The only explanation I can come up with is that in the heat of a battle, she gets covered in blood; but despite this, she will continue to run around quickly. Her weapon in Sacred Stones, the Shamshir, is basically the Magvel-equivalent of the Wo Dao. So combine that with her speed, and enemies would see a "crimson flash" when they get attacked.
