Jeanne

Jeanne walked over, and picked up her lance. “Congratulations Elf. You dodged my attack. You won’t get so lucky next time. After all, I never let somebody so weak be attacked by others, even if the attackers are fellow worshipers of god.” She said, pointing to Matt’s unconscious body. She was just about to attack when a loud voice shouted, “DID SOMEONE JUST INSULT ME?”

Matt

It was Matt would had just woken up from his from his small nap that was caused by over excitement. Jeanne then replied with “Run! I will help you escape from these attackers! Go!” Matt was looking at Jeanne, with a confused face. “Attackers? These people saved me. Why would you think they were attacking me?” Jeanne’s face turned a bright pink, her face full of embarrassment. “O-o-oh. I thought you were being attacked. Sorry....” Matt then replied with, “It’s okay, Mrs....” “Jeanne d’Arc. But please, call me Jeanne.” Matt’s eyes widened. “J-j-j-j-j-jeanne d’Arc!?” He the fainted once again.

Jake

Jake sighed. “Come on, Matt. Time to get up. Link’s been trying to get us to march to the castle halls already.”

Inside Link gestured the crew to move into a vortex depicting a quaint town. There was no clue as to what’s at the other end.

Jake examined his behavior. “Looks like he wants you all to jump in. As for me, I don’t want to leave Anna’s store unattended when she’s currently missing. It’s been a really turbulent time, but it’s time we all learn of independence.”

The native archer sighed. “I’d say we go immediately, but as we stop to think of the consequences, we’ve met many strange people here. I know your world is about to go down in dark times, but plenty of our units has been through wars, some worse than others, and ones that had been isolated for years, maybe even centuries without foreign contact. Sometime all that matters is the possibilities. Maybe these places many speak of are much different. There’s only one way to find out.”

Link seems to be ready to jump in. Preparation seemed to be key to a new world. Jake then asked if everybody else except him was ready to trek.

Lim

"...Pah, what a hassle." In spite of the raised chorus of agreement, Lim is the least enthusiastic. He goes on to elaborate his complain, "First, we have this good-for-nothing fainting on spot, then that girl comes in trying to attack Link, now there's this religious man praising her like some kind of savior, when all she did was causing unwanted harm were he didn't raise his shield. Sounds like we're carrying more trouble than it's worth, and it's just natural because in the end we're gonna die."

He turns to direct himself toward the destination, soon to be visited by himself and the others. On hindsight, everything that has been said sounded too petty -- the whole conversation, the guessing game, the exaggerated act put up to express oneself's enjoyment, and the least of all, mistrust. It's all exasperating, and he could go on to describe every of it that he dislikes the most, but it might not be of good conscience to let that thought out of him, yet. Negativity is his own enemy for years, but it hasn't lifted away from his way of life.

"...Forget what I said earlier." Reverting back to his less serious nature, he raises his voice, "Count me in, where do we go?"

Vanessa

It didn't take a while for her to return back from her little investigative flight, for her to have landed effortlessly on the grassy plains next to the group. Nothing changed in her appearance, her usual level-headed tone remained the same, but the content of her report gives more than a sudden sense of urgency.

"I've checked around the neighboring areas. I can conclude, that they're coming in larger numbers than previous, and they'll reach us within a moment's worth... We must make haste."

Liao

Looks like more enemies are heading at their location... Liao knew he shouldn't keep hiding while the others are risking their lives on the battlefield, so he wanted to participate in the fight with them instead. He was certain he wasn't sent here just to die an awkward and unremarkable death. "I'm not sure if I can be of any assistance... but I'd like to help you people. Though I'm not sure if this paddle is enough for me to defend myself, let alone defeat an enemy." He throws away the paddle to the side, perhaps signalling the group to give him an usable weapon. "Can't just stand around here while more hostile beings are heading towards us." He says while cracking his knuckles, neck and back.

William

William nodded his head, in response to Jake. He was ready. Having been out for so long, he was ready to jump back into the action. "You can count on my lance, from here on."

Brady

Brady's response was more answered with a little smile. "Consider my staff, yers. Ya never know, when a healer'll come in handy."

Dolce

Finally, it came to Dolce. The gothic lolita style dress wearing female. She wasn't interested in tagging along, as much as she was, looking for Pico. "I'll come with, but... As soon as I find Pico, I'm finding my way back."

After Matt's repeated faintings, it finally hit Malcom how all of these people seemed familiar: they were all from games he played/shows he watched (well, except for the Jeanne girl). However, he managed to keep himself from fainting, and prepared himself for the upcoming battle. "I'll do the best I can here." He said.

"I'll assist you too." Weiss added.

"I'll come too!" Henry shouted. "After all, you can never have too many spellcasters. Though making your army up entirely of them may not be the best idea."

Jake

Jake smiled warmly as the army he had watched up until this point start to melt through the gate. Link was the last one to jump in.

“Maybe they’ll return to Levfia someday...”

Chapter 3: Severed Links

Unknown Hyrule, Kakariko Village

The orange sky opens up on a quaint town with a bustling population. A warp opens up and non-elven heroes come bursting out of its seams. Link when he came out last noticed a trio of pots set in a line, as if someone would showcase flowers in them or put them up for sale. Just as his boomerang came out of his deep pockets, a cyan burst of dust appears and a sorceress came crashing through, breaking all three pots along the way. Small gems scattered around the area.

It was Lana from another world. The aqua ponytail of hers shot upwards as she crashed into a wall. “Whew, talk about a rough landing. Where am I—”

Link walked up to her. “Hey, you’re a different Link. So what brings you here exactly?”

The green hero points behind him with his thumb. It’s the army that came from Levfia.

Lana perked up. “Well, first timers or not, the best thing you can do here is show them around. Make sure no one wanders off.”

The green hero of courage simply nodded in response.

A shop and armory are available in the village.
The Rupees from Lana’s impact were instantly converted into 1500 Gold.

Matt

”Wow. I’m actually in Kakariko village. If I remember correctly, I can find a good shop to get me some arrows and a bow. Wait....”

Matt walked over to Jake, twiddling his pointer fingers. “I’d assume you’re the leader of this group. Can I ask of something? Could you shell out some gold so I can buy a weapon to fend for my self? Particularly, a bow.”

Jeanne

Should I say it? No, I’ll let that archer man say it. Jeanne then piped up. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to wander off, to see if I can recruit people for our army. I am known for being a great inspirer. But I don’t think I have caught you name, Mr.....”

Liao

Exploring the place is something that piqued his curiosity. Perhaps getting a weapon should be on top of his priority however. Good thing there is someone who happens to know the place...

"I'll go with this guy." Liao says while approaching Jake and pointing at Matt. "I also need to pick up some essentials for the journey. I won't spend a lot of money, so you can rest assured."

Link listened to the first three members of Jake’s former army’s requests. Lana was asked to listen to what Jeanne said and shook her head. “I’m afraid not, miss. Numerous hordes of monsters have surrounded the outskirts of this village. I’d rather we go out as a team rather than you adventuring by yourself.”

Around this time, Link took a quick stop at both stores and picked up a Bronze Bow and a Bronze Lance for both Matt and Liao. Apparently they were in stock despite how different it looked from the tunicked elf’s norm. He bequeathed the two weapons to the real world duo; starting to get a lick of the journey.

A purple-haired girl walked on a trail. She just fended off the third Moblin in the row and she’s about to give up the search for a missing woman. This was Reese, more commonly known as Katarina, in servitude with an Archanean hero in order for the kingdom to enforce her redemption. His sister has unknowingly disappeared, and the morning after she disappeared, the Hero King went into her former room to see nothing in the canopy bed. Thus he had Katarina to take an important errand. Now she thinks it was more of an ordeal.

Her next stop: a village in the middle of nowhere. But the place isn’t what it seems for her.

Katarina is free to post.

Jeanne

”Ah. I could handle a monster, maybe even a few of them, but I could never handle a horde of them. I will roam about the town then. See if could recruit some people for our war effort.”

Matt

Matt has griped the bow, and it felt really natural to wield it. “Thanks Link. This’ll help me shoot the baddies right in the face.” He then decided to look at himself, just in case he didn’t miss anything. He was wearing his brown puffy jacket, with blue jeans, with one of the pockets filled with a water bottle that he had for practice. He then turned to “Jeanne, if you don’t mind, I’d like to roam with you. I could find us a shop to stock up on healing items that could help us in a pinch. And I don’t mind Liao coming with us. The more the merrier as they always say.”

Katarina

“A town. Maybe I could find some leads on my mission. I will complete it, for my redeemption!” She said this, a look of determination on her face. She then walked into to the town, taking in all of the sites. “I wonder if there is a shop here. It could help me to stock up on healing items.”

Liao

"Hmmm... Alright. I need to test something first..." Liao holds the newly-acquired Bronze Lance and observes it. " Slightly thinner but longer than a bo staff that I usually wield... Let me try something." He moves to a more open space and starts spinning it in front of him, doing a circular spin then a figure 8 spin. Next, he swings and thrusts the lance at the air, doing some fairly acrobatic moves such as smashing the lance at the ground, which causes it to bounce back and enables him to jump, pick up the lance on the air and thrust it forward. Years of self-teaching and practicing bojutsu for self-defense did pay off. A look of intrigue and confidence appears on his face, as he stopped swinging the weapon around. "I'm kinda interested to see how I can fare in the battles. I hope there will be a blacksmith that makes custom weapons, because I've always wanted to wield something. Maybe later in the journey... if we gain more money, if I get better at fighting... and if I'm not dead at that point."

Lana noticed a moving head of violet hair and has her come over to talk to her. “...sorry about that, I haven’t had the chance to meet new people since the Triforce vanished. You can ask me on that later. Anyways, who are you?”

Maybe he could go dungeon hunting again…

Kujura is free to post.

Lim

"...Whoa." For somebody who has seen less greenery than the world he used to live in, Lim can't help himself but letting out a whistle of amazement. Minutes ago, things like wide plains and seawater started to get on his nerves. While this is basically the same in a way, it's more serene and cooler, in a way that he had forgotten what it means to deliver a Happy Meal for a starving family.

"Gee, I think I'll stay here for a bit." Lim says as he rests his back upon the grassy slopes, "All that running makes me a little tired, and hungry. I could favor for some food to come soon, but I'm just not in the mood, not yet."

Vanessa

The Pegasus Knight is nowhere to be found. Not in where the group would've been if they start out slow, and without her mount accompanying her, she must've taken quite a trip, if only it was that far for her to reach the village.

Somewhere, Vanessa makes her visit to a shop favored by locals, holding the currency she was told to bring if she wants to buy something that could prove to be useful. Discounting provisions to keep everyone in shape, there's one particular thing that she needed to reveal things that she couldn't see, yet the very chest containing them mocked her to the very time she sets her foot inside, moving toward the counter and vendor.

Kujura

"...Unbelievable. What could this possibly mean?" The blade he holds eventually reunites back with its sheath -- a long and slender one, pointing downwards, but never meets the ground. Every steps he took rings a metallic noise that clashes with the stomped grasses, it's been a long way from where he ended up, out of the blue, unknowing of the reason why he is now standing at the sight of an unfamiliar civilization. The Shogun finds himself missing from the city of seas, better known as Armoroad, and though calm as ever, tries to discern the new zone that appears before him.

However, something has caught his utmost attention. Among the townspeople whose pointed-ears are comparable to a race found in a certain land, there's a rendezvous of what he might describe as humans armed with weapons. Are they the city guards? The thought comes up, but doesn't seem likely, particularly with the way they are dressed differently one after another. Mercenaries? Adventurers? The answer remains unclear unless he finds it out by himself, but something else made him take a step to the back.

"...Hmm?" His wariness almost never lets him down in many occasions, even outside from exploring the Labyrinth. Death is a punishment for carelessness, and many explorers he met during his duty got to experience how hellish it can be due to a simple but critical mistake. But for now, it isn't the atmosphere like what he's used to. It appears that he stumbled upon something, which he picks up curiously to inspect it. The color is red, almost gem-like in texture and shaped like a long hexagon. There doesn't seem to be anything weirder than how it was there, but there's no reason to loosen up, at least in a place where he knows little of its history. He had to make his move and learn what's his next move.

First things first, is to gather intel from the people around the place. That simply means he either have to interact, or listen, in hopes that they at least know human speech that he goes to visit the loudest area possible. A pub might be the most fitting choice, but he has some time to figure out where it could possibly be, squirming around as his piercing eyes leer side by side constantly.

Vanessa entered to shop nearby to find a hooded woman, perceived to hold rounded ears unlike the more common humanoid race. The pegasus outside gave her a smidge of a hint as to how important she would get.

“What brings you here, miss? You’re one of those peculiar sorts; would any of these wares interest you?”

Katarina

”Me, you want to talk to me?” Katarina looked a the blue haired girl. “Sure. I’m Katarina, a mage. I came here on an escort mission for a friend of mine. I’m making a stop here for supplies, but I couldn’t find a shop and got lost.” She said this, whilst looking rather embarrassed.

Matt

”Why not come with us?” Matt said, intervening in the conversation. “Me and two others were going to look for a shop, so you could tag along with us if you like.” But what do you think, Jeanne & Liao?” Matt had realized about Katarina once her name was said, but was able to contain his excitement, since he had learned to expect this.

Jeanne

”I wouldn’t mind one more person. The more the merrier, as they always say. What about you, Liao?”

Raven

"Excuse me a second, I think I should probably add to my arms if I can. This sword won't last forever." Raven went to check the armory.

Gimli

"Once you are done, my flame haired friend, I too would like to take a peak, possibly for a throwing axe of some sort." Gimli followed close behind Raven, waiting patiently to get in the armory once he left.

Simón

Simón silently waited outside the shop Vanessa had gone to in order to pick up a stronger staff than his cooking utensil. He observed that the people here all seemed reverent to him, even though they knew nothing about him. Perhaps his white garb made him look rich? Or was it because he coincidentally looked somewhat similar to their clergy? Or, was it simply his age that carried respect? It didn't matter, and he didn't much care to know.

Liao

Liao gave a very pensive look, but he wasn't thinking of anything deep in particular. He was trying to hold and contain his emotions, seeing one of his most favourite characters in the game where she came from. What pushed him to like her as a character? Perhaps it was a feeling of sympathy and pity mixed together, towards her backstory and her personality. Good thing he is great at hiding his feelings, something he has done repeatedly without any problem since the beginning of his existence. He looked at her, head to toe then toe to head again, trying to process the fact that she is standing right before him. Finally, he gives a brief conclusion. "Numbers are important, but we shouldn't neglect the quality as well. Good thing Katarina answers to these demands. So... I'm for her to join us. Welcome, I guess?" He answers Matt and Jeanne, while giving his hand to Katarina, implying a handshake.

”Why thank you mister Liao. Nice to meet you to.” She says, accepting the handshake. “Now then, shall we go?”

Matt

”Of course. I bet I can find us a good time place to shop for supplies. Maybe even an armory. Let’s go.” Matt then ran off, within view of the rest of them.”

Jeanne

Katarina was about to reach out to Liao, as if to siginify walking together, till Jeanne clamped both of there hands really hard. “Time to go! We don’t want that kid to outpace us!” Jeanne then ran, dragging both of them behind her.

Vanessa

Aside from the general things they sell around these parts, unfortunately, she didn't find what she's looking for anywhere in the shop -- keys that makes short work of most locking mechanisms used and found almost everywhere, at least it was confirmed in Magvel. It makes her wonder, who could've manufactured them to be compatible with almost everything?

"I'll...take this...thing." It might be disrespectful to some if they just come and go, her hand gesturing at a bottle with the cheapest price tag. She has never seen things like these before, though looking closely, they appear to be a medicine of some sort, coming in two contrasting colors. Next, she just needs to hand over a sum, hoping that it gets pawned in a fair quantity of such foreign currency, abundantly found through literal vandalism. She makes her leave afterwards, deciding that she might be needing one other thing within the armory, for herself.

Bought 1× Defense Tonic.

Simon slowly walked into the shop after Vanessa left with her goods, expecting the same hospitality that the hero from Magvel had received.

The shopkeeper opened up with a statement. “You’re… not around these parts, are you? Choose wisely, young man. A weapon makes or breaks a hero.”
