Vampire nonsense interest check

Hey, I'm the GM for the SRW RP here on SF. I'm not stopping that one by any means, but I have a bug that needs written, and I'm checking to see if people are interested. I'm working out the details right now, and have the basic gist of what I want accomplished written down:

The continent of Malaketh is a storied and old place, showcase to the trials of several races, the wars of many kingdoms, and the magicks of sages long past. Its most recent trouble is about to rear its head, as an old ritual aims to destroy half of all life living there.

Our confrontation starts somewhere as old as the continent itself. The ancient feuds of vampires and humans, humans being used as feed for the creatures to live, crusades being organized to drive them out of their homes. As time passed, humans were no longer preyed upon, vampires were no longer hunted. Vampires found it easier to raise livestock than to hunt and start war, and humans, no longer the victims of such attacks, felt no need to risk another fallout. The races entered a tense peace, that lasted several centuries...

All good things change as time flows, and this false peace began to die off. Vampires would raid convoys, take supplies, feast as they wished. Humans retaliated, crusading into their keeps and burning the lot. Tensions rose properly once again, as these attacks escalated from convoys and keeps, to cities and castles. It seemed like they were on the cusp of an all out war, once again, but suddenly and without warning, the vampires stopped fighting back, all retreating and leaving the humans to their dealings.

Behind these creatures sat their old king, Aamon, troubled by the loss of his people. It was his lack of proper rule that set these things in motion, ignoring the initial confrontations, assuming them simply rogue elements... His age had gotten to him, the passage of time something so trifling now, that when things moved as quickly as they did, he could not keep up.

There was no going back now, though. No claim for peace would work twice, yet he couldn't stand by again, and watch as everyone died. So he devised a plan.

The ancient texts spoke of a ritual. Sacrifice of one pure blooded vampire, one whose bloodline still ran back to the old kings, millenniums past. Doing so with all the proper magicks set in place, would usher in a constant night over the continent, and not just night. A blood night, the moon run red, the powers, senses and hunger of all vampires increasing tenfold. With such power behind them, they could wipe the humans off the continent, and finally see to the end of all this. No future family would have to suffer wars, no longer would anyone have to feign peace... And night would rule.

Far and away from Aamon's castle, princess Almira runs, aided by her most trusted confidant, Misea. Having learned of her father's plans, they have escaped in a desperate bid to find their own old magick. What Almira didn't learn, was that she was to be the tool in his ritual to bring things to a close, and so they are dogged at every turn, guards from the castle or hired mercenaries chasing them to no end.At the end of their rope, without anyone else to turn to, they turn to what they have left: gold. Hooded and gloved, disguised as best they could, they enter a tavern in the remote human village of Tarask. Almira doesn't wish to get anyone else hurt in this endeavor, but Misea knows they can't continue on without aid. Gaining help will be difficult, and the humans they gather are most certainly destined to perish... But if they do not, all human life stands to perish.

If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know! I'm only taking on five to six people at most, I want it to be a tiny fun thing, and the stats involved will more than likely be based on Fire Emblem for ease of use. Just hit the thread with a "yeah sure sounds cool", and anything else you might wanna add.

Name: Astrid Raskkron
Sex: Female
Race: Vampire
Age: 76
Blood Type: O-

Backstory - An eccentric vampiric noble of the border plains of Svarljearn, Countess Astrid Raskkron's childhood was fairly ordinary. Attend the parties and other such pastimes of nobility, build a rapport with other houses whom the heads of house deemed fit to ally with... it was rather droll, really. But the chance to mingle with such beautiful people... ah, it was all made up for with that. From an early age, the young Astrid found herself fascinated with those who would be considered beautiful, she wanted to speak with them, be near them, perhaps even get a chance to touch them. As disinterested as she was with her family's motives for the visits, spending time with the well-kept children of Dukes and Earls never ceased to be a high point for the young vampire.

Unfortunately, those visits would come to a tumultuous end. With the passing of her father leaving the 35 years young Astrid the sole heiress of house Raskkron, the young Countess had little time to make personal visits, too stricken by grief and mourning, all the while needing to tend to her volatile border realm. The beautiful allure of high society all but lost to her, the young Countess took to more... eccentric pastimes. Taking a personal trip to a human dwelling, she found the residents rather striking... more rustic than the beauty she had known, but no less admirable. A village lass with a remarkable vest for life, a young labourer's toned physique... she had not considered it before, but these humans too, held their own unique beauty as well.

She had collected many things in her formative years... dolls, jewelry, that which caught her eye... who was to say that these humans could not too be things for her to collect and admire at her leisure? The first was surprisingly easy. A curious and adventurous maiden was all too easily allured by the vampire Countess, taken to her abode for a night of merriment and pleasure. A night that would not end for many nights to come. These humans, they added a zest to her life that had been missing since the whimsy of her childhood had passed.

That first girl, Marie... she held a special place for her part, and was lovingly converted into a vampire. The start of a collection of servants and lovers that would swell for the next fourty years. Her favourites would become vampires, live alongside their master and mistress, untouched by time just as she was. For all of her eccentricities, one could not claim she did not treat her conquests well... those who wished to leave were free to after giving a sample of blood and body, many a single night of passion all they ever knew of her abode, but as tales spread, Astrid found herself never short of the adventurous sort, coming straight to her doors to offer themselves up to the pursuit of pleasure and depravity, so long as they could overcome their fears.

Her attachment to humans was always considered odd amongst the vampiric nobility... understandably so. However, she managed to keep them occupied at the border even through her odd means, and it was of little concern to them how she acquired her toys and drank her blood. A reliable, if strange piece on the board with little contact from other noble houses... until an order came from the royal family.

Recapture the Princess. A simple thing, yet with so much possibility... a pure blooded royal, one who had been locked away for so much of her life? A beauty like that simply had to be witnessed... she didn't particularly enjoy the idea of sacrificing such a thing, but to find her? Yes, she could certainly do that...

Appearance - Pale skinned as to be expected from a vampire, the lush ring curls framing her face were originally a snow white, later tinted a gentle rosy pink by Astrid's own volition. The original dyeing job was somewhat botched, streaks of a more vivid pink running throughout, but as she's stuck with it for years at this point, it appears to have been a personal hit. Her eyes a blood red, lips always painted to match, Astrid leaves a rather charming visage, her features on the soft side without overly much sharpness to her. Standing at 5'9", she leans towards the taller side, attempts to keep lean and athletic somewhat thwarted by overindulgence, though not overly so. Frequent use has left her fangs prominent, evidently displaying themselves unless a concerted effort is given to hide them. Has a fondness for simplistic dresses over the fancier garb most nobles might prefer.

Well, here's kind of a haphazard, slapdash treatment.

Name: Wilhelmina Murray
Race: Sillynon Human
Age: 19
Blood Type: A+

History: Mina's best friend Lucy had always been a sleepwalker, so there had been little surprise when she hadn't been in her bed the morning that was supposed to have been her wedding. The sense of normality quickly fell off when she still hadn't shown her face even much later in the day, as the hour of the ceremony rapidly approached. The appointed time came and went, and eventually the town mounted a search, but it was brief and resulted in no leads. Concerned, during the following days she and another mutual friend from their childhood, Jonathon, made plans to engage in a much more thorough investigation, not stopping until she was found, but he became stricken with brain fever and is now recuperating. That means this resourceful elementary teacher has to try to manage things on her own. Thankfully school is not in session.

Personality: A quick-witted and clever girl, Mina has the pluck to do what needs to get done. She's well studied, of course, and always eager to learn more. Steadfast and resolute, she starts this journey a person of incredible moral fiber. But how will she fare during the trials to come?

Appearance: Her hair is a dark grey, an almost steely color, which has been a source of lament for her, not nearly so pretty as any of the other girls'. She's tried various different fashions over the years, hoping to make something work, but at this point has pretty much given up on it, leaving it grow long and straight. Pale blue eyes accompany often rosy cheeks, and a somewhat aquiline nose rounds out her facial features. An average 5'6" was more than enough to seem imposing to the children she worked with at her job, but whether it will serve her well enough out on the road is anyone's guess. At least she's fairly athletic and rather sturdy, traits that should come in hand, though she had once lamented them, pining instead after Lucy's more delicate and refined figure.

Time to do... something.

Name: Alexandra Ylving
Race: Human (Reman)
Sex: Female
Class: Sword Soldier
Age: 23
Blood Type: A-

History: Alex's family was a rather traditional, big Reman family, her father was a farmer, as it were the family trade, and through generations they had become rather influential to their community, suppliers of produce and food that came to be the backbone of their growing town in northern Reman. The Ylvings came to be known as the 'rich family' of their town region, presiding even political influence over the modest town's decisions.

As the third eldest among her seven siblings, Alex had very little interest in her father's trade. Figuring him already set with her eldest brother as successor, and too many hired hands giving their home a busy feeling, Alex had her sights set in other future prospects Particularly, she had interest in following her second elder brother's steps: becoming a mercenary and moving onto Silnynon, a new thrill, and a way to hone her skills. Despite her father's protests, Alex, with the support of her elder brother, saved a fair amount of money, and made her way to Silnynon by boat.

Appearance:
Alex is honestly unimpressive for her age, short and stocky at 5'02", cheeks usually dirtied with dust and sand, and disheveled red hair that reaches a bit past her shoulders. She has clear green eyes, a rather plain, country-girl kind of face, and is physically rather fit. In contrast to her unremarkable appearance, the plate-and-chain-mail getup Alex wears is polished and well-kept, almost a source of pride. On the rare occasions she is not wearing her armor, Alex is likely still wearing the blue tunic, beige pants, and leather boots she dresses underneath.

Name: Sephtis Tahm
Race: Silnynon
Sex: Male
Class: Edge Ninja
Age: 17
Blood Type: AB+
Affinity: (Hell)Fire

History:
The Tahm family was a secretive group that lived near the border of Silnynon and Gorletsia. They were trained vampire hunters, meant to keep the innocents of the land safe. They had started this at the height of the ancient vampire wars and had earned plenty of renown for their skills. Their talents were passed down through generations, using their tricks of arcane magics mixed with the technology that started to come into being to eliminate their deadly enemies. As the vampire threat had faded, many people had whispered that the need for such a family was no longer necessary but the Tahm family kept training their skills in secret. When the vampires had started to attack again, they brought their skills back out of the shadows. The vampires were the threat they saw. They never expected a threat to come from somewhere else.

Those around the Tahm family appreciated their efforts. They knew that they were kept safe from rogue vampires by the Tahm family. But there were others who felt differently. The countries leaders especially viewed both their popularity and insistance on only attacking those vampires who crossed into Silnynon to attack humans as dangerous. One day, as the warriors of the family slept to prepare for the night ahead, disguised soldiers snuck in and slaughtered the entire family. The only one left alive was Sephtis, a young boy who had wandered away into a nearby forest to practice the skills he had just been starting to learn. When he returned, he found his family dead and little to identify their killers. The only telling thing was the bullet wounds indicating that it wasn't vampires who had done this deed. The monsters his family had been hunting had turned out to not be the ones they should have feared. Instead it had been those they had been protecting who were the real monsters. Swearing vengance for his family, he did his best to recover the skills his family had been reknown for. He still had plenty to learn, but he set out, searching for clues as to who was responsible for all of this, promising to still protect those who truly needed it along the way.

Apperance:
Sephtis is what most would consider handsome when he shows his face. He is lanky, almost like he hasn't fully grown into his height yet, but is already 6'1", with tan skin and unruly dark brown hair. He has piercing black eyes, with an angular face and is fit but not overly muscular. He usually wears a plain tunic with tan pants and sturdy boots, with a long scarf that he uses to keep the lower half of his face disguised. He keeps a large pouch at his side that holds a variety of useful items, including a magic tome, and keeps at least one gun on his person at all times.

Name: Glendwr Silver-Steel

Race: Silnynon Human

Sex: Male

Age: 21

Blood Type: O-

Backstory: Experience is hardly the first word that comes to mind when talking about vampire hunters. Many die before they ever successfully slay one, and most of the rest are slain after only a few weeks, mostly from the angry families of their quarry. Glendwr Silver-Steel isn't any regular vampire hunter. Experience in killing the more disreputable of humanity in his time as a mercenary honed his skill in fighting at night and in the fog, a formidable skill to have, and one he had since he was young.

At the age many children became a page for their lieges, bandits attacked the caravan Glendwr was attached to. After a short standoff, many of the wagons burned, and both merchant and marauder lie dead. One remained on either side, one bandit, and Glendwr. The fire upon one of the wagons illuminated the area, when with a stray wagon spoke and the element of surprise, Glendwr slew the last bandit by jamming the spoke through the bandit's eye.

Upon the rooster's crow, a mercenary band led by legendary captain Alfrond Silver-Steel came upon the grief-stricken Glendwr. Upon learning of the boy's ruthless killing of one of the bandit's, Alfrond took the boy as his own son, giving him his last name, and promising that the child's legacy could outlast his own if he lived to be his age. That day, he gave the child a sword, and began teaching him the way of the sword.

All good things must come to an end, however. 10 years and almost to the day his foster father found him crying over his old family, he watched his father look down the barrel of a new rifled musket as it fired. Alfrond still lived as Glendwr plunged his sword through the back of his foster father's murderer, but when it was clear Alfrond was beyond healing, the man asked only that the weapon that killed him be put to use by his son. He then died, and Glendwr was again abandoned.

The weapon, as gleaming as the silver in his name, and carved from the wood of the forest, was easy to learn to use, but not an easy one to master. At first using it to hunt game, and then to hunt unsuspecting bandits, he mastered it enough to seek bounties on vampires. Though the money itself was a reward for many vampire hunters, Glendwr saw it as an opportunity to look into the inner workings of Gorletsia and vampires, things that may not be widely known or once forgotten by man. He wasn't sure if he wanted to associate with the seedier hunters, given that many were zealots, but he knew that some of what they said held weight. With his craft honed as much as it could be in such a short time, he set out to see if fortune did, in fact, favor the bold, and if he could deliver on his foster father's expectations.

Appearance: a brown, broad-brimmed sun hat, a black coat covering him from the collar to the knee, with dark brown hair, green eyes, with a rough but clean shaven face, with bright red pants and black, leathery boots. Stands at a substantial 6'2", with a muscular build.

Surprise?

Name: Lua Virsk
Sex: F
Race: Human (Katchel)
Age: 20
Blood Type: A-

History: Lua's father, a wealthy and successful merchant of Katchel, could never get his only daughter to apply herself. It didn't matter if it was etiquette, spellcasting or her general education - she would always do the minimum and spend the rest of her time bumbling around in the woods and hunting with her friends. He knew that his daughter was capable of so much more, but she had no drive for anything other than slacking off, in his eyes.

Eventually, he decided enough was enough and forced her to accompany one of the merchant ships to Gorletsia. She obviously protested (Vampires? Spooky!) but for once in his life, her father had put his foot down and she really couldn't afford to get cut off. Besides, how bad could it go?

As it turned out: pretty badly. Negotiations went sideways due to a combination of factors (Lua herself being one of them), and with several of their crew bitten Lua and co fled back to their ship. They couldn't make it back to Katchel - they were supposed to negotiate for supplies during their trip - so they hastily made their way to Silnynon with what little they had led. The remaining crew then kicked Lua out for being mostly useless and so they had one less mouth to feed, which she obviously didn't take well.

This left Lua picking up odd jobs all over, struggling to hold them on account of being Lua, and begrudgingly travelling further and further towards the centre of the country (and away from any of her father's ships that might eventually come for her). Whatever. Money was... not going particularly well at the moment, but as long as she didn't have to see another vampire, she could deal. Creeps...

Personality: Spoiled and self-centred, Lua at her worst is a bit of a nightmare. Since her arrival in Silnynon, she appears to have tempered her bratty behaviour a little, but its very much still there. More perceptive than one might expect, which she tries to use to her advantage. Usually has some kind of scheme in mind, although they're often at odds with her impatience. Isn't nearly as clever as she thinks she is, but she's no slouch.

Appearance: Standing at a modest 5'5", Lua has a rather unremarkable build. She has enough muscle to use her bow without much difficulty, but she doesn't look particularly buff. Her eyes are a dark brown, and her skin is rather tanned, owing itself to the many years spent shirking her studies and other duties. Her normally lengthy hair (a lighter shade of brown than her eyes) is tied in a quick but effective bun for the sake of practicality, particularly when reaching for arrows. Her attire is mostly meant for travel and mobility, rather than taking hits, but she keeps her weapons well-fastened just in case.

Base stats/growths:

Hp: 21 (50%)
Str: 6 (30%)
Mag: 3 (50%)
Skl: 6 (40%)
Spd: 4 (40%)
Lck: 8 (35%)
Def: 2 (15%)
Res: 2 (20%)
Move: 6
Weapons: Bow (C), Light (C)
Affinity: Earth

Skills:
-Ignis: Add half of Str to a magical attack/half of Mag to a physical attack (proc rate: higher of str/mag%)
-Celerity: Lua has +1 move at base

Talents:
-Jack of some trades: Lua starts at C rank with all of her weapon types
-Student of none: Lua cannot gain WEXP through normal combat
