I can handle the mages, as long as we can keep the other pests away... It was an ambush, but as long as they could keep the ship afloat, they wouldn't fall here. The invasion happened all too fast... they had already taken control of the deck, for all intents, they couldn't set a course, and who knew how many more pirates were left. "First, we must make sure the ship won't sink. Next we take control of it. Let's clean the lower deck!" Owen deploys at (9,9). Nelon gets the flash lance from Suleiman, and the steel sword from the convoy, deposits his iron sword. Accolon deposits his halberd, gets the BOARDING AXE and the 40 use Nacht, also he eats a turnip sometime during the cruise to stay healthy. The boat shakes, three more turns until something really bad happens! Chapter 11A - Turn 2 Spreadsheet The boat rocked violently, something was clearly not right below deck. The clouds swirled overhead, even the weather had turned against Owen's group, and the sea was knocking hard as it barraged the ship's hull. Swarms of pirates still surrounded them, Dankbeard seemed to have an almost endless supply of crewmen to throw at them - there were even more present than when they'd first boarded. "Surrender or ye be going down with the ship!" called out Dankbeard, his voice carrying across both ships. "Don't make Bucket Bob over here drown ye in the ol' blue!" Serge began to sweat, his nerves were starting to get the better of him. They had a plan right? He wasn't sure if Steve or Serge knew how to swim, but now wasn't really a good time to find out. "Prince Onio-... Owen... the boat feels unsteady. I think we might be sinking a little." he warned sheepishly, not wanting to sound too demanding to the young noble. That blue glow...I don't know what the hell I just did, but I really hope I can do it again! His excitement was short-lived, though, as he was struck by a mage and narrowly avoided another shot from a swordsman. Where did that come from? And then the boat shook. Eric managed to keep his footing a little better than last time. He hadn't moved this time...though perhaps that was due to the enemy on either side of him. Eric swung back at the combatant from earlier. Hopefully he was a little more fazed by the boat's quaking. Eric stays where he is and gives Swordfighter #3 a taste of his Killing Edge. riariadne Posted August 17, 2018 Share Posted August 17, 2018 Sidney nearly stumbled as the boat shuddered in the waters as the rain pour down from above, clinging to the rail as not to fall to the deck- or worse, the waters below. Her arrows had hit true and the pirate sage was dead and gone, but they were quickly being beset upon at all sides. If nothing else, those near the wheel didn't pursue them, seeming to prefer their high ground. "Not a chance!" she hollered back to the other captain, somewhat doubtful that her shouts would be heard over the storm overhead and the trouble below deck. "Look alive, everyone! We've gotta get footing and fix the ship or it doesn't mean a thing what they're boasting about. Then we can make our move outwards after- keep moving!" Brushing her drenched hair to the side, she set forth to take another shot at her best target. That guy, she narrowed it down, noting that some of the others had been cornered portside. Making a dash across the ship, she rushed past the stairs towards the swordsman, not feeling terribly remorseful about interrupting their duel. The enemies were swarming the ship and outnumbering them, but the group's skill was unparalleled, as they pushed back the enemies. He turned to the side to see water gushing out of the cracks of the ship. Quick to address the problem, Suleiman ran towards to spot, kit in hand, ready to fix it.
