Junkhead
You know, like, zero blemishes and imperfection of sorts. None. I don't think I've seen anyone that has it be legitimately ugly, even if their face shape as a whole isn't stellar. Like, you see all these adorable Asian idols and the like with amazing wtf skin, but they also have like really nice features overall. I think it makes a hell of a difference, people just don't know it.

Noma9
Healthy, clean skin makes a huge difference. Still, everyone has different skin types and different skin problems. Like, I have combination dry/oily skin but otherwise don't get a lot of pimples/blackheads because I take care of it. I do have huge pores though, so I can get make up and dirt trapped in there easily no matter what -- that's just my skin type. Asian skin could just be different in general. But as far as idols go, it probably has to do with a very extensive skin care routine and expensive make up. When your face is basically your brand, you tend to go above and beyond to keep it looking good.
Kinumi
very important, at least to me ? i don't really have particularly attractive facial features so i kinda have to make up for it with clear skin  also most korean idol photos are photoshopped, and there aren't really videos of them close-up enough to see their flaws, so bb cream is enough to cover it up i think. of course there are idols who naturally have really nice skin anyway (fuck them) but it's probably difficult to retain when they wear heavy layers of makeup on a daily basis, even with extensive skincare
Freohr Datia
I mean, this is one of those cases where the importance varies per person \o/ It's aaaaaaaaaaaaall opinion and yes the korean idols wear make-up and they all have professional make-up artists who do their make-up for them (although idk if there are some idols who decide to always prepare their own make-up or not) because once you see them bare-faced you'll see they have some imperfections on their skin as well like any normal human being and frankly probably the reason their faces are all so perfect is that cosmetic surgery is super common for idols \o/ Though some of them just have their "perfection" naturally and I'm sure there are other various causes involved with their skin/facial structure or overall body appearance as well Edited June 10, 2017 by Freohr Datia

SatsumaFSoysoy
I actually have psoriasis, but it's only cropped up once on a toe I stubbed like two or three years before it started showing the symptoms.
MediocreLee
Healthy skin is different from perfect skin.  Quite honestly, if someone has a perfect and shiny face, I get a little intimidated because they look so perfect.  However, if someone's face has a few blemishes or whatever here and there, I think it's better because it's more humane in my opinion. Plus, the Asian idols such as in KPop or JPop all wear makeup because it makes them more presentable.  Also, plastic surgery...there's always that as well. badatfireemblem
Personally, I should think 'perfect' skin doesn't matter. Clean, healthy skin is a whole other matter. I have particularly dry skin so I have to make sure that it's clean and moisturised for it to stay healthy. Occasional breakouts can be caused from anything from stress levels (like an exam or something) to air pollution. So I don't think it should matter too much, as otherwise surely we'd all end up looking the same. As far as kpop idols go I'm sure they have specialist makeup and skin experts; photoshoped faces in videos and photos; and stage lights can do wonders for masking skin problems. Junkhead
I hate it when people say nice-looking skin is an indication of health. I know plenty of people who are healthy and sporty as fuck who have pretty shitty-looking skin. Also, what the hell's the difference in "healthy-looking" to "aesthetic-looking".
