Yeah, I really want Ophelia, but the thought of getting pity broken by the obvious demote (who is also my least favorite character in Fates) is honestly pretty disheartening. I really want Nina too. redlight Posted September 13, 2018 Share Posted September 13, 2018 While there is a greater to chance to summon both, I'd avoid summoning for them right now as you can break your pity rate easily with 2 same color focus as well as this being a 4 unit banner, which means that the chances of getting a focus is lower than that of a 3 unit focus. You'll get Silas in the 4* pool and Ophelia isn't worth it to pull right now. If you really want her then wait for the legendary banner that could potentially have a good blue lineup or a another banner in the future that features Ophelia, has a 3 unit focus and has Ophelia as the only blue unit. Getting the "wrong" unit does not mean much at all unless you have a massive pity. The probability of getting ophelia would not change if silias were a different color. In fact, silias increases the probability of getting a blue five star, while leaving the probability of getting an ophilia around the same (the detailed mathematics. Sure, it feels painful, but it dosn't really get in the way of getting an ophilia (except if he breaks a large pity). If you care to upgrade him at some point, that is. That's why I would pull for him, but I don't want Ophelia blocking me from him, of course... NSSKG151 Posted September 13, 2018 Share Posted September 13, 2018 I knew a Conquest themed banner was going to come out some time this year although it came a couple months earlier than I expected. Still, I like just about everyone here but I don't know if I will pull for all of them. I will definitely go for Flora for that red dagger in the permanent pool, won't pull for blues since Silas will get demoted later which I am okay with since it will make it easier for me to +10 him and I will try for Ophelia when she is on another banner and not sharing a color with someone. Nina is probably the one I am least interested in but I will take her if she shows up if I'm forced to pull colorless. Overall, this is probably my favorite banner they released so far this year. More reposition fodder and 4* accessible steady stance and def wave? Hell yeah. As for now I'll patiently wait with my orbs for Atk/Spd solo to be introduced. Humanoid Posted September 13, 2018 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Y'know, I was pretty set on giving Lilina Special Spiral from my spare Lewyn, but it occurs to me that the Def+20 and Killer effect on Flora means she can chain Bonfires just like Ares, with the defense being effectively the same as having the Wo Dao effect as well. This totally backs me up in not considering Wings of Fates an actual Hoshidan banner like most people have. Please, this one has three units only featured in Conquest while WoF only had one exclusive to Birthright and that was an alt. Heck, it didn't even have "Birthright" in the title. If anyone wants to say "Perhaps we'll get a Birthright banner in the future", A) I doubt that, and B) even if it happens, it'll probably feature something like a King!Leo alt, Sophie, Dwyer and Mozume. That totally would count as a Birthright banner in Intsys' eyes, especially when you compare what they consider a Nohrian seasonal banner and what a Hoshidan. Ugh I really don't want to go off on a bitter rant whenever something Fates related comes out, and I am perfectly aware that most full Birthright units aren't popular enough to convince IS to have them sell a banner on their own. But this still doesn't change how the blatant favoritism towards Nohr makes me feel. Well, at least this will make it easier to resist pulling for Eponine (who I do like). Nah, Laegjarn's sacrifice is unnecessary if Laevatainn is dead. Laegjarn's death will help further develop Laevatainn as a character (who is quite weak right now), it's a typical writing convention. Anyway, Flora is one of my very favorite units in Fates and I always liked Ophelia and Nina's designs (plus the former's weapon seems sweet as heck) so I'll be going for all the ladies this banner. Yeah, run her with Linde and Merric, since both of them benefit from being near mages with Aura/Excalibur's refinements, and one of the Performing Arts dancer mages or Dancer!Micaiah for the fourth mage. Also Quickened Pulse so she can instant-Aether people. I'll be rolling just for Flora this banner (partially because I wanna give her Summoner-S, Sturdy Blow 2 and ATK/DEF 2 Seal and staple an M!Corrin with refined Yato, S-Support and Spur DEF 6 to her so that Flora, assuming she has Felicia's DEF, can have 60 DEF and probably-respectable ATK when initiating against melee units and Bonfire them to death), but Ophelia looks super neat too. Pit Silas looks good for a demote, hell he might even be good outside of being fodder (though Steady Stance fodder is cool, and DEF Wave fodder would also be neat if he pitybroke me on a future banner). Nina has nothing of interest to me whatsoever, so Colorless is skipped. I kinda wish she'd demote with Silas, but I know it won't happen.
