Well, I was getting close to drop from T18 40% with my 3512 point, so I went in there again. 3521. Now I have 2500 people behind me above 40%

I am not going to try harder, let's see if this is enough.

My alt went on a send-home spree desperately trying to raise feathers to promote Tailtiu - success. But I might as well field Anna anyway, I don't have a merged core on this account yet.

My offense score of 3710 is currently rank 3277/3551 to promote into Tier 21, with 24 hours to go. 

Aaaaahhhh, too close, but I really don't want to fish hard.  I guess I'll monitor the drop and decide whether or not to redo it later tonight... Lugging around Sharena (don't get me wrong, she's a good girl) as my bonus unit is rough because of all the axe armours.

Hanging onto my spot in Tier 21 by a thread (100 spots above cut off atm). Tbh, part of me is hoping I drop down to tier 20 so I don't have to think about it day in and day out. The stress isn't welcomed atm.

Have burnt through almost all of my crests now, as the game refuses to actually give me the score of my team. 738-752 is my range, yet I rarely see anything above 742. Has anyone else came across this? (I'm sure I'm not the only one).

I'm around 2,000 ranks away from staying in tier 21. That doesn't seem much, but I think I'll never reach the necessary score range as long as none of my higher merged units is bonus.

Wait, do units that get a new weapon refinement become arena bonus soon afterwards?

It would be fantastic to have Cherche as a bonus unit, I could run her DB3 set for the first time in ages. Perhaps with Drag Back or Axebreaker.

This week I have an arena score of 3,597. With 6 defense wins with a team of Ceada, LegEphraim, Ninian, and mCorrin. My idea of "win sword" Caeda to murder other players horses and armors cyl units paid off. Sadly my AA score is 4,662, lower than usual. Not too much interest in the mode this week. For the next two weeks, my arena score is going the tank due to weak bonus heroes.

I’m going to miss using Brave Hector. These are going to be a dark couple of weeks when I have to use Anna of all people as my bonus unit. Man do they suck this time.

Excited for the upcoming AA season, since this will be the first water season where I get to field both Gwendolyn +10 and Fjorm +7 alongside each other. Hopefully I can break through the top-1000 barrier again. Regular Arena is going to be dicier. Anna is the squishiest of the trio and Atk also isn't terribly amazing. Debating on if I should try to shore up her bulk with the Def refine or push her Spd into overdrive with the Spd refine. Either way, prolonged fights are going to be painful for her. Toyed with the idea of promoting a Tailtiu and running her, since she'd also be very useful in AA after her time ends. Might cause me too many scoring issues, though (not to mention comp issues, since my armours aren't really built to support a blade tome).

Dropping back to tier 20 and stayed comfortably in the top 3k for AA, so pretty good week. Didn't bother to play regular arena properly, since there was no way I could stay in 21, especially with it being CYL unit season. I also got 9 defense wins, even without switching up my defense team. I guess Veronica was annoying for some people.

Next season should be a lot more fun, assuming CYL units drop in usage some after their bonus period is up. I'm tired of Hector's being on every team, even if Veronica handled him just fine. I do run all 4 tactics on my current team, so we'll see if Marth's blade blade lets him nuke blues as good as Alfonse double brazen combo was able to.  I'm unsure how he'll do against Effies and CYL Hectors, since he wont have the same high def Alfonse gets. At least Nowis are toast.

Nobody on my team has fire blessings to go with Marth and I don't want to waste blessings by switching, so hopefully my score will still be enough without them.

Took it easy this week since there's no point in my wasting so many crests to try to stay in tier 21. I didn't even do all of the Arena quests for the VG because I didn't feel like it. lol Almost didn't do my AA run. Been too distracted by another game anyways. So I dropped back down into tier 21 and stayed in the top 5k for AA. Super excited to get to use Legendary Marth next week. He'll be SUPER useful against dragons. I'm also using my newly +10-ed M. Morgan. Even gave him a fire blessing for a little extra scoring.

A well-timed Narcian bonus cycle, having him land every kill, and fishing for exclusively 744+ scores allows me to actually to stay in the Great Summoner tier!  I had initially scored something in the ball park of 3,77x, but this week was even more competitive than I was anticipating.  I can now rest easy going back and forth between tiers for the foreseeable future.  I recorded my arena run this time, if anyone's interested in watching Narcian go on a tear against some of the toughest foes the 740+ arena meta has to offer.

Offense score of 3792 (T21) remains in T21, combining with a defense score of 622 for max rewards.

Turns out my Celica outscores my Ephraim. I had to slap an Armorsmasher+ on her because ew, Brave Hector (seriously though, going from 0 damage to 2HKO just seemed so strange). It was pretty fun though, all things considered. I had to toss Ardent Sacrifice support in there to keep Double Lion up.

Next two seasons are Saber, probably, since he’s pity broken me an annoying amount of times. I’m not sure if I’ll need to give him an Armorslayer/smasher...I’ll see how he does with Slaying Edge+ & Luna first.

Back to tier 20, it was fun being in tier 21 for a week. Let's see if I'll be able to go back and forth between those two or if I'll just stay in tier 20 forever. 

I only got 1 Def win this week, but that's more than good enough for me.

AA is the same as usual, very close to the top 5k but still outside it. Guess that's the limit my team can currently reach outside of Water Season.

As I suspected, 5063 fell out of the AA top 10k. Given how painful fighting at that level already is, I feel it's no longer worth it sending out my full-strength team out for AA. Sandbagging for a lower score in the 15-20k range should make it a less stressful chore each week.

I ran some simple simulations because I was bored.

It looks like Tier 21 this past week was about 90% as large it will be at equilibrium. That means Tier 21 is not going to get much bigger than about 5,600 players with only 1,700 staying in Tier 21 every week.

This means that we're already almost at the equilibrium state, so if you see yourself bouncing between Tier 19 and Tier 20 or Tier 20 and Tier 21 right now, that's probably where you're going to be staying until a major shake-up happens, either if the scoring method sees a shift or you get new toys that let you move higher.

 

That also means that there are about 300,000 people actively playing in the Arena across all tiers each week.

I got into tier 21 this week but there's no way I can stay in since on average I get around 730 plus bonus unit kills. I'm rather shocked by how many defense wins I got even though my team comp consists of three greens and one red. I guess my speedy tanks throw people off and some people used Sharena.

Well this was a fun Arena season once I got the brave toys to play with. Ephraim and Veronica just trivialized the opposition and let me achieve every kill as a bonus kill for the first time. Usually I only get 1/2 to 3/4. If only I had them the first week or if my up and down tier cycle was different I may have actually had a chance to climb up to 21.
