This. This is the reason why I stopped playing several other gacha games like Granblue Fantasy or Fate: Grand Order. Not that much games pay more attention to their male-liking audience. I think IS do care to their female fans,  more than many games in general, I mean since Genealogy some manga adaptation are shoujo manga, and another Shadow Dragon manga and that Leo-centric spin-off is shoujo too. Also, Awakening gives fanservice to both male and female, not only Tharja and Cordelia slapped into swimsuits but also Chrom and Gaius. I am really thankful for that. 

I don't mind fanservice, but if you bother to put male characters in the game, make them fanservicey too. And boy does I like it that in Fates and Awakening many males are as fanservicey as the females XD

Yeah, I'm glad lucina's the only blue, should make getting her much easier. With 257 orbs, I've got 51 pulls to try and get her. And that's assuming I'm spending 5 orbs every time (ie, there aren't multiple blue orbs to reduce the cost)

add to that the upcoming 9 orbs from the xenologue, the 12 from the lunatic quests I haven't done yet, the 10 or so from the Twitter quiz, 17 story maps I haven't cleared yet, and three orbs a day for two weeks for another 42 orbs, and finally, 2 for two Sunday's, and that's another 17. 

So, only pulling once each time, I've got 68 tries to get her right now. Assuming, of course, they don't give us even more orbs.....

Edit: lol, forgot about the ten you can get from the Nintendo account. So, 70 total.

I fully agree. Some games are getting better with it - but even many games I play on home consoles have swimsuit DLC or popstar DLC for their girls only and it grates on me. That's when I hate fanservice (that and when they're fanservicing children >.< )

I don't think there's been any indication of that. Regular Xander has Distant Counter built into his sword, like Ryoma, so it doesn't seem like he'll get the skill separately, and I doubt Easter Xander will get it at all.

The designs are pretty ridiculous on the one hand, but on the other, I kind of like the effort that went into this just to do something goofy for the player base. If I remember correctly, the interview with the devs mentioned how the game would have small spots of comic relief like this in the form of xenologues and holiday events, so in hindsight this wasn't unexpected.

As for the units themselves, I'm most likely pulling on the banner. Mage flier has a ton of potential--I got a Hinoka with hone fliers to abuse it with--and I still need a good blue mage and green axe. Xander with potential Distant Carrot (patent pending) is crazy too.

Oh, don't go patent pending my Distant Carrot now.  It and Eggscalibur are Rezzy trademarks.

I actually like these fun holiday events, and since I don't really care who I get as long as they fit in my collection (just having everyone once) then i'm fine! I like the costumes very much!

I'm liking the look of this banner a whole lot more than I thought I would. I find it hilarious that we're getting bunny Xander before the real thing, and I kind of want him just for that.

I'm torn, though. Camilla is the one I want most by far (I'd pull for a flying mage even if I didn't like her design, really... and that wyvern is adorable), but Chrom is the one I want least, and there aren't many other non-5*-exclusive green units left I particularly want... I'm not sure if I should limit myself to one color or not. On the other hand, I can't say when we'll see them again, and there's always the slim chance of getting Hector too.

Xander and Chrom look fine to me, but wow, Lucina and Camilla look disgusting. Even if I did like them as characters, I wouldn't pull them in these outfits. They're far too revealing and sexualized for my tastes. They might as well be called Playboy Bunnies here. This is a Nintendo game, not a porn/Playboy magazine.

And it really is going to be up for half a month like the others? Stupid and lame. Only actual new characters should be reserved for that. There's nothing new here, not even Xander since he does appear in the story. Can't believe I have to skip the banner AGAIN.

I also don't like complaining as much as I have been. But I didn't choose for these banners to happen, so...

Same here. I don't play Heroes to see women in skimpy sexual outfits. Same with men, though that's obviously harder to do since...well, it's men. They don't have as much to "reveal."

Chrom and Xander aren't wearing anything skimpy. Men aren't objectified in media like women are. *rolls eyes* I'd be surprised if they'd really approve of the girls wearing those! Especially Chrom, because that's his DAUGHTER.

At the very least, why couldn't Lucina be wearing a more modest bunny dress with maybe poofy-ish short sleeves and a skirt something along the lines of what Elise normally wears (just a taaad longer unless she has "modesty shorts" underneath like Sharena)? And for Camilla, she could've had a lovely evening gown-type bunny outfit. Doesn't even require sleeves to look modest enough, just something without THAT much cleavage and looking like it'll easily fall right down.

This is still a Nintendo game too, though. They're supposed to be more "family friendly" overall. Fire Emblem itself wasn't ever this bad except for maybe Camilla and Charlotte's normal designs.

Like, I myself isn't excited for this banner and don't particularly care... but Belinda is excited for it. Should I be rude and tell her that she's being excited for crap? No. No, I wouldn't.

If you dislike it so much, then don't comment and stay away from it. This thread is about laughs and what people like. Not a bellyaching thread.
