You know what Walmart has to do with Pokemon?

My mom says the exact same thing, although she isn't referencing Pokemon or anything.

Anyway, to answer your question, Walmart sells Pokemon Cards and these little Lego (they're not actually Lego) Pokeballs that have certain Pokemon inside. I also saw a box with a (not) Lego Blastoise on it.

The LEGO fan in me gets slightly triggered when people call non-LEGO toys LEGO. It is understandable though since not many people care about the difference between the name of the brand and construction toys in general.

And LEGO is written with all caps.

Neither is anyone in my family.

Do they say Wally World all the time or just say it occasionally? Because I've never heard my mom say Walmart other than the time when I asked her what Wally World was.

Occasionally.

But Walmart is obviously the IRL equivalent of Pokemart.

Given Japan, I'd say Lawson's actually would be that. An extremely well-known convenience store chain in Japan.

I don't remember Emerald that well, but I do recall kinda liking Wally. And didn't he in a manga get asthma? If he did, I kinda like it that they gave him a little medical condition.

You never played ORAS? He's much awesomer in that.

I've seen art of him with an inhaler that looks like it came from a manga, so I think so. Ingame he's just said to be "frail and sickly" and that he had to be moved to Verdanturf because of the clean air. But asthma is never mentioned. Pretty well implied though.

Between Lawson's and 7 Eleven, which one is bigger in Japan? I hear a lot more about 7 Eleven, so I assume that is the more popular convenience store, although that may be because I see 7 Eleven here in the States and I have never seen Lawson's.

Not sure actually. But looking at Wikipedia, there are 11,384 Lawson stores in total around the world. 7-Eleven has 20392 stores in Japan alone. There is another chain called FamilyMart with 17409 stores in Japan.

7-Eleven also DLC in Japan for Shadows of Valentia just to toss this is in, food plus a sword and shield.

And more importanty, all of these are what Pokemart and TMS's Hee-Ho Mart (just to throw in a mention of TMS) are referencing, not America's retail giants.

To be fair, I was mostly making a joke off the name.

But Wikipedia is a terrible source for information!

Also, i think people call Walmarth Wall-E World because maybe the founder of Walmarth is named "Wall-E".
