bethany81707
A common observation, complaint or otherwise, is that the maps of Three Houses are frequently recycled. My goal here is to attempt to compile all the maps and their appearances, because I don't believe I've ever seen this contextualised. Forest Near Remire: Prologue Outskirts of Garreg Mach: Chapter 1, Auxiliaries Brionne Plateau: Catherine/Ashe Paralogue, Auxiliaries Zanado: Chapter 2, Sothis Paralogue, Auxiliaries Magdred Way: Chapter 3, Auxiliaries Seiros's Tomb: Chapter 4 Conand Tower: Chapter 5, DLC Auxilaries Teleporters of Garreg Mach: Chapter 6 Gronder Field: Chapter 7, Chapter 17 (VW/AM), Auxilaries Remire Village: Chapter 8 Unused Chapel: Chapter 9, Auxiliaries Sealed Forest: Chapter 10, Caspar/Mercedes Paralogue, Hubert Paralogue, DLC Auxilaries Holy Tomb: Chapter 11, Rhea Paralogue Garreg Mach: Chapter 12, Chapter 14 (SS/VW/AM), Chapter 21 (SS), Chapter 15 (CF) Ruins of Garreg Mach: Chapter 13 (SS/AM/VW) Ailell, Valley of Torment: Chapter 15 (SS/VW/AM), Dorothea/Ingrid Paralogue, Auxiliaries Great Bridge of Myrddin: Chapter 16 (SS/VW/AM), Chapter 13 (CF) Fort Merceus: Chapter 17 (SS), Chapter 18 (VW), Chapter 20 (AM) Enbarr: Chapter 18 (SS), Chapter 19 (VW), Chapter 21 (AM) Edelgard's Throne Room: Chapter 19 (SS), Chapter 20 (VW), Chapter 22 (AM) Shambhala: Chapter 20 (SS), Chapter 21 (VW) Deirdru: Chapter 14 (CF), Chapter 19 (AM), Alois/Shamir Paralogue Arianrhod: Chapter 16 (CF), Dimitri Paralogue Tailtean Plains: Chapter 17 (CF), Auxiliaries Fhirdiad: Chapter 18 (CF/AM) Swamps of Vengeance: Chapter 22 (VW) Gloucester: Lorenz Paralogue, Raphael/Ignatz Paralogue, DLC Auxiliaries Cichol Beach: Seteth/Flayn Paralogue, Auxiliaries Untamed Forest: Bernadetta/Petra Paralogue, Marianne Paralogue, DLC Auxiliaries Fodlan's Throat: Edelgard Paralogue, Hilda/Cyril Paralogue, Auxiliaries Adrestian City: Ferdinand/Lysithea Paralogue, Auxiliaries Faerghus City: Sylvain Paralogue, Felix Paralogue, Annette/Gilbert Paralogue, Auxiliaries Mountainside: Dedue Paralogue, Hanneman/Manuela Paralogue, Auxiliaries Sreng Desert: Claude Paralogue, Auxiliaries Lake Teutates: Linhardt/Leonie Paralogue, DLC Auxiliaries Any information on maps I missed, in Auxiliaries or otherwise, is appreciated. Rose482
I can see one of the reasons why they reused some of the maps is becasue they didn't have the space to add more of them in all honestly. That, or they just didn't want the game's size to be any bigger than it already is.
Technoweirdo
Quote New Expansion Pass Content: Additional auxiliary battles There are five additional auxiliary battles in the Expansion Pass: Battle at Lake Teutates, Battle in the Forest, Battle at Gronder Field, Battle at the Sealed Forest, and Battle at Conand Tower. Guessing Forest is Marianne's paralogue. Not sure if there's a second Gronder Field I should know about though. Buuut yeah, more to mark as auxiliary battles. Shame you have to pay for more variety in that department. Seriously, the number of times I've been to the mountains...

They usually do it to save on budget. As Fire Emblem fans, we saw this with Fire Emblem Warriors, where there were, like, probably 10 maps at most. Humanoid
They certainly didn't use the space on good texture quality. The skybox in particular is embarrassingly bad. Look up sometime.
Stroud
- The DLC Auxiliary also uses the Untamed Forest Map and Gloucester (Maybe Gronder Field is a mistake?). Also, I don't know where to put this Information but I think its a good place. At the moment I take note which boost items you get on each of the new DLC Auxilary Map. So far I have noted. Teutates Lake -> Gives Miracle Bean (Luck +1) or Ailell Pomegranate (Dex +1), Battle in the Plains (Gloucester) -> Golden Apple (Charm +1), Large Bullion Battle in the Forest (Untamed Forest) -> Ambrosia (Def+1), White Verona (Res +1). I am still missing the rest. Edited September 14, 2019 by Stroud
Hauke
I think there are so few maps because the existing maps are very detailed in the 3D third person view. But I really wish there would have been more.

But I really wish there would have been more. Yeah, it's about effort rather than disc space. Maps take a lot more effort to make than in the GBA days, and realistically their efforts were better spent on other parts of the game than ensuring that say Sylvain's and Felix's paralogues having separate maps. I guess I'd have liked more but much more important to me is the design of those maps (i.e. enemy composition and placement, objectives, etc.) myself. I don't mind that all the non-CF routes have a battle in Enbarr using the same map assets, I do mind that VW and SS use the exact same map design.
