If female byleth, correct otherwise see the chart serene has provided. Also on the map with Sylvain's brother Spoiler he gets special dialogue during and after the fight. Spoiler In the month you fight Lonato's rebellion forces, you can bring Ashe with you and he'll have unique dialog when fighting Lonato. I think his only requirement is you're a woman. Yeah, you literally just have to ask to recruit him, and he'll join right up. He's literally the only recruit I have outside the house I've chosen.
