I have also really started to care about Lorenz and I want to help fix his life so he is one of my favourites. Otherwise I mainly agree with the first list. Although I might move Dorothea and Linhardt up, and Lysithea, Ferdinand and Bernadetta down. So mine would probably go, S: Ashe, Hubert, Felix. (Jumping up and down in Excitement) A: Dimitri, Sylvain, Mercedes, Annette, Ingrid, Claude. (Really Excited) B: Dorothea, Petra, Dedue, Hilda, Lorenz. (Excited) C; Edelgard, Linhardt, Raphael, Marianne (They seem pretty cool) D; Ferdinand, Leonie, Lysithea, Bernadetta, Caspar. (Alright, nothing special) E: Ignace. (Not doing it for me right now) Overall I really like almost every character revealed so far, but Ignace will have to impress me before he gains my favour. Does anyone know how to stop a C and a D followed by a : from turning into a face. I had to use semicolon's for them instead. Favorites: Claude, Ashe, Petra, Ingrid, Felix. Good: Dorothea, Caspar, Sylvain, Hilda (she would be favorite, but her profile knocked her down), Lysithea, Marianne, Edelgard. Neutral (but vaguely positive): Ferdinand, Annette, Dedue, Dimitri, Mercedes. Meh: Bernadetta, Leonie. Blah: Linhardt, Hubert, Raphael, Lorenz, Ignace. Not only do they have very consistently good artwork, but they also look the most like traditional FE characters on average. The only reasons I'd even consider the other houses is that Blue Lions don't have Claude and Bernadetta. You can rate others, but I didn't include them because... where do you draw the line. Will all teachers be playable? Will Rhea and Setes? Do we include villains? Jeralt? Sothis? Yeah, I guess this is just one thing I hope for now. Like seeing the characters grow and others who are not students be more available in the late game. But I guess this is not possible in one game. And characters need their time to be build up and show growth. I hope Three houses will. And we surely will change our opinion on one or the other student. Dimitri: I'm a sucker for lance infantry and he gives me strong Eliwood vibes... which is a good thing Claude: Zero complaints, love everything I've seen so far. Also my love of Holmes (TRS) has me stoked for another Bow Lord B Tier Edelgard: I like her design but she hasn't given me much as a character yet Dorothea: Losing that ridiculous hat on promotion is a big plus for me. So is her background in music. Hubert: Seems like he could be a tanky dark mage and have a little bit of an edge to him, which seems like it'll be rare in this cast Ashe: Being adopted into Nobility and a thief regardless of class gives him alot of story and gameplay potential Ingrid: Nice design and interesting potential being from a noble family that's apparently fallen on hard times. C Tier Ferdinand: Seems fine I guess... really don't have much to say Petra: Color me intrigued, but I hope she's not just a retread of Athena Linhardt: So far just a meme. Annette: Again not much to say here. Sylvain: See above Felix: Hopefully we get more out of him than "likes fighting", but I ended up really liking Stefan and Karel so hopefully it'll work out. Or perhaps he could be the Hector to Dimitri's Eliwood Dedue: As much as I appreciate having some ethnic and body type diversity, I'll need to see a bit more character wise to move him up. Raphael: Eh, Being a male Effie doesn't sound too appealing but he has some potential with his backround. Leonie: I like her look but I'll need more before I can make a more definitive call. Lorenz: He's either going to end up A tier for being a lovable little shit or F tier for just being shit, there is no in between. Lysithea: I like her look but the whole young genius thing rarely does alot for me. Marianne: I really like her hair... That's all I got D Tier Bernadetta: Being a bit of a visual callback to Katarina is nice, but excessively shy characters rarely do anything for me. Caspar: Gives off Shonen protag vibes (not a plus) and his hair looks ridiculous Hilda: The only spoiled rich character I've ever liked is Maribelle, so the odds aren't in her favor. Being a visual callback to Serra is not a good thing in my book. Ignace: Not a fan of the design and we don't have anything to work with character wise yet.
