My standard Ayra/Cordelia+Guidance/PA Azura/bonus(Hinoka) team didn't manage to pull any wins at all after like 4 days. So I switched out Azura for Camilla to stack my highest merged units. I've had a hard time getting defenses lately, with usually no more than 1-2. With the new system tonight I hope I won't be kissing my defenses goodbye.. Also, brave Soleil is the best meme. Initially, I got saddled with 5070, which is well below if I'd rolled average very time (726*7 for 5082). Spent a trio of Dueling Crests for the first time in a while fishing for higher scores. It didn't take long, since my average made it pretty easy to beat the garbage I was initially given. Just to be sure, though, I spent a couple swords to make sure it was above average. Might as well while I was there. Really didn't want to gamble another AA streak, though. It was quite disappointing because despite merging Sheena up to +9 and then adding two Drive skills for another 80 SP, I got low-balled even harder than last week. I guess the one upside is that since we're in water season, even a 5212 likely wasn't going to say in top 1000, so the bad score doesn't really matter. Still discouraging from a "scout what this does to my score" perspective, though. The gacha mocked me this week, as when I was trying to get that last Sheena, it threw two F!Kanas at me in the same session. They were, of course, -Atk and -Spd. Ended up speed leveling the -Spd one and patching up that deficiency with Lancebreaker. She replaced Ryoma as my bonus unit because, even though Ryoma has DC, he's redundant with A!Tiki (she runs TA3, so she can 1v4 a full green team—something she did this week, in fact). Plus, F!Kana, scores the same, is borderline invincible when attacked and synergizes better with Tiki and Nowi. Didn't merge the -Atk one into her because I'm not ready to commit a merge to either of those banes and I might want to give someone Goad Dragons. Rafiel's Aria Posted May 7, 2018 Share Posted May 7, 2018 Had a pretty good run this season. I finally got Lucius to +10, so my score got boosted a little bit. And this meant that for AA, I could run four 5 star +10 characters for the first time. (This was after I had already gotten my weekly score.) But when I tried to get a better score, I saw some match-ups worth 740+. Wow. My final score for Arena was 5084 and for AA it was 5102. Got 10 defense wins. Hoping that I can improve my score a little it next week. I am a little apprehensive about the reward changes, but here's hoping they're still pretty decent. Teams faced (streak): Spoiler I ended up giving Lilina a slot on a team with Celica, Tana, and Julia, since it's been a while since those three have seen the Arena. Lilina did well for herself...honestly part of the decision to field that team was to float her as a candidate to replace Celica on that core. I'm still debating. On AA I ended with a rank of 5,040....urghh that one stings because I was so close to top 5k. It's water season sure but that Nino isn't even carrying a blessing. And when she and Matt get the rest of their merges my score will only get higher. Slowly creeping into the higher ups. Like you said, guys, I dropped to tier 19 last week since my points aren't enough... and now, I'm ranking up again to tier 20... without the points due to blessings ! 4924 points, I was in the bottom of the tier who'll rank up, but I did it ! Team bellow : Spoiler Robin is merge to +7 ! +10 dream is not far away now ! Kinshi Hinoka was the focus unit, and her Flier replacement seems to do a lot of problem. Got three defense wins this week ! And a little Hall of Interesting Units : Spoiler Klein getting some defensive love. 36/37 on defensives stats are not bad. For comparison, my current Arena team scores 726 per match on average, so 3620 would be the new 5082. Even if I could import my AA team, which scores 744 per match, I'd only hit 3720. And while it's not all that impressive next to the power creeped teams of whales, I'm skeptical that even the hardest minmaxing would give them a 56-point advantage over me (I wanted to check this on my usual calculator site, but it appears to be down). Xenomata Posted May 9, 2018 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Well, can't say I really know what's different about new Arena... having the TT stat boost is nice though, since the unit I have to use won't be quite as much baggage as they could potentially be. In this case, I was using Siegbert, so while he wasn't baggage per say, I won't say I was looking forward to using him, but he did his job nicely... even though most of what he did was reposition everyone... but he is a horsie, so he did it well. I suppose overall more feathers and one extra orb for less time spent? I guess it won't be such a headache now though. Usually when I lose an arena streak, it's on or after the 5th battle anyways.
