It's not the highest I could do considering the whole Fjorm inflation stuff going on but doing more is just overkill because I just need to get to tier 20 this week. AA though, it hurts that a score of 5,034 put me about where I always end every week (around top 6k). It seems that I'll never get into the top 5k here if I don't invest in armors with boosted BST but I'm not a whale so that's not an option. The gacha was kind enough to let me build that super Sheena +7 that slightly outscores Nino, so we'll see how much of a difference that makes next season. Really would like to get those last three merges, though (and in theory, it should be easier with her demotion, but...). Alkaid Posted April 16, 2018 Share Posted April 16, 2018 It looks like I'm actually safe to stay in tier 20 this week, for the first time since like August. I'm 4,900/5,918 with a score of 5,096. Also looks safe for top 5k in AA at rank 4004 with a score of 5,077. It's pretty much all thanks to water week + Fjorm bonus unit buffing my whole team's score. It's a really good week to keep in tier 20 too, since no way I'll have a chance to stay next season with my bad bonus unit options and no blessing help. Got me to 20202 feathers so that's neat. AA rank with 4868 points was 18749 so that got pretty close too. On Tuesday, I made a run of 5,084, and figured that was good enough. To my surprise, I noticed yesterday that my score was slowly being pushed out of the tier 20 threshold. The inflation has been ridiculous this week, no doubt caused by the Water/Earth combo we got. Two of the best-scoring legendary heroes that everyone had an opportunity to get for free along with their blessing recipients probably made up a lot of borderline teams this week. The Thracia banner gave me the last Caeda I needed, so she was given her last merge before redoing my run. I was more selective about opponent scores this time, and wound up with my first 5,100! This will likely be the last time I can score this well until one of the four are bonus units again, so I'm savoring it while it lasts. XD I'll take my rewards and go. Between all the HM grinding I've been doing, I've got enough feathers for 3 promotions, but I'm currently undecided about what I want to do. There was a 708 which helped but with a score of 4934 I was ranked 13,363 out of 13,581. And i didn’t have to use my extra Fjorm for a merge yet which is neat. also i managed to get a late defense win for each account which is a relief! Humanoid Posted April 17, 2018 Share Posted April 17, 2018 The only route I can see for picking up short-term points is giving a couple of merges to Michalis (water) and Xander (fire). Doing so will merely bump them up to the value of a completely vanilla Fjorm. That's kinda sad, and also economically irrational as it's a 40k feather investment each for a 14 arena point bonus that will be relevant, on average, once per month (on average, since it will be the correct season only half the time, and I only need to be promoted half the time). Being generous and assuming that keeps me in T19.5 instead of T18.5 indefinitely at the cost of 80000 feathers, that's, um, a 133 week payback time on the investment. Yeah, I'll pass on that deal. I think my best bet is literally doubling down on red with Alfonse. So this week I basically have a 3 man team this week. Busy weekend so I probably won't have any time to train anyone like Saias up either. Probably will have to just be content with dropping down to 18 this week rather than bouncing between 20 and 19. Should hopefully be able to push back into 19 the week after even with dead weight. I guess I should have pulled more on the Thracia banner. I'm not sure if I should keep Airzura there or change her for Sheena because dancing isn't going to be very helpful when I have Alfonse there only for the bonus points. If I don't get a def win in 3 days I'll lower my team score to see how they fare against people in the 696-698 range. At least I finished my AA run first try with a score of 4976 (the game chose to give me five 708 matches which is the absolute lowest in my range, how annoying). Got a good 4910 points this season, so that's straight back to tier 19 (I'm yoyoing between 18 and 19 since long, now...) Team : Spoiler Fjorm got the place of Robin during these three weeks. I was really happy to not see the new Rein during this last week. Caeda is +3, and got the Earth Blessing just for this last week. Her B and C skills are temporary, I still need to think of something better. Like Chill Spd, but I got no Fallen Celica... Hall of Fame : Spoiler Well, nothing really stands out... Except these two. And they were in the SAME team. Azama was super tanky, since there was a Vanguard Ike too with Tactical Def, Robin's absence hitted hard here. But now, Robin will be back. I was looking forward to being able to use my merged Ursula as a bonus unit. I also find it funny that though Leif is the main character of his game, Reinhardt gets top billing for the Arena bonus units this week. mampfoid Posted April 18, 2018 Share Posted April 18, 2018 While yesterday was a slow start for my Arena activities (only managed to get my regular arena score of 5,006 to enter tier 20 again), today everything went better: Two defense wins and I got a new personal Highscore in AA: 5,054. Since its not water season anymore, I hope it will be enough for top 5k again. My highest match-up was 728, but 724+ ones are rare for me. Cherche got her golden Border yesterday, maybe it's time to show off my current Arena Assault team: Spoiler Skills are optimized for score. It's enough to get into Tier 19 again, which is all that really matters to me anyway. Next week will be relaxed since I don't think I ever actually want to get to Tier 20. I could +10 my A!Tiki now, but I don't want to fodder off a +RES -SPD A!Tiki for some reason... I hope I'll pull another one soon. Ironically I pulled yet 3 more Faes and still no Nowi unfortunately.
