How Would You Improve FE Warriors?

Not true.

Plenty of Mystery of the Emblem content was included with Shadow Dragon in Warriors, nothing was stopping them from adding Sheena.

Horace is a dramatic character in the remake and is fairly popular.

Koei was done weird and unexpected joke characters such as a generic punk in Hokuto musou. Nothing was stopping from adding someone like Roger, the comic relief of Shadow Dragon.

Ah yeah. I completely forgot about Sheena. I guess she technically works although not to the extend of Hardin.

Horace would be a weird choice because the games themselves handled him in a really weird way that ensure little people know of him. The gaiden requirements in Shadow Dragon were so bizarre that very few players probably reached his chapter without deliberately trying. He's not locked behind that nonsense in New Mystery but the West didn't get New mystery so he must be almost a complete unknown in the West. With this in mind he would be hard to put into a crossover.

Roger could technically work purely as a joke but there are better options for joke characters like Arthur or even Kellam.

Roger Roger

Honestly I only did the sidequests in Shadow Dragon just so I can say I did them. Like, who in their right mind decided killing off your units to access the sidequests was a good idea?

Koei has done weird and minor characters many times in the past, just look at this example and this example.

How are Arthur and Kellam better joke characters, Kellam in particular is just discount Arden?

Whats funnier then a chubby, bumbling soldier looking for love on the worst places possibly?

Gordin. If there would be a joke character, it would probably be Gordin just due to his sheer infamy. Although I suppose Roger would be the other logical choice, since screw Draug.

Gordin could always be an archer clone.

Honestly they should've made all the clones playable, there was nothing stop them, even include the generic classes for fun like the Empires and Gundam games.

After all whats the point of having all those clones if so many are unplayable?

Prolly cause they can't make support convos for generics

Why would generics have support conversations?

The playable generics in both regular Fire Emblem and regular Dynasty Warriors+crossover spinoffs have less features then the regular units. Again they're playable as an extra.

*Shrug* for what it's worth, I'm not diasgreeing with the idea. For some reason, the supports seem to be what got most of the attention in the game as is, when compared to everything else featured in the game. At most, it's an oversight that they didn't care for, much like other thing for one reason or another

Admittedly, it wasn't all that warranted, but I had a sudden urge of spitefulness. Never mind me

This line alone just reminded me how stupidly hilarious it is to take down a Big Zam in a Zaku Tank with a friend.

As a quick elaboration, just have them get supports like normal but just remove any A+ capability. Rather then getting a Silver, Gold and Essence, they could just get Captain's "Weapon" Bronze and Silver Material. Nothing would change at all barring the materials awarded for increasing the support ranks.

Either remove arena battles, or overhaul them.

There is WAY to much down time in between rounds. Sometimes up to a minute because of message backlog. Most of the battle is waiting for stuff to happen instead of actually fighting things.

Another thing is making event triggers tied to what caused it to happen. Not the proceeding message that shows up (Sometimes much later after you completed the objective or whatever) This ties into point 1. So if I complete an objective, make whatever it triggers happen on completion,  not when the message box for it pops up.

TLDR: Message backlog. Fix it.

If I'm remembering this right, it's a common problem in pretty much all Warriors games...  Definitely agree with ya though.

I am going to strangle it in Hyrule Warriors- between it and poor AI on the generic escorts, one of its second Skulltula missions is a drastic difficulty spike compared to its brethren.

honestly, outside of voice acting, if they had message speeds for the backlogs in battle, it would help a bit with those time sensitive missions, I would instantly set them to fast just so the game can be updated sooner.

No disagreements here... but how does one strangle a feature in a game?

Expand the roster some. On top of that, bring in some more maps, especially maps that actually replicate some FE maps. I think that was the one unfortunate thing with FEW, a lot of the maps took clear inspiration from Fire Emblem locations and all, but didnt feel distinctly FE. I think that is the one thing I would like to see fixed in the future.

Other than that, mechanically the game was really enjoyable. I wouldnt want anything else really fixed. Maybe a bit more fleshed out and expanded upon, but thats it.

if FEW 2 had a map that is a 1:1 recreation of 3-13 that would be so cool.

though I do think this begs the question of what constitutes something feeling like fire emblem, I mean there are some locations that would work well for inspiration like the tower of guidance, but I really can't think of any locations that stand out in awakening or fates, really only arena ferox and the dragon's table for awakening and those are represented as best as they can be (an arena ferox stage would just be impossible), then for fates there is the opera house, but I really can't think of much else, the plains where the choice is made seems like an iconic moment in the game, but there is nothing truly unique about the location, just the scenario.

Poor Shadow Dragon got no locations.

Well, knight characters actually weren't really possible due to the games they chose to include. There just aren't any candidates available from those continents.

From Archenea it would have been either Draug or Lorenz. But Draug  hardly has a character and Lorenz is old which isn't something a fanservicy game like this was going for. Of course they could take my suggestion and just put it emperor Hardin despite him being from Shadow Dragon's sequel. He's still an Archenean after all and the best of the bunch.

From Awakening it would either have been Kellam or Kjelle and neither of those would ever get in.

From Fates Benny and Effie aren't unpopular exactly but neither are likely candidates for a crossover either. They aren't particularly important and don't top any popularity charts either.

But thieves really are weird. This one would have been a lot easier. Julian has plenty of character traits to work with and they could have made Sakura an expy of his girlfriend. Kaze would have been an even more obvious candidate since he's one of the more prominent non royals.

i honestly have to kinda disagree with that sentiment, since well that was likely part of the thinking involved around not including armours, it would still be fucking hilarious and much more interesting to me to see them try and make macellan and dolph work, two characters who almost quite literally do not exist.

or put more simply, id rather them take a risk then play it safe. nintendos got money, they can afford it.

Besides those two there was Draug, Sheena(Plot important), Lorenz(Plot important), Horace, and Roger(primary comedy material).

Koei has done weird and wacky minor characters before like a generic punk in Hokuto muso/Ken's rage.

There were a few locations in Awakening that could have been used. You also have the Valentian castles that could have been used, especially the one where you fight Walhart. A map based on the Plegia locations could have worked really well too, as you said Dragon Table, there was also the very map they used in the Awakening dlc where you recruit Tharja.

I think what I mean by Fire Emblem is just exact locations that are recognizeable. Outside a handful of FEW maps, the rest are vaguely similar to something, but not recognizably an actual FE map. Im still surprised we didnt see a Opera House map for Fates, I figured that would have at least made it to the game, or at least the harbor from CQ Chapter 10. Things like that would make great maps that fans would have recognized and enjoyed to see from a different perspective. One that only a game like Warriors can really provide.

honestly, though, valm was mostly filler, and if you can only make about 3 stages in warriors per game you want to use the most iconic moments, valm could have been easily replaced with something else and it's impact ceases to exist after the arc concludes, meanwhile plagia still has presence from the start and is relevant at the end, but then most other maps are indistinct, I guess they used the demon's ingle, but that was really just the obligatory "lava map" that every fire emblem has, the dragon's table did appear to be present in one of the maps, but the map is fairly flat and open in awakening so it wouldn't work too well, and we had a desert which was likely inspired by tharja's already existed, it also had arena ferox in it because we had to have that because it is the most iconic scene in the game.

I agree with the opera house, that was just a waste, a 1:1 remake would have been fine I think as well, just pop down some forts and provide access to the flier only boats and you are good, the harbor isn't a terrible idea, my only fear could be a possible lack of notoriety, it is far from the most talked about map on CQ, but it would be reminiscent of lake hylia from hyrule warriors if they drained the water, which could be interesting. though I would say that they beat generic ominous castle easily.

I guess that my main hope would be them making 1:1 recreations of maps (with the necessary liberties taken of course to make them functional of course) like I think that crimea castle courtyard would work perfectly with minimal tweaks. shoot I think that kauku caves in radiant dawn would be good for a lava stage due to the layout being good for bottlenecks.

If I had to assemble some locations, some I could think of:

Archanea: C16SD/15NM- Altea itself. The map has a unique donut shape to it, with multiple ready locations for Keeps. For an interior, Pales is one possibility, and another is the Ice Dragon Temple.

Jugdral: Not familiar with FE5's battlefields, but Genealogy speaks for itself. I'd do a Grannvale Grand Battle Royale- all six duchies and the kingdom's capital, and either Verdane or Issach.

Elibe: The Shrine of Seals Exterior- the FE6 and FE7 maps could actually be put together here for a long northwest-southeast battlefield. They could use Castle Ostia for an interior, although I'd think they'd have to throw in the Dragon's Gate. Noble Lady of Caelin is another good FE7 choice, while Ilia, Sacae, and the Western Isles all have nice aesthetics for FE6.

Sacred Stones: Darkling Woods could allow for some artistic license, making it real tainted and all. Scorched Sands would be the best choice for a desert map. Can't really think of a good interior here, but there doesn't have to be. I like Turning Traitor and Revolt in Carcino, but those are more personal preferences.

Tellius: The Rihahn River is good for Part 3. Take what we see in the one movie clip, the 3-6/7 battlefield, the 3-3 battlefield, and add some Laguz camps on the appropriate side. The Serenes Forest is too beautiful to bloody, but it is serene. Not sure what Daein would use, but we should have something from there, 3-13 is good, but anything else? Something from Part 1 at all? Or maybe Defending Talrega from PoR? Please no Riven/Oribes Bridge.

Awakening: I'd pick the map where Emmeryn takes a leap of faith at the end. Valm has... maybe Say'ri's recruitment chapter, it'd be a poor man's CQ10. Grima Arc could do either the site of the Validar battle, or Grima's back, with protrusions for Keeps (Grima has bad acne).

Fates- How about Fort Jinya for Hoshido- combining both the CQ and Rev/BR map? Valm's best is either the first after the big bros join, or the one with moving platforms. CQ of course has C10.
