That's a really neat visual. Thracia getting more than Awakening, never thought I'd see that. Hopefully Genealogy will get more soon.

I also like how it makes it easy to look at the different hero types - of the 143, there's 65 New Heroes (45.5%), 55 seasonals (38.5%), 13 legendaries/mythics (9.1%), and 10 other alts (7.0%). (Although I'd disagree with Catria's classification, personally.)

In contrast - by my count, 2018 had 51 New Heroes (41.8%), 38 seasonals (31.1%), 13 legendaries/mythics (10.7%), and 20 other alts (16.4%), for a total of 122 units. (Also 2018 had 6 OCs among its New Heroes while 2019 had 0. And 2018's legendary/mythic lineup was 2 OCs and 11 alts while 2019's was 2 OCs, 6 alts, and 5 new characters.)

All in all, I think Heroes is in a much better place than it was a year ago.

i think so. (that's what the video was showing but this is very much a nice just look haha)
it will be very intriguing (per usual) how the game moves forward.

all i know is i am ready for Dancers.

I'm like, still waiting for Rath to be added into the game. EDIT: Along with some others, but I think he's the highest up in the CYL voting of all the units I want.

Someone on Reddit put this together (link here). Damn, I hadn't noticed Genealogy got that little this year.

Wow! I will say that we had a good variety of New Heroes banners this year. I just noticed that Blazing Blade didn't have any New Heroes banner. Two Eliwood alts and the rest are seasonals. Not to mention poor Genealogy that only got Julia.

Awakening was also kinda bad, with no seasonal at all. I kinda miss Awakening now, something that I would not say in the first year. lol

God dagger rokkrs are such a pain. It took 6 Heroic Axes, A Seal DEF 3, 4 Spur ATKs, an ATK Tactic seal, 3 dancers and a +ATK Brave Roy with his refine and BoL3, Death Blow 3 and Sturdy Blow 3 seal but I somehow BARELY got it done.

Ugh, never again. Now I think all I'm missing is the Bow Rokkr accessory.

If FE7 is due to get a new heroes banner soon, can it PLEASE have Sain? And regular Fiora. I'd take Wil too.

Actually.... even if the sword infantry pool is saturated, I'd be partial to Guy instead of Fiora... actually... Farina instead of Fiora since she's the only missing sister technically. And give Leila the colorless spot instead of Wil. I'm onboard for Sain but I doubt he'd show up without Kent.

I like Leila, but Wil is more relevant and I kinda like him more. He's the earlygame archer for this game. Others of which we've gotten in some form. Gordin, Rolf, Wolt, Virion, they're all in, though two of those are seasonal. And the other two are launch units. So...yeah. xP

As for Sain not showing up without Kent, well, you never know. We got Oscar without Kieran, Elincia without Geoffrey or Lucia, etc.

I like Wil but the problem is that one: I'm biased to Matthew so I'd really like to see his beloved get playable and see what she gets and two: Wil is kind of destined to be shafted. There's a really good chance that a unit like will would A. be the demote and get an underwhelming kit or B. be the 3-4 unit and get an even more underwhelming kit. Best case scenario is that he'd be like Norne with an overall solid statline but with no prf he'll likely be inferior to specialists.

Obviously this doesn't matter if we're just talking about characters we want because we'll take them in any form we can get them in. In that regard I'm defaulting back to Leila because of Matthew. Plus dagger units are just more fun than archers and if Leila didn't have anything interesting maybe I could tinker around with Jaffar's Minty Cane+. It's really fun in theory.

I don't know about destined to be shafted when we saw the not-so-popular Yarne get a crazy set. Again, you never know. IS has been known to shock us.

But if you have bias, well, that's you. I personally got more bias for Wil, so... xP

And really, I'll take Sain and Wil no matter what happens with them. Seasonal, or TT, or even if they're GHB for some reason. lol I would rather them be good units than subpar ones though, of course.

Yarne was a beast unit when beast units were still fairly new and IS wanted to release attractive ones worth pulling on banners. So he was a special case.

Anyways yeah, Bias is bias. Seasonal Sain would be a great groom though, if not for the irony.

Can we just have a groom banner with all the skirt chasers in the franchise? I know I’d dump a lot of orbs for groom Sylvain and Inigo/Laslow. It would be funny at least

Rath, Pent, Nils, and Louise. These guys need to get in before anyone else in Blazing Sword. All of them scored very highly on CYL and yet got skipped over for the Black Fang and Karla last time. That is all.

Yes to all three. We got summer Fiora using a sword, maybe regular Fiora could use a lance to be different. And Sain is pretty popular and could probably carry a banner on the males' side, and Wil is one of the only early game archers left to add.

Yeah they probably should....but there's a good chance that they won't (especially with Pent and Louise since they're technically in the game already).

Dieck was 7th among the FE6 cast in CYL3 and we got two FE6 banners this year.....yet neither of them had Dieck. Instead, they chose to prioritize characters far below him in CYL3 like Thea, Igrene, Larum and Chad instead because reasons. Then we have Fluorspar Selena, who got shafted on the FE8 banner thanks Ephraim and Lyon despite placing 3rd among the FE8 cast in CYL3.

I guess my point is, IS is kinda prone to doing whatever the fuck they what when it comes to selecting characters to add.

I'd agree, though I'm not sure that'll be the case with how many lance fliers we already have. Fiora would need a real interesting niche to feel worth it for some people.

Even if you say that, they aren't skipping all that many units at once among the top spots, so I'd expect at least 2 or 3 of the top 4 to appear in the next banner for the game (though they may or may not choose to count characters that already have seasonals).

Ranulf, Haar, Lethe, Caineghis, and Tibarn were first, second, fourth, sixth, and seventh among the characters not yet in the game from Tellius. Ilyana and Greil, who only got seasonals, were fifth and ninth. Leanne, Naesala, and Mordecai were the next three beasts in line at 14th, 19th, and 21st overall. Kurthnaga at 22nd was likely skipped in favor of Reyson at 23rd for thematic reasons. And Sigrun is just somewhere in the middle at 17th.

Idunn, Rutger, Lugh, Perceval, Sue, and Echidna were first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh among the characters not yet in the game from Binding Blade. Wolt, who only got a seasonal, was eighth. Thea, Brunnya, and Igrene were not all that far behind at 11th, 12th, and 15th, and Chad and Lalum at 17th and 24th were likely added for thematic reasons.

Cormag, Ross, and Gerik were second, third, and fourth among the characters not yet in the game from The Sacred Stones with Tethys and Ewan at eighth and ninth added for thematic reasons.

So if you count seasonals, Tellius only skipped 2 of its top 8, Binding Blade skipped only 1 of its top 8, and The Sacred Stones only skipped 1 of its top 4.

Well two of them are in as seasonals so the banner might be less exciting.

Im surprised, the Double Daggers round is actually easy. Dark Emperor brave flexing strats works.

This made me wonder if i should start making some Brave Quad for these kind of maps.... in which i have Green Ready if i need to lol

Looking back Sully and Stahl would probably utterly dominate Rokkr but Rokkr isnt hard enough to make them rip

Sully and Stahl have the problem that their weapons' Brave effect is only active on enemy phase.

This means you only get one round of combat per turn to use the Brave effect against the boss compared to four rounds of combat per turn with a pair of Brave Galeforce units, not to mention that one round of combat is usually going to be the one that is more favorable to the boss and not to you.

....wow i didn't realize that lmaoo thought its like Cain Abel

Is it weird that i always thought that in vacuum the BullPanther duo refine effect(both of them) are some of the most absurd thing in the game? too bad about the main and the unit they are on though lol
