Lyn, Brave Lady

This is BB!Cordelia 2.0, but on a horse, with a better exclusive B skill, and free!

BH!Lyn's default build lets her neuter Blade cavalry with Mulagir. With Deflect Magic, neutral BH!Lyn with no merges can even take down a fully pimped out Reinhardt. While her default build is impressive, many players chose to turn her into a nuke to dominate the battlefield with a Brave Bow build.

Unlike Blade mages, Brave Bow archers can operate more independently from their teammates. Additionally, being colorless means that Brave Bow archers are equally effective against all types units and are not hindered by the Weapon Triangle. BH!Lyn, when unbuffed, operates at a similar performance level to Blade mages with Attack and Speed buffs. With just Hone Cavalry, BH!Lyn turns into a nightmare for non-dragon melee units and squishy mages.

While Brave Bow archers are a little more versatile than Blade mages in terms of coverage, they have problems dealing with certain units that Blade mages can easily deal with. While BH!Lyn can shut down even the bulkiest melee unit, she has trouble with Raven mages and dragons; some mages that usually run Blade builds may occasionally run Raven builds, as the sole purpose of those builds is to make Brave Bow archers disappear under unsuspecting players' fingers. Like all other Player Phase nukes, the greatest threat comes from ranged cavalry who can cover large distances quickly and take advantage of Player Phase nukes' weak Enemy Phase performance.

BH!Lyn can run Firesweep Bow and Cancel Affinity to shut down Raven mages. In exchange for raw power and requiring Dancer/Singer support to take down bulky units, BH!Lyn becomes more of a generalist who can cripple the vast majority of units without fear of counter attacks. However, BH!Lyn is still vulnerable to ranged cavalry if they initiate on her.

Level 40 stats:

HP: 32/35/39
Atk: 30/33/36
Spd: 32/35/38
Def: 14/18/21
Res: 24/28/31

Total: 148~150

Default skills:

Weapon: Mulagir
Assist: [none]
Special: Draconic Aura
Passive A: Swift Sparrow
Passive B: Sacae's Blessing
Passive C: Atk Smoke

Mulagir:
Arena offense

Spoiler

Nature: [+Atk/Res, -Def]

Mulagir
Reposition
Moonbow / Glimmer
Distant Defense 3 / Warding Stance 3 / Swift Sparrow 2 / Fury 3 / Atk/Res Bond 3
Quick Riposte 3 / Sacae's Blessing
Hone Cavalry / Fortify Cavalry / Atk Smoke 3 / [flexible passive C]
Attack +3 / Resistance +3 / Deflect Magic 3

While BH!Lyn does not need to change her default skill set to handle Blade cavalry, optimizing it allows her to specialize towards that role and do it better.

Fury 3: This options strikes a balance between Player Phase and Enemy Phase, but Fury damage will quickly wear her down.

Quick Riposte 3: This allows her double and finish off other Blade cavalry units.

Sacae's Blessing: She shuts down melee units with this skill. While she cannot take down bulky melee units with Mulagir in one round, she can take her time since melee units cannot counter attack.

Brave Bow:
Arena offense

Spoiler

Nature: [+Atk/Spd, -HP/Def/Res]

Brave Bow+
Reposition
Luna / Moonbow
Swift Sparrow 2 / Life and Death 3
Sacae's Blessing 3
Hone Cavalry / Fortify Cavalry / [flexible passive C] / Savage Blow 3
Attack +3 / Speed +3 / Quickened Pulse / Savage Blow 3

This is her most common skill set, letting her nuke the vast majority of the cast. Unless an enemy is specifically designed to counter archers, few enemies would survive.

Moonbow-Quickened Pulse: This combination is used to take out bulkier units that might have survived her regular attacks and kill her on the counter. Luna is generally better as she has teammates who can take care of physically bulkier units.

Life and Death 3: This skill is better than Swift Sparrow on a nuke, but Swift Sparrow preserves BH!Lyn's bulk, so just in case you need BH!Lyn to tank something in an emergency, she would be less likely to die doing it.

Sacae's Blessing: She shuts down melee units with this skill. Units like Hector and Ike that BB!Cordelia hesitates to take on are instantly history.

Savage Blow 3: This can used during Tempest Trials as units are mostly running their vanilla sets with random skills as filler, so Vantage is not a huge threat. With two Savage Blows equipped, she can quickly take down groups of enemy units.

Firesweep Bow:
Arena offense, Arena defense

Spoiler

Nature: [+Atk/Spd, -HP/Def/Res]

Firesweep Bow+
Reposition
Luna / Moonbow
Life and Death 3
Chill Spd 3 / Chill Def 3 / Cancel Affinity 3 / Poison Strike 3 / [flexible passive C]
Hone Cavalry / [flexible passive C] / Savage Blow 3 / Atk Smoke 3 / Spd Smoke 3
Attack +3 / Speed +3 / Quickened Pulse / Savage Blow 3 / Atk Smoke 3 / Poison Strike 3 / [flexible Sacred Seal]

Firesweep Bow allows her to attack with impunity. As long as she stays out of enemy range, she is practically invincible.

Moonbow-Quickened Pulse: This combination is used to allow her to kill more units in her first round of combat.

Poison Strike 3 / Savage Blow 3: She can abuse HP reduction skills without fear of Vantage attacks. This allows her and her teammates to take down bulkier units faster.

Small nitpick:

Moonbow: This Special can activate during every round of combat if the enemy initiates.

This only applies if she can double her enemy on the counterattack though and that is not always guaranteed if she keeps her default Swift Sparrow.

*insert obligatory Glimmer reminder here*
Unless I did something wrong, KageroChart spits out 154/0/36 for Glimmer compared to Moonbow's 149/2/39 (neutral Lyn with default kit and no buffs). The losses come from Raigh and Setsuna, the latter being kinda important. While Setsuna probably won't have Bowbreaker on her, it implies that Lyn may kill opponents through Bowbreaker if they are squishy enough, allowing her to get some additionals win. Of course that doesn't mean she can suddenly handle TA-Raven builds but that it is interesting to note.

Totally did not see this until now. Yeah, I just check the calculator and Glimmer is practically the same as Moonbow against enemies with +Spd, merge +5, and Fury overwrite. I will put it down.

-casually suggests WoM and Chill Def/Spd for the Firesweep set-

I don't think Poison Strike does her all that many favors, tbh. -3- Might be personal preference, but... yeah.

Good idea. I will put those down as well.

Poison Strike is there to quickly reduce the HP of units to disable Wary Fighter and Bowbreaker, so BH!Lyn can immediately finish off the bulky target with Dancer/Singer support.
