Well, this was a Sacarian Knight after all. Seung-Min could only hope to evade his dogged pursuit for so long, eventually a hit was bound to land. And it was a hefty hit to be certain, but between taking the blow head-on with her TK field to mitigate some of the damage, and a shield projected from one of their allies, it was... managable. Buck would have his work cut out for him later, but they could still fly.

"Congratulations Sacarian Knight. I'm sure that finally managing to hit me will be the crowning achievement of your soon to be short-lived career." Kim shot back in response to the Knight's boastful taunt, taking another quick survey of the damage and the rest of the battlefield... this Hexis was built like a mountain, and while her ripostes were chipping away at it, the machine's core systems were avoiding any damage in the process... it was mostly hacking away at it's armour. It would take a concerted group effort to bring it down, but with the other Knight still in play- no, they needed the time and freedom to wail on this behemoth uninterrupted. Which left only one course of action in Seung-Min's mind. Major Bonner seemed to be on a similar wavelength, as he had begun to gather intelligence on the last Knight.

"Chrissy... lock on to the Theoria. We'll see how cocky he feels when he's alone... we're still fine, we'll win this." Kim noted, giving a quick slap to both of her own cheeks to get herself pumped. As soon as the lock was confirmed, the Artemis shot up to a higher altitude, railguns opening up on the Theoria with a heavy salvo of fire, funnels swarming towards the smaller and much less sturdily built machine and opening up to suppress and pin it down... it would be tougher to land hits on than their persistent friend, but with any luck she could take some of it's attention and ease the burden on their allies. Charging forward with her Xiphos alight, Kim caught her blade on the Knight's saber, locking them for a few moments as she sized up the machine from up close.

"Got ya' back, Kim. Gonna follow through with all the big guns." Elaine boasted, quickly taking flight to aid her ally. The smoke didn't even have time to clear, Elaine was going in to do some serious damage. She looked down at her displays, she didn't have much longer before the Lunar Transcient Phase burned out and took half of her thrusters with it. The output from the reactor was impressive... but kinda trashed the Oberon when she used it. As long as it lasted for when Elaine needed it, she could worry about damage later.

Pulling the Oberon's fist back as it flew, Elaine was ready to add a decisive blow to Kim's assault. There weren't many of the fleabags left, and she was going to make sure that she did her part in taking them down.

Astin had fallen. Abby'd had her part in that, and it still felt a little unsettling, but there'd been no real choices. She'd been hoping for distraction in the form of dodging fire and shooting back, but the Gamma craft that had swarmed her before seemed to disperse, picking new targets. Fair enough, that gave a little time to size up the two bosses that still remained. The one was still absolutely dogging Kim's Artemis, and honestly Abigail had been about to reverse course and go all in on it, but as things were flowing other heads had decided to focus on the one over the water. Perhaps they'd been influenced by its impressive lightshow, or perhaps they were afraid of the other, but either way, the flurry of activity was forcing gaps in its defenses. Far be it from her to let an opening go unexploited.

"Cally, you got a fix on this one?" Abby tossed out a light question, as she swivelled their suit to bring the enemy into better focus. She began pulling the beam claymore from its sheath, paused, and slid it back home. The enemy was out over the water, she'd prefer to stay where she was.

...Plus she'd just been considering how to conserve on energy what, a minute ago, two? How soon she nearly forgot. "Magnum, unless we're going in for the kill," a quiet, almost under the breath repetition to herself. Maybe that would help her remember.

It was a little restless, not circling the enemy, not closing the distance. Just steadying, aiming. How did people like Sena ever get used to this? But another couple glances to the instruments, confirming everything was set up, and a final jerk of her head back to the main monitor and Abigail was confident. It may not be her typical play, but she could make it work.

"Eat shit and die, furball."

They had almost defeated another of the Sacarian hoard... Still, despite the damage to it, the Reign, or perhaps just Hannah, was still having a nearly impossible time tracking it. "Too fast... But...!" She didn't have to be the one to hit it, did she?

"Thorvald, I am engaging the enemy, lock on target while the Reign has them occupied!" This was what it's speed was meant for! Even if she couldn't hit him... There was no way she was getting hit, either!

"Galatea, emergency shielding systems on! I don't want to take any fire after dodging this attack!"

Astin had definitely chosen the wrong side, just like so many others. It was way too late for regrets now, and with the battle not letting up, there was no time to even speculate about other possible outcomes. Their allies had to weather a coordinated counterattack for a time, but the weaker enemies had put themselves in bad straits by committing to the fight. One by one they were being taken out, and then ...

"Alright... We're cleaning them out."

Brant glanced back at his copilot wondering what she had in mind.

"Earth to shit for brains, come in, shit for brains ..." Classic. A scathing, fur ruffling rebuke followed and Brant knew once and for all that Chris' psych game was strong.

Brant took a moment to slow the Regalia's speed and transform into MS mode. They needed to decide where to go and what to attack soon, and that would be easier if they weren't zipping around as much. Meanwhile, the others wasting no time in ganging up on the Theoria. To Brant's surprise, Thorvald scored the finishing blow. It looked like it was going to be Hannah, but all things considered, the outcome was about the same. No point in kill counting today. It wasn't a good day.

...

With Astin and Marianne dealt with, they could focus on the remaining enemies, none of whom would be spared if Firmia had anything to say about it. If they didn't flee, then the fleet wouldn't have to worry about them showing up later when they hit Apotheosis' main base. Thinking on that for a moment had been a mistake, actually ... Firmia didn't know what kind of threats were waiting for them, but the Riese had suffered near irreparable damage this time around. It would be one thing if they could delay the final attack until the ship was fully repaired, but that was more time for their enemies to regroup. If the Athena and ANF escorts weren't enough to make up the difference, they might actually lose the next one.

Walking back that awful train of thought, Firmia was just in time to see the Theoria destroyed. Making a mental note to pick over the wreckage if and when they secured their victory, she searched the field for vulnerable targets. It was good timing, given the support request that followed. "That's Gamma number nine ... Let'em have it!"

Firmia waited, carefully gauging the hits the Gamma was taking from the combined volley of missiles and heavy beam fire. It was certainly damaged by the attack, but by no means finished. Just one attempt wasn't going to cut it. "Marcia, full power! Blow that furball out of the sky!"

Revolutsiya (Chapter VI)

A line opened towards the Vaska, video feed showing up on Petya's console. A gray, male cat with jade eyes stared back at him, rather neutral expression despite what had just happened. "Rook Khiia'Sar's signal has gone dark. I expect your leader, or the Sacarians working with you, have dealt with her... As such, I surrender. I am Viil'Hayn. My life is yours, worthy forces."

So this was what happened with Haal'Sen and Raay'Xel, Petya noted, somewhat humbled seeing such a powerful enemy submit in person. Not sure how Gabriel wanted to handle this, Petya rose from his seat to address Viil'Hayn himself. "My name is Vladimir Petya, Captain of the Vaska." No need for a lengthy introduction, Viil'Hayn likely knew as much about this particular ship as Gabriel and anyone else looking to get their hands or claws on it. "On behalf of the Vaska and Statlas, I accept your surrender, and thank you for acting so promptly, Viil'Hayn."

"Awesooome!"

"Open channel, sir. Sorry ..." one of the comms officers chimed in, pointing at the Gilded Throne above them. There wasn't a clear view, but the suit was hovering over to the Praxis Gamma it had been, no more than thirty seconds ago, exchanging hot plasma with.

"You're working with us, now?! I'm Eva! It's great to meet you!"

"There is no point in fighting once the leader has been defeated. You are stronger, thus, I must follow. This... Gabriel, shall command me, now." Haal'Sen and Raay'Xel's minds, though far, were easier to read than these humans. They told him all he needed to know. He didn't seem bothered... Not until Eva decided to chime in. "I work for Gabriel, human," he bit out, nearly hissing. "I am a soldier. Not your friend. I assume Gabriel will command me to act cordial, and I shall, to the best of my abilities. Do not think I wish to be closer with your kind. You are beneath me."

Not even slightly deterred, Eva took a moment to pat Viil's Praxis on the shoulder a couple of times. "Yep, I bet you're like seven feet tall. That's fine. As long as we're all on the same side, everything's fine."

The comms officer tried his best not to laugh. This really was a completely different scene from moments ago ...

"I suppose I should put you through to Gabriel, then," Petya nodded, first to Viil'Hayn's image on the display, and then to his comms officer.

When Gabriel appeared next to Viil'Hayn, Petya knew to start things off. "Gabriel, this is Viil'Hayn. He surrendered the moment you defeated Khiia'Sar. I trust you can take things from here."

"Indeed," Gabriel grinned, genuinely happy not all of the opposing Sacarians had to die, today. "We're on our way back to the main hangar. Viil'Hayn, come meet us here."

"I'll escort you," Eva offered with a bubbly smile. Maybe offer wasn't the right term.

"Wha... W-We are not friends! Get your machine's claws off of me!" The Praxis backed away a smidge, just enough to keep distance from the Throne, confusion ripe in Viil's mind. At least the one he would actually be following had arrived... This was the machine that had defeated Khiia'Sar, then.

"At least your leader is impressive... Yes, lead on. No, not you." A growl of disgust escaped his throat, following after the Archangel without pause.

"Hey wait up!" Despite protest from Viil'Hayn, Eva put the Gilded Throne into flight mode and followed after.

"... well, we made it," Petya said to the bridge, "Good work, everyone."

"He- ..." a jumbled transmission came through.

Looking puzzled, Petya looked to his comms officer.

"Let's see ... looks like the distortion is on their end, sir."

"C-n any--e h-ar m-?"

"Hey, that's ..."

Petya already knew ... it was their Crown pilot, the one that had tackled the other Praxis and been blasted by the Volkovs. "He made it. Get a rescue team down to the crash! Quickly, now!"

...

The comms room was where Gabriel decided to handle the debriefing, though there wasn't much to say about the battle itself. Khiia'Sar was dead, and Neo Nidas--the pilot Nemesis Squadron had been formed specifically to take out--had escaped with his surviving escorts. Overall mission success. The real interesting part was that Viil'Hayn wasn't the only Sacarian to survive the battle. Petya's Crown pilot made it out with somewhat mild injuries considering the circumstances, but so did the Sacarian he grabbed, Diiar'Xen. In addition, one of Haal'Sen's opponents also survived, one Sool'Vay, though she was in the infirmary with the Crown pilot. Those present were Gabriel, Ziva, Haal'Sen, Raay'Xel, Vladimir, Captain Petya, Juliya, Lo, Evangeline, Jack, Dragomir, Vasile, and their newest members, Viil'Hayn and Diiar'Xen.

Naturally, Juliya was in a foul mood, having missed her chance to avenge the staff members at Voronin Facility, as well as her own comrades that served aboard the Vaska in the weeks after the war started. Gabriel couldn't do anything more than try to encourage her for the next attempt before the meeting, but that hadn't worked. Best to give her her space so long as she didn't disrupt the meeting.

"Well everyone," Gabriel gestured to the latest Sacarian to join their ranks, "this is Viil'Hayn, and this is Diiar'Xen. They surrendered in much the same way as Haal'Sen and Raay'Xel. Another, Sool'Vay, is recovering in the infirmary, along with that daring pilot. I doubt the transition will be much easier for them than it was for Haal'Sen and Raay'Xel, and so I ask for your understanding when dealing with them." Meeting eyes with the male Sacarians he added, "That goes for you as well. They may not look like much, but they're all strong allies, and my own strength comes from the trust I've placed in them."

"... I see," Diiar'Xen winced, not too thrilled about this arrangement, but unwilling to make a scene over it.

"If that is what you command," Viil'Hayn sighed, none to pleased about having to work with humans... Especially that, tanned one in the corner, who kept staring at him... She was the pilot from the Throne. How had such a measly specimen kept up with him? She would not have won, but even matching him blow for blow was a hit to his pride. He shuffled uncomfortably, messing with the collar of his uniform, leaning against the wall of the meeting room.

"You could do to be a bit less upset, Viil'Hayn." Haal'Sen scoffed at him, still sporting the shorts and t-shirt she'd went into battle with. Her pilot suit be damned, this was comfortable and she was wearing it.

"... I am surprised you are so fine with this, princess," he cut at her with, rolling his eyes.

"You and I both know that word holds no meaning among our race. I am here for the same reason you are. My leader was beaten, and I was forced to surrender."

"Tch... Gabriel, would you be willing to entertain a request of execution? Allow me to die with my pride before I am forced to work with you... Inferior monkeys..."

"Oh, of all the things..." Haal'Sen rolled her eyes and sighed, placing a hand over her face. Some of these new bloods were choking on this talk of 'pride'.

"I'm inclined to agree," Diiar'Xen sighed, "You have no chance of defeating Shia'Naar. I don't want to die a traitor ..."

"You won't," Eva protested, standing up on her toes to try and get both their attention, "because we'll win."

"Request denied," Gabriel smiled pityingly, "That you three survived all is a blessing and I won't squander it. Help me, help us revive this country and make it strong again. The Sacarian people can have a new home here. Granted, this is contingent on our people's not building up so much animosity that genocide beats coexistence." The war really was doing more harm than good, no matter how one looked at it.

Raay'Xel nodded along as Gabriel spoke, having changed from her pilot suit to her earlier sundress for the meeting. Really, this was among the better possible outcomes of this battle... they hadn't taken any significant losses, and were able to add three healthy Sacarian warriors to their ranks, as well as salvage their machines.

"Are you really so surprised, Viil'Hayn? Haal'Sen... IS, Kal'Sheen's daughter, after all. That aside, My Liege, if I may interject..." Raay'Xel asked, a nod from Gabriel telling her all she needed to know.

"Khiia'Sar's machine was a Praxis Beta model. Whatever we can salvage from it should be used to further improve the Archangel. It is of superior make to Gammas."

"Coexist? With your lot? Ugh... Do not make me sick..." Viil'Hayn would not be so easily won over, it seemed. Haal'Sen was disappointed, but he wouldn't betray Gabriel, not unless the man lost. It would take some definite meddling to get him to see their points of view. "I will fight and die for you. That is all." He folded his arms and looked away, until Raay'Xel mentioned their queen. "Yes, I do suppose the apple does not fall far from its tree... And you, Haal'Sen... Disgusting. Already cozying up to the King?"

"You will not judge me. Gabriel is a man of superior integrity, intellect, bravery and compassion. Few among our race would manage to stand up to him as a person." Haal'Sen snarled, scowling over at Raay'Xel for bothering to bring up her mother. Weird as the Queen was, Haal'Sen could see merit in some of her fancies, now.

"We shall see how great our King is... Speaking of upgrades, are our praxes models to receive similar treatment to Raay'Xel and Haal'Sen's? I believe it would do you to address them all, if your lofty dream of touching a knight is to pass."

Salvaging the Beta to improve the Archangel seemed like a matter of course in hindsight. Gabriel wouldn't be fighting Shia'Naar alone, but if he couldn't at least hold his own, just like he had here today, their secondary objective would fail. The people had to see that help or no help, Gabriel was a force to be reckoned with, and someone worthy of the title 'King.'

"I will be the one to strike down Shia'Naar," Gabriel assured Viil'Hayn and Diiar'Xen, "I'll need help, of course, as well as those upgrades for the Archangel Raay'Xel mentioned, but that's all part of the role. And yes, your suits will be getting repaired and upgraded. If you have requests for the engineers, speak with Vasile. He's in charge of Engineering."

"Heheh," Vasile chuckled, "Perhaps we 'inferior monkeys' will impress you in the coming days. Tell me what you want, and we'll make it happen, within reason, of course. The Archangel has priority."

"Of course you will, my Liege," Viil'Hayn replied, almost scoffing. Gabriel's confidence was impressive, and he said it with full truth. Actually accomplishing such a task? He was a madman for considering it. "I want the same upgrades that Haal'Sen's machine has. And a rifle. Something long range and powerful. I prefer ranged weaponry."

"He shall, Viil'Hayn. When he does, I expect the utmost respect out of you. Else I shall send Eva after you, and you will know true pain." Haal'Sen sighed. Eva did make an effective weapon, at least.

"What? The runt over there? What could she possibly do to me?"

"You do not want to find out."

"Gahaha... oh, it is truly amusing to see the stark contrast between these humans and other Sacarians... yet you both can see clearly now that Our Liege speaks with absolute confidence. We shall complete this task through his leadership, just as he managed to defeat a Sacarian squadron almost entirely on his own, and just as we defeated Khiia'Sar today. Gabriel has a way of making the impossible quite possible indeed. And I fully intend to stand by him every step as his loyal Knight." Raay'Xel noted, stepping forward and placing her hand over her heart as she spoke. As the eldest and from what they had shown so far, wisest warrior of the bunch, it fell on her to make a good example, after all.

Diiar'Xen glanced over at the young woman, taking a brief look below the surface for any hints of what was so dangerous about her. Viil'Hayn had fought her, and she stood here, alive and well ... that made her dangerous, but Diiar'Xen didn't detect anything worth worrying about. He supposed there was plenty of time to learn what that one was all about.

To his surprise, Raay'Xel spoke up with high praise for Gabriel, even calling herself his loyal knight. What had happened to these two? "You are a knight now, Raay'Xel?" The thought was amusing, making Diiar'Xen wonder if human standards were that much lower than Sacarians', or if it was simply an honorary title and not an actual rank in this local hierarchy.

"Yes, she is," Gabriel nodded, "Look at the bigger picture, and what I expect from her and Haal'Sen ... and both of you. Knight is fitting indeed, because when we win, you will be the ones that helped start it all. I may be the one in the limelight, but your actions won't be overlooked, downplayed, or forgotten, and your seniority will carry a great deal of weight."

"Hmm," Diiar'Xen put a hand on his chin, really taking the idea onboard. He still felt the knight title was so premature as to be meaningless here, but the fact that they were almost certainly all going to die going after Shia'Naar was a very important factor. If they actually won somehow, and under the command of a human no less, they would be legends. Gabriel was right ... their actions wouldn't be forgotten. Right then ... "If you are going to defeat Shia'Naar, then you need to have your back covered at all times. I'll take up a shield and keep you alive." He looked expectantly at Vasile.

"A shield is fine ... any specifics?"

"Mrgh ... figure it out, human."

"I as well," Haal'Sen saluted the same, glad that Raay'Xel still saw things properly.

"You're all insane... Whatever. If it is my Liege's wish to challenge the Knight presiding over Russia, then we so long as we are properly equipped, I shall do my best." Diiar'Xen's leanings were correct, at least. If they did succeed... They would never be forgotten, by Sacarians or Humans. No Pawn had ever aided in the defeat of a Knight.

"That's all I ask," Gabriel smiled, "Now then ... onto the other factors in that last battle." He couldn't really smile at Juliya when he looked at her ... she was furious and barely keeping it under control. "Was Nemesis Squad able to learn anything new about Neo? I want to leave him to you and your team like you asked, but if he's going to be too much trouble-"

"There's something about him I just don't get," Juliya hissed, "He's so damn calm, like he can't possibly lose. We just need to figure out why that is ... then we'll swat him down."

"Do any of you know about him?" Gabriel asked Viil'Hayn and Diiar'Xen. Neo had warped in close behind the Sacarians, so perhaps they were acquainted. It was worth looking into at any rate.

Viil'Hayn rolled his eyes. "The overconfident windbag, yes. Apotheosis promises us victory with him at our side, and here we are. What a worthless organization... Aside from that, I could probably give you his machine's schematics, so long as my Praxis model was not too terribly damaged. I do not know a thing about him, though."

"How his machine works is a wonderful asset already, Viil'Hayn. So long as your data is intact, that will be of great use." Haal'Sen smiled over at him, nodding.

"Yeah... Well... Whatever... You're welcome."

"I see you are both coming around, wahaha! We shall chase glory, and seize it with our own hands, giving glorious battle, as is the way of a warrior! And if we should fail? Then you'll duly receive that execution you so desired, Viil'Hayn. But I... I have no intention of dying, nor of failing My Liege. So long as he wills it, I shall make that will a reality." Raay'Xel continued, a boisterous laughter bellowing from her chest. They had already won a battle they had no business coming out the victor in, and without loss, no less.

"Such confidence," Diiar'Xen murmured, feeling a little overwhelmed by Raay'Xel's enthusiasm. "Win or lose, it will be quite the battle, I suppose. As for that Apotheosis pilot, the schematics should be enough for you to find a winning strategy. All I know about him is that he is one of those fake telekinetics you humans created."

Juliya's ears perked up. "Did you say 'fake?'"

"His mind is not natural. Something to keep in mind in your next battle with him. If you fall, we will deal with him."

Juliya glared daggers at Diiar'Xen. "Nemesis Squad has it under control. Just focus on your liege, Puma Boy."

What was a puma? Diiar'Xen scowled when he found the answer in her thoughts. Humans were so weak, both in battle and in banter.

"That should be all for now, then," Gabriel said, setting Juliya with a look that said 'knock it off,' "No point discussing the particulars on the Vaska or our machines until there's something to discuss. You can go ahead and get your people and mine started on that, by the way, Vasile."

Giving a casual salute, Vasile smiled and said, "This is where the fun begins."

"If you fall, we will deal with him," Haal'Sen echoed, not appreciating Juliya's arrogance and anger. They were allies, her focus on defeating him with just her squadron would only hurt her. "In any case, Diiar'Xen is not a puma. None of us are cats, or anything related to them. Cease your comparisons... Viil'Hayn, Diiar'Xen, Raay'Xel, shall we make for the hangar?" Haal'Sen moved to leave either way, a dejected Viil'Hayn glaring at Juliya before going to follow.

"I shall show you what makes my Psi unique, and you can speak with the mechanics and Vasile about what you want in your machines. Hopefully Sool'Vay wakes up in time to get her words in for what she wants."

"So long as the can provide me with an effective rifle, I will be fine." Viil'Hayn had simple wishes.

"They can do that and much more," Haal'Sen assured him.

"Indeed," Vasile smirked, "The mechanics have been scared spitless since these knight rumors made the rounds, so I'm sure we can get you something nice and hard hitting~"

"To the hangar, then," Diiar'Xen said, clearly tired of the present company. He glanced at Gabriel briefly, wondering if he should ask his liege to accompany them for his own safety, or if things worked differently around here. He decided not to insist on it. Gabriel had a warrior's mindset, and could certainly handle himself with other humans if one of them decided to challenge him over something.

...

Sool'Vay stared up at the ceiling of the infirmary, thoroughly irritated. It wasn't just her defeat bothering her, though that had much of her attention initially. No, right now she just wanted these humans to stop bothering her. Between the doctor and a few other patients asking unimportant questions, she was fed up.

"This is a splinting procedure," the doctor explained, his words coming out unbearably slow, as if he thought she couldn't understand him all that well. He showed her the enormous SIEG injector he planned to use to mend her broken arm. "Anesthetising you may be dangerous; I am not familiar with Sacarian biology. I apologize and ask that you please not move your arm ..." He had to run some tests before he could even be certain that SIEG solutions were safe--or at least serviceable for Sacarians, given they were designed specifically for humans.

"Yikes ... may want to bite down on something," an injured Russian pilot said, "It helps. Trust me, I know."

Sool'Vay sighed at the oppressive light fixture overhead. "... where is your leader? I wish to speak with him."

"Gabriel? He's in a meeting with the senior staff, I believe," the doctor answered, carefully lining up the injector with his reference X-ray scans.

"Gabriel ... so he is my king, now. A mere human ..." Another sigh left the injured Sacarian.

"King? That's formal," the pilot chuckled.

"Be silent--hrg," Sool'Vay didn't notice the injector activating until it pierced her arm. It was difficult to describe the sensation that followed. It was like her arm was being 'filled' with something soft ... not quite liquid, at least it didn't feel like liquid after a second or two ...

"Hold still, please," the doctor said, hoping to get this done as quickly and efficiently as possible. While holding the injector with one hand, he used another X-ray device with a display on the back to see where the SIEG injection had taken root. Satisfied after checking and doublechecking his results, he withdrew the large injector and shut off the scanner. He couldn't help but smile at Sool'Vay, and probing his thoughts as best she could let her know that her arm, while still immobile for the time being, would recover extremely quickly. "You need to mind your arm, but you should be fine. If you need anything for the pain, let me know."

Sool'Vay immediately got up from the bed, to the doctor and his patients' surprise. "Thank you, human. If that's all, then I'm leaving."

"You should rest for now," the doctor pleaded, "I'm sure Gabriel will visit you again after his meeting."

"I've rested quite enough already," the Sacarian retorted, "You've done well here. Don't spoil it with petty concerns." With that, she headed for the door, mind scanning for this Gabriel ...

"Two down... it's pretty amazing we've made this much progress, Major." Gordon was hesitantly positive, understandably so. The pressure he was feeling died down considerably, and it seemed he'd been more active with the auxiliary controls.

"They were quite tough to break down, but we've had luck on our side --and struck fast enough." Major Bonner was less hesitant, though perhaps because his need to pilot was far more pressing for concern, or because he avoided the alien's crushing psychic pressure. Whatever it was, Bonner was wasting no time forging a bit ahead --they've gained enough ground to warrant so. Soon enough, the Mantle shifted to MS mode, taking a lance previously held in a hardpoint.

"Take the weapon controls, Lieutenant." Bonner replied, and with a swipe of hand, opened the communications system. He radioed a following message to a certain nearby guard trooper. "Contacting the Phalanx Rider. We'll lead with a charge. If possible, a quick follow up 2 seconds after impact would be appreciated." It would be enough time to retreat the lance after impaling the alien mech, by Bonner's estimates.

Bonner shifts into MS mode, lands, charges onto (12,19), gets Makoto to provide backup fire (Supression Pistol) as they attack Praxis Gamma #3 with the Impact Gunlance.

Shaking off the worst of the effects of the psychic assault, Thorvald was pleased to see the rest of the team had continued performing great feats. Even Elaine, whose concerns he had been unable to address. Now, a message was coming in from Hannah, requesting support.

"Roger that," his words were a little slower and more deliberate than normal, almost having to force them out, but otherwise there was nothing wrong with his voice. Good, that was good. "King Arthur, I'll be laying down the heat while you'll be keeping their attention. Don't get caught out unaware though!"

His warning was pointless. Hannah in the Reign was breath in the wind. He needn't have worried. And more important, it looked like he'd landed a decisive shot, with the enemy craft's thrusters cutting out, and it falling into the lake with a stunning splash. He could almost picture a chubby thirteen year old calling out 'Cannonball' as he launched himself from diving board into a pool.

"Well, we've clearly got a good thing going, no reason to let it go to waste," Thorvald mused aloud, then swiveled the Odin's facing, circling about ninety degrees and locking in on the other massive threat.

Alriana observed as yet another Sacarian leader craft was shot out of the sky, the remains of the machine plunging into the lake below. That one had been so fragile neither she nor Thorvald had needed to weaken it's armor. With that, the battle appeared to wrapping up; only a few foes remained and she only considered one of them a threat. The Hexis, still standing strong after trading so many blows with Kim. That one would require a concentrated team effort, no question about it. There would be little point in her moving against it preemptively. Instead, her sights fell once again on a damaged craft. She was more than happy to remove the Sacarian inside.

Alriana to 12,20 use Triburst vs Gamma 3.

Suddenly, making himself and easy target was a garbage idea since the Vellites weren't known for being damage sponges. A couple missile barrages ended in some noticeable damage on his machine. It was shakeable since he was only hit by one asshole. The rest were easy pickings after that. A quick Graviton shot and the Saturn took a serious hit. Someone else could handle that while he still made an annoying target for the Chaldenes to attack.

What caught him unfortunately was the two Praxi charging in, one missed and he was able to plant his pulse palm into it's face, knocking it back as the second came in. Too quick for him to react in time, he made a common move of placing his machine's right arm in the way, much like a shield. The thing that sucked, was that the plasma cutter did the exact thing a plasma cutter would do: it cut right through his arm with plasma, and the limb of his Vellite dropped to the bottom of the lake.

"Awww shit. The shop's gonna be so maaad," He commented as he pulled himself away from the Praxis. And it still wasn't over as the Chaldene's continued their missile barrages. He was able to keep himself out of harm's way for a bit, but the final barrages did a number on him and his machine...

For what felt like almost minutes at a time, he was blacked out for only a few moments, brought back by the sound of com chatter and something else. Something... wet, at his legs. And something warm on his left arm. A combination of blood and lakewater. It was time. He would have to back out..

A sigh, "Okay, fuck this." He plainly spoke, as he pulled himself away from the Chaldenes, bringing himself out of the lake and into some nearby woods, he unmuted his coms, "This is Sergeant McNair. I uh... took a bit more than I could chew, aaaand... yeah. Everything kinda hurts right now."

Tycho moves to 15,10!
