Not only is the difficultly realistically scaled based on your team setup and who each boss is, but the teams being divided up into so few members per group makes it possible for you to have a high rank based on how hard you try and whether you're willing to risk using or saving your Havoc Axes. It felt really great to be in the Top 5 (not sure if it was Top 3 or 5) in round 1, and I never went past Rank 10 in the following two rounds. It made me feel like my dedication to building my units was worth something, especially since it's no longer realistically possible in Arena due to the changes IS implemented. At the very least, it's a heck of a lot better than Grand Conquests since I don't have to worry about ever getting locked out (still not letting that go).
