It was charging much faster than it would have in the atmosphere, but she knew that was a double edged sword. Dissipating all the heat that was building up was much harder in a vacuum. Fortunately there were some new systems that could help her better manage it. The armor plates on Merrygate's shoulders could absorb some of the heat building up in the arms as well, but even that had its limits. If she fired now, she might be able to overpower the barriers these mysterious suits used, but it was no guarantee. "We're not capturing them while they're still powered," Rex came in over the radio. Judging by his position on the radar and his response, he was focused on the unresponsive unit as well, "Destroy it." May winced. "If the pilot's out, shouldn't we just go grab the suit?" "We've got no idea what these things are capable of, yet. Destroy it." Sure enough, Rebellion's rail cannons started firing linked shots repeatedly at the target. He got off twelve shots in just a few seconds. From the look of things, he seemed to be trying to pressure the shield, and not simply punch straight through it.
