Ike and Micaiah Shipping rankings

...which then leads to Ike ignoring her request, setting off for Ashera-knows-where, and Mist not having an A support with Boyd and thus living alone. Not related to the shipping poll necessarily, but I think it speaks miles of Ike's strange urge to just up and leave Tellius regardless of connections to friends and family.

As for who I ship Ike with (to keep on topic), it changes without much consistency. Elincia, Soren, Lethe...I'm not one to hold characters to a single pairing most of the time with a few exceptions here and there. Ike's one of those characters who's difficult to interpret due to him simply not being explicit in his affections in general.

That is... interesting to say the least.

Micaiah I'm indifferent to, Volug seems funny for her though. Pelleas could work for her really well to be honest. Better than Sothe really. They have great chemistry, and it's not weird like Sothe x Micaiah. 

 

Also, headcanon time for why Ike and Elincia are so flat to each other in RD to excuse the flair that the localization gave for PoR. Ike and Elincia did date for awhile after PoR but then broke up, and the break up ended rather poorly. Both can be professional, but the spark that was there is now lost.

I chose Leonardo for Micaiah since they always seem to end up together when I write about FE10 xD Pelleas would be my first choice, though. They just seem right together ^.^

Ike... Eh, I change him around a lot. I don't really have a set pairing for him that I like, although I'm not a shounen ai / yaoi shipper so no males. I can see him with Lethe, Titania, Elincia... But no one specific, and I have more preferred pairings for those mentioned (Ranulf, Rhys, Geoffrey).

Before playing PoR and RD, I used to think that IkeSoren shippers were only like LynFlorina shippers, zero basis and just exageration, but after played both games and reading their information for the artbooks, and a lot of meta analysis, I can't not bring myself to burn in the IkeSoren Hell.

I mean, their relationship is like Eliwood and Ninian one, and they were my favorite Lord ship, Soren even has an asshole dad to match! Ike and Soren relationship is based on loyalty and trust to each other, Soren adores Ike and can only be happy at his side, he owes him a lot, he means a lot to him. And I doubt it can be one-sided, in PoR Ike always remember us the player that he worries about Soren a lot, and notes even the more little detail about him, like Soren being angry, and Ike never refuse Soren anything, he says no to Aimee, she is a stalker but Soren stalks Ike even more, to Elincia, and don't show interest in any woman, but he shows interest in Soren, and even Ranulf. Also, is taken as canon in RD that thay have A support from PoR, they even have an extra base conversation about how they meet for first time, I fucking cried when Soren says that he only wanted to see Ike one more time, I fucking cried! Also, both of them seems to feel good in each other company, they have a good chemistry. I admit that they're not canon, but is a fact that they're implicated at EliwoodxNinian level. Also, they follow the classic formula of the lord romantic relationship with a non human girl. And follow the basis of the "one of them is a non human being at all and people hate them, but only one person cares and then love starts", like in "Elfen Lied" with Kaede and Kouta... Minus the tragic ending, also the way they meet remembered me of the true route of " euphoria"... In how the protagonist meet the canon girl, not the porn part.

Also, thanks to The Legend of Zelda I despiste or hate heroxprincess dinamic, too cliche and boring, also, IkexElincia was created by the translators. 

But after to be treated as a filthy fujoshi, I don't have problems with people shipping Ike with whoever they want, is a taste think, but I'm a looser to character with tragic past in love with the person that tries to help them. Ans I want a love like Ike and Soren ones.

As for Micaiah, she and Sothe don't click to me, and usually I don't have problems with canon pairings to the lord, but I would prefered Micaiah with Pelleas than Micaiah with Sothe any time. Also, even if I like HaarxJill, SothexMicaiah is like weird, I mean, even if Haar meet Jill when she was a baby, he never treats her like she is his daughter or something like that. For me Micaiah is better with Pelleas, I love Pelleas

And all the fiercy loyal love interest is better played at Soren than Sothe. And Soren has the plus of the funny love triangle thing with Aimee, SorenxIkexAimee is my OT3 actually.

Also, Priam can still be canon EVEN if Ike is gay.

this thread is really old and apparently I voted meg for micaiah which was a joke since I like meg 

but after replaying part 1 of fe10, I still really hate sothe but since I immediately broke off micaiah's support with him I ended up having her support with leonardo instead and now I think I might be sf's only unironic leonardo/micaiah shipper

Hmm...these are some tough choices, but it I have to choose...

Ike x Elincia 

I love how their relationship develops and how pretty much, at least in PoR, its the opposite of the classic "prince marries ordinary girl" trope. It's been  awhile since I played PoR or RD, but one thing I can say for certain is that I love this ship. The way Elincia looks at Ike in the ending cut-scene of PoR makes my inner fangirl squeal. Can't believe they didn't have an actual fleshed out support or ending at the end of RD. Ike would have made a great king of Crimea even though that would've meant he would no longer be leading the Griel Mercenaries, imo.

Micaiah x Soren

I wasn't sure about Micaiah to be honest. I pair her with either Ike, since they're main protagonists and are the ones who ultimately stop Ashera, or Soren, who she shares a sort of kinship with because they are both branded. Her marrying Sothe is a bit creepy for multiple reasons.

Micaiah has only shown feelings for Sothe and vice versa. Ike is pretty much asexual. 

So I say Micaiah X Sothe while Ike remains single but BFF with Soren.

Obviously MicaiahxSothe then either IkexElincia or IkexMia. Before playing Path of Radiance I preferred IkexMia, but after Path of Radiance Ike and Elincia make more sense. Their bond isn't as strong in Radiant Dawn, which is a shame.

I ship Micaiah x Zelgius and Ike x Lethe. So I went "Other" for the Micaiah poll. Seems to be a lot of votes for "other" too. Wonder what other characters people were thinking of. Hmm.

I always shipped Micaiah and Zelgius, I really liked reading their interactions and their characters were very similar.

They're both branded generals of Daein who were isolated as a result, and put too much trust in people which led them to do stupid things. Really wish they got more interactions, thought it was a great pairing. I'm not much of a shipper, but Micaiah x Zelgius is my OTP and one of my few Fire Emblem pairings, in fact. Imo she is more similar to him than Soren, and they're roughly the same age and don't treat each other as sibilings (which is what turned me away from Micaiah x Sothe).
