A spam message from. . .

You know all those stories about people claiming to be Somali or Ethiopian princes sending emails offering to wire millions of dollars to your bank account? Well, I recently got a somewhat similar message from (some Japanese server) (with (some gmail address) as the reply-to address). Although the sender claims to be a mere "TRANSFER INSPECTION OFFICER," he gave off the aura of an Ethiopian prince. Anyway, without further ado,

I am Mr. Jeff Anderson, TRANSFER INSPECTION OFFICER, foreign operations Department Bank of America, the British Government in Conjunction with us government, World Bank, united Nations Organization on foreign Payment matters has empowered my bank after much consultation and consideration to handle all foreign payments and release them to their appropriate beneficiaries with the help of a Representative from Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

What exactly is this aura of an "Ethiopian prince" that you speak of? You realize that neither Somalia nor Ethiopia have royalty.... right?

While the name is most likely fake, there's no telling if the e-mail address is.  Perhaps some poor soul had his e-mail hacked.  Hence why I removed them.
