Maybe the 4th route comes from some controversial action that Edelgard does and the ‘decision’ is whether to support her or leave and start the resistance army?

While such theory is popular on Reddit, I found it weird.

If all Black Eagle followed Byleth except Hubert, then who's following Edelgard in this case? Wouldn't it be very unbalanced with severe lack of antagonists?

Also since you lost at least Edelgard and Hubert (maybe more), wouldn't it also greatly hamper your combat effectiveness since this game has small cast to begin with.

Thing there is supposedly a branch even with Claude from that reviewer on reddit. Its possible that 4th route is universal?

The reviewer said that your Charm stat level would influence a story decision on the Golden Deer path. He didn't say anything about there being a split or branching path.

Is that not the definition of a split path?

Since “Jerald goes missing,” as per Alois’ bio, perhaps he is kidnapped and experimented on by the church? It might explain why Tomas is actually Solon. Experimentation gone wrong?

Since Tomas/Solon actually states that he is “the savior of them all,” perhaps he wishes to escape the church and free the naive followers from the corruption it is trying to cause? Are those who slither in the dark actually the good guys?

Ah...that's quite a stretch and doesn't make sense at all...

If Jeralt was persecuted by the Church, there is no reason why he would come back to the Knights with Byleth at the first place. He would also told Byleth all the negative view about the Church when they grew up. He would certainly oppose Byleth to work for the church.

And someone saying they will save you doesn't mean anything, especially in Fire Emblem. Extremists often think they were saving others by forcing them to accept their view. Solon could very well believe anyone who doesn't agree with him was going to hell, and he was saving their soul.

Maybe Solon it's actually a well intentioned extremist, but who knows... We need to know what is the kind of salvation it's he talking about.

4chan /feg/, leaker with a review copy is giving info as he plays

As mentioned above 4chan, but if you don't want to plunge your head into the, uh, the interesting environment that exists on 4chan, there's a thread on the Fire Emblem reddit where people are collecting all the spoilers.

https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/cfia8c/leak_compendium/

It's a nice compendium of the leaked info, but of course it's not gonna be as up to date as the actual 4chan thread itself.

Thankyou, I'm gonna check that post

The fact that the Rhea/Sothis boxes were previously plain and now they're pink seems to indicate that they discovered something.

Congratulations on your marriage to someone you have no romantic attraction to!

I think they changed it to pink to indicate that it is a same-sex S support, rather than saying that it's romance. Also, marriage is possible doesn't necessarily mean that it will be marriage. And while they did change that, they also added the section stating that it's unknown whether the Sothis and Rhea supports are romantic. The author of the article even posted on twitter that he didn't know, but he didn't think it was likely because of unrevealed plot related reasons. Though he also said he was playing through and would find out before the game came out, so we'll see sometime this week when the site is updated again
