I just noticed that Annette in particular seems to be not that well liked in the community, while she is my personal favorite character in Three Houses, personality-wise. Then my thoughts wandered and I noticed that this is a common pattern with me and the majority of the FE community in particular: the community likes something? I dislike it (Azura, Takumi, Innes, FE6, Conquest's map design). I like something? The community dislikes it (Celica, Annette, Nowi, Awakening's storyline). It just had me wondering why that is. As an anecdotal example: I played Awakening, loved the story, liked Nowi's character. I go online: nearly EVERYBODY hates both of these things. I played Conquest, HATED the map design (particularly later on; I'll take swamps and deserts over Ninja and Kitsune Hell any day of the week). I go online: nearly EVERYBODY loves it.
