It's time-limited. You get a week two weeks to do it, each day unlocks new 10 quests to complete. You don't have to clear them on the same day, past quests will remain unlocked throughout the entire event.

Making progress is almost trivial. The quests involve clearing the 1st Time Rift or doing dailies which you are going to do anyway. Some of them seem a bit unreasonable (e.g. recharge stamina, summon on equipment, purchase Trinity Crystals) but these nodes mostly pay themselves (the quest basically refunds you the cost) and you only need to clear 60 of them to obtain Cherie (and all the previous goodies, including a SSR Lance).

I thought Path of Light lasted 14 days? Or at least that's how long I had IIRC.

On the Trails in the Sky collaboration, I would add that no one knows if the global version will even get it (licensing these things can be a pain on that scale).

Since you mentioned promotions, I'll just add to what Magus already said that the Path of Light is always available for new players, at least until the company decides to change that. Only time limitation is the in-game time to clear those quests.

Hi, I just stumbled on this thread with a quick google search, and it seems there is a lot of advanced players here. I have just a question, I will soon reach Lv 35 and the last class tier, but I want to stop playing the game. Will I miss something or will the game get better? I enjoy it but it feels a little pointless for me, as it gets really repetitive and my progress is slow. Plus the game is really addicting (not really a good thing if you ask me). I also felt that it is the langrisser game I enjoy the least (I have played all langrisser games -except the third one and re:incarnation- and growlanser 1 to 4). Give me back Satoshi Urushihara!:):

@david.nguyen I haven't played the original games, so I can't comment on that.

As for the question of "Will the game get better?" Well, it doesn't really change. The core gameplay is the main draw, with the Story and Time Rift also being enjoyable. Events are hit and miss with their challenge maps and storylines. Endgame revolves around Timeless Trials which are challenge gimmick maps that change weekly, and then there will be an Eternal Temple game mode that pits players against bosses. (Think Dragons, but harder.)

However, I do agree that the game can get repetitive real fast, especially if trying to keep up with the Daily Quests. Toss in Joint Battles and Guild Wars and it can become a hassle real quick. Dailies can take 1-2 hours, Joint Battles take about an hour, and Guild Wars have long maps (another 1-2 hours, depending on party strength and what's open). This is just the daily stuff, so progression in Time Rifts or Story mode is not counted.

At the moment it seems I'm playing for at least 4 hours a day. I started shortly after launch, so I've been playing for about 2 months now and am near the level cap (Level 60). I'm at the point where I am wondering if playing Langrisser Mobile is worthwhile. I personally enjoy the game and have fun with it, but the time investment is starting to wear me down and become unsustainable. I could be having more fulfilling experiences elsewhere if I reallocated my time away from LM.

I hear the grind and time investment does drop a little when one properly reaches Level 60, but I haven't experienced that yet and already feel a bit burnt out. I myself may end up quitting or just becoming a "super casual" player who doesn't care about efficiency or dailies. I play what I want, when I want, and how I want. I don't need "Quests" telling me what to do, even if there are "rewards" at the completion of these tasks.

So, if you want to quit, go ahead. Finding what is fulfilling for your time is far more important than playing something you do not enjoy.  If you miss anything of value, there's bound to be a Youtube video or something showcasing it (so Story Maps, or the Time Rift, Character Bonding, and so on).

Thank you for your answer Sire! Wow you played a lot! I really enjoy the game but I guess I will quit after upgrading my top 5 heroes to the last tier class. It seems the game changes a little because of the "faction stuff" but I don't really care tbh. Btw I really recommend playing the original games because they are fantastic (Der Langrisser and Langrisser IV comes to my mind).

Finally reached level 59 today and got my main team to level 60. I tried to do the level 60 Dark Dragon, but I'm seriously lacking in DPS. I managed to beat the level 60 Ice Dragon on turn 15, but that's impossible for the Dark Dragon since it become impossible to attack him once turn 11 rolls around. He just one shots all my units.

However, I did manage to beat TT A+. Considering how much trouble it gave me, I'm not gonna stop there for this week, but it did give me 200 Orichalcum Ore, which is a nice bonus.

I have finally uninstalled the game. Here is some thoughts on the game (for those who are still playing, feel free to skip this message).

I would say it is an okay game. Would I recommend it? Yes and no. The main appeal is that it is a mobile game (obviously) and you can play outside when taking the bus or train. I say that because I don't have a phone able to play it (I played it on my computer). The second appeal is of course the Langrisser universe, playing the original game (especially Langrisser 2/Der Langrisser) make it really more enjoyable.

The gameplay is fast and addicting but it lacks what make the original series awesome (great story and characters, the character design, epic battle). Honestly, there are a lot of better TRPG available (just to name a few series : Fire Emblem, Langrisser, Shining Force, Ogre Battle...) The only thing I am sad to miss is the collaboration with the Legend of Heroes series :(

Did a couple of pull on the Alt/Bozel/Bern banner since Alt is one of the 2 SSR I'm missing. Didn't get him, but I did get a random Dieharte, who was the only other SSR I didn't have. So I'm still missing Altemuller, but I won't have to spend crystals on the upcoming Luna/Tiaris/Dieharte focus banner. At this point, I'll probably wait for the banner that has both Leon and Alt to try for him again.

I also reached level 60 today. Getting Gold instead of EXP will be nice since I have plenty of gear to upgrade. Also, being able to level up units beside my main team will give me more flexibility. Got Freya, all the princess SSRs, Ledin and Sonya at level 60 with Leon now at 57. Probably will work on Elwin next since the thunder dragon is still the bane of my team.

Been dealing with laptop issues recently, so there's not much in terms of posting. (Lost most of my data, but I managed to salvage the important stuff.) Anyways...

Finally reached Level 60 and I'm now taking it easy. Got Altemuller from the summon and tossed some Crystals at the lotto for the lesser rewards (3 Bronze, 1 Silver. Silver Reward was the Tickets while the remaining Bronze was the Friendship Vouchers. Pretty good deal if you ask me). Now I'm back to saving up Crystals, especially since I don't see myself purchasing the Goddess Gift package anymore.

Also got my first 6-Star Servant in the form of Lester. Was hoping for Laird, but maybe my guild lead's fascination with Lester made him show up in my summons. For SSR heroes, I'm working in 6-starring Cherie and Lana first though Memory Shard farming in Bonds. Afterwards, maybe I'll level Elwin a little bit before focusing on Bernhardt and Bozel.

I've been making progress in the Time Rift, and man, Chapter 8 is really something else. Who decided it was a good idea to give out +2 range to skills to every enemy ranged unit? The enemy phase ambushes in Langrisser Mobile suck as is, and now we got super snipers as enemies. Luckily I run a team that tends to have high MDEF (Bozel, Lana, Liana - Cherie to a lesser extent due to Angels) so it doesn't affect me as much, but still.

Also, some progress in the main story (30+). I'm definitely seeing the in-game shipping. I wonder how it'll actually turn out after its all over... // Oh, and 6-unit deployment slots now. I've been adding Bernhardt to my team. Although, I think I'm reaching the point where I need leveled SSR equips, because even leveled SRs may not be cutting it anymore.

Decided to try my luck against the level 65 Ice Dragon, since he's by far the one I have the easiest time facing. I failed the first run, but I learned that while Shelf and Lana can survive the AoE attack of the dragon with Miracle, they definitely cannot without Miracle. So second time around, I weaved them in and out of the dragon's range between his AoEs, though I always left Luna there to tank the AoEs. Didn't get any SSR drops, but considering I managed to get a Mirror Armor from the Fire Dragon yesterday, which I really wanted for Freya, my Epic Martial Spirits are already taken for. Getting 60 Ore from the bonus is a nice jump from the 50 the level 60 gives.

Other reason I'll need a lot of Epic Martial Spirit is that I decided to do 6 pulls on the Macho Loto and to my amazement, I managed to get 3 bronze, 2 silver and 1 gold, with the gold being the Slayer's Emblem. Once I level this up, my now lvl 60 Leon will have good SSRs for both his weapon and his accessory. I'll also need to level up the Winged Shin Guards I got from reaching level 60. I still need to decide if I'm gonna go for the Rune and skin or just keep my Crystals.

Wow nice @LuxSpes! I tried Ice Dragon yesterday, but my characters kept dying to Ice Age lol, with or without Miracle. Though I wasn't using Luna so maybe that would have helped.

No big changes for me. I haven't been getting as many Epic Spirits as I probably should have, instead getting the random ssr boxes for a change. I should go back to getting those epic spirits though, my existing ssr need more levels.

@Sylphid I forgot to specify but I'm pretty sure the reason Lana and Shelf even survived Ice Age with Miracle is thanks to Luna's aura. The Mdamage reduction is crucial and it allowed me to leave Luna alone in range of the dragon to tank Ice age then have my 2 mages come in to attack.

At this point, Im glad even when I get bad SSRs since it gives me more ore for epic martial spirits. Doing the Timeless Trials up to A also gives 200 extra ore per week.

Yeah I'll try with Luna next time.

True, except when they come out of those 200 ore random packs lol. Though I have bit of a hoarding problem with the SSR equipment so I end up not selling it most of the time. I don't think I'll end up using all the SSRs I have but what if...

@Jedi That looks pretty cool.

A Ultimate was the farthest I had managed to go in Timeless Trials previously, but since I reached level 60, and heard that Ultimate trials past A were still pretty manageable due the enemies not moving as long as you kill them in one turn and leave their attack range, I decided to give it a try even though my units are still not fully built (average power is around 4.2k, which is pitiful compared to the 5.1k I sometime see on units like Leon and Lana.

Welp, turns out this weeks S Ultimate trial can't be cheesed by Lester hooks or Liffany bombs :

Spoiler

a35aef10d9.jpg

There's only one entry point to that room and it's impossible to hook everyone or to even use Liffany's bombs. Not to mention the enemies have the three most annoying AoE mages to face on top of a really hard time law. Unless I somehow find a strategy that allows me to do this with my units, S-4 is probably the farthest I'll go this week.

Edit: Managed to beat it using Luna, Cherie, Tiaris, Shelfaniel and Hein as a Teleport Bot. Tiaris an Shelf were mostly there to buff, Luna chipped with her 3 range and Cherie did most of the work. Took me 14 of the 15 turns, but it worked really smoothly.

@Sylphid Yeah, that's the only time where I'm not happy about getting bad SSRs. My haul for this week's packs was pretty bad with me only getting a Last Knight duplicate, a Nighthawk and a Bloody Melody.

So, I finally progressed a bit in the main story and came across the famed "Phoenix Escort" mission.

**** that mission.

One needs like infinite rewinds because without playing in advance, one has to guess where the Pheonix goes. Also, if one overextends (and keep in mind Langrisser Mobile is more player-phase focused than enemy phase, at least in my experience), then one gets screwed over by the map AoE gimmick. If one has an excellent tank (Ledin), or a unit that can hit targets and run back (Leon + Tactics Buff, or to a lesser extent Cherie or Sonya), then maybe the map won't be that bad.

It would have been so much easier if the player gets control of the NPC. I know the tech is available since it happened with Epic Eatery quests. Sometimes man, this game... It's good, but it has so many problems that are "easily fixed," yet remain broken. /end rant

* * * * *

Man, I'm feeling that Runestone drought. I'm not spending my Crystals for the lotto stuff, so I need to wait for next month.

At the moment, I plan on Runestones for...

Bernhardt - Brave (I already have his T2 class for Shield Bash. Now I just need to master Brave so Bernhardt can off-tank for me if necessary. I should pick up Strong Arm from his other T2 class, but I have too many people who want Runestones.)

Leticia - Knight Master (Leticia was one of the characters I made a "mistake" on when I first started. I put her in her T2 Flying class for Class Mastery and she needs a Runestone to swap back to her main line. The reason I want to spend one on Leticia is due to her Sprint skill. I tend to use Leticia to ferry my units around in Guild Wars, and I may end up using her in Arena too.)

I eventually want to spend Runestones on Angelina (2, Aquatic Line) and Matthew (2, Ranger Line), but other priorities come first.
- - - - - - - - - -
Lastly, we got Lanford and Listell coming up. While they look interesting, they seem to be more PvP focused and I have enough characters to raise as is. I'm probably going to pass on them and save up for my guaranteed Luna (Dieharte, Luna, Tiaris) and Shelf (Shelf, Luna, Bozel) for the upcoming Focus banners. I want my Princess buffs, even though I'm running a Dark Team these days...

After that is saving the the Liana Lotto skin... I decided to actually save and get the thing once I saw the actual full art.

@LuxSpes Congrats on the S Timeless! I sweeped what I could yesterday, and found out I forgot to get the 200 orichalcum last week lol. I should try to remember this time lol.

I finally resolved myself to sell some of my SSR equipment too: Goddess Dress and 4 copies of Wind Cutter Dagger became a Devil Axe and 2 copies of Peacemaker. The axes seem pretty nice since I do have a bunch of fliers, lancers and water units I want to eventually have geared up. They're no Ullr's Bow though, which I really want for Luna. I've been using a Nighthawk for now lol.

@Sire Feeling the Runestone burn as well. I have 1 in stock still, but any plans I have would take 2. Right now Altemuller's Flier path and Bozel's Death Lord path are the top priority for me. Lancer Altemuller is just... Sad, in all honesty.

Aside from them, a lot of my units could use additional class skills too. Bern and Angelica come to mind, and getting Lester his cavalry and flier paths sounds cool. I would really like Aim for Liffany too which would just take 1 stone, but that's also low priority.

Personally I'm really interested in Lanford and plan to pull for him. Hopefully I can get him without much of an issue so I can then continue saving for Shelf and the eventual Altemuller summer skin lotto.

@SireI watched a video of someone clearing it first to at least have an idea of how the phoenix moved. It really helped since I only had to restart once after the phoenix moved for the very first time. Liana is really useful here to help counteract the Phoenix's self-damage with Prayer.

I'm also feeling the Runestone burn. I'm now down at 0 after using my last ones on Leon to get him Thousand Hooves and another on Lester to get Move Again. I have tons of SSRs sitting unused because I don't have enough Runestones to get all their useful skills. Most notorious of those is Jugler who needs 4 runestones to reach his full potential...

@Sylphid I actually managed to completely beat the Timeless Trials yesterday. SS2 and SS3 were by far the hardest maps to beat, SS4 and SS-Ultimate were a breeze in comparison. Shame it only got me a Giant Belt, but I'm glad I was able to beat it.

Also, while I was leveling up, I kept seeing people saying Princess player will need to switch out Freya for Ledin eventually, that she falls off and becomes a dead weight in comparison to Ledin. And while it's true that she's useless against Dragon as a damage dealer, I don't think I could have beaten some of the TTs without her. All the maps that had laws reducing damage would mean that Ledin would deal poor damage, even with his talent. But since Freya's damage all comes from fixed source, she completely ignored those laws and was my main way to deal damage through those laws. So I'm glad I stuck to her and didn't blindly follow the "Freya's trash, use Ledin" train.

Wow, that's amazing! I should try the harder difficulties of it some time soon, but all the other things usually give me my fill of the game lol.

I never bought the "Freya sucks!" speakers myself (like a lot of absolutes in meta talk, it reaked of overfocus on a specific mode, namely dragons and, if I remember right, the mode we should be getting tomorrow), but I unfortunately still let her fall off recently. I like her barbs mechanic but I ended up having a lot of other units I wanted to use more so I ended up not dedicating potions / class materials / hammers for her. That said, my Freya's at level 50 so she's not that far behind, 2 to 3 days of Training School should be enough for that. My main team and some additional units are about ready now though so I should work on her next.

Well after weeks of just mostly doing Anikis and Dragons, I wanted to test myself by trying out the Timeless Trials, especially since it has some good rewards. The 300 crystals from S and the SSR accessory are especially nice.

The part about people overfocusing specific mode is something I realized just now. When I was leveling up and still using Freya as my number 1 tank, I kept seeing people say that she was useless because most bosses in endgame content are immune to fixed damage. Well I'm now 60 with all the Time Rifts besides 9-Elite cleared, all the story mission beat and now SS trials under my belt and the only relevant content where fixed damage doesn't work are the dragons. In every other mode except the dragons, her barbs work absolutely fine. Thanks to the Mirror Armor I recently got for her, she effectively deals 3.5x her Def before battle even starts then deals 5x her def at the end of battle for 8.5x her def total. That damage ignores any damage reduction or any amount of defense and as I've recently realized, she actually deals twice that amount since she deals both full barb damage to the unit and the troops separately (i.e, if she has 500 def, her talent would deal 1000 to the hero and 1000 to the troops, for a total damage of 2000). I really wish her Gate of Fate would come out so I could unlock her 4th Bond level to further increase her Def. (Getting the 60 shards I'm missing for her to be 6 stars would be nice too.)

It's funny to use her in PvP. I sometime face some Cheries with pretty low HP and after taking a couple of AoEs, they die to the barbs before they can even touch Freya.

So the new mode seems pretty nice, today's map has a gimmick where you can only heal by placing your unit on specific tiles (these also protect the unit from the boss' aoe skill that's used at the start of each turn), and the boss changes its type to whatever you attack them with. Empire (and Origins) being buffed here, Leon is amazing since he can attack and retreat. If you can bring infantry, lancer and cavalry unit you can basically cycle around them so that the typing is always weak to a unit of yours (I used Elwin, Bern, Leon and Altemuller, though I messed up my rotation towards the end). Unfortunately it's just one run per day, but the rewards seem pretty good. The Blessing doesn't work there, though.

Aside from that, the Easter event seem pretty nice, you basically get extra drops from Secret Realm that you can exchange for Trinity Vouchers, SSR enchant scrolls, Gold and other things. Or up to 1998 SSR hammers lol. 18 daily runs of Gates of Fate is amazing.

Makes sense. The rewards are indeed nice, I'm honestly kind of annoyed that I forgot to get the 200 orichalcum last week, since I was just 2 maps away from it and I've got them before.

Yeah I kept seeing people mention Freya sucks because dragons and the bosses in the new mode (checked it with Bern to be sure) are immune to fixed damage, but usually I just kept thinking "what about the other modes?" at that. If I remember correctly, my main issue with Freya was that her defense was lower than my Ledin's, and at the time I needed a tank who can take punishment from non-cavalry enemies (might have been demons which just makes Ledin skyrocket). I got a Mirror Armor from the latest Ice Dragon and my brain instantly went to her, nice to know you're liking it on her. Looking forward to building her, which I'll do next since I finished leveling Angelica. I'm also looking forward to building Liffany for more fixed damage shenanigans.

I think I'll skip the Eternal Temple for today since even though I have Elwin and Leon at level 60, they don't have any bond or gear investment, so they're most likely gonna hit like wet noodles and don't survive long. When I do get them up to speed, the idea of Pegaluna -> Slayer Emblem Leon -> Freya  -> Elwin seems like a decent way to deal damage.

18 Gates of Fate per day is amazing. I'm gonna continue getting 3 shards/day for Tiaris and Shelfaniel, but instead of just doing 3 gates for some of my less used SSRs, I think I'll go all in for my main princess team during the event and try to do 3 shards/day for Tiaris, Shelf, Luna, Lana, Cherie and Liana for the duration of the event.

I also somehow managed to get Listell on my first multi. With that, I literally every SSRs except the two Strategic Masters faction buffers. The game really doesn't want me to use that faction.

@SylphidThe funny thing is that they'll eventually change the Dragons and Eternal Temple bosses so that they can be damaged by fixed damage sources that deal damage equal to a multiplier of a unit's stat. So Freya will be able to deal damage with her barb eventually even against those bosses. And it's kind of weird that your Freya had less defenses than Ledin, since according to this table from the wiki, Freya's Def caps at 361 while Ledin's cap are 347 and 326 as a King and Templar respectively, so she should have more Def. It might have been due to bond investment that your Ledin had higher def?

Well I got Lanford on my first 10 pull so that's nice. Was expecting to pulling a bit more R units and maybe get my first 6* that way, but I'll take this victory against gacha rng.

Oh, I didn't mean her defense stat specifically, just that she kept dying easier. My bad on the confusing wording. I forget what the difference was though, I think I tested with same equipment anyways (aside from weapon since Templar Ledin and Freya can't use the same ones). Could have been bonds as you say, at the moment Freya is definitely behind on those. Nice to know her barbs will work there too eventually.

And congrats on Listell, that's amazing you're only missing 2. I myself am missing Shelfaniel, Listell, Zerida and Jugler. Shelf is my top wanted unit out of them because Princess Faction. The other three I don't really know what I would do with even, except Jugler is a cute and fluffy pet.
