Nudity Should Be A Human Right

Have you ever had a thermostat war? Have you heard the age old saying about adding layers when you are cold, but you can only remove so many layers before being escorted out the building? Well, I think people should go commando or even au naturel (nude) if they want to! Each person has their own thermal neutral zone, where their body can regulate temperature via releasing dry heat alone.

Anyways, yeah, just a closet nudist expressing his opinions. I get hot easily, so I prefer cold temperatures, preferably around 70°F to 75°F when I go caveman mode (lower towards 70°F if it is humid, but I can tolerate up to 75°F if it is drier), and no more than 70°F (the lower the better) when in civilized mode.

What is your ideal temperature range and how do you feel about abolishing dress codes at work and other formal gatherings? If I have my own business, I would have no dress code for my business.

Modesty has always frankly been a nonsensical reason to wear clothes but it's never been important enough to me to make it an issue.

We see feminist movements these days attempting to "free the nipple" and I agree with them that they should have that right but in reality, even where they legally can, you're probably never going to see any woman bare-chested in the streets.

By that theory, desert dwellers should be mostly nude.  Which they aren't.

Fabric choice goes a long way.

I think clothing in that case is more for keeping cool and protecting your skin by reducing sunlight exposure. I can tolerate being out in the sun all day, but that is only once I develop a tan. During the first week or two when I was a canvasser in the summer, my skin was a little peely and flaky. For a desert closer to the equator though, the sunlight is probably much stronger and I do not think even my tan can handle it.

While seeing boobies is nice, that is more of an unintentional benefit. The primary reason I want society to accept and embrace nudity is because I want to be comfortable. I hate wearing certain business/formal clothing because it is stuffy and not all that comfortable, and sometimes I just want to go commando because the weather is that hot and humid.

This reminds me of that one question: "Why is it okay to put naked statues outside but it's not okay to be outside naked?"

Same. I don't have to wear formal stuff often but I hate it. Go commando if you want though. In the formal clothing. Nobody's gonna check.

Used to occasionally go commando when I was a disgusting teenager. Then my cheap pants tore open at the seams on a day I thankfully wasn't.

I got the message.

No one wants to see me naked.

I'm always cold, so unless it's over 90 degrees, I'm still wearing multiple layers.  I wear flannel 90% of the time.  I only wear shorts maybe once or twice a year.

I will, however, show off my buff as shit legs if I want to.

I guess we've discovered the person who only ever has leg days, lmao

Commando's... quite different from nudity.

In any case, I only feel comfortable going commando at home.

I guess tbf you don't see a lot of men bare-chested in the streets.  Though that movement's about more than just a woman being allowed to bear their full torsos in public.

One's more liable to get much worse than a mere sunburn or tan exposed unprotected to the sun on high noon close to the equator, especially if you have paler skin.  As in, you might get skin cancer.

I'll say one time I was outside all day staining a fence for about three days.  First day I wore a tank top.  That day, I got nasty shoulder burns even in spite of me applying sunscreen.  Second day, I had constant exposure to the sun, and had to put on a long-sleeve shirt despite the risk of getting stain on it, because otherwise I'd just be too uncomfortable to work.

But even indoors, it's best to wear fabrics.  We are hairless mammals, our bodies can adjust to temperatures to some degree, but we evolved without the protection from elements that our evolutionary cousins kept.  I believe that's why we started wearing clothing, not for a need for modesty.  And why we chose to first cover the parts we focus so heavily on covering up is to better ensure we can reproduce most effectively.

I'd more just appreciate the idea that normalizing women exposing themselves like that would cause a decline in the "slut justification" for assault against women and allow women to breast feed normally without worrying about getting berated by judgmental people.

But it feels like there's two entirely different discussions going on here.  On one hand we're talking about women exposing their breasts in protest, and on the other we're talking about doing away with donning underwear when we go to work.

If we're gonna talk about doing away with dress codes, it depends on the place.  Schools, in my opinion, should not have dress codes; there's no reason to arbitrarily force students to always project themselves a certain way, and it's always revolting to me whenever faculty talk about sexualizing little girls.  For government jobs, the employees should be dressed in a way that enables them to best accomplish their tasks; police should wear utility belts and medical personnel should have sanitized clothing at all times when they're on the job.  For private businesses, I believe in their right to issue employee policies however they please so long as they allow unions to have a say in the matter.

Look at me writing paragraphs on a FftF thread

I mean no offense to anyone who wants to go around naked, but no one wants to see me naked. I want to see other people naked far less than anyone else wants to see me naked (so think in the negatives). If people were going around the streets naked I'd probably never leave my house lol. Then again there are benefits to living in the country - namely you can go around naked all you please and no one will care because you don't have neighbors!

Oh you have no idea.

I'm scrawny in every area that isn't my legs.

Also I've been taking tae kwon do for 6 years.

Even if I legally could there is no way in hell i'd go around naked outside at all (don't even do it at home). I just won't feel comfortable at all and I'd definitely not leave the house if everybody else was.

I hate wearing clothing indoors. I go caveman when in my room and if I feel cold, I wear a blanket. I do not like sleeping in my clothes, as it feels uncomfortable. In other areas of my house, I go Hulk style. I have a higher metabolism and a thicker fat layer under my skin, so I generally feel pretty warm. The only times I feel vulnerable to cold is when I feel sleepy or waking up.

i wouldn't mind to go around naked too much, even though i'm far from a fit man (1.85cm × 90kg, no i'm not calculating the ft-lb equivalents)

i sometimes stay naked when at home alone or with my gf, but yeah i always found it stupid that you have to pay for things that aren't food or water, yet the society considers as "against the law not to make use of"

The only place I'm naked is in the shower. I wear clothes pretty much all the time otherwise since I am cold quite often, and I am just not comfortable with my own body like that to just put it on display for everyone to see. I wouldn't be very comfortable either with seeing other people walking naked around the streets. Also that can get VERY awkward for guys VERY quick. Just sayin.

If this is trying to warn us about the danger of REVOCS taking over, this sort of news should be a lot more urgently spread around.  Me, I'll just be the last remaining Hanes guy.

Hanes is evil too. Embrace freedom and bring sunlight to brighten up the nether regions!

If it isn't, we're all born lawbreakers.

I'm mixed on this. The Greco-Roman-Hindu ideal? Beautiful. The earthly reality, well it is humanity in its purest state, thats nice, buuuuuuuutttttttttttt......

Is there a country with laws that guarantees skin freedom and clothing is completely optional culturally?

There's a lot I can say, and most of it would come off as insensitive. . .so lemme see if I can word this so it isn't.

Someone out there thinks you're beautiful.  If you're lucky, you know who they are, so give 'em a hug!

That's awfully nice of you.  Don't worry about offending me with stuff like that.

I feel disciriminated against very much so during summer and early fall here in Calfiornia.

No matter what anyone says, winter>summer because 5 layers of clothing isn't I,legal but no layers, the most obvious solution in hot public places is a crime.

People need to get over the idea of "ew fat people!" Or "impure!"

its called your birthday suit for a reason and if guys wanted to wear a loin cloth for obvious reasons I understand but that I should be free to not give a  damn about whether or not my boner is showing.
