You sound a bit miffed, friend-o. Hentai artists usually draw well, so why not hire them to do some work?

 

I had no idea Senri drew Ryoma(more like I wasn't looking at the name). It's cool that she's doing some Fire Emblem art again. I lost my mind when I saw Himukai's name in the trailer. His style suits Fae a lot.

Senri Kita, HACCAN and mayo have Cipher art to their name.  Wouldn't surprise me if a couple of others had it, but I'm not going to look through eight sets to figure it out.

Fae definitely looks like she stepped out of EO, so Himukai Yuji being her artist makes sense. And Kotobuki Tsukasa's art has improved tenfold since Toshinden (presumably the anime adaptation, but the game wasn't that great lookin' either), but then again they've also worked on Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin which is pretty good looking.

Celica's Awakening DLC was designed by a hentai doujin artist. There's no real stigma about artists who do hentai designing for things that aren't in Japan.

Adult-oriented artwork is a way to show how well an artist can show off a character and directly show how well he or she understood anatomy.

I know this is very subjective and I don't know much about art, but in my personal opinion, the art for that game is absolutely dreadful and the outfits are some of the ugliest I've ever seen in a game. I'll take the toilet Cavaliers of Awakening any day over that.

The other other FE Wiki lists the artists from Cipher here. ZIS and fuzichoco are the only ones besides the ones you mentioned that have Cipher art credited to them.

EDIT: Cross-referenced the artist names we have so far with the Cipher site Glac listed below, and confirmed that only those five have Cipher art.

The only weird design so far is that main character's pants, and since this is Xenoblade we'll definitely have the option to change people's equipment and it's reflect on their appearance.

Everyone else just wears mecha-looking armor so... I don't see what's wrong with that.

That redheaded girl wears super small pants that reveal half of her ass in the concept art though. It doesn't even look like fan service, it just looks unattractive. Also, I can't sand the faces, but this is neither here nor there.

I should mention that it's the male Robin in particular who was done by Fujiwara Ryo; the female Robin hasn't made an appearance yet and could potentially be done by a different illustrator.

Well, I'm not familiar at all with the realm of manga/anime, the only one I enjoyed so far was the Fire Emblem OAV, and more for FE reasons (I really appreciate the fact that it wasn't over the top though).

It's not how they draw, it's what they might draw. But as long as the artwork stay true to the original, and it's been the case very often until now, I won't mind the differences due to modernization and its artist's vision. In a word, if they don't sexualise characters that were not.

Well I guess there's no hope for Eiji Kaneda returning here is there?

On a more serious note, the artist behind Marth is a genius and displays Marth perfectly to the point that it makes me wonder why other artists can't get influenced by this dude....

EDIT: Also, if Nintendo is serious about having different artists for different characters, then why not ask Akira Toriyama as well? His artstyle can definitely fit for some units like Sain or...and if done right..Hector.

I don't see that happening, big profile artists rarely do work for games (Unless they're in charge of drawing way more things than two or three characters) and TCGs, most of the time it's better to hire freelancers and doujin artists.
