Class: Mamluke (Lance and bow wielding camel rider)

His darker hue and clothes/armour are covered up by a beige robe that looks like it was thrown on to cover him, its only detail being a symbol of three crescents aligned with one another. His eyes are a shade of emerald, but one has scar tissue around it and seems to move slower while scanning the horizon. Aside from this he looks to be physically fit, at least as one would expect for a combatant on a mount. When he is relaxed enough to take off his hood, it is clear to see his black hair is combed and well kept. The clothes he wears outside of battle are also loose-fitting and are light brown hues.

Malik relies on high luck to hit and dodge, given his somewhat poor speed and skill. He compensates with exceptional attack and decent durability. His high starting Bow Rank allows him to take out the powerful Wyvern Lords which threaten your army with Silver and Steel Bows.

He was born to the Sandwalkers, a tribe centuries ago banished to the desert for their role in creating the evil cult. His specific village held the responsibility of guarding one of the thirds of the Fire Emblem (we've only chosen one of those, right? Or is this too much continuity?), and so the evil cult massacred it. Malik was one of the few survivors, and while most fled to other villages, he took up the responsibility of making sure the evil cult never got their hands on the Scorpion Crest.

Supports:

Malik's supports focus mostly on his duty and his guilt over surviving. He bonds with Panthea over feeling inadequate for surviving something, he vows to keep an eye on the dark magic users of the army, and he has no romantic paired endings.

Skills:

His Personal is called Sandwalker's Duty, and it grants him a hefty mixed bonus (+4 damage dealt and -4 damage received) when fighting against an enemy who has Dark Magic equipped, which makes him a great filler unit on anti-cultist chapters, even if he gets screwed over by stats.
His other skills are Warding Blow, Bowfaire, Pass, and Trained Hooves (which lets him ignore penalties to Movement because of factors like sand, trees, or rain/snow).

He has some unique conversations against enemy dark mage bosses, including one personal vendetta with a specific one, Shariq. He even gets a post-battle dialogue for killing Shariq.

Myrmidon.

Mundo always looks like he's just up, never being able to tidy up his mousy brown hair and always has a look of tiredness and lethargy in his blue. He's dressed in simple brown clothes, being uninterested in impressing anyone.

Mundo's stats are, for the most part, fairly normal Myrmidon fair. He has good Speed, Skill, and Luck, his Magic is trash, his Strength is okay-ish, and his Defense is below average. However, he has a strangely high Resistance, and very good HP.

Mundo is a wandering sellsword who happens to have somewhat of a strong sense of justice. He lives out of a cloth bag he carries with him, and as such, his hygiene is... less than stellar. He's a bit of a mystery. He's recruited from the enemy side by an old ex-employer of his, who out-bids his current bosses, making him join the ally side.

Personal Skill: Wild Looking, Mundo receives additional avoid in outdoor terrain

Supports:

  • Carlton: Mundo's old boss, who is still offended by his odor. They talk about old times and moral obligations.
  • Eric: The panther-legged thief feels comfortable around the unkempt Mundo and enlists him to sharpen his swordmanship, but the two get into arguments about stealing in the middle of their sparring matches
  • Ariel: Tries to resist yelling at Mundo for being gross, does not succeed. Once she stops humoring him, Mundo actually takes a bath. Potential marriage ending.
  • Medusa: They are both ugly on the outside, but Medusa is also ugly on the inside, so like...they argue with each other, I guess.
  • Gerard: Mundo doesn't really buy the whole Robin Hood thing, so he and Gerard get in an argument about that

Hey @Corrobin this would probably take a while, but would you consider having a list of all the submissions in the opening post?

Gorgon

Is, you know...a gorgon. Her scales come in the black and pale bands characteristic of certain sea snakes. Somewhat understandably does not wear pants, so somewhat long dresses are quite useful instead.

Gabriela's growths are a bit of a hodgepodge, being she has good HP, defence and magic, mediocre resistance and luck and low speed and skill. She's pretty able to take a hit and heal, but not much else, which has an impact on her over the years.

She was adopted by the head of the temple of water, perceived as a child blessed by the gods despite her form. She was continually insulted by others due to her appearance and this led to her keeping to the temple as she grew. She comes to join the main lord's party because of their defending the water temple and the lord declaring they would deal with the people who attacked the temple, which she decided she had to help them with in return.

Bump.

Doggone it you better update the OP.

Personal Skill: Sea Serpent, Gabriela can go through water with impressive ease and overall is less hampered by most terrain.

Supports:

  • Dionysus: Look, if you have a female character, Dionysus is going to try and flirt with them. Being the resident keeper of ancient knowledge, Dionysus has some insight into the Gorgon race which is now mostly extinct. Gabriela incessantly inquires as to the ancient Gorgons and how this fate might have befallen her.
  • Caliban: Gabriela is deeply disturbed, yet equally fascinated that the evil cult removed Caliban's ability to transform. Having been so long abused for it, she consider wistfully if she might have her form altered in like kind. Caliban find this very odd, if not a bit offensive, because he suffered greatly in that process. Caliban also expresses envy that someone would look at Gabriela's form as a blessing. Through their conversation, she is reminded to be grateful for who she is and what good she has experienced, instead of focusing on the bad.
  • Tara: Of course the Priestess of Flame must speak with the Priestess of Water! Though in service to different temples, they are technically part of the same religion, and discuss how the Liturgy of Flame and the Liturgy of Water differ. Tara must suppress her own anti-not-normal-human biases and has difficulty accepting that Gabriela is truly blessed to be a Gorgon, which Gabriela also has. However, the two change from this. Tara recalls her zealous service to the church, and remembering this and Gabriela's own service, the two decide that what is divinely decreed is true, whether they like it or not. If they believe that the heavenly things declared Gabriela blessed, then she is blessed.
  • Acerola: Acerola does not like snakes. At all. She loves animals, but snakes bite other animals. She is terrified of Gabriela, which heaps coals of self consciousness upon the poor girl. Each has their standard shyness magnified by this, but they overcome this introversion, becoming comfortable with each other and eventually friends. Acerola has an eccentric hobby of some sort which comes up, I'm sure. Over the course of the support, their mutual timidity becomes something to bond over.

So, maybe the ending of this game will mark the return of dryads and gorgons and stuff. That would impact her ending, probably.

Class: General

Appearance: Like a marble statue given life, Mathias is both stoic and imposing at the same time as he is welcoming and warm. Somewhere in his forties, pale, with thin brown hair, a mustache, a short beard, and wild sideburns. He is covered from head to toe in blue-colored plate and bears a great shield with a noble crest on its front.

Mathias has bases that are one or two points below average in everything but res, which is quite good. His growths, particularly in speed, def and res are shockingly high. All of his stats should develop very fast, and he should become a veritable powerhouse given a few levels. His build us essentially an armour Myrmidion.

Mathias was a lower-middle class citizen in a city. Once he moved out from his parents's house, he had no clue what to do, so he became a mercenary with unbelievable sword skills. One day, those skills brought him to court for a fencing competition, where he met a noblewoman his age named Blaaraaro. In the middle of the finals, he saw her and stopped to look at her, resulting in him getting creamed and losing the battle. However, the two ended up meeting and fell in love with each other; Despite his common birth, Mathias quickly gained favour in court for his wit, kindness, strength, loyalty and his niche as a jack of all trades handyman. He believed he was not worthy of marrying Blaaraaro until he did something truly spectacular, so he convinced her to let him embark on a journey to do just that; to ease her worries, he always wears his armour, even at night.

Virgil's growths are balanced, with a slight edge towards Magic, Skill, and Resistance. He'll be a reliable mage fighter and solid healer as he grows, even if his final Strength will be a tad mediocre.

Virgil is the servant of the Lord's father, and has been a constant presence in the Lord's life since he was younger. Virgil is calm, rational, logical, and has a surprisingly snarky sense of humor. When dealing with less intelligent people, he can often insult them without them noticing it. But overall, Virgil is a reliable ally who helps the logistics and bureaucratic side of the army function much more smoothly.

Virgil's personal skill is Managerial, which gives each player unit a chance to conserve weapon uses when he is deployed. This chance is based on Virgil's own (base) luck stat and is independent of the stats of the unit actually using the weapon.

Supports:

  • Esther, Sarcastic Squire: A "battle of wits" in which each is trying to get in more digs against the other without them noticing.
  • Wukong, Primal Warrior: Virgil sets about getting Wukong to put his strength to good use, moving around supply crates and the like. Virgil purposefully gives Wukong incorrect information about global culture and hides his laughter when Wukong acts on these wrong assumptions.
  • Mule: The two discuss good financial practice and inventorying methods, seeking to improve the efficiency with which the army supplies itself.
  • Galfir: When asked if he is suspicious of Galfir, Virgil states very plainly that he does not indulge presumptions or assumptions. He totally suspects something is up with this axe guy though, perhaps he's even in the loop.
  • Isaac: Virgil is distrusting of Isaac due to his connection with the evil cult. Isaac's own jokes fall flat and are often met with sharper, more carefully constructed remarks from Virgil.
  • Thane: Thane is perhaps the thickest skull which Virgil can support with. He recites several variations of "you very nearly hit it" during their supports, and tends to use Thane as a bit of a verbal punching bag for him to make fun of without the target knowing. In their A support, Thane starts developing confidence issues because of this, only for Virgil to basically say, "but when you do manage to hit something it really hurts" and that puts Thane right back to where he was originally.
