SEVA
Not that this is a major thing, but I gotta share this somewhere. I was just listening to some nice old-school prog rock, when I stumbled upon this gem: Nice music, right? Now, listen to the section starting at about 5:05. Sound familiar? (Reminder that this track is from a 1976 album.) Solution: Spoiler
qwernst
A lot of video game songs have similar sounding or straight knock offs of pop/rock music. Other examples include: Chrono Trigger - Robo's Theme (Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley) and The Kingdom Trial (The Trial by Pink Floyd) Street Fighter - Ken's Theme (Mighty Wings by Cheap Trick) Legand Of Zelda Majora's Mask - Clock Town (Lupang Hinirang the National Anthem of the Philippines) Actraiser - Ending Theme (20th Century Fox Theme) Mega Man - Elec Man Stage (Faithfully by Journey) WWF Wrestlemania 2000 - Main Menu (Psycho Holiday by Pantera) Final Fantasy 7 - Still More Fighting (For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica) Dr. Mario - Fever (Lady Madonna by The Beatles) About half of Earthbound's music
SEVA
I'm aware of that. That's why I decided I should share this, just to add this specific case to the list. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere before. Right now there's nothing to suggest I wasn't the first person who noticed this one, or at least cared enough to tell anyone. Cornguy
That is like lawsuit level of similarity. I love In the Name of Bern. Guess I've got a new band to check out.
