For example, I value story a lot so it is a significant priority (that's why Conquest scores lower than Birthright in my book). Reality Posted April 11, 2017 Share Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) Best 3pt New Mystery 2pt Shadow Dragon 1pt Conquest Worst 3pt Genealogy 2pt Radiant Dawn 1pt Birthright - On paper I think I would put Birthright> FE6-10, but I don't really like what it represents between marketing itself as the easy version and sticking to standard FE gameplay (seemingly meaning GBA.)," 7-9 have pathethic difficulty n their hardest modes. 6 and 10, are a better, even if 6's difficulty really lasts through the first 7 chapters+ siege tome BS late game. 10 HM itself is cool enough through chapter 3. I can justify throwing Birthright under the bus because it's Lunatic mode reverses the trend of the other easy game HM- Birthright Lunatic's early game is still a joke. I think C16-18 and C22-endgame are probably the peak of the difficulty, which is quite different from RD/FE6 kinda getting easier in their second half. However, if Lunatic's hard chapters are harder than RD/FE6's Hard chapters, it's easy chapters are much easier than RD/FE6's easy chapters, and even with the ability to skip enemy phase, still manage to be tedious. This is nice in some ways, but on repeat playthroughs It's also a LONG wait to get to the meaty part of the game compared to firing up HHM. And it doesn't bear comparison to new mystery or conquest and having a hard early game AND late game. So in the end I have to say that Birthright Lunatic- is a weaker product to any other post 10 FE.
