Teapot
You can use the same topic as your previous one rather than making a new one every time. TBH, it'd probably be easier to keep track of your shit that way. All of these splices are pretty basic, though, which makes obvious errors all the more glaring. You have a lot of trouble with blending your spliced pieces together without overshading the hell out of the lines - or, alternatively, leaving them unshaded altogether. Melliel
I'm sure these would be pretty decent, if you put more effort into cleaning it up. I feel the dark pixels in Sprite 1's mustache stand out too much. Also, the back of the headband probably should be behind the armor. Sprite 2 needs more shading under the bangs. His left eye (the eye to the right) looks like it needs to be moved. Sprite 3 isn't bad. It looks like the face is a pixel or two too long, but that's just my opinion. Sprite 4 needs more detailed shading, specifically around the collar and the robes, under the hair. Additionally, I suggest attempting to make your own hair or armor. Otherwise, it may be obvious which characters your sprites' assets come from.
Melliel
I'd also like to suggest that you try to convey the character's personality in their portrait. I can see a bit of personality in Sprite 1, but it's difficult to tell with the rest. As an example and reference, I tried to convey a youthful and playful personality in my avatar. KKAfterbrun
To me, the fourth mug need a little more neck to it. The second Mug makes Gonzie's ugly mug look like a pretty face because of the in leveled eyes. Mug #3 is just meh. Just work at it a bit more and you should be alright. SmoochLips
A lot of new sprites: A: B: C: D: E: F: G: H: I: Some are obviously better than others but these are what I made since the original post using the critiques from the replies. KKAfterbrun
Only the first one looks alright, the rest seem gawky or off in some way. Both F and I might look better if you switch their armor with one another and try taking a moment to touch up the shading on A.
