I mean technically Ingrid and Lysithea would be separate too because Charon is a crest originally from Faerghus and Daphnel is from Leicester.

Yeah, it's the monastery. You can see the cathedral interior.

Also, class abilities. Remember that these are locked to class.

Hero (male-only)

Swordfaire - Might +5 when a sword is equipped.
Vantage - Always attack first when under 50% HP.

Fortress

Axefaire - Might +5 when an axe is equipped.
Weight -5 - The combined weapon of equipment is reduced by 5.

Paladin

Move Again - Unit can use leftover movement after performing an action.
Lancefaire - Might +5 when a lance is equipped.
Terrain Resistance - Unit does not receive terrain damage.

Grappler

Gauntletfaire - Might +5 when a gauntlet is equipped.
Barehanded Battle - User fights with a gauntlet even if no weapon is equipped.

Warlock

Blackmagicfaire - Might +5 when black magic is equipped.
Black Magic Use x2 - Doubles the number of uses of black magic spells.

Bishop

White Magic Use x2 - Doubles the number of uses of white magic spells.
White Magic Recovery +10 - White Magic recovery amount +10
Terrain Resistance - Unit does not receive terrain damage.

Wait, Hero IS Male only then? And it has Swordfaire? I guess Female Byleth isn't going to be getting as much use out of the prf sword as Male Byleth then.

Then why is Brawler male only?

If this is just a better version of Brawler and its not gender locked.

And I can't wait to actually read about what Tea Time actually is.  Whatever it is, it's probably vastly superior to skinship, because skinship is really effin' weird and because sharing tea with someone is actually a social activity while... rubbing someone's face isn't.

And... wow, Bernie Detters looks quite different with that haircut.  She went from Katarina's Distant Interdimensional Cousin Thrice Removed to... a purple-haired mix between, uh... Karin and Saias from Thracia?  Though it also gives me semi Catria and Est vibes from it.

Please no time travel/mycastle shenanigans.  Mycastle contributed significantly to the bad tonal shifts and gameplay-story segregation issues present in Fates.  It was very difficult to take a lot of stuff in that game seriously when you could just warp people you care about and trust to a secret pocket dimension where time does not move the same, especially in Conquest where the characters actually had very good reasons to use the damn thing.

I'd rather it just simply be a home base.

Apparently not, Brawler is but not the upgraded version. These restriction seriously make no sense. I'm not that upset with having them but if you are going to have them at least make it bloody consistent instead of picking random classes at different tiers.

If you look at the Map and region names, then yes.

Yeah. I mean, I don't mind them in general, but I wish they'd make sense. Be consistent, rather than allowing one part of the class chain, but not another.

It remains to be seen of course, but with regular javelins and short spears existing(meaning regular spears potentially do too), I really don't know how this could be balanced.

As for Grappler not being gender locked, assuming it's not a mistake... I'd assume it's like Wyvern rider? As in lack of access, but only for one tier. Hopefully it's that.

Also funny how Hero is Swordmaster in everything but name here.

Also ye, we have to remember class skills aren't retained. It wouldn't surprise me if Swordmaster had the exact same loadout as Hero. Its just then weird that SWORDMASTER probably isn't gender exclusive (we've seen the sprites for it in both male and female class lists).

I don't know, you think they'd want to avoid that kind of redundancy. It does seem super-weird that Hero is basically Swordmaster from prior games in terms of skills though.

With the weapon system working as it is the gender exclusivity doesn't hurt that badly aside from males, despite everything.

They're presumably locked out of a movement option until Advanced tier now - unless some secret alternative has been hidden from us for Intermediate.

If Bishop and Paladin can share Terrain Resistance, Hero and Swordmaster can share Swordfaire. My guess is that all advanced classes get Faire skills (other than Bishop, which gets an equivalent skill).

Helm Splitter - 2nd Axe Combat Art

Costs 5 durability, but boosts Might by 7 and Critical rate by 5 and is strong against armoured foes.

Back Blow - 1st Gauntlet Combat Art

Costs 3 durability, boosts Might by 3, Hit rate by 10 and Avoid by 30. User moves one square backwards afterwards (like Hit and Run).

Cathedral

In addition to choir practice and the advice box, you can provide offerings to statues of 4 saints. Offerings are in the form of Renown, obtained via quests and battles. Basically, you have four different Renown reward boxes.

I believe the skill level bonuses are additional experience points when instructing.

Divine Cichol Statue

Axe +1 - 200 pts
Authority +1 - 300 pts
Experience +5% - 500 pts
Flying +2 - 1500 pts
Divine Pulse +1 - 2500 pts
Axe +2 - 3500 pts
Authority +2 - 4500 pts
Experience +10% - 7000 pts
Strength and Speed cap +5 - 9500 pts

Divine Cethlenn Statue

Lance +1 - 200 pts
Faith +1 - 300 pts
Experience +5% - 500 pts
Class Mastery +1 - 1500 pts
Divine Pulse +1 - 2500 pts

Experience +10% - 7000 pts
Luck and Charm cap +5 - 9500 pts

I meant a movement type. Males can be armored, infantry, or mounted at Intermediate

Girls can be all of those + flying at Intermediate.
