[FE11] H4: Live Free or Draft Hard

There’s been drafts of pretty nearly every difficulty for Shadow Dragon in the past, but none from what I can see for H4. In fact, I’m pretty sure people only ever acknowledge H4’s existence in reference to there being 5 total Hard modes. It’s kind of tragic; only being acknowledged as reference that those above and below you exist, never to get your time in the limelight…

So here’s a draft for the sad, neglected younger brother of Merciless, using some changes to the standard rules to eliminate the ability/need to meatshield and make Gaidens actually matter; it’s 4-Star Hard: Fiendish!

Drafting:
1. This draft is for 4 players.

2. Marth, Jagen and Nagi/Gotoh are free for all to use.
3. Caeda is free until after Chapter 12x and then counts as undrafted for everybody.
4. The game will be played on Hard 4 (Fiendish), using the Gaiden Requirements patch found here: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2316/ Use this if you have issues patching: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/704/ and remember to untick the checksum thing in the gear icon.
5. Gaiden chapters count for turns the same as any other chapter. Better get Starlight, or else!

Rules:
1. You may only deploy free and drafted units. Units required to recruit a drafted unit in a given chapter may be deployed, trade, and be attacked, but may not do anything else.

2. Force-deployed units may be attacked without countering.
3. Forging is allowed with no restrictions.

4. You are free to reclass undrafted units to whatever you want.
5. Marth may not Seize the throne in Chapter 19 before Turn 5.
6. Usage of the Wi-Fi Shop, and of the Warp staff, is strictly prohibited.

Extra:
1. You may not use loaner units.

2. One undrafted unit is free for Chapter 1.
3. Wrys is free until Chapter 4.

4. Ogma is allowed to attack the boss in Chapters 2 and 3. He may not attack any other units.

Penalties:
1. Deploying undrafted units is a 4 turn penalty, per unit per chapter.

Undrafted SCRUBS*:

Looks like shopping is restricted to drafted units only, which looks like it'll be a pain.

Not /in, because I play on cart.  Good luck to everyone!

Finally done with 60 displayed hit on the boss hell.

EDIT: Putting this in a spoiler cause this shit is long.

Spoiler

Chapter 1: 8/8

Basic Jeigan tanks on the fort for a while while Marth gets the village and Caeda distracts pirates over the ocean. Free unit was Gordin since he could finish off the Pirates from range after Jeigan chipped them, which let him stay out of range of some oncoming ones so they'd attack Jeigan instead. Also needed him to kill the thief so he wouldn't get pissed and murder everyone after getting Wrys. He did his job and then died along with Cain distracting Pirates away from Marth and Jeigan.

Caeda went super tryhard and crit-killed two Pirates for a shitty speed-only level. Boss kill was bullshit as usual, with Jeigan having to hit two 60 displayed hit Silver Lances, getting healed in-between by Wrys, with Caeda finishing off the boss with a 60 displayed hit Wing Spear. Yuck.

Stats:

Marth Lv. 1.40 Lord Base

Jeigan Lv. --/1.95 Paladin Base

Caeda Lv. 2.90 Pegasus Knight 16HP/4Str/1Mgc/6Skl/13Spd/9Lck/7Def/6Res D Lances

WRYS Lv. 1.51 Curate Base

Chapter 2: 6/14

Yeah, dudes went forward and killed stuff. Cord died choking the point on the island. Able died to protect WRYS. Bosskill sucked even with the savepoint cause Jeigan needs to hit twice at 59 hit and Bord needs to finish off the boss with a 58 hit Iron Axe. Eww. Castor got fed the thief. Marth got A KILL.

Chapter 3: 7/21

Jeigan, Bord, and Ogma formed a wall to take on the fighters such that each of them would only get hit once, and then everyone finished them off next turn. Caeda recruited Navarre and trade-chained his Killing Edge over to Ogma. Bord used his new-found Devil Axe to chunk stuff, and Castor proved very useful for finishing stuff off.

Boss kill sucked as always. Jeigan needs to chip the boss with the Steel Sword and dodge one of the boss' attacks, since he ORKOs Jeigan despite Jeigan's defense proc last chapter. Then Ogma needs to crit the boss with the Killing Edge at 27ish crit using the save point, with Castor finishing him off with the Iron Bow at like 60 hit or something. Fed a Thief to Bord since he wasn't able to help with the boss.

Chapter 4: 7/28

Man this took effort.  Pirate Bord chips the thief to feed to Castor, allowing Wrys to heal Bord and reach D Staves. Caeda and Dracoknight!Jeigan line up to kill one cav and chip another one. On the next turn. Jeigan chips one of the cavs with the javelin to let Caeda finish it off since she'd die on the counter-attack otherwise. Castor uses the save point to let Ogma crit the other cav that's at full HP with the Killing Edge to kill it. Marth finishes off the cav Jeigan chipped with the rapier.

The next few turns are to get the archers into such a position where I can kill them both, and bait the Horsemen without anyone drafted dying. Keyword being drafted. Thus Devil Axe Bord and Castor kill one archer, leaving them in range of both Horsemen, and Caeda + Ogma kill the other archer, and Jeigan chips the thwomp to get him to move. The first Horseman nearly kills Castor, and the other one does kill Merric, who valiantly sacrificed himself after giving away his Excalibur to Marth. Next turn Jeigan kills the thwomp and chokes the bridge because gosh darn it, the army of fighters has caught up to us. Bord kills the Horsman Castor chipped last turn and Ogma crits the other one with the Killing Edge. I have to do this since Caeda needs to go up to kill the boss and there's no one else left to chip the Horseman besides Castor who has like no HP left and would die on the counterattack. Caeda ORKOs the boss next turn, Bord Devil Axes the other thief for a level and Ogma, Jeigan, and Castor all team up to kill one fighter.

Chapter 5: 4/32

Much easier than the last chapter. Jeigan and Caeda go up to bait the cavs up north, killing one and chipping the other. The two living cavs get fed to Ogma and Castor. Pirate Bord goes across the water and baits the javelin cav with a Hand Axe, while Castor chips a thief to feed it to Hardin. Vyland died tanking archers. Caeda chips the boss down enough to let Hardin get the bosskill with Jeigan's nearly broken Silver Lance.

Stats:

Marth Lv. 2.31 Lord 18HP/6Str/0Mgc/3Skl/8Spd/7Lck/7Def/0Res D Swords

Jeigan Lv. --/3.10 Dracoknight 20HP/8Str/1Mgc/10Skl/9Spd/1Lck/12Def/3Res B Lances E Axes

Bord Lv. 6.30 Pirate 21HP/12Str/0Mgc/5Skl/6Spd/3Lck/6Def/0Res C Axes

Castor Lv. 7.03 Hunter 23HP/8Str/0Mgc/6Skl/8Spd/4Lck/4Def/0Res D Bows

Hardin Lv. 6.97 Cavalier Base

Chapter 6: 10/42

Yeah... Without Wolf/Sedger to choke the point in the middle of the map, I had to take several turns killing the enemies in there to keep my dudes from dying. Everyone except Castor and Wrys went towards the throne, while Castor chipped an Archer over and over again the entire chapter while getting healed by Wrys until the very end where Jeigan helped Castor finally kill the guy. Had to kill the boss with a Wing Spear crit since everyone was at such low HP that none of them could take a hit from the boss. Also RIP vulneraries. Got all the treasure except for the Killing Edge.

Chapter 6x: 7/49

Yep. Killed the boss with Iron Axe Jeigan and a hit + crit from Ogma with the killing Edge.

Chapter 7: 7/56

Forged a +5 might, +10 hit Steel Bow to OHKO the Dracoknight. Also OHKOs Minerva for that sweet exp.

Hardin and Caeda go down in range of the Dracoknight with everyone else behind them. Hardin misses the Dracoknight, but I thankfully accounted for that happening already and Castor just OHKOs it anyway. Caeda and Hardin block two of the forts, and then everyone else moves down. Marth takes Hardin's place on the fort so Hardin can smack some fools with the Ridersbane, Ogma crits a cav with the Killing Edge, and Castor murders the Whitewings for exp. Caeda technically could have killed the boss on Turn 6 for Marth to seize with a Wing Spear crit (she gets OHKOed by the boss so she only gets one shot), but I had to use both save points by this point already, so I took an extra turn for reliability. This also let me feed the boss to Ogma instead which was nice, although I wish he'd proc speed.

Chapter 8: 5/61

Rickard went shopping while everyone else went up. Bord, Ogma, Caeda, Hardin, and Jeigan formed a line to protect Marth and Castor from the cavs while also preventing any of them from taking multiple attacks. Boss kill sucked because Caeda gets OHKOed by bosses now so she can't help kill them anymore. Had Jeigan chip the boss with the Silver Lance on enemy phase 4, then Ogma chipped the boss with the Armorslayer (Caeda was nect to him for the support bonus to hit) so Hardin could finish him off.

Chapter 9: 5/66

Pretty easy overall. Bord and Jeigan baited some pirates from across the water while the rest of the crew went around the long way. Needed Hardin to proc strength on his level up part-way through the chapter to finish off the boss. A crit from Ogma followed by Silver Lance Hardin exactly did the job. Marth got fed two kills! He still sucks though. Rickard got the treasure. Wrys still has base magic.

Stats:

Marth Lv. 5.64 Lord 21HP/7Str/0Mgc/5Skl/10Spd/9Lck/7Def/0Res D Swords

Jeigan Lv. --/4.15 Dracoknight 20HP/8Str/1Mgc/10Skl/9Spd/1Lck/13Def/3Res A Lances E Axes

Castor Lv. 10.79 Hunter 26HP/10Str/0Mgc/8Skl/10Spd/4Lck/5Def/0Res C Bows

Hardin Lv. 11.88 Cavalier 26HP/13Str/0Mgc/9Skl/12Spd/4Lck/9Def/1Res D Swords B Lances

Rickard Lv. 1.00 Thief Base

Chapter 10: 8/74

Forged a +3 might, +15 Ridersbane to OHKO the cavliers.

Everyone rushed left and then up. Caeda killed the thwmop blocking the way inside so that Rickard could get the physic staff. Bord + Marth killed one cav, and Ogma, Jeigan, and Hardin each killed one of the other ones by themselves. Flier squad was a slight pain, but it worked out, Jeigan and Ogma chipped the Dracoknights on enemy phase with silver weapons, and then Bord + Marth killed a Pegasus Knight, Caeda, + Ogma killed the other Pegasus Knight, Castor OHKOed a Dracoknight with the unforged Steel Bow thanks to the chip damage from earlier, and Jeigan + Hardin killed the last Dracoknight after Wrys healed Jeigan. After that Hardin and Marth walked to the throne, while Bord and Jeigan went to kill the Hero with the Master Seal. Castor baited the archers through the wall and killed them all for exp, including the Sniper, since a speed proc mid-chapter kept Castor from getting doubled by it, so he slowly killed it with Wrys healing him. Jeigan baited the Hero with the Silver Lance, then chipped him with the Javelin to let Bord finish him off with an Iron Axe. Hardin 4HKOed the boss with the Silver Lance, making this one of the most reliable bosskills in the entire run so far. He also crit the thwomp by the boss, denying Ogma some exp, the bastard.

Chapter 11: 9/83

Promoted Hardin at level 13 and gave him the Angelic Robe to survive the Sniper and the Speedwing for doubling more stuff.

Hardin went up and murdered pretty much everything up north, including the Manakete and the Sniper, who needed to die before Marth got there since Marth ends up being in the Sniper's range and gets ORKOed by the Sniper cause Marth sucks. Thankfully Hardin is god and with healing support from WRYSSS he got everything cleared out. The other units went towards the arena, killing some mercs along the way. Ogma and Bord went to the arena once each, and Castor went twice. Bought another Silver Lance and some healing staves for Wrys since his Mend Staff is nearly broken.

Chapter 12: 6/89

Had Hardin go around the long way, which despite being the long way actually lets him reach the boots chest faster, allowing him to get it on the same turn that Marth seizes instead of needing an extra turn to get it if he had gone through the treasure room. Ogma, Caeda, Jeigan, and Marth go through the treasure room, while Bord and Wrys go to save the scrub squad in the cell, or at least the three I actually care about anyway. Castor kills the Armorslayer thief and then uses the save point in preperation for the Asshole Sniper of doom, who ORKOs everyone except Caeda and Hardin, who just get OHKOed instead. Great. Such annoying enemies get removed with RIGGING. Caeda crits + hits him with the Wing Spear after Jeigan opens the door, bringing him to low enough HP that Hardin can finish him off with a javelin from across the wall. After that things are pretty simple. Rickard and Caeda get all of the treasure in the treasure room except the Silver Sword (Ogma and Caeda killed the General). WRYS then uses the other save point to let Ogma OHKO the boss with the Killing Edge while Hardin gets the boots and Castor kills a reinforcement Horseman. Marth finally reached C Swords by killing the Cleric in front of the boss, yay?

Chapter 12x: 5/94

Gave Marth the boots, Ogma the Energy Drop, and Boah the Spirit Dust.

Uh, yeah. People went up. Hardin murdered a bunch of stuff and reached D Axes in the process. Ogma killed Horace. Bord hammered thwomps. Castor reached B Bows. Caeda reached B Lances, but she's leaving so who cares. DANK MAGE MACELLEN tanked javelins to the face so Wrys and Boah could heal him. What a guy.

Chapter 13: 3/97

Forged a +1 might, +10 crit Levin Sword to let Astram kill the boss... or at least that was what was supposed to happen, but a thief stands on the exact tile that Astram needs to be on to kill the boss on Turn 2, so RIP reliability.

Promoted Ogma and Castor.

Castor, Bord, and Boah on the bottom, Fighter!Macellen and Rickard up top (Dank Mage Macellen gets OHKOed by Stonehoist, so RIP memes), everyone else in the middle. Everyone goes forward, staying out of Astram's range. Bord, Boah, and Macellen tank ballista on enemy phase. Turn 2, Midia recruits Astram after Hardin kills a ballista blocking her way, gives him the Levin Sword, and then chugs a vulnerary. Astram then ORKOs the Thunderbolt Ballista with a hit + crit from the Levin Sword. Ogma kills another ballista in Marth's path so Marth can use his full movement. Castor kills a ballista down south. People pray that they dodge Stonehoist on enemy phase. Astram + Hardin team up to kill the boss, Jeigan + Midia kill the Ridersbane thief, and Ogma kills the other thief for exp. WRYSS heals Macellen and gains Magic, holy shit. Castor feeds a ballista to Bord so he can reach A Axes before Marth seizes.

Stats:

Marth Lv. 7.17 Lord 23HP/9Str/0Mgc/6Skl/11Spd/11Lck/7Def/0Res C Swords (1 Boots)

Jeigan Lv. --/5.57 Paladin 22HP/8Str/1Mgc/11Skl/10Spd/2Lck/11Def/6Res D Swords A Lances

Ogma Lv. 14/1.40 Hero 37HP/15Str/1Mgc/22Skl/18Spd/6Lck/13Def/3Res A Swords E Axes (1 Energy Drop)

Castor Lv. 14/1.19 Horseman 29HP/13Str/0Mgc/10Skl/14Spd/5Lck/10Def/3Res E Swords B Bows

Hardin Lv. 13/6.63 Paladin 42HP/19Str/1Mgc/16Skl/21Spd/5Lck/12Def/7Res D Swords A Lances ( 1 Angelic Robe, 1 Speedwing)

Rickard Lv. 1.00 Thief Base

Macellen Lv. 3.22 Fighter Base

Boah Lv. --/1.55 Sage 22HP/3Str/7Mgc/7Skl/10Spd/4Lck/5Def/6Res B Tomes D Staves ( 1 Spirit Dust)

Midia Lv. --/1.52 Paladin Base

Astram Lv. --/1.20 Hero Base

Chapter 14: 6/103

Reclassed Ogma to Berserker and gave him the Arms Scroll to reach C Axes so that he could ORKO thwomps with the Hammer. Had to get the Sniper in the treasure room to roll down on defense so that Hardin could ORKO it with a Hand Axe.

Astram crit-blicks the Ballista with the Levin Sword forge, then Ogma, Bord, and Hardin kill the thwomps on the right side. Castor, Boah, and Wrys go left to deal with the archers. Midia and Jeigan follow Hardin. Turn two Hardin opens the door to the treasure room after getting healed by Wrys so he can tank the Sniper and kill it. Ogma and Bord kill one of the thwomps, while the one that attacked Astram last turn gets killed by DANK MAGE MACELLEN. Castor starts killing archers while getting healed by Boah and Wrys.

Nothing really happens between then and reaching the boss, who is a bit of a pain. Hardin needs to hit him at least once with the Hand Axe on enemy phase at like 56 hit, and depending on if he hit twice or just once, Jeigan can chip him with the Silver Lance to let Hardin finish him off, or Hardin can just do it himself if he hit with the Hand Axe twice, which he did during the successful run. Marth also tanks a knight in the throne room, and Marth, sick of being called a scrub, crits the poor thwomp out of existence for a ton of exp. Astram buys some effective weaponry from the shop while Bord and Ogma kill the whitewings for exp. Rickard got the Silver Card and Midia got the gold using a Master Key.

Chapter 15: 5/108

Reclassed Castor to GENERAL for memes, and also OHKOing a mage with a Silver Bow to avoid taking damage. Yes I could have gone Warrior but General is funnier.

Anyway, Hardin and Jeigan go up and murder stuff (Jeigan doubles the mages cause they're weighed down lol), Everyone else goes with Marth to deal with the Dracoknights. Boah finally gets his chance to shine here by OHKOing all of the Dracoknights, baiting one on Turn 2, and another on Turn 4. Bord baits the other one in range on Turn 2 since he gets doubled by it, but he can survive being doubled thankfully since javelins have pretty low might. Jeigan goes shopping for some weapons and some healing staves using the newly acquired Silver Card.

Chapter 16: 6/114

Return of the amazing Berserker Ogma. Gave Ogma the Goddess Icon to lower the chance of him killing himself with the Devil Axe. Hardin goes down to open the door equipped with a javelin, Ogma moves in across the ocean, and everyone moves down. The 3 Dracoknights get baited to attack Hardin, who leaves it on like 3 HP, Boah, who Excaliburs it out of existence, and GENERAL CASTOR, who gets doubled but takes like no damage. The two Heroes get killed by Hardin on enemy phase cause he's just that swole. Bord and Castor finish off the still living Dracoknights. Ogma baits a Horseman, Hardin moves around the side of the prison, Marth recruits Xane, who ends up dying as bait to let Bord get some juicy Horseman kills. Hardin kills the cavs down south while Ogma, Bord, and Astram slowly clear out the Horsemen, getting Bord like 3 levels in the process. Ogma and Hardin team up to kill the boss, although Ogma can ORKO him with the Hammer, chipping him with Hand Axe Hardin and then finishing him off with Ogma lets me avoid having to deal with the boss getting a crit. Boah hit C Staves as a Sage.

After this Bord finally promotes! Rejoice!

Chapter 17: 3/117

Reclassed Hardin to Swordmaster. Ogma and Bord go Hero. Castor goes back to Horseman.

Castor kills the VIP Card dude, while Marth opens the door to let Ogma and Bord inside, blocking off Marth from being attacked by anything except the Swarm Bishop. Astram lines up against the wall to bait a mage away from Ogma and Bord, since they used Pure Water to survive the Fortify Bishop/make the Swarm Bishop attack Marth so they don't die. Next turn is just clearing out half-dead enemies. Jeigan chips the Swarm Bishop to feed to Marth. Hardin kills the boss with the Wyrmslayer on Turn 3, and Jeigan goes shopping at the secret shop for some Poleaxes and Killer weapons. Astram has C Axes as a Warrior/Berserker now.

Chapter 17x: 8/125

Welp. Marth can reach the throne in exactly 7 full moves, but problem is some mercs in the throne room block his path on the penultimate turn, and there's not enough dudes close enough to kill both the mercs and the boss to let Marth seize. Other than that, the Steel Axe Hero was THE WORST, cause he doubles and ORKOs Marth, so Marth needs to dodge him once. Marth is also 1 strength short of OHKOing the Hero with a Killing Edge crit too, Marth so bad. In other news, Ogma reached C Axes as a Hero, Wrys capped his level, and Macellan got his first and probably only level of the draft. Yay.

Chapter 18: 6/131

Hardin goes south and murders stuff, while the rest of the squad goes with Marth. Everyone helps clear out stuff the next few turns. Hardin needs to dodge some stuff because the Physic Staff broke last chapter so RIP reliability. Since Hardin is so close to death, I have Bord and Ogma kill the boss instead, with a Hand Axe from Bord followed up by Ogma with the Poleaxe, with Ogma once again getting strength but not speed, come on dude, you're like 5/18 for speed procs. Marth got fed a Paladin and a cavalier for a level. Midia bought some more Vulneraries since I was pretty much out of them.

WRYS HAS NOW PROMOTED

Chapter 19: 5/136

Gave Ogma the second Speedwing to double and ORKO mercs.

Hardin, Ogma, and Bord went up to procted Marth on his way to the throne, Hardin being pogchamp and ORKOing Heroes because he's just that good. Ogma sadly, cannot double the Heroes even with the Speedwing, so he needs to Killing Edge crit one out of the way on Turn 2 enemy phase. Other than that it was pretty simple. Marth takes a Pure Water and then ORKOs a mage in the throne room (yeah, Marth ORKOing something, I'm shocked too) before getting healed by WRYS with Fortify so he could tank the other mage. Midia and Astram went off to get some treasure. Astram got the Angelic Robe and the Geosphere, Midia got the Bolganone and the gold. Rickard got the Spirit Dust for Boah to snort. Castor killed the Starsphere thief on the last turn. Tiki fell to the power of Steel Sword Hardin, RIP in Forsetti, never forgetti.

Chapter 20: 5/141

Ogma went back to Berserker. Forged the absolutely absurd +7 might, +15 hit Ridersbane aptly named "Overkill" in order to OHKO the almighty Camus, cause no one can double him. I actually mis-calculated and +6 might would have been enough for this given Hardin's strength, but oh well.

This was a pretty fun chapter. Everybody had something to do except Rickard. Bord crossed the river to chip the thwomp so that Marth could finish it off with the Levin Sword. Ogma killed the other thwomp with the Hammer. Hardin killed the ballista near the thwomps. Turn 2 was the most hectic with the three Paladins up north and two down south charging at me, and no one besides Hardin can double them. So Bord + Midia teamed up to kill one Paladin, and Marth + Jeigan killed another one. Had to give the kills to Jeigan and Midia cause they get ORKOed otherwise if the Paladins don't die. Hardin just OHKOed the last one by himself. Souther ones were scary cause everyone good was up north, so Ogma went back down to tank one of them and Astram tanked the other one. Ogma and Boah finished off the chipped Paladins next turn. Hardin then OHKOed Camus to get him out of the way, and it was pretty simple after that. Hardin chipped Lorenz with a Hand Axe to feed him to Bord so Bord could level up (HP + strength level, what a surprise). Midia + Jeigan killed the Devil Sword thief, while Astram and Boah killed the last two Paladins down south and also fed the ballista to Boah as well. Macellan was the real MVP by visiting the shop to burn RNs so that Midia and Bord wouldn't miss with their effective weapons.

Chapter 20x: 6/147

Pretty easy. Sent Castor, WRYS, and Boah to the left, having Castor tank a cav each turn so Wrys could heal him to gain staff rank so he can have A Staves as a Sage. He was like 1 staff use short at the end of the chapter though. Boah reached A Tomes as a Sage, so that's hype. Hardin went off and killed the Manakete and Ymir so Rickard could get the chests up there. Everyone else went with Marth, who got fed like 2 enemies and chipped another one for a bunch of exp. Used GRADIVUS JEIGAN to chip stuff to feed to Marth. Midia and Astram actually helped out, since Astram could ORKO thwomps with the Hammer and Midia could OHKO Paladins with the "Overkill" from last chapter. Bord got SPEED. Ogma reached A Swords as a Horseman.

Chapter 21: 3/150

Oh man, for such a short chapter this took some effort. Reclassed Hardin to Paladin and gave him the second Angelic Robe to not die while murdering most of the Paladins on Turn 1.

Hardin went up and used a Pure Water. He kills a mage, the Sniper, and 3 Paladins on enemy phase. Bord and Ogma park themselves in range of the thwomps so they'll attack them over Hardin. Boah and Warrior Castor park themselves in range of Dracoknights on opposite sides of the map, and everyone else moves up. Boah kills the Dracoknight with Excalibur, Castor exactly OHKOs his Dracoknight with the Steel Bow forge from way back in Chapter 7. Ogma and Bord kill the thwomps, and Hardin kills all of the other enemies in range.

Turn 2, Wrys uses Recover on Hardin to bring him back to full HP, then Hardin goes up within range of the boss and kills a Paladin with Gradivus. The other Paladin that didn't die last turn gets OHKOed by Jeigan with the "Overkill". Castor kills the other Dracoknight near him that moved down near Midia. Ogma moves up and kills the other mage near the boss with a Steel Bow. Marth tanks a javelin Dracoknight on enemy phase and the boss gets killed by Hardin.

On Turn 3, Ogma and Bord do a stupidly elaborate amount of chip damage to the javelin Dracoknight so I can kill it with DANK MAGE MACELLAN, who got speed again. Gotta go fast. Midia then gets all of the stat boosters from the secret shop, and Wrys heals Bord to reach A Staves as a Sage.

Chapter 22: 8/158

Gave Hardin 1 Energy Drop, 2 Secret Books, and 3 Goddess Icons. Gave Castor 1 Secret Book. Gave Boah 3 Spirit Dusts. Gave Marth and Bord each 1 Speedwing so they wouldn't get doubled by fliers. Forged a +5 might, +10 hit Hand Axe for Hardin to use since it lets him ORKO even the bulkiest of the Dracoknights.

So basically Hardin got way ahead and murdered most of the enemies. On about Turn 3 he, Ogma, and Bord formed a wall to make it so that Marth could only be attacked by one Pegasus Knight, and then everyone killed the rest of the enemies. Then there's about 4 turns of Marth walking to the throne after getting Starlight with everything already dead except Michalis, who I fed to Ogma instead of Hardin since Hardin can't really gain much from levels anymore at this point.

Chapter 23: 7/165

Marth, Hardin, and Castor went up to the throne room, while everyone else went right to deal with Gharnef and his goon squad. Pure Water!Ogma cleared out pretty much all of the mages by Gharnef on his own, and baited Gharnef into moving so that BOAH could kill him with a Starlight crit next turn. Marth and Hardin used Pure Water so that the Swarm Bishops in the throne room would attack Astram and Castor instead, allowing Marth to reach the throne unscathed. Castor then killed a fake Gharnef and the boss while Hardin went around killing the enemies with droppable items.

Chapter 24: 4/169

Forged a +4 might, +15 hit Dragon Pike. Promoted Elice.

So MACELLAN used the Geosphere to chip all of these manaketes, and then Hardin goes down and OHKOs the boss after Boah uses Barrier on him. He then kills most of the manaketes near the boss and tanks the Snipers. Turns 2 and 3 have Hardin getting healed by Elice and WRYS while Marth and co. slowly walk across the mountain. Ogma gets over and kills a Manakete and chips one of the Snipers down to 4 HP, letting Marth kill it with the forged Levin Sword. Castor kills a Bishop and reaches A Bows as a Warrior, although that doesn't actually matter. I beat the chapter so fast that I forgot to go to the secret shop lol, and by the time I remembered the game was over so shrugs.

Endgame: 4/173

Well this was a bit of a pain. Gave Ogma the remaining stat boosters to cap his strength and speed. Undeployed Midia and Astram since there's nowhere safe for them to be deployed. Had the staffbots with Marth, Ogma/Castor/Hardin in the lower left, and the rest in the top left.

Had Bord and Jeigan use the rest of the Geosphere, Hardin killed the ballista in range of the staffbots and Ogma and Castor moved up. Gotoh took Excalibur to crit-blick a Paladin on enemy phase. Rickard tanks a Pachyderm and dies on enemy phase, while Castor gets brought down to like 2 HP by a Bishop. Turn 2 Boah and Gotoh pass Swarm around to chip stuff for Ogma and Castor to kill. Hardin tanks the enemies coming from up north, OHKOing the Paladins with the "Overkill" since he can't double then as a Dracoknight. Dank Mage Macellan tanks Pachyderm and dies so that Bord can tank the Levin Sword Hero. Elice and Wrys keep using Fortify. Turn 3 is more of the same, except I've run out of scrubs to sack to the Pachyderm ballista so Bord just has to tank it, using a Pure Water to get the Levin Sword Hero to attack Jeigan instead. Hardin moves in and exactly OHKOs Medeus with a Gradvius crit on Turn 4, which is why he needed to go Dracoknight over Paladin. Thanks lack of Lightsphere.

C1 6/6 turns

Used Cain as freebie. Did a bumrush and killed the boss with Jagen + Cain + Jagen + Shiida. Gordin died. Cain should've died too because Gazzak doubles him, but he got lucky and dodged a hit. Got Wrys, but not the money.

C2 5/11 turns

Shiida got the Javelin on turn 1 and she, Silver Lance!Jagen and Marth killed the nearby Fighter. Barst killed the Fighter from the island above the start on EP1+PP2. EP1, Jagen brought a Fighter below half HP so Jav!Shiida and Marth can finish off. Marth then swapped Shiida to Wing Spear and took the kill with Rapier. Jagen got healed by Wrys + Vulnerary. Abel was sent down to bait a Pirate and die on turn 3 to bait him away from the main action. Shiida also recruited Castor on turn 3, who died to bait 2 pirates away while Marth blocked the Hunter from attacking Shiida. Turn 4, Cord got sacrificed to again bait 2 pirates and Jagen + Shiida killed the hunter, both of them being able to survive a Pirate hit so the pirate would go for Cord instead (Shiida got healed by Wrys, who was then protected by a small wall of units). Wrys then got the map save on turn 5, Jagen crit Gomer and Marth seized.

C3 7/18 turns

Got the Devil Axe on turn 2. Turn 3, Barst tanked 2 fighters and Shiida the third. One of the Hunters started moving on turn 3. Turn 4, Jagen and Shiida finished off a Fighter each and Marth + Barst killed the Hunter, Barst using a Hand Axe and Marth a Steel Sword. The third fighter was surrounded by undrafted goons. Turn 5, the other Fighter was killed by Shiida and the second Hunter was killed by Jagen + Barst. Turn 6, Barst, Jagen, Marth and Ogma entered the boss area. Turn 7, Shiida recruited Navarre, who attacked Draug on EP. This allowed him to trade the Killing Edge to Draug and take a Steel Sword from him to grab a Thief kill after Shiida's Javelin chip. Draug then gave Ogma the KE and I did the KE crit + Devil hit bosskill. Barst got a perfect level.

C3 redo 7/18 turns

Same strategy really, except I kept Lena alive so I can recruit Matthis. Barst still got his ridiculous second Def proc. I don't know what's going on with Shiida either, she got 3 str procs and I didn't even rig one.

C4 7/25 turns

Got Merric to recruit Wendell next chapter. Forged a +3 mt, +10 crit wing spear named 5_0. Used CavNav and Peg!Lena to recruit Matthis, the rest remained in their original classes. Shiida facetanked a Cav on turn 2 and Jagen two others, with 5_0 and Silver Lance respectively. Turn 3, Lena recruited Matthis, Jagen blocked the bridge and Navarre + Matthis killed one of Jagen's Cavs (Matthis needed to take a Steel Lance Marth bought on turn 2), Barst the other. Shiida OHKOed the 5th cav.

Turn 4, Barst attacked the bridge Knight with Hand Axe and almost killed him on EP. Jagen and Matthis baited the Archers to the left. Turn 5, Shiida killed the Knight, Barst Devil Axe'd the archer down and Jagen and Matthis softened up Matthis' Archer. Lena got sacked to bait the second Horseman, the first one attacked Barst. Navarre used the map save on turn 4 and then tanked the Hunter so he doesn't get too close later on. Barst chipped Bentheon so Shiida can kill him, had Barst missed a Javelin from Jagen or a crit from Shiida would also have been enough.

C5 4/29 turns

Forged a +4 mt, +7 hit Steel Axe named Silver Axe?. I don't want to rely on 75% chance devil axe hits too often, so this will be useful. Used all of the wolfguard to draw a Cav, the Peg Knight and the Archer to the left. Only Roshea ended up dying. Devil Axe!Barst and Ridersbane!Jagen separately baited two Cavs on turn 1, which Navarre and Matthis killed next turn.

Turn 2, Jagen baited the moving Knights into the mountain range to the right of the castle so Marth is safe on turn 3. Matthis attacked a Thief on turn 3 and finished him off with help from Wendell on turn 4. Jagen bought Javelins and a Hand Axe on turn 4 and Shiida crit the boss, using the map save she used on turn 3 to rig the crit.

C6 8/37 turns

Reclassed Wendell to Draco, Jagen to Pally, Wolf to General and Matthis to Curate. Forged a +2 Steel Lance named Bope Lance.

Turn 1, everyone moved forward, with Shiida being within the Knight's range to ORKO him on EP. Navarre used the map save at the end of turn 1 because I don't have time to use it later anyway and my strat is pretty unreliable.

Turn 2, Wolf choked the point, Matthis healed Shiida and Shiida, Jagen and Wendell ORKOed the Knight, Mage and Archer at the end of the hallway, Bope Lance exactly allowing Wendell to ORKO the level 1 Archers.

Turn 3, Navarre and Wendell weakened the Thieves going for the Physic and Armorslayer. Navarre was within range of the right Pillar!Archer and Wendell was blocking the Seraph Robe!Thief's way up so he has to take a detour.

Turn 4, Navarre killed the Armorslayer!Thief and Jagen and Hand Axe!Barst killed the Archer Navarre baited. Shiida OHKOed the Knight in the two-archer group and Wendell ORKOed the remaining Archer, only having 67 hit due to the pillar. Marth went within range of the first Knight in the boss area.

Turn 5, Jagen and Wendell chipped Marth's Knight so Marth can finish off. Jagen placed himself within range of the boss area Knight + Archer duo at the same time, having enough HP to tank them because Matthis healed him on turn 3. Barst OHKOed the Seraph Robe!Thief with Devil Axe and Navarre killed the Physic!Thief.

Turn 6, everyone down there finished off the Archer + Knight duo from the boss area. Barst went within range of the Silver Lance!Cav (fortunately the chokepoint is shaped such that the Silver Lance!Cav is forced to wait one tile above the Iron Lance one, which enables this strategy). EP, Barst counterattacked him with the Silver Axe?.

Turn 7, Wendell killed the boss area Mage and Shiida and Marth killed the Archer. Jagen went next to the other map save and Navarre went to the right, preparing to get the Bullion (S). Barst finished off his Cav.

Turn 8, Barst gave the Master Key to Jagen and used the map save. Shiida 5_0'd the boss and Jagen gave the Master Key to Navarre so he can get the Bullion.

C7 6/50 turns

Reclassed Navarre and Matthis to archers. Forged a +1 mt iron bow named Rubber Bow to get 2 extra kills for Navarre.

Turn 1, everyone moved ahead. Turn 2, Marth still fullmoved and Wolf and Wendell shielded him from the Dracoknight, with Wendell equipping Thunder so Navarre can pick up the kill. Barst tanked the two Pegasus Knight. Turn 3, Matthis chipped the DK and Navarre exactly took the kill with Rubber Bow. Shiida and Barst killed the peg knights and Jagen and Wolf the Thief. Marth fullmoved again.

Turn 4, Marth fullmoved towards the right side of the castle, Jagen blocked the Ridersbane!Cav fort and Wolf the nearby one, with Barst behind him to attract the Jav!Cav reinforcement since Barst doesn't have +15 avo from the fort. EP, Marth and Barst tanked the reinforcement cavs. Barst retaliated with Hand Axe and finished him off with Devil Axe on turn 5 after Wolf moved off the fort. Jagen finished off Marth's Cav and Shiida blocked the right-most fort. EP5, Wolf tanked 3 Jav/Ridersbane enemies that had 45 hit, he only had to dodge one.

Shiida crit the boss and Barst and Wolf got a kill each on turn 6. Navarre and Matthis killed Whitewings on turns 4-6. Rubber Bow's mt had to help with the Minerva kill.

C8 5/55 turns

Brute-forced my way through it. Roger get. Killed some horsemen for exp, Shiida got the bosskill and Radd bought some weapons and items, but no Wing Spear since I think the 5_0 will carry me just far enough.

C9 5/60 turns

Used Sniper!Wendell. Barst went through the water and baited Pirates so Myrm!Navarre can kill them, made use of the levin sword for that. Radd got the Bullion (M). Did a weird bosskill, Shiida did 8*2 with the Bope Lance to Mannu and had to dodge the counter at 61 hit, Jagen then had to hit with Javelin at 64 hit and Barst finished the job with Devil Axe.

C10 8/68 turns

Went up the left and used Radd to bait the Dracoknights away.

C11 9/77 turns

Shiida, Wendell and Jagen charged the boss area on turn 4, with Shiida killing the Horseman and Jagen + Wendell (with a +4 Javelin named Bopespear) killed Jake. Shiida stayed unpromoted.

C12 6/83 turns

Wendell got the boots, Speedwings!JavCavNav took on the sniper and gained some more exp. Barst got promoted for some instant utility since there's no way he would've been a key player past midgame.

C12x 4/87 turns

Actually got Horace without trying to because my fliers weren't very good offensively and Navarre wasn't promoted yet. Ended up sacrificing Shiida, RIP Lorenz.

C13 3/90 turns

Wendell took on the upper ballistae (killing just the mobile one), while Jagen, Wolf and Barst took on the lower ones. Navarre got promoted and got an Arms Scroll for Silver Lance access. He wreaked havoc from this point on.

C14 8/98 turns

Got Catria and Palla. Pretty trivial, bought a lot of weapons with the silver card.

C15 5/103 turns

Again, pretty easy with Catria and Palla, especially with the Bopespear.

C16 6/109 turns

This one, on the other hand, was pretty tricky. Had to insta-open the door and rig a Killer crit with Navarre on EP while promoted Palla baited the Levin Sword!Hero through the wall. Forged a Ridersbane to kill horsebois, which helped a lot to kill the 2-range enemies in the boss area that don't end up moving down.

C17 3/112 turns

Yeah.

C17x 7/119 turns

Promoted Catria. This was actually kind of tricky, but I managed. Ended up needing this prostrat to block the Merc from Marth (he could survive the Cav despite being total garbage):

Spoiler

De60XLc.png

C18 6/125 turns

Not too hard with Navarre and Navarre!Xane. The Horsemen still have Steel Bows so they were just child's play to deal with.

C19 5/130 turns

Got the Bullion XL, Seraph Robe and Geosphere. I used Draco!Navarre, but it would've actually been more reliable had he been a Swordmaster since he would've doubled the Heroes. Missed opportunity, but oh well.

C20 5/135 turns

Navarre just baited Camoof on turn 2 and let the Gradivus carnage begin asap.

C20x 6/141 turns

Peanuts.

C21 3/144 turns

Forged a +2 Hammer so Wolf can kill Generals. Navarre (with Starsphere and Gradivus) positioned himself to kill 2 Paladins and all 3 left Dracoes on EP. Marth went up in a straight line. Jagen attracted one General, Wolf killed two and General!Barst baited the second Paladin, counting from the right, while the right-most one automatically moved towards him. Turn 2, Navarre killed the central Paladin and Catria the right mage. Marth just kept moving straight up as if left and right don't exist, like a real centrist. Bought the shop empty.

C22 8/152 turns

Some more Gradivus carnage. Last chapter with Starsphere, Navarre had to transfer it to Marth on turn 4 to avoid C24x. Overall it was pretty easy regardless, although even Navarre and Xane had to be careful with the Silver Bow!Horsemen. Bought some Recover staves and promoted Matthis after the chapter to use them.

C23 7/159 turns

Used the Geo trick with the map save to rig a bottom-right Gharnef. Wendell with 3 spirit dusts chipped him on EP6 and he and Xane finished him off (they 3HKOed with Starlight) on turn 7. Jagen and Wolf baited the Swarms away from Marth, Catria, Navarre and Palla, who rushed up the hallway.

C24 4/163 turns

Forged a +6 Dragonpike so Navarre can OHKO Dragons, so I can just face the chapter head-on instead of using baitstrats. Bought the shop empty again.

Endgame 4/167 turns

Geosphere: the game. Navarre Gradivoo'd Medeoo. Ended up routing it and doing this:

Garbage. Garbage with boots I guess.

He was really important before Catria and Palla joined and still did a lot afterwards. Not many knights would be this capable in their 60s, bases > growths.

This was an accident, but I don't care anyway. She's really important in the earlygame on higher difficulties and the C12x limitation works perfectly to avoid breaking the game.

Great in the early- and midgame. Filler in lategame, but what would you expect when Gradivus and Starsphere are available? Great unit.

He carried me hard from the moment he promoted to the end of the game. Still pretty useful early on by virtue of being a Cavalier.

w44Uvb3.pngxSuGk1V.png

Pretty useful actually. He was worth the pick just for his staff utility.

SGf6Fnx.pngBBEtF7s.png

Great unit. He was good as a prepromoted combat unit early on and afterwards he was constantly available for Excalibur and Physic utility (as well as generic staves).

Helped a lot early by being prepromoted. Filler mid- and lategame.

Did pretty little, got killed because I didn't have more Physic users at hand in Endgame.

qqUgHV2.png

Did even less. He died by accident because I forgot that he was in Gharnef's range. Thanks for baiting Minerva's squad in C10 I guess.

Very good unit to help out Navarre in the lategame. Her Speed growth actually makes me prefer her to Palla in this game.

She was also pretty useful thanks to her early promotion and high Str and lance rank.

Without a dancer he definitely lags behind more often, but he was still crucial to a lot of clears.

He made my Geosphere strat possible since he was my only Fortify user. Pretty good unit.

Also, Horace actually has 1B and 1W in Epilogue because he killed Shiida. Lol.

Overall, this ruleset is pretty nice since it avoids meatshielding, the main thing that trivialized a lot of FE11 draft strats. The gaiden patch is a good idea simply because it avoids all the fuss with having to avoid the gaiden chapters or getting free grinding there. The maps actually aren't trivial to LTC, although they aren't that exciting either. We could try it on H5 eventually.
