Hrid himself was nice to use on this map. AI manipulation was key, that Blue Manakete preventing Hrid from reaching my Lyn and Micaiah was a life saver.

The Abyssal Enemy Stats are in the spoiler below. At the courtesy of LordFrigid.

Hrid can go burn in a fire. BS HP bloating and unit debuffing cancels out buffs for unmerged units making this incredibly hard. Reinforcements poking me everywhere didn't help either

I'm looking forward to the one-turn clears for this map. They can't debuff you if they don't get a turn!

I've got one of my own, as soon as I work out the best way to record it.

Nice, Dreamilla is so good, can't believe that I did not get her on the banner T_T Will get her later though.

I did the Same thing with AOE Sonya and 3 Dancers. Took me a bit, but this map grants so much placement that its ok.

Thanks! Hope you get her, she's such a nice unit.

It took me a while of try to play "normal" with just 1 dancer before I narrowed down Adrift Camilla as doing most of the work and threw in more dancers. I just needed to make sure I had 2 dancers that would survive that blue manakete to protect Camilla and Olivia.

@LordFrigid Very nice! You made that look easy. Roy with Armorsmasher reminds me how I'm always too stingy with my resources to tailor my units to try those kind of clears. Good on you and @mampfoid for showing us the glory of that kind of dedication.

Thanks, I wait until she appears on a banner with a good chance. Or maybe even Legendary if its good.

Yeah, Dancers really need to have some bulk to catch at least 1-2 attacks. In my case I need Olivia for blocking the green Wyvern at the top. But for me these kind of games are the most fun, hopping around with 3 dancers along the map. Its good to have 2 dancers with a different color to guard.

That was really cool. Hrid has some monstrous defense~ Of course, I always love to see L!Lyn doing work, she and Micaiah snipe off most of the foes really easily. Great job here!

A monster indeed, the enemies just disappear off the face of the map. Only a few enemies really proved troublesome for her, which the dancers helped soften up~ Congrats!~

Abyssal is out of my reach, but Infernal was fun.

Everyone at 2:21 says "Let's Go" except Minerva, 0/10 clear~

JK, I always like Flier Emblem Shenanigans, especially Caeda and Minerva just because it's amazing how much damage they can do (especially Minerva, she always impresses me). Hinoka and Morgan also come through when needed so even if it's not Abyssal, it was still great~ Nice job!

This one was actually pretty straightforward, which was unusual and kinda nice. Raven’s abysmal bulk is really handy.

More Raven and Roy's back sliding around~ This one was cool, too~ Straightforward but still a nice clear~

That blue manakete was a force to be reckoned with, neither Nowi version is good at fighting those.

I tried using both my Nowis and we haven't figured a way around Infernal yet so it's nice to see you get Abyssal done with Nowi Emblem~

Well thanks, nice to know someone enjoys watching these silly things.

IS needs to demote Hinoka already so I can get her some more merges/a better nature.

It helps that these clears are the primary reason for me to build units now (I think it’s mampfroid’s 1st priority as well), since I’m just about covered for anything else I could need. On Refining Stones specifically, I haven’t missed very many of the ones they made available (30-40 total...two or three days where I missed the daily Tempest battle, and one AA season that I somehow managed to forget to do a run for), so that helps too.

I’m basically just waiting around to see if Lilith or Caeda alts pop up at this point.

Exactly! Don't forget about reinforcements ... always too late.

Congrats, you even made Roy proc GF. That healer was surprisingly bulky.

She is indeed, nuked away quite a bunch of bulky units. Very nice.

Didn't get any dream unit (didn't invest orbs though), would have liked Camilla or Corrin.

Great team! I should finally give my Minerva Galeforce. Always enjoying Hinoka, my first 5* Flier. Sadly too rare to merge.

Thanks for opening the topic.

Nice clear btw., Hrid immediately shows his value. Pope Micaiah blows boss Hrid back to Nifl.

+1 & +0 units are so feelsbadman on Abyssal. (Couldn't even do my usual trick of giving summoner support to Horse Lyn since Ike's using it for Aether Raids.)

That said, the map is miles easier than Bow Lucina's just because there're a lot less reinforcements and the enemies have way worse threat ranges.

Cool, I'll add you to the list.

Thanks!

Yay Alm! Smite is looking really fun on these new Abyssal maps~

Smite is useful surprisingly often in these clears.

I already planned Galeforce for Alm, but then I got Brave Celica ... time for a brave/legendary Alm.

The reinforcements probably saw your team and said "Hrid isn't paying us enough to deal with this".

@LordFrigid making Caeda take a Moonbow to the face... you're a hard taskmaster indeed. Is that your usual team composition? I like it, everyone plays their role.

Here's my application to the one-turn club:

Cool, welcome to the club and congratulations!

I don't know if I've ever seen a dagger user in one of these clears. Nice way to get rid of that Cav and shove Marth near his next prey in one move.

Especially the use of obstruct and darting stance was pretty cool. I didn't think of them (but Alm is too slow anyway).

Lucky you to have a +ATK Lucina, her Future Vision is a great skill for these clears.

I really need to give Caeda and/or Clair Galeforce one day ...

I suppose that's one way to circumvent Gjöll's effect.

@Landmaster @mampfoid Meanwhile, he's my shameful clear. Shoutouts to the Lucius who died for this.

To sum it up: FUCK. THIS. MAP. This is the second Abyssal that has sent me running for a guide (special thanks to PM1), though in this case I only needed to see one thing before puzzling out the rest: that Hríd was in range of Savage Pain. His Panic Ploy not only gave him another debuff to proc Gjöll's effect, but it also screwed up a lot of match-ups due to inverting Titania's buffs, leading to a lot of stupid deaths, so eventually I bit the bullet and the feathers and gave Veronica the cancer tools. I'm convinced knocking out Panic Ploy with AOE spam is the only way to do this map defensively, because goddamn.

The biggest problems by far were the two Green Mages, especially the cavalier who has effective damage on three of my units which almost made me consider building a new team. Fortunately I discovered a weird thing where moving Titania to the left at the beginning causes the Green Cavalier to go around the ice instead of across it??? I'm really not sure why, but it got me the win. Once Hríd's Panic Ploy was broken and F!Grima could deal with him and the Green Mages, the map suddenly became a lot easier now that I had a corner to avoid all the Ploys.

Sothe killed that cav too many times to count until I finally worked out how to engage the wyvern.

It's funny how we both ended up pushing a Falchion user into range so that he could finish with Astra.

The ability to take two actions in a turn while running a damage boosting special can't be underestimated. She's been a staple of all the challenge content.

As long as that axe knight keeps appearing in LHBs, Caeda's a very good investment.
