ping Posted May 3, 2020 Author Share Posted May 3, 2020 Chapter 19 - Dragon's Gate Spoiler 11/16 turns (118/127 in total) - 1650/2100 XP (14933/11850 in total) - Funds: * * * * * Lowen opens the door to the Brave Bow and Matthew pillages it. Priscilla opens the door to the north, Sain and Kent go through and remove the two archers. Dorcas sits in the forest to kill the Killer Bow Archer through the wall, Erk sits on the corner to draw and kill two nomads (the Archer still prefers to target Dorcas). Florina and Fiora rescue Hector ahead, he chips Cameron and kills a couple enemies. Perfect level-up on Lyn Eliwood chips against Cameron and Florina takes the kill. Eliwood, with a little bit of rescue/drop ahead, recruits Legault on T5, between the throne and the northeast corner of the map. Legault immediately steals the Antitoxin from the nearest Knight. Dorcas (Archers/Fighters through the wall), Erk (Mages in the small room), and Lowen (Archers from the SW room) farm reinforcements. Sain and Kent punch through the wall to intercept the Archers and Fighters that Dorcas can't deal with (he two-rounds Archers, but not fighters, so he's not getting that much done, tbh). Lowen, with Dorcas joining him for a bit, also deals with the Peg Knights coming from the southwest. Erk, once the mages stop spawning, kills the Mage and the Knight guarding the northwest treasure. Hector doubles and one-rounds Darin - with lackluster accuracy, but he has three rounds of combat to get two hits in, so it's not a problem. He only starts working on him on T10 PP (and promptly misses twice), because that's when the last reinforcements spawn until T15. I've looked through the general reinforcement lists and VoD seems to be the best chapter to farm them, so I'm not waiting four turns for two enemies per turn to spawn. Legault gets the Member Card (and one of the Chest Keys) from the thief reinforcements. A trade chain allows me to go to the northwest secret shop to stock up on Physic staves. I thought Barrier was buyable here, too, but I guess that'll have to wait until Kinship's Bond. No Killer Weapons, though. Raven (T5, vs. Myrmidon) and Eliwood (T6, vs. Shaman) visit the Arena once each before they have to be pulled towards towards the boss. Lucius is in full Glass Cannon mode this chapter, one-rounding and being one-rounded by enemies with steel weapons, which is fun if those enemies are Wyvern Riders on a FoW map. If he had cost me one more attempt, I probably would've caved and fielded the higher-leveled, more tanky Erk instead. Oleg hits very hard with his Silver Axe (31 Atk), which is why I didn't want to pull him before the Wyvern reinforcements have been mostly dealt with. Eliwood and Legault double and can chip him down enough for Raven to take the kill. ping Posted May 10, 2020 Author Share Posted May 10, 2020 Chapter 21 - Kinship's Bond Spoiler 9/11 turns (136/147 in total) - 1729/1700 XP (18198/14750 in total) - Funds: * * * * * OK, first things first: Eubans does indeed move in EHM. Makes it a bit more difficult to delay the clear for maximum XP, since he covers a fair bit of the central area of the map, including the area between the Ballistae. Also, f*ck the green units. Super annoying, even moreso in this context. Priscilla opens the door towards Heath with the Unlock, Kent rescues Eliwood, gets danced and drops him in range to recruit Heath. Kent blocks the doorway to kill both Fighters in the room with a Steel Sword on EP. Also on EP, Lyn one-rounds a single Cav, Sain one-rounds a Shaman. T2, Matt grabs the thief's lockpick and then the two chests. I only pull Eubans on EP8 (with Hector@HA) to spawn the last remaining reinforcements on T9. Before that, a (somewhat too large) squad lingers just outside his range to the north, while smaller groups farm XP at the left and right borders of the map. Kent and Heath to the west (and Matt and Eliwood, a little bit); Sain, Isadora, Rath and Fiora to the east. Priscilla runs around, using Heal and Physic as is needed. In the end, only one Nomad survives, lightly bruised by Rath's arrow. Rebecca hops into a Ballista to get some safe chip XP from Eubans, Hector chips him to 3 HP and, for Geitz's sake, Lyn takes the bosskill with 91 disp. hit (Iron Sword deals exactly 3 damage with more acc - Eubans would one-shot her if she missed) Meanwhile, Lowen went shopping, after doing some minor contributions and while carrying a particularly annoying member of Rath's squad - one Chest Key, one Torch staff and a whole lot of Barrier staves.
