A serene and kindly soul, ceaselessly giving "help" to people, even when they really don't want it. A devout follower of a religion which prohibits the sale, purchase, touching or consumption of legumes.

Siria

wait actually

A violent religious extremist who brings purging light to annihilate the infidels. Despises infidels and heretics equally. Lives as a rebel and hermit in the desert, where non-magical opponents are slowed and vulnerable. Pragmatism, you understand. Will make the sand glow with no reservations, though at least not sadistic joy.

Orphaned as a baby, and taken in by the violent devil cult who filled her brain with all their ideals. When the devil cult is nearly wiped out, all but her, she retreats to the desert and becomes even more violent and insane.

Nala.

  • 3 weeks later...

As the daughter of an important noble, the Lord is somewhat forced into taking her in, knowing that her being disappointed would mean said noble having the Lord's head.

As she makes herself useful, however, the army gets less annoyed with having her around.

No one really knows who he is. Only that he shows up at the most opportunistic time when the main character's brother is in trouble. He doesn't wear a mask, but his hair almost completely hides his face. He likes hunting rabbits. His axe looks familiar though...

He turns out to be the main character's cousin, who inherited the legendary axe ðæfløre from the MC's ancestors. The MC and his brother can also wield the axe.

Galfir turned to a life of secrecy after the MC's family was attacked by the early game's big bad. After seeing how well the MC is doing, and that his army is safe, he opts to join the crew.

A young member of a backwater Laguz tribe, he is very eager to prove himself to both his elders and the world. He can be a bit arrogant, but he has the skill and agility to back it up! As his supports go on, he matures into his role as a soldier, which is shown in his growths as an Est archetype. He enjoys playing with the younger members of the army, giving them someone to relate to in the army.

One o' them cougar types, a people well adjusted to rugged terrain. As the player's army progresses up the Mystical Mountain to claim the Fire Emblem, they pass through a cougar village where the spry Kai recruits himself into the army. His avid hiking background enables him to serve as a useful guide, so keeping him alive nets you a Gaiden Chapter.

In order to create more interesting characters with more depth, I am editing/changing the rules to the following:

The first poster gives the character a name, gender, and a title to be used.

The second poster then gives them their class (and promotion options, if necessary), and a basic appearance.

The third gives rough growth outlines and a personality and background.

Finally, the fourth poster gives skills, and outlines their supports with other characters. It also supplies extra bonus events they're involved in, like special dialogue for fighting characters or people they can recruit or unique events they can activate.

Tara, Priestess of Flame (Female)

Powerful HP, magic, resistance and defence growths, but poor speed, skill and luck. Has the rare and coveted movement growth.

A powerful mage from the Church of the Divine Dragon, Tara is very high ranking in the Divine Guard, and duty bound to her draconic master. She acts out what she thinks the dragon would want without question in a merciless fashion... until Kai arrives at her cathedral. Upon seeing an innocent creature being fought ruthlessly by her own guard, she is horrified. This causes her to remember the corruption of the Church, and how she herself had performed great evil on false pretences. She then walks up to Kai and recruits herself Oliver-style, vowing to protect the innocent from the Church's corrupt regime. Before her recruitment, she is very uptight and arrogant, commanding several antagonistic armies from beyond the battlefield. However, in the approach to her recruitment chapter, she starts to question if what the Church is doing is really the will of the Divine Dragon. After being recruited, she fights her way through the corrupt church, before acting as the unit required to recruit the Divine Dragon himself. (Who was imprisoned by the Church, but knows only their company. She is the only person now outside the Church the Divine Dragon knows well enough to trust.) Has a huge crush on Kai, which eventually leads to marriage if both are alive at the end of the game.

Class: [Prepromote] -> Gryffon rider

Wears a thick, elaborate purple suit which covers his plate armour. Has a red cape that flows behind his back and is attached to his gryffon's tail. The gryffon herself is draped in a thin layer of ringmail armour. Good against swords but nowehere near enough to counter piercing weapons like lances and bows. (so Carlton has a personal skill that negates the weapons triangle)

Well if he has a skill that negates the weapon triangle then he has blanched growths all around(mainly def and hp). He has a code of honor, he takes very seriously. Said code being always giving his opponents a fair chance. Perhaps because he feels it's unfair when he has an advantage and in his mind it's not a true victory. However he isn't naive and knows his opponent will take advantage of that. So he always enters ever battle looking for what weapon his foe uses and evaluates from there. The reason why is because one time he almost  killed an unarmed foe, he felt it wasn't right and let pick  his foe weapon pick up their weapon. Afterwords said foe admired his honor and told him to keep on to that. He has a casual and calm personality however is very strict and and even aggressive about battle and chivalry. Aside from that he is always down for practice and training. That's all I could think of.

Well, as established, Carlton has the skill Fair Fight, which negates the weapon triangle when he is involved in the fight.

Assuming we go the Shadows of Valentia route, his supports would provide the same bonuses the weapon triangle would otherwise give him when at max level. Since I don't have the characters of this thread memorized, I'll just say that he'd probably have a support with a more reckless soldier and would try and make them a little more cautious through their training, he could lecture the treacherous about morality, and argue the finer points of chivalry with some other noble figure.

At some point in the game you have to kill the Duke of the dukedom which contains Westriver, and Carlton will accuse him of cowardliness and subversiveness and other bad things.

Class: Wind mage -> Airmaster(flying unit, wind-tome locked. He uses wind magic to push himself upwards)

A short man dressed in light robes, covered with flowers. Often seen caring for nature with a childlike grin. In his early 30's, but looks good for his age.

Conner has a very high resistance growth, with good speed but a mage’s typical poor defense. He’s a great anti-flier unit because he wields wind magic and has the movement of a flier, so they can’t really outrun him.

Personality: Conner is somewhat absentminded, often paying more attention to nature than the people and plot events around him. He’s a very kind-hearted and attentive soul, and when you can get him to pay attention to you he’s a great person to talke to problems about. The nature of his wind magic is mysterious—no other known mage is able levitate themselves in the air, and no one quite knows how Conner does it. He lives out on his own in nature and is very rarely seen by only a few rural villages that border a great forest. If one goes to the outskirts of the village, they might see him distantly near the tree line of the forest, or sitting or walking in the fields outside. Some villagers believe he is a god of nature, and all agree that he is unusual and somehow otherworldly.

He joins when your army drives the bad guy army from his forest that he is trying to protect. The bad guys have come into the forest and started leveling trees in a search for some talisman or other magical object rumored to be in the forest. Conner travels with the lords’ army to stop the evil empire/general bad guys from destroying/defiling more nature.
