Instead of Duon, what if the boss on the Halberd Bridge in the Subspace Emissary was Metal Gear REX teaming up with a Kirby boss? The issue with shrinking REX is that it's designed to hold a human pilot. If the whole thing was shrunk, it wouldn't be able to do so. It would look awkward.
