It's too bad the best farming nodes are locked behind doing enough of the 2nd best that you'd clear the shop by the time the best nodes unlock...

On the other hand, I need the drops from the not-as-good nodes anyway, so I only would've farmed the best nodes once regardless, so I guess it didn't really matter. (In retrospect I should've swapped to running the doujin point CEs earlier rather than going ham with 6 drop CEs the whole time.)

 

I guessed correctly (or I vaguely remembered from last year) that the CQ was a bunch of random servants in a row, so my random AoE frontliner + 3 supports setup did decently well. In retrospect, though, it would've been better if I ran Jeanne Archer as the AoE Servant, backed by Waver and Nero Bride, rather than Bradamante and Skadi's.* I didn't bother resetting during the CQ, so unfortunate targeting by Summer Nobu ended up using up Bradamante's guts, and the fact she was using Black Grail meant that she ended up dying really quickly despite the fact that her NP is an AoE stun. (Not that the stun is reliable, since stunning during Nobu's transformation turn also would've saved her.)

Waver, Nero Bride, and Summer Artoria cleaned up the rest without much issues, though, since Bradamante did kill like 5 or 6 servants before going down.

 

*I'm pretty sure I made a similar observation last year, except last year I didn't have Summer Jeanne.

Since the MHXX rate-up is active, I started rolling in hopes of getting MHXX and NP2 Summer BB.
-- Tickets gave me a surprise Circe, but nothing else of note.
-- Decided to do three 11 rolls, managed to get MHXX.
-- Went for another roll, and then another (+1 MHXX, for NP2)
-- Then decided to go all the way stating "BB is at the end of this road." Got a surprise Tomoe and a third MHXX.
-- On my final 11 roll, on the last slot, was Summer BB for NP2.
-- The cost? 23 Tickets and about 370 worth of Quartz. rip Skadi stash

In other news, I got a copy of Prisma Cosmos and my first ever copy of Limited/Zero Over. While I've been playing since the first Halloween event (with a year and a half break), it's nice to finally get the 5-star Buster CE.
-- An observation I had was getting CEs that were not event-related was slim, so unless one wants the Event CEs, it's better to roll elsewhere for the standard CEs.

Still have to go the point grind though. I should get back to doing that at some point...

Farming with a 100% damage boost Beserker is very pleasant---looking forward to when the shop is done, which will let me replace a drop CE with Kaleidoscope. I'm already running Detective Fou and Bella Lisa (never bothered getting Mona Lisa since I never had huge QP issues until recently) since it looks like clearing the shop won't be an issue.

Too bad I need to farm seashells and IRRC melt's casino doesn't open until next week.

 

Can't wait for Gilfest, hopefully it'll get me out of QP hell and finally get everyone max leveled---assuming material hell doesn't prevent ascensions.

Edit: Actually, I think I'll go ahead and grab Mona Lisa now, Gilfest incoming means that I should be able to load up on a ton of mana prisms.

I’m kinda worried about the new Paid Quartz thing. If they add pity with paid Quartz it would be terrible.

So now we can get servants  up to level 120 and it's going to need 10 grails, a bunch of new gimmicky currency that will probably take as long as Gold Fous to get and a disgusting amount of EXP. I'm still going to get Eresh to that tier because she deserves to be at the top of the top. 

Oh yeah, it also seems the new currency unlocks some new passives and one is a flat 20% NP charge at the start of battle. That means a MLB Kscope is no longer needed to pull off some looping setups without being forced into using the MA uniform. Not bad at all.

With the 20% append skill Arash now has a basically 50% battery.

Anyway, it's nice that it moves 30% batteries to basically 50% batteries, and 20% batteries into 40%. (60% NP Gauge CEs are rare, but there are a few floating around like Knights of Marines and Walk in the Park.) MLB Kaleidoscope is 2k Atk at max level, though, so it's probably hard to justify getting the 20% append skill unless it's on someone who's going to be consistently using a 50% CE or 0% CE. You need a lore to level 10 it, apparently, so you can't just hand it out to everyone.

 

Seems like level 120 won't be feasible unless you eat rainbow apples during lottery events, considering the exp and QP costs. That said, the fact that level 120 exists means I'm probably going to stock up on grails now. Pity I can't exactly stock up on exp cards considering it's two years away. I guess I'll... stock up on apples and just kill myself grinding a lottery event in two years?

 

Koyanskaya is interesting, since -4 CD (using 2 copies) lets you use a 6cd NP Gauge skill twice in 3 turns, meaning you'd be able to get a total of 200% NP Gauge skill from skills assuming the 6CD skill gives 50% Gauge. Meaning you can use 3 NPs (1 Koyanskaya with Kaleidoscope, 2 from the main damage servant) in 3 turns.

A 30% skill would also work if you run MA uniform and the 20% append skill, and longer CD 50% skills can be brought in line using the Atlas uniform. And, of course, plugsuit can save you from needing the Kaleidoscope if you bring in Nitocris or the new Lancelot.

Not sure if I'm gonna take the plunge to 120, as it requires a lot of extra grails and far too many EXP Cards. At the moment I'll stick with my plan of getting my support list to 100, and then think about where to go from there. It seems far more valuable to have a balanced servant roster instead of going all in on one Servant.

As for the skill upgrades, the 20% starting battery is nice I suppose, as well as the extra Attack (it will benefit solo servants the most, or those who use Summer BB to setup Extra Brave chains). The third passive is underwhelming for the most part, I'll need to see what Servants I use regularly have anything useful there.

Koyanskaya looks good and since I've had the support of Tamamos since the start (Cat was my starter 4-star and Tamamo showed up twice for me. Didn't get her swimsuit version though), so she may be something I roll for in the future.

4* rate ups are a god damn lie...

My luck on Artoria's banner was pretty amazing, strictly speaking (three of her showed up). On the other hand, neither Melt nor Okita showed up, so yeah...

 

I might roll on Melt's solo banner later, but I might just wait until next year before I roll more on this banner, to be honest.

Ended up doing another 130 rolls or so on Artoria's banner. (Technically 150 or so after factoring in the 11th roll bonus?)

Edit: Did the CQ, took two attempts---which let me notice that the initial set of debuffs is actually random. First time I went in blind and got rolled by the debuff train, second time I brought Medea Lily and it turns out that she hard counters the CQ. (Low incoming damage + reliance on debuffs means that, worst comes to worst, she can probably solo the boss if she wanted to---it'll just take like 100 turns or something.)

Practically done with the event, all that's left is to burn the Fever tickets to get both Musashi and Da Vinci to 10/10/10. Hopefully. 

The 50M quest had me nervous but it was actually pretty easy, I used Eresh/Jeanne/Friend Merlin. There was one turn when Gorgon stunned Jeanne and I had to eat 2 NPs, but those dealt like 2k damage at best. I don't know if that's because Gorgon and Ruler Martha hit like wet noodles, or if I managed to stack a lot of Def up with Jeanne + Blessing of Kur. 

As for the CQ, it took 41 turns but the ever reliable BB/Jeanne/Friend Merlin is  a guaranteed win. I wanted to min turn it with Kama, but with all the debuffs flying around I don't think that's a good idea.

It's both.  In all of the Big Chance quests, enemy NP damage is severely reduced to make up for the random NP gain on attack that they get.  IIRC, Waver's second is enough by itself to survive NPs during these quests.

Huh... the latest update caused all the event bonus servants to lose their bonus, that's weird. I actually care more about losing the bond bonus than the damage bonus, but it doesn't matter much either.

Since event bonus is gone (for now?), I guess I'll make a Kaleidoscope NP spam team.

Man, this event was more grindy than I realized. I've been taking it easy day by day, although I did miss like 4 days (didn't start the event early and some missed days, but I did use some apples). Also, I've been using the Kaliedoscope guides by Lord Ashura, but they seem to be having less and less information as of late.
-- Was rushing through the story yesterday since I was still at Jeanne's casino. Now I just need to burn through all my Fever Tickets, finish the CQ, and finish the Big Chance quest to be completely done.

Story-wise, it had its moments, but it was slow in places (although this may be because of the grinding required to get to each part). Part II stories were great all around from what I've seen.

Gameplay wise, screw the ViP node for Camelot. While I did manage a 3-turn setup, it forced me to use the Plugsuit and a specific setup (MLB Imaginary Element Artoria, Kaliedoscope Salter, DMG Bonus BB, Support Waver).

Welp, I just noticed the Fever quests mostly reuses the same enemy patterns as regular quests, and I should be running the Bonus CEs for maximum QP instead of a farming setup. Then, Camelot VIP is the best place to farm...
-- I am not looking forward to manually grinding out that quest if/when the Fever hits...

NP2 Summer Musashi for 60 sq is quite the steal! It's funny how this one came so easily while I wasted a lot of quartz on her Saber version and got nothing to show for it.

Finally finished with everything...

Doing all the Fever Tickets in Camelot was a bit tedious, but the QP gains were worth it in the end.
-- The CQ went a bit smoother than expected, as I was thinking I had to use my Command Spells for a team revival. Luckily, Kama and Herc Insurance managed to handle it for me, with Herc managing to finish the match on the last turn possible.

Oh wow, Illya just random got a 50% NP battery. R.I.P. Sanzang's hopes of ever seeing use.

And Miyu no longer self-damages & gets a nice rolling Atk buff. Not sure when I'll use her, though. Stall heavy CQs usually also need debuff clear or some kind of teamwide defense buff, so Jeanne, Merlin, and Medea Lily tend to be brought over Miyu.

Finally box farming is here! I need to get a ton of Hero's Proof after Musashi ate like 200+ of them. So far things are looking nice because I got a CE drop on my first run of the silver currency run.

Lotto Boxes are great, although I only have like 100 Golden Apples compared to last time where I had like 300. I'm probably gonna try to focus on clearing the shop with natural AP first, and then go all out with farming and the CQs once the final set of quests come in.

I solo'd the Touta CQ with Kagetora. 10 turns. 

The Leonidas one was a shitshow because I tried to use Ridervinci, but she couldn't hit hard enough so I ended up overwhelmed and wasted all my CS. Second try I used the same team as last year and beat it again. Def Pierce is certainly a big deal for CQs where the boss has over 100% Def. 

I'm certain I can destroy Izo with Kama, but I'll wait until my CS replenish. Back to farming boxes for me.

Having 2 lottery events going on at the same time in two different gachas is... an experience. (Konosuba: FD had its global launch ~2 weeks ago & a lottery event right now. The game seems to have memory leak issues so it crashes every 30-40 maps I run, but aside from that it's pretty okay.) I should probably stop playing multiple gacha games at once, but I know I won't.

Good thing I have two laptops so I can play both at the same time with macros.

 

Hopefully I can get my work done at work so I can spend the weekend finishing the CQs I've been ignoring.

Izo died easily against Kama like expected. Buffing his damage to the stratosphere means little when he's practically perma charmed the entire battle. 

Taiga's battle is still a pain, but at least it took me less tries than last year. I had to borrow Arjuna Alter to nuke both Taiga and Jeanne (although Taiga refused to die and made me waste a turn to get rid of her evades...) quickly, then when Nobu was alone I kept chipping at her while my other servants kept falling like flies. Kama came at last and killed Nobu in like 3 NPs. It took 12 turns, which is quite fast for me. 

Edit: Sheba fell in 20 turns to Ridertoki/Waver/Skadi/Jeanne/Georgios. I had to play it like it was a raid battle by buffing Ridertoki with Waver and Skadi and sending him to the back for a second round of buffs. In the meantime those two and Jeanne took away Sheba's dmg reduction bit by bit. It was a lot better than last year, that's for sure.

Finally finished the rerun CQs. (Although I'm not sure if the Nero Bride one was a rerun.) The vast majority of them took multiple attempts, although I managed to avoid using any command seals.

Dislike the Sheba one the most, it was just too RNG (it wasn't the hardest, I think the MHXA one was, although that might be because I kept bringing the wrong team for that fight). If your main damage dealer gets the card type buff which debuffs their main card type and you don't draw it ASAP that servant is basically out of comission for 5 turns right there.

The Napoleon/Fionn/Bride CQ was interesting. I was being stubborn and tried to clear it with Caster Nero/Jeanne/Merlin, but that team doesn't work when the enemy can one shot you with cards. After giving up I decided to use Summer Musashi and she basically destroyed them all in like 4~5 turns (clear took 14 because the first few were me playing semi stallish to build Musashi's NP gauge). I can see what people mean when they say she's sort of a cheat code against CQs.
