Here's the female class options (excuse the poor quality):

Excluding lord since it's exclusive, female units have access to 9 intermediate classes and 9 advanced classes while males have access to 10 intermediate and 11 advanced (since for some reason it seems females can not become what seems to be heroes which is weird to say the least).

I think that's a little bit unfair and I dislike the Archanea approach.

At least males can access to wyvern rider without any prior flying class, but I would have prefered the class system to be more linear-based (with branches). I mean, wyvern rider promoting to wyvern lord and malig knight; pegasus knight promoting to falcon knight and sky knight. I hate when your pegasus mount magically turns into a wyvern. Give them separates classes for Naga's sake.

Here are the class lists with the names of each class.

Also surprised we haven't seen/heard any of the Advanced Class names. We might be able to guess some based on the past games.

Glad we can recruit units from other houses (as already hinted), hoping that you can't just take everyone and strip down the other nations though, especially of relevant characters (close to lords). That said I'm not a fan of how that works, having to train Byleth in weapons that maybe you don't care about at all just to get a unit is a bit of a waste of exp. Then again Byleth is probably going to be OP so maybe it's not that bad to invest some exp for something else.

I was hoping to see the last panel of classes, especially because I'm not a fan of the peg>wyv way (maybe the peg comes back in a "top" class?). Also would be weird to have the pegasus female only if at the end of the day it's just intermediate... especially considering that there will probably be a berserker/brawler promotion that'll be male only (and maybe a Sorcerer as well).

New units look nice, especially Flay. Graphics is bad but not THAT bad, I feel like it was way worse in the first trailer. To add to that I'll probably play mostly handheld so it's a big whatever for me.

Nah I dont think they are doing it that way, Males dont have access to Pegasus Knight yet they do have access to Wyvern. This obviously isnt our full class list, I think there's some they arent showing for whatever reason

I mean in Shadow Dragon males didn't have access to Pegasus Knight either but did have access to Dracoknight after promotion if reclassed. Also I would doubt they don't have the full class list established by now this late into development with it come out next month. This is definitely the final list (sans the possible master class tier). The only thing they should be working on is bugs by now.

My guesses for the Advanced class names (from left to right) would be:

Hero (male-only), Swordmaster, Rogue, General, Paladin, Dracoknight, Berserker, Sniper, Pugilist (male-only), Sage, Bishop

Though, if you look closely at the screenshots, you can see a purple scrollbar to the right indicating there's room at the bottom for Master classes.

I am 100% convinced that is not the final class list.

1: Males have no intermediate flying options but both genders get Wyvern Rider as an advanced class

2: Bishop seems to be missing from male advanced list. It is there for Edelgard's tree but looks way too different in Ferdinand's to be the same class. I wager we can see Sage and Dark Sage/Sorceror in Ferdinand's list, but no Bishop.

3: Hero is missing in Edelgard's list. Much like Priest for Ferdinand, Edelgard CAN become a Mercenary - I highly doubt Hero is suddenly gender exclusive? Both genders get Swordmaster as well.

4: There's no advanced Lord option in Edelgard's list. I wager this might be the class the three lords are in post-time skip.

Why are the classes missing? idk. Could be they want to keep some secrets for the demo builds. Could be viewing future classes can't be done willy nilly and you have to like, unlock them in some capacity to even view them on the list?

But I absolutely do not believe for an instant that this is the full class list for advanced or even intermediate.

Dracoknight is already confirmed as Wyvern Rider actually since we saw a screenshot of Seteh as one.

I'm kinda surprised Hero (or what seems to be Hero) is male only. They really are taking a lot of inspiration from older FE games where Hero was actually male only with few exceptions. Also males have no flying class in intermediate tier but then having one in advanced tier is exactly lime Shadow Dragon.

Both have Bishop, believe me.  What you're looking at is probably one of the male-only Fighting specialist classes (which I'm calling Pugilist).

I dunno, IS has a history of making stupid balancing decisions.  Like going back to having certain classes be gender-locked and not having a Javelin/Hand Axe equivalent for Swords.

Look again. Edelgard's bishop looks very similar to male and female priest. That sprite you think is bishop looks NOTHING like either of them. And I know the advanced!brawler class is there. It's what makes it so obvious that an advance mage class is missing. Sage is there for both. Edelgard has bishop or something similar with Ferdinand seeming to had Sorceror, and no Bishop. And even if it IS Bishop: where is the advanced dark mage class?

Bear in mind that there aren't classical class lines. Promotions require leveling up skill ranks that fit the minimum requirements for a promotion

Well... They've made Lorenz (Claude's buddy retainer) change the house so..

As I said before, they are certainly taking a page from older FEs with the classes here (namely Hero being male only and Wyvern Rider being gender neutral despite the lack of a flying intermediate class for males). Is it stupid? Yes. Does it have reasoning behind it (despite how stupid it is yes)? Yes. I guess we're just gonna to deal with it like we did with Peg Knight and Dark Mage being exclusive. Also, the bishop classes look similar to, males just have gold armour and a cape it seems.

Also yes at what @redlight. The classes obviously have recommended promotions or things they would normally promote to, but the class lines are still not definite as you can promo to any class provided you have the skills.

I hope there is a good variety of master/4th tier classes. There are still Warlock and Assassin, which could be part of the advanced classes but the sprites don't really look like there is an assassin class, and I honestly can't imagine what a warlock would look like. I'm a bit disappointed there isn't a falcon knight class, but hoping that it could still be a master class. But I am really happy that wyvern rider is gender neutral!

...Except it doesn't?

The female Bishop still looks more regal than both genders of Priest.

Compare each gender Priest to its Bishop.  The differences between female Priests and Bishops may not be as apparent, but they're very much there.

This is a video game which will allow me to attend liturgical choir practice every week with my friends, just like in real life.

This is so surreal and I want Nintendo to take my money.

I was bored so I copied the descriptions of all the seminars and what skills they improve:

  • Byleth: Begin a seminar on group tactics and Jeralt’s mercenary fighting style. Swords (C+) and Authority (B)
  • Seteth: Begin a seminar on an ancient Fódlan fighting style utilizing lance skills. Lances (B) and Authority (C+)
  • Hanneman: Begin a seminar on both reason and bow skills from an esteemed professor of the monastery and the leading Crest scholar in Fódlan. Bows (D+) and Reason (B)
  • Manuela: Begin a seminar on both faith and sword skills from a beloved professor of the monastery and former songstress. Swords (D) and Faith (B)
  • Gilbert: Begin a seminar on a fighting style developed by the Knights of Seiros that utilizes lance and axe skills. Lances (C) and Axes (C)
  • Alois: Begin a seminar on a fighting style developed by the Knights of Seiros that utilizes axes and gauntlets. Axes (B) and Gauntlets (C)
  • Catherine: Begin a seminar on a fighting style in which practitioners dominate their opponent using improvised sword and melee techniques. Swords (B+) and Gauntlets (C)
  • Shamir: Begin a seminar on fighting styles designed for special situations, such as firing a bow from a long distance or battling in the dark. Lances (C) and Bows (B+)

I totally agree with you. I hope that we didn't see the full list and we need to unlock classes to some extend so Hero isn't gender-locked. To limitate Dark Knight, Pegasus Knight and Brawler/Pugilist was a dumb decission. And also, with the weapon triangle out of question, I could see a Kodachi/Wakizashi type of Sword in this game.

It looks like they're taking the Shadow Dragon approach, which is "if you can ride a horse, you can ride a giant flying lizard".

"play as Female Edelgard"

Ok treehouse lol

They were fresh off of playing the FF7 remake. 😛

Dear me, the generics look good - like, better than some of the recruitable characters in a regular FE game.  I hope this carried over to the villains, too!  FE is overdue for attractiveness-equality!

Actually something I noticed, there was a female generic cavalier which is something new for the series.

This is getting irritating because I have no idea what sprite you're talking about. My phrasing was "it looks very similar to the female and male priest"

You're telling me the last sprite in Edelgard's advance list doesn't look like the second last sprite in her intermediate list or the last sprite in Ferdinand's intermediate list?

...ok.

And even if this is silly to argue over in the first place because my larger point remains unanswered (beyond literally writing things off because lel IS b stoopid): where is the third advanced mage class for males? It isn't there. One of them is certainly Sage. The other, to me, looks like an advanced version of Dark Mage. Maybe it is Bishop. Either way BOTH are not present. Only one.

So i aslo noticed that Byleth's Sword has 20 uses, so its super OP but its balanced by low durability.

But i dont think it actualy brakes per-se its probably like Master sword in BOTW it "brakes" but temporary, and its restores itself back after battle ends or something, maybe after set number of turns.

Legendary weapons will VERY likely be like how magic is done in this game where you have a certain amount of uses per battle but replenishes back full after.

Byleth seems OP as hell in all these gameplay videos, I hope it’s just a virtue of playing on Normal mode and they won’t be a one (wo)man army on Hard.

Uses being lower overall but regenerating after battle is a really good idea for FE. Limited uses previously would make players want to avoid using weapons for fear of no longer having it when they need it; completely unlimited uses without drawbacks just allows you to spam a strong weapon and makes anything else pointless (Raijinto, anyone?); Fates' method of having drawbacks had potential, but some of those drawbacks were just too detrimental.

A specific amount of uses per map encourages players to use them but not to spam them. I like it.
