Chapter 5

Spoiler

GFpFbff.png

Roy-1.png: All right folks, I have a plan. We go around the mountain and seize the castle. Step 1, put Rutger on the fort before the enemy takes it.

zvfK6N0.pngQlbXf0S.pnghpmNThO.png

Allen.png: Roger
Clarine-1.png: Urgh, why me?

PlT7MJS.png

Roy-1.png: Step 2, old man goes backward and stay on those mountains.
Merlinus-1.png: Mountains sounds safe.

ITaAAeq.png

Roy-1.png: Everyone else regroup and have some snacks.

oHUwxrq.pngRu6rCJ7.png

Rutger.png: …
RVmNmId.png

Roy-1.png: All right Rutger, leave this one to me.
Rutger.png: …

zqDJI8r.pngMxNmi6k.pngW0V1WMb.png

Roy-1.png: These guys are tough, Lugh could you help?

Ytjkcpm.pngywKEGxo.png

Lugh-1.png: Magic is everything!
Chad.png: Hey, you stole that line.

AT3C5DE.png

Jiegan.png: Allow me to block the path to the others sire.

rlyo03n.png

Merlinus-1.png: I feel kind of sleepy

R09Gere.pnghONoGXm.png

Roy-1.png: Nice, these guys can't touch us while we're on these forts

PbiJtnx.png

Rutger.png: He can

tXx2gcd.pngbdoFBXt.pngdbICtN5.pngoXfXv06.png

Roy-1.png: All right guys, let's cut our way through on some of them

AeRx42l.png

Jiegan.png: We should be careful with their nomads.

MgK6poF.png

Merlinus-1.png: I think I'll take a nap on these mountains

lAEms8I.pngkF9Na8f.png

Rutger.png: Weak

fzDiiMl.pnghqztumF.png

Lugh-1.png: Oh crap, they are onto me!!
Roy-1.png: Whoops, sorry about that banana boy, I'll pay more attention next time.

MRKIHpM.png8eZR33i.pngdOPtWsl.png

Roy-1.png: Take out one more of them.

KkXJ5d5.png

Jiegan.png: I'll take the forest for our defense.

pAmw5lq.pngMHkgeMv.png

Dieck.png: Well, I guess it's time to soften these guys a little.

InLJQj6.pngTAkwDre.png

Roy-1.png: Ooh, going in for the kill!

thhWHvD.png

Roy-1.png: I feel like I became a bit stronger.

ekHUo1R.pngDDZBj0i.png

Lance.png: Let's go Alen, we can form a defensive line here.

ZzWCp6h.png

Bors.png: Come here little boy, they can see you.
Lugh-1.png: Heeey

NpX6y46.pngucVtHEk.png

Lance.png: Whoa, these guys can do a lot of damage, better be careful.

Xvu9C3d.png

Merlinus-1.png: Zzzzzzzz

QngBF0n.pngWzENeIu.png

Lance.png: Oh God, somebody help me, please!

SczA62y.png

Roy-1.png: Marcus, you were right, these nomads are dangerous.
Jiegan.png: Our Rapiers and Horseslayers also won't work against them,

TWULkAQ.png2gz3amG.png

Dieck.png: I smell dead people around here.

WZnwaaV.png

Ellen.png: Here Lady Clarine, use this staff to heal our wounded allies. Btw, why do you have a Fire tome with you?
Clarine-1.png: I don't remember.

Zx72DE5.png

Clarine-1.png: Flying to the rescue!!

8xXVCqq.png7XL9iUo.png

DNFhYUV.png

Rutger.png: …

ER75raq.pngvKthVKd.png

Allen.png: Their formation is falling apart.

DNzUyz7.pngQhUCI0N.png

Lugh-1.png: Attacking archers from range is fun!

UAnZQAO.png

Roy-1.png: Look at our banana growing.
Chad.png: Please don't say that again…

fMbEhpI.pngxJE5jio.png

Lance.png: We cornered this nomad, he doesn't stand a chance now.

RliYx6I.pngRqq4ZHN.png

Bors.png: Heh, no Close Counter sucks for him.

I7yBbs6.png

Merlinus-1.png: Zzzzzzzz

kC01UY5.png

Thany.png: Oh look, I found a lance. It looks very strong, but it's kind of heavy.

WSUgV05.png

Roy-1.png: Let's march forward, but keep that nomad cornered.

UfnH5l3.pngmxv9oe1.pnga7SixZb.png

Lugh-1.png: We defeated him!

Ver3Kog.png

Clarine-1.png: Here you go Lugh, take this fresh Fire tome. Btw, why are you holding a Steel Blade.
Lugh-1.png, I don't know, you can have it.

1lZmFUd.pngyYm2cwp.png

Rutger.png: Let them come to us.

LOSOztr.png

Rutger.png: Scrubs can't hit me.

oYEdOUO.png

Merlinus-1.png: Zzzzzzzz

u3OgVKI.pngQy1m92j.png

Jiegan.png: It looks like those bandits have only 19% chance to hit our wagon.

p7wB6SA.png

Lance.png: Oh no, another nomad is ahead of us.

UMvCGOQ.png5yhNA4q.png

Rutger.png: Who wants this kill?

8SJw6ix.pngyfuvaxk.png

Allen.png: Allow me.

tLbGeHz.pngE51vCOc.png

Clarine-1.png: Behold the power of my healing technique
Rutger.png: Girl, it's just 1 hp

lgnxSj2.pngJ36lCvP.png

Jiegan.png: We need heavy attacks against him

QHAbJkO.png

Thany.png: Here Lance, use this lance to defeat our enemy.
Lance.png: I'd rather have him run at me instead, he's too fast.

ThBZwqy.png

Lance.png: Just as planned

XYeTSW7.pngPOi9nlk.png

Merlinus-1.png: Oh no!

8tNKMUz.png

Roy-1.png: They are on to us now. Proceed with caution.

BKpERZI.pngkKm2Pis.png

Rutger.png: …

lsFHMnY.pngyZ7Iozs.png

Allen.png: Just like last time.

Oa5Jawl.png

Allen.png: Lance, one day I'll surpass you.

eOf1zWi.png

Clarine-1.png: Healing Power!
Lance.png: Hey, could you heal ME instead?

HAJ4BVC.png

Thany.png: Time to go for that fort. I'll block it's front door somehow.

r1oH2Eg.png

Allen.png: Lance, what's with your arm?
Lance.png: It's out of control!!

Zdx7YOg.pngCbt2rOL.png

Rutger.png: I need healing

7xhmKdj.png

Clarine-1.png: Sorry, you are too far away, can't hear you
Rutger.png: …

qVzhxGm.pngCIaMo6C.pngpsFiZNC.png

Roy-1.png: Rangers, attack that evil mercenary!

wXnQMZ2.png

Lance.png: Don't worry Rutger, I'll save you

97HzPXR.pngDhhWljU.pngxEu9M04.png

Allen.png: I'm having a killing streak.

s8aJj0o.pngHAnvVwO.png

Jiegan.png: Old man still got it.

PgkZrjW.png

Thany.png: Front door is blocked.
Roy-1.png: Good job Shanna. Chad, get over there and lock all their doors.
Chad.png: I'm a thief, I'm opening locks, not closing them.
Roy-1.png: Same thing.

0jUqz9v.png

Clarine-1.png: You must be grateful!
Rutger.png: …

YdUbPbk.png

Clarine-1.png: I come froma a fine bloodline, so this is only expected.
Bors.png: Did she just turned into her Heroes self?

4OaPb0v.pngkBbrtfA.png

Roy-1.png: Almost there, let's bait more of them.

dEsHCsO.png

Lance.png: I'm too young to die…

J7WmZrj.png

Roy-1.png: Pegasus Riders are strong against mages, Shanna can bait on the other side.
Bors.png: (Should I tell him it only works in thr sequels? Hmmm…)

xVUiXye.pngBHAMB4n.png

Roy-1.png: This Rutger-Alen combo is really working out.

NTqDlEx.pngjpXgdRk.png

Clarine-1.png: I shall save you!

Sl8NxmC.pngVvFIthF.png

Jiegan.png: You are in their sight boy.

yM4iWsG.png

Roy-1.png: I place Dieck in bait mode to lure that fool from the mountain and end my turn. This is now piece of cake.

jo1qW05.png

Rutger.png: Wtf, that's a Steel Blade!?

KPTtWIv.png

Dieck.png: Wait, 7% really?

fooyN30.png

Thany.png: Heeeelp, my pegasus feathers are burniiing!
Roy-1.png: …

pDrIDrW.pngGpjvSxK.png

Ellen.png: Someone said fried wings?
Thany.png: She's creepy

8bxE5ws.pngLoQ0pgM.png

Allen.png: No, my luck just ran out!

Ge0hffg.pngRnVQvYW.pnghD3clbb.pngU9w9YkT.png

Bors.png: Heh, you can't double me? What's wrong with you?

oBhxrHN.pngKHOsaWY.png

Lance.png: I've got him.

zBwTViY.pngTWGk4LO.pngqVDGTV6.png

Roy-1.png: You've got to be kidding me.

c2DEM4k.pngbvVy66R.png6398orR.png

Wolt-1.png: I'm sorry, I'm sorry

QDJDESl.pngvtuxuw4.png

Roy-1.png: At least banana boy got him

56qp97y.pngN5JhA5I.png

Jiegan.png: He's weakened, take it little ones.

ebJekIH.pngPSG3IKK.png

Thany.png: Death from above!

eXQIYYV.png

Roy-1.png: That guy looks sturdy, it might take a few turns for you to take him out Dieck.

L66XcNt.pngAzsskk9.png

Dieck.png: A few turns, eh? Hold my beer!

JjaRT55.pngmAN5PPd.pngvV6eDCk.png

Wolt-1.png: Here comes their reinforcements.

maPYzYE.png68A7M5F.png

Ellen.png: There there pegasus.

TYaAP06.png

Roy-1.png: Hey Elen, I think I saw a bench over there.

Rutger.png: Axes will never beat me.

icCowyr.pngnWNHFPE.png

Lance.png: Coming through!

i9yknjO.pngnRsB9iX.pnggcv7AIb.png

Lugh-1.png: Time to soften the big guy

8s70K8R.png

Bors.png: Get back here, he also has a Hand Axe.

0bNxm95.pngbwRJcLC.png

Allen.png: Back in business for the killing.

sFXQQvP.pngZYTdyMk.png

Clarine-1.png: Stay alive old man.

jZamGJm.png

Chad.png: I told you I can't lock doors.
Roy-1.png: Just stay there for a while.

G8HvXBW.pngDfTQ0AE.png

Lance.png: I feel like I am getting faster.

IZ40IY0.pngWT5hDRP.png

Lugh-1.png: This is going to take a while.

OAIp3Qh.pngVwdnUP8.png

Lance.png: The way is open, we should move in.

Wade.pngLot, check this out. This map is swarming with lance users.

Lott.pngNice, axes will have a clear advantage on this map.

WljxTT0.png

Roy-1.pngI'm going with this team.

Sorry, I didn't had time to write the whole thing, so I'll switch back to more simplistic post.

Spoiler

3Z5BKng.pngyCVIl65.png

Dieck and Lance will bait the swordsman, who are the fastest enemies on the map. Once they are done, the rest should be easy.

10jaLS4.png

Also gave some toys for Dorothy, as I have more fate in her that most people.

0N52WVW.pngHbkUU7T.png

The bait worked as expected.

Va6i9mq.pngWTcBSLf.pngjT3UTZZ.png

The right one was taken care with the help of Lugh.

7XEO8H8.pngYitjnjK.png

And Dieck on the other side reached Lv. 10. I think that's a good thing, but I'd push his levelling futher more before promotion, his stats are not quite there yet.

UnCy00Q.pngHrSgN2H.png

9yL2mib.pngWj5hXXR.png

wpcAyN4.pngo2DuaUz.png

I rushed on the mages.

7if6QWe.png5YMy8FR.png

2 healers were enough to patch them up afterward.

QgVEXi0.pnglzE50dm.png

Just had to rescue drop Clarine out of the danger zone and we're set.

fEUTR3m.pnggBUhmSU.png

CLPtAjE.pngvy3cdel.pngxydvkKa.png

They were in the awkward position where 3 attacks were able to target them. Fortunately everybody survived.

sZ1M0KB.pngDZyn4jV.png9QgxcJV.png

And here's another kill for Shanna, I think she needs some exp.

cm4dfT8.pnguOgu3AZ.png

Had no choice but to get Rutger out of there.

V1p0wVt.pngekNwwRK.png1vdBQGY.png

Found some room for Dorothy to deal some damage. It's nice to see her double this early on.

qmhviDV.pngCPhljCI.png

Also there was an unexpected Marcus-Roy support conversation.

PqnlxbH.png

Healers gonna heal

gvZa1Fl.pngbHcLzSd.png

On the right the cavs prepare with Javelins against those bad guys.

WY3AkmR.png

You can't touch Shanna. Noone can.

SLRkZpu.pngYP6j3ez.png

That worked out pretty well.

Gm1JKaj.pngheGSH6U.png

NylwHdz.png0Y2ejoe.png

I think after getting rid of the armored knights the rest should be easy. Simple soldiers with lances are very slow in this game.

LVXSH6j.pngJUDk0O7.png

Dorothy agrees with me.

ni0S6dd.pngyPMf3gi.png

Hey, if there's a kill for Roy, he should take it.

CXr6c1J.png

I'm going to leave Shanna here and hope that the guy on the left will run into her.

tiw4uvd.png

Much needed healing for Alen.

24pZJhN.pngVkpVU64.png

This is perfect. Who should take the kill?

bzU8U8b.pngaS7jrnm.png

I know this is silly, but this way I can get rid of both of them this turn.

T2QisM1.png8Hu9CGT.pngkdmoOuQ.png

I think Rutger should catch up with Dieck as soon as possible, so I'll get him a free kill.

mGbrcyc.png

Had to heal Dieck, now that we talk about him.

wfJxM2Q.png

My point with Shanna still stands.

nXogOF6.png

Chad is en route for his job to raid the right side of the map. There's plenty of loot for this run over there, and little things to do on the left. We'll get Sue with the Door Key.

io3OIyC.png7YFDvPz.png

Just as planned, the way on the right is open. Once Cath shows up, Roy is ready to go.

lcwF3vc.pngLe8qRGk.png

And that was the last of them.

2cUDg29.png

Marcus needs healing.

FoymtaU.png

Lance will have the honor to rescue Sue from her imprisonment.

3YvdCIt.pngfbE5jOE.png

Ah, perfect timing. I have no idea why she didn't move on the first turn, but I think it's because all the ways were blocked by my units. This is the first time I experienced this.

Bev3sP0.pngpEbqlzT.png

Time to Unlock Doors.

1HTk3V4.pngwk0Cs6S.png

The next turn Roy and Cath had a little talk. No rewards, but at least she stops opening doors and chests and heads to the exit instead.

kwfFnGB.png

Hey guys, here's some money. Use it for whatever you want it to.

KTamwzL.png

You think Dorothy is in target sight, but it's actually that guy who's in her range now.

Iwb2Xj0.pngOL2n4Hp.pngCB5Ww3U.png

This was unusual from me, but instead of carrying Roy all the way over there, I brough Sue outside instead. It works just as well.

1qhxiRt.pngh4SveDc.png

With this guy out of the way, it's time to move the others up in the middle. We did a lot of things down there already.

ExJwYxN.png

Thanks Chad, that makes up for all the Silver Lance uses I had in the last chapter.

BaHfSfD.png

I am the protagonist of this game, and you are my slave now. She's a good unit, if you want I can support her résumé.

NHZEKDi.pngZOGcDVG.png6OUGeUc.png

I call this a good level up on Dorothy. Watch out.

htq61px.pngCozgHL2.png

I can take the Lockpick from her? Don't mind if I do.

e3sm2LP.pngu56ARZ2.png

Chad is getting a lot of things on his hands, time for Lugh to help him out.

3n89XS0.pngWy8JQI6.png

I wanted to work on their support too.

QKT8bmZ.pngPeh83I7.png

The first wave has arrived, and we're in range for the party.

0qbDIKb.png

Sue is heading right, as Chad will get something for her very soon.

YYyLBI1.png

Saul is going to block the reinforcements from the bottom.

aZEaf8Q.pngASDbe8v.png

This went better than expected.

54Syt59.png

3rd door is open right here.

2Olm3AK.png

Umm, Marcus. If you could do some chip damage, that'd be great.

CSl5OQJ.png

Marcus-1.png I'll show these young folks how we battled in my days.

Marcus! Stop stealing the exp!!

VASWJ5O.png6boeRLU.png

Dieck, you can have the exp of course. We don't want the archers around here.

xfQyBjK.pngbb8Jj1b.png

Dorothy arrived just in time for the party.

Y7BxclA.pngnuCc8KH.png

unJCMaC.png

No growth in Str, but overall this is very satisfying. We need to make this work. (also, go Ilia route)

W1mCGJ8.pngdcUkDrG.png

cfHVLvw.png

Alen is slowly turning into a Lance.

W5yENjY.pnghbWMpNE.png

And Rutger still need a lot of exp for the promotion.

7jJLA20.pngmI3DDoc.png

Clarine though...

iK1nLR2.png

Don't worry, Saul is doing all right.

lwONfsv.pngm76DpBw.png

I forgot to check on the range of the mage. Guess it's time to get rid of them already.

SDYs5RP.pngF6yaRj8.png

Sue is now ready to roll.

IiZwc2m.pngPfhzwBy.pngpZA8044.png

Why can't you just die?

8NcNMZR.pngCojYR5l.png

Ok, time to collect my thoughts. This Rutger death hit me really hard. How am I going to explain this one?

HpFiarS.pngVcdDTTg.png

These mages are indeed no jokes.

Rszt39j.pngtXPmxju.png

But that makes the perfect kill for me.

tbdbCPH.pngNbD4Bk7.png

I did a healing, but that was some damage on her instead. Good thing she levelled Res, as she's not quite a dodgetank just yet.

nrvaN7U.png

I wonder who's going to play with this one. Gonzales maybe?

fb6cMZ0.pngbibm8cR.pngK3xIZnf.png

Thank god all the mages are gone.

rauXSgL.png

Also I don't want to be IN the room when the reinforcements ambush spawns us.

YJIdfrn.png

Speak of the devil, ...

aLe7Pa8.png

It's that time of the day again.

yF1K3wa.png

Right side is done, Chad is ready to travel to the west now.

You can stick that triangle advantage right up your ...

Gt7XMRX.png

Oh look, Lance is getting closer to Alen now.

WbAB1Gs.pngwzqMoiy.png

There's another freebie for Dorothy.

sbMkm48.pngdLYphgC.png

Also I don't want the mages to stick around here.

3iWzzHs.pngJgrsTbB.png

Let's prepare Marcus for the takedown.

QzPhHrF.pngt6LpKBz.png

In this case, exp stealing is a-ok.

IoQTg0u.png

And we call it a turn.

P7KtqQb.png

Saul agrees.

NZmsVPU.pngdrGqneI.png

This is what Binding Blade is all about.

gkGRjbt.pngvfDbFQb.png

Reasonable kill for Lugh.

uKAf6mg.pngRLAXh8P.png

I could wait another turn to get rid of this guy, but Armorslayer will be available again soon enough.

iTtuf7y.png

Ok, the boss might be a headache without Rutger.

5rz5Kat.pngbQy39oY.png

So I decided to just leave Dieck there to be close and personal. I even let the boss attack first, I'm a nice guy you know.

vG5IqdI.png

Preparing the Chadtrain.

CTfa9rh.pngKaOqZDA.png

jwXxnc3.png

Oh, very nice. The level up is not so nice though.

eF08GN8.pngBAYLLXD.png

And we're there already.

gJvKQJl.pngf30XOw2.png59E7jDO.png

I really want him to die this turn. I mean the boss of course.

sG5IfiL.png9V0wE6Y.pngDyK0Klk.png

Oh, son of a gun.

kgUDNi8.pngrTCUizx.pngGaYxt7n.png

At least he gave me a favour by attacking Dieck instead of Marcus.

csaZDro.pngdejwepP.png

And it's gone!

nTA3U7Y.pngcGfDKN0.png

All that's left is to cash in...

5F25tHO.png

...allow the reinforcement to come in...

C4r7x5v.png5Xg0dSA.png

...and to give some exp for Dorothy.

HpJY0gc.png

You see why I'm doing this yet?

jieZ3xj.png

Anyway, no room left to rescue her, so I just seized. Didn't care about the Unlock staff, so sorry about that @Saint Rubenio

The way I modified my schedule you have next week to finish it if you want (as I set it up for some overlap between finishing the writeup and the next players play time), but its fine if you want to leave it as is as well.

I call this one the Groin Attack 5000. Because it hurts about as much as one.

I'm sorry for being so late to say this, but I think I'm going to pass up on this.

See, my turn just so happened to arrive the one week when I had every single exam of this term. Had the last one just yesterday. It wasn't that bad, but I was tired going back home, and I just never were in the mood for FE6. That didn't help, but the real problem is that, while this idea sounded fun in paper... as it turns out, playing with a stranger's team really isn't that enjoyable for me. It's not Rutger's absence (to be honest that made me happy, if anything), but... I don't know, a great part of the magic of FE for me is getting to build my team from scratch, watching it grow. In a playthrough of this sort, that is lost entirely. Then you add one of the game's hardest chapters on top of all that, and, well... I struggled to play through like half of chapter 7 a few days ago, and it was not great. I don't think I'm going to enjoy this.

So yeah, really sorry again for quitting in the middle of my turn and wasting everyone's time, but I think I want out of this project. Still, it's a good idea, just not my cup of tea, so don't take this the wrong way. Wish the rest of you luck. I'll keep an eye on this, as an outsider.

Fair enough, if want to join back in at a latter time, just ask.

Go ahead and put me up. We're kind of low on people and I still don't have a Switch for 3H.

Do you want to be dropped right into the deep end with chapter 7+8, or be added to the rotation.

To the rotation, I am not trusting myself keeping everyone alive with those two. 😛

That was draining. It could have gone a lot worse,

Spoiler

chapter 7 still claimed three deaths, and it feels like two of them were easily avoidable if I were just paying more attention.

Taking a peek at the savegame. Looking at the body count mainly.

Lugh, Lance and Dorothy?

I wanted to prove that Dorothy is a worthy unit and you killed her? I am slightly mad about this.

Lugh being dead is going to be hard for some people. The way I look at it, it's time to train up Lilina into the cutest nuclear launch in history.

Lance is in my eyes the best cavalry unit in this game, but other than slowing the chapters down, it's not a critical loss.

Note to self, Dieck is ready.

Also Wendy levelled up? Are we that desperate already?

Welp, time to modify my everything.  I think I can pull this off without killing anyone.  I'm just going to have to turtle faster.  But once again, I'll give this a shot on Sunday.  I'm late for lunch!

Sorry, her ability to actually hurt armors made her a little too tempting to use.

I may have been having a bit too much fun with the triangle attack. (I guess that is a spoiler for next update)

Now onto the chapter 7 update. This one was particularly long, hence the spoiler tag.

Battle Journal: Battle of Ostia, the day before.

With the impregnable gates of Ostia before us, its seems all the other tacticians have found convenient excuses not to face it. I on the other hand, have been practicing simulated battles of Ostia with Roy for weeks, going through the tactics of generals as diverse as the legendary DonDon, to Mangs the neverpunished in preparation. Although I suppose I should give a bit of context for why the Lycian League has to take the March of Ostia.

The battle wont commence until tomorrow morning, but Merlinus and I have snuck into the city proper under the guise of merchants to scout out the city, which has payed dividends beyond our wildest expectations. Seems Hector hired some mercenaries from Illia to aid the Lycian League, and they remain loyal to our cause, although they were far too cautious to take us at our word. Roy should be able to convince them to join us in battle, but the older one had a worrisome look in his eye, like someone looking for a cause worth dying for. I think I will make reaching them my number one priority. On a more worrisome note, there are wyverns patrolling the inner walls of the castle, which will make tommorow's assault a lot more dangerous, but there are too few here to indicate that Bern has full control over the city. Hopefully I can put an arrow through Bern's plans for Ostia.

As for who will lead the assault my first though is

Marcus is unable to wield the axes that would be effective against the numerous armored and mounted knights that Ostia is famous for, so against my better judgment I will let Lot tag along instead of Shanna.

Jerrot is proving himself to be a highly effective Jeigan, feeding this kill so easily to Wolt

U3JhjSd1rfUBPOAUWts5daYjYfHE5FNZFObD-C6K

which makes him dodgier.

Marcus on the other hand

e1zokm2dhjmI8I3-oU-91c8f_P7pE1E-QWLbhA-MI0aoYfWVw7hJncfRZFY5DFgB59RzQROrQbFpB3t_

Needs to heal, and should be able to setup a nice kill next turn, if he enemy phases with the horse slayer.

mYh3riwVRatJ7wa3EbRLgGvVtMGzMEIpFXYlUyfX

With that extra speed Wolt gets the kill Jerrot teed up even easier.

x9MlTs-RcvDEb5P_ZvRIj48K9jmxUAXQ-dkj2__3

Marcus still needs a heal after that Silver hit, but

after some rescue dropping

This one was just defensive enough that Wolt really needed that extra speed.

OOfk6evd6knNL0UhJCpHhhx2Pm2J_K9YWZMy2ybe

Unfortunately Marcus isn't easily able to setup the kill, so he will get some chip with an axe instead.

60oYOGxa_vr6JDQnZoOOYRjSipI9FBDQf6Nu0zfs

At least Wolt is getting all these easy kills. If this continues at this pace... I need to finish these guys before the next set arrive, so

0kcQ5BsFOYgUR0uwfjKyX8t7GllzCy03kw0T5wwh

Marcus passes off the horseslayer

XVrrrOcn6Cgdpg6f6NwyGvN4nY05IoLvKqy4XqMv

but it is a little too heavy (and inaccurate) for that to be safe, so he switches to a basic iron to hold the point (he can just barely survive both the silver and javelin)

fmkDlDSOsEvY8fdXYB03IGMd-7ldfmePDRFRCxu5

Lugh softens him up next turn, for

grmkSmx1un8oMMMQgHDAxFgDO4Pvz4U0adMMDxk2yuwgHwBwGorYV8Z_g7JxyuusBcBY3LPqWOsqcv8N

Noah to get the kill, and bulk up while doing so, and Trek finishes the last with the horseslayer again.

This is starting to get routine, but thankfully that is the last of them.

0KNvdKsS-JYy6miy1oSVYxKC7WIQhy1102Z8pvAk

And Treck gets bulkier for his troubles. Now all that remains is the Boss, and that last healer, but there is more of the city to secure first.

This is strangely emotional, but it's a nice type of spice to add to the LP. I wonder if the tacticians will have any character development? Like you becoming overwhelmed by your deaths? IDK, just a thought but maybe a bit too dramatic then.

Sorry for the recap fanfare, but I felt we all needed a morale boost. I've got to finish taking this castle. We are still preparing our assault squad, but there is an opportunity to gain some vital info from Legance himself.

Perhaps I shouldn't be selling myself so short. Our small numbers have moved mountains here, but those lives lost plague my conscience still, and our small numbers makes the losses more pronounced.

I've got to find some way to save her. If she died I don't know how...Roy will take that.

Now to decide on our assault squad. The natural choice is the 3 cavaliers, Deke, both Jeigans, Shanna, Saul, Clarine, and of course Roy, but after a bit of looking around, I decide I need a thief. Now I decide to let Jerrot take over for Marcus, but I almost instantly regret that as

Hopefully Narcian takes his time, for taking as great a city, and castle, as Ostia is no quick affair. Bern is a great distance away, so there is a fair chance of that, but Wyvern can cross great distances quickly, if they need to.

I start with a bit cautious of opening. Jerrot should be able to survive all the soldiers and archer no problem, and the rest can take one hit at least. The construction of this winding hall is going to make it hard to reach Lilina. She is going to have to find some way to survive on her own until we reach her. I hope she can find some way of escaping those assassins.

fczOxIu4WDhP6D-1ehlB2tW_whq3NVArw2cDgEen

... it missed, but at least Wolt can...miss as well.

Then things get even more complicated. Lilina comes charging down the corridor, release by one of the thieves searching for treasure, and enemy pursuit is right on her heels. She is rushing towards the protection of Jerrot, but once those enemies come she will get trapped in as Cath has blockaded the door, frozen with indecision. Have we blocked her way out, same as she blocks Chad and Jerrots (and soon Lilina)? This calls for a dangerous maneuver, for Jerrot can't hold off an army forever (at least without a healer), and I will not let Lilina die.

XypzlJYFTtB8fnRR_Vdh27B40zu54k79XzFLrVXa

...She still wont move. Why wont she move? Seems I gave ground for nothing. Fortunately none of the other swordsmen are quite as fast as that first, which should make it easier to rebuild our defensive line.

Lets jump slightly ahead with Deke killing the nearest archer, and setting the front of our defensive line

6HYmyhODVKsxzNIlwizUIYpKSe_ek3LObGTn4iJzc2rmQMFnrrzz7QRpKGPLwR6Wju4hUmdbGPUo9HJ_

and improves even more (I think I missed an earlier level up image as well, so sorry for lacking the details of the missed levelup screen)

But a bit before that Noah finally finishes that duel he has been having with an archer

Tgef7vZ2RdxoR72WlAjxaLagr_iLEvdkMEAxFe0g

and Wolt and Barth finish one of the swordsmen

RZZ0eDbzLW1mOEIIpdK0HQqSogGtUU3i6AaGkozoRoYU-5JUJ4ULeB64tLgVMDtpWs3YWRvhPs2-WN6P

which lets Shanna

-h9jsJXL50SX0wrmbgqM3hkKtAUanKbQANYwOUzH

borrow his steel lance to

9Zb7M3klNiyAwu7_evF29kCvRmw9XeljuVX-LPWr

finish off the soldier,

dWpS63gv5DFkaB_Y_t7ms3HAJlxAkLF44k4LzRSk

which lets her improve her accuracy further.

Finally Roy

4V6oAhCHYDSx52GfRY4ckEDnJaiHsuONNG_iYd6e

finishes the other swordsmen, and the last enemy behind our new lines.

0I27IBcs1BlfXKmz2SoOxSubFersaibQ_J4cTLfL

Clarine comes to the conclusion dodging is the only way she will survive, and makes a concerted effort to get some practice in while healing the troops.

laeGRBENjuXbRVIa_hQgMFOt2EsdhP9QiG1gmRty

With Allen taking the other key point in the line, and Lilina getting safely into the treasury, we have built a safe defensive line.

1_Wbn9T8vIYhUGj9b9uNbaHoS6Ls9v3eAsBMngoQ

Noah manages to kill the other archer that was distracted by Allen before, and it looks like we have outlasted the enemies that were sent after the Ostian loyalists.

Unfortunately we haven't outlasted Cath's internal monologue.

After some healing, Deke

WX1aqVY1x7OOuDqMqQWzpQ9BfFTLw6c04cWqcKRV_7cZ11OQpPy_g3mfEgLbYSnhhPV6UdwQeB0BCi_w

deals with the swordsman in front of him, and Allen

9ZtR7QGFOd4f523PTFXY1ZOjRBL49Va8eP0jnuD0

wipes out the soldier.

After Allen gets healed up, and some rescue dropping to protect the healers, we are ready for the enemies in the north, but

z766Xeac7X6yseMyE0xb9uVD02R4k2BWXFZOvpt4

Jerrot is about to face off against a wave of enemies himself, and he is still trapped in there with no means of healing.

MilzbNang3NfEaedw6LDvPgnL5GGHfJAFBRW0iSD

Allen easily removes the soldier, and Deke

etR2ghcVH3S2FrpdLWfrjPk_PmqmOod7R3c0fOqpNaIIE0HQ7G17HhVRTLq5G463ijEdzp7DYdSXddAq

gets the critical kill on the swordsman.

This makes it easy

_SxElJydrIDXS5366k8uI-uzH84J35vRSE9OChKoYkJaQMnOKYuRdKnu1okpFmFDVryqBByDmtCoFL-_F1euSBFRRgnj8v6ucpfn-ORwRmcnTPA8SDRsOTOB

to kill that last archer,

3xpzgDXHEwF68I0Z-wiDqRVR5L0h0jSsF-TOEzH6

which let Wendy practice the speed and accuracy of her lance strikes.

Jerrot on the other hand isn't holding up well, he wasn't fully healed when he got trapped, and is too busy blocking the doorway to dodge. He can survive this turn, but if Cath doesn't get out of the way...Oh st. Elmine, I don't think I have it in me to order the death of that child, but if I can't get her out of the way Lilina and Chad will die as well. Please move, by the grace of st. Elmine PLEASE MOVE ...please move I'm begging you...

CYlTxhcHPy6stxJ00n7GsTwwtHclsy3zavzfJlo4

Oh praise all of the saints. Chad, Lilina, and Jerrot are saved.

gAIUcs-V3frFSmyM4nglDPNMcRaLWqZSXvToObGG

That was uncomfortably close.

1KsjaBcYTrDlGS_b3r-WuuuepVdHzzT6iPlQfjf3a4NcvL-f07eHqt4xsGc1flrsmqkeO9ic9b4cXpql

This may seem cruel, but that older, creepier thief was just staring at Cath that whole time, and I didn't feel comfortable letting him follow her.

Now we prepare for the wave coming from the south east

rOdhViMOv1OCXs0ONbdhJxKn7JX0ObrN1YT9ueSl

and Saul is strengthening both his magical techniques as well as defense while healing our army.

ZMKXLl7fH5LUX9iUI506fJjur01EqZZH7XhKOBbnbH9NkXDn9A23ZwDxjNxisij-C2SWsfn_DExaL-oY1cgVJo5I-UHjhAp1eVnv1YgVtzwJH03OcyLZZXMV

With Lilina safely behind our lines, Roy finally has the chance to celebrate their survival in these harrowing times.

rCXA_ndQAz8XohKcmTAU34C0IA2Y2Wy6dbRHTWA1HrGIJBA5Bn8us5bbPf1fwEiPivVeYcXDVbHlbGxTBPT9A7LxpRGuL5itBa1rgn1VMECsvG9L-IMxJOX9

I am glad Roy planned ahead, as the rest of our tomes...sorry I don't have the heart to say it.

Now there is another complication

FVIOA7QVizH1ZxputJYJX-0_CZ6_n22C8lZTI74_

some of the enemy are breaking off to attack us from both the south and east at the same time.

gCHBvUFtrXUfFPEEiae2sJ6XEzGQs5YnRqwRf6_l

Barth shall hold the south, as Jerrot holds the east.

After some healing, Wolt

wOBctKqKNdcD-www0sq7YAe3SMZg7doW5ybhX5ka

takes down one of the archers

j4_yxiX6dCsfyzWMkS13i5EXPz9fQ2uEBhCaMXQwBlwXjm0NgfIZZqi174Gush1AY_tKk6FfXzRqVNcT

while Jerrot and Allen setup the kill for Lilina (although I miss the image of it). After some rescue dropping, we have our defensive line.

KHFrEaPv0s44C9yAatxR2QETX7bhHHV7Ako88lpp

While holding the point, Barth

CNPa16bj1CrD4wZh79s2lTvJTZCBuAOb47Epz27i

becomes even more like a spiked wall.

JAzSqHcRka403kxi4I1WlQD6DslQeGlm5kJTSrme

Bors starts to backup Barth by taking down one of the soldier

HZh6ub1RLjDgLXcFQ3IkLYj42tU4xHeLnSTD7ZF0

giving Barth the time to

5tInugQHg2gQLk0Uq5EnJ34gEIvb5xZ7OHe2y9oR

chug a vulnerary.

On the other front Jerrot gets some healing, and

J_sJcn4mCwqZoIuJ8V1XGXUcN7leGCbDESHZmfEHL_nVqtAr8x5d3Y_lyvmpVG_HFZS-Az8DPTAnTmYW

we chip a little, but avoid getting any enemy down to the point that they die enemy phase.

RRNYCM9dEnvhkjODGmKXma6v9HldSnv5csUpNOeY

Jerrot is getting used to taking, and dodging hits, and Treck

5gTnUkm5Hgc7hCVE9QM9gB7w1o_T9rWVzVwwIfXl

is really bulking up. Now that we have all these injured enemies

h-jihqhG5QpwHfyGoZE_HWVdTZLzOHvl4PP3qLcA

its time to take them down.

SxmlhDEq4fjZEMjfVa3DmXbjgHEJsbywvQKzi65b

...That is some impressive growth,

but back to the slaughter

and with that Noah

OrAvTItYVPd3AsjIYcOP4BCUqeuPHuNENcnZQc5V

is gaining some deadly accuracy.

While in the south Bors takes down another soldier

7KCO_3vcqiKnIPmAVaG6A5QWSN-hYdqoEyErHF2X2SJ8Eeo4I6xVqMo7bDPXarHm42ANcORY1C9wFEop

and gets even faster.

043wfQnMwyu3HBjV_9VBx_sVXJqJt3TFZ0_k6EHm

We have almost broken through,

0Qd0fVnc5aLmZlKbdT0YiCq9gOh8dLl5iWzkjRsV6jYFuyiLhZvkX1ak9yduWWCj8390VDee8A53iKTA

with that the east is won, but

KXCUq8CqEgaCXGk79PwH_SAg90JRRHRqph3p_WDz

things are going slowly in the south. Mages within the throne room are threatening enough of that southern corridor, to keep me from pushing too much with our cavalry, but

8h9OM_UTSIZ0k8poDuyTClQQwY1wP4FqYHkHOBlpVWmg4UMR7FdwjmE7ObUHxEU6z9H0FvKhXS4IknUN

with the fresh armor slayer Ogier brought we press in a bit.

lhimiMsU6xQTe6ieysXvNE9yCAdjzD__cktWqPG8

That last armored knight uses his javelin to attack Noah from such a distance that anyone pressing in to kill him is threatened by a mage, so we pull back enough to make it safe to take him down, while Shanna draws one of those mages into a ranged battle with her.

MxD81uX4fkCQ17jOHYnFEbihqufOeFQCjR2hSqhg

That ends the southern attacking force. The thieveing types have just finished with that treasure room as well.

flWuhM33mhFSjys6jnMineSszJIARZu7SnZwB5wW

Shanna draws the mage further back (and gets healed)

O-wDWIC-bubl0zJQAQqyQM9bND-kmg9nL1ebvnGL

and even further, as the rest of the army starts sneaking past the corridor.

36BzcCvWd2F3BHuLyxXNJpMWd8MrveCuWIkqXV0l

but there is still another mage, and Wolt will draw him in

O0MnsevMzzxuE2WkpTcWoSMsM2Lp2dYejGiPEH53

and he learns the value of resistance.

qazjX2kmmAQsxLc6Q9D-BuwetesQPzMig5hrTtlP

Now that the mage is out of the way, and heavily injured, Shanna lets Lilina finish him off

...or he runs off to chug a vulnerary.

Meanwhile Wolt

finishes his mage off as well. With him dealt with

our army starts advancing towards the throne, while the cavalry holds a line to make sure nothing catches us by surprise.

Lilina continues to grow by leaps and bounds while she duels this mage.

If only Clarine could do the same (+1HP, +1 Skill, +1 Speed)

BCr4kyjcZR6msmeGelvRFnqNiEmYfMCVx7biS6Gv

I have delayed dealing with this armored knight thanks to his killer lance, but with Barth's arrival he can tank even a critical hit from him, so he draws him forward.

6ASt_sDH8vXzmI3HdC6GBQJvbOktcIkORNanBgTx

I delay another turn with Bors in position to tank a hit, to setup the triangle attack kill (to ensure there is no unlucky crit deaths)

NI-870H6O1Eo8DFPIuin414Vnl5jMz5wqu9QFtxt

and Lilina finally wins her duel.

8JWk7Zp_hhp0JjjPE463tRCmbq5aXBEoXWLqc6sw

I nab the chest key off him before

Bors and Barth dual triangle attack for the kill

NrAIXp1yyLI2LfWn4buqRcBN2AflWJHEhC_hl_Iu

And Barth learns the value of strength.

With nothing between us and the throne room we press in further (while the thieves sneak around to reclaim the rest of Ostia's treasures).

This is strangely emotional, but it's a nice type of spice to add to the LP. I wonder if the tacticians will have any character development? Like you becoming overwhelmed by your deaths? IDK, just a thought but maybe a bit too dramatic then.

It seemed like a natural progression for the character (plus I did feel kinda bad about letting Dorthy and Lugh die for such silly reasons). As for how things develop, it will depend a bit on how things go, but seeing as I will have to face Arcadia (unless we have more players join/rejoin/leave) that is a distinct possibility.

Technically that was two convos, the first 3 images from the one unique to Bors, and the last two his generic battle conversation. I was kinda surprised Bors could activate both, but it felt fitting to combine them together when he got one player phase, and the other enemy phase.

Ooooh, nice - 2 nearly perfect level up for Lilina will definitely help. Thankfully very consistent in her Mag growth so far. (that growth in Def was the biggest surprise)

These triangle attacks seems to be a cakewalk for you compared to me. Wendy is aiming to be the fastest Armor Knight in history, but some Strength and Defense growth would be also really helpful. Wait, did I just said Wendy and helpful in the same sentence? Oh crap, I did it twice now.

I like how the reinforcements and the thieves were handled, those parts can get nasty very quickly on this map. But you managed to pull it off deathless, so that's a huge bonus point.

That was a very good chapter @Eltosian Kadath, don't hit yourself too hard on Chapter 7, that chapter sucks. But you played Chapter 8 pretty well and seeing so many triangle attacks and so many good level ups and Bors becoming a beast (and Wolt) is so much fun.

I'll keep watching from the sidelines for now, but good luck.

WITH ONE AND A HALF HOURS TO SPARE!

I apologize for the state of everyone's inventory.  Please shuffle things off to Merlinus as you see fit.  I went heavy on swords, since that's what my cavaliers will ride on for the upcoming maps (and lances weren't sold).  The axes are for Deke.  The tomes/staves should be self-explanatory.

Oh hey, it's my turn.

Fair warning, this weekend is probably one of the worst for me to do it on, seeing as I've got a lot going on then. It's not impossible, but I'm warning you now.

The file works with the rom I'm using (Most recent patch), and spoilers of my thoughts (Nothing more than route warnings, but I couldn't say nothing.)

Spoiler

Eclipse you son of a bitch.

This is entirely because of route choice, I don't see anything else. But how dare you hurt best brigand. I assume this is for the hell of it but still. I know my comp for 10, tit's a matter of how badly that'll go that determines 11 and then on.

It was because

Spoiler

there's already a Killer Bow in inventory, and Restore is one of those things where you either don't need it, or regret not having it.  Route choice had no bearing on this, since IMO it's going to be a pain no matter what.  Good luck, though~!

Oh, sounds like we are going to the Elphin route. I prefer the other route with Lalum and Echidna as well - it also has a Restore staff, but 2 chapters later in one of the houses.

Hmmm, it's been a while since I used Bartre though...

We're doing this in two parts!  Mostly because I'd break the forums otherwise.

Dear diary,

I heard about hot springs in the area.  But instead of a nice, relaxing bath, I ran into that redhead again.  Seems the last two people in charge of his army were bust, so could I pretty please stand in for a bit?

A quick head count revealed a lot of unfamiliar faces, and two missing ones.  Clarine told me about Rutger's fate, her usual haughty voice trembling.  Deke quietly informed me of what happened to Lugh.  Someone else mentioned something about the green-haired knight whose name I never got.  Three missing faces, then.  Whoever the hell killed off Lugh would pay for it.  Slowly.

Looks like my visit to the hot springs will have to wait until after my visit to hell.  I don't suppose there's a shop down there.  We're running low on supplies.

He was rather testy when I didn't offer my condolences to his friend, and was downright furious when I told him that his friend wasn't worth remembering.  If he keeps this up, he won't be worth remembering, either.

7SpviWo.png

Because there's no kill like overkill.

VKqhz4B.png

This cannot be a good idea--

Krmbh2U.png

. . .he did it.  The madman actually did it, and leveled up for his troubles.

u7Vr6wN.png

After the tales I've heard about him, he'll need that point of HP.  Because sooner or later, I'm throwing his unsightly ass on the front lines.

lPLw8jh.png

As disappointing as it is unsurprising.

hR7To1G.png

She finally stopped being useless.

fdIwD1V.png

I gave her a little more room to grow, and this is the result.  Normally, I'd be mad, but noodles-for-arms needs this.

JxUiKgi.png

Chad's working double time.  Keep it up, kid.

5vmxJpG.png

The swordie closest to my guys has a Killing Edge.  I remember what Clarine said about Rutger, and made my formation accordingly.  Only one idiot cavalier would be in danger.  But the enemies didn't move.

O4wZEhk.png

Perhaps they'd move if I poked at them?

pfyLef2.png

Nope.  Which means that I can use those hit-and-run tactics to get rid of the lot of them, with no danger to my troops.  Hell yes.  Deke did the honors.

7tn2rhd.png

That's the last bit of free stuff from the enemy.

znNQeZF.png

Absolutely beautiful.

(A/N: I'm gonna step out of character to define "beautiful".  The only stats on average are Luck and Defense.  Everything else is above it - and in the case of his Res, that's three above average with a 15% growth rate.)

41OUmAJ.png

This won't do at all.  I'm gonna need a little more oomph.

TeTwgFZ.png

That's more like it!

KBdoQZj.png

Only my gross negligence will kill Deke at this point.  And I will not be negligent.

UkQeHL7.png

I appreciate the thought, Lilina, but this is a duel between men.

yGKchKs.png

Guess who the better Hero is?

J26lA8s.png

Pitiful last words from a pitiful foe.

scztp6I.png

They took so long that I was able to find a hot spring and soak in it.

ZMT92RU.png

Smack talk.  I like her already.

We made it out of there with zero casualties, and I'm rarin' to take a free ferry to the Western Isles.  Until next time!

Dear diary,

The Western Isles has some conflict-or-other which doesn't interest me.  I came here to fish, but instead, I'm taking out the trash.

cOtTRds.png

Scouts came back with reports of axes, arrows, and fog.  Hate leaving the likes of Bors behind, but it can't be helped.  Also heard reports of a mounted archer.  Perhaps one of ours will have more info on this?

oFLMr9s.png

This guy gained a level.  Unlike Chad, he can take a punch to the face.

ASvFtiN.png

Wolt's trying his best.

BxNahIP.png

This is just depressing.

wKtBKMX.png

He got tankier, and that's all I care about.

pqox0d7.png

The disappointment continues.

z1VKrOS.png

Did she get lost or something?  This is a battleground!

PypEUlc.pngdlQKNVb.png

The guy she told you not to worry about versus you.  The only thing Wolt has going for him are supports.

9yAqxGA.png

I thought you wouldn't sink as low as that priest.  I was wrong.

spv8ygo.png

Even if Sue will never see the front lines, she was able to talk Shin into joining.  For that, her name is worth remembering.

jgU6TGv.png

I love it when it's a guaranteed miss.

9W1oaJ3.png

Treck is determined to live, one way or another.  I respect that.

Q5mVsKe.png

Maybe we should ship your incompetent ass off to Ilia.  Treck's five levels lower, and damn near on par with you.

6K18lsE.png

Soon, you will be punched in the face.

mUqv0xw.png

"If Treck will absorb the melee attacks, I'll do the same for magic!"

Iq6L5r4.png

Oh shit.

nug2ulS.png

OH SHIT.  A certain redhead idiot on a horse charged off into the fog.

2rSOE8C.png

"Let's hope that fool of a fighter goes after me instead," Marcus grumbled as he charged headlong into the fray.  Old guy has some guts!

NZx9uWy.png

"I'm not going to die until you remember my name, asshole."

Q5AsuWb.png

Everyone survived!  Somehow!

e3Nb10X.png

"He said that to you?  Don't bother learning his name," Roy whispered.  "I can't bear to lose both of them."  Yes, sir.

fUwLkAM.png

Shin shows my guys how not to be mediocre.

SK4nVJz.png

How to gain four stats in a level and not impress me: The Guide

nEoHEdb.png

The only good thing about this is the fact that you're alive.

8NlprTy.png

"Rutger, huh?  Pity that I can't challenge him."  With a little bit more bulk, Fir will fill his shoes and then some.

W5IbtLQ.png

"Can't let my student surpass me," Noah said with a sigh.

tgfKXg5.png

To a worthy swordsman.  One day.

qnlumzb.png

"The best defense is a dead enemy.  But I suppose if being able to take a hit makes you feel better, I can."  You go girl.

6XZZdCP.png

FOR THE LAST TIME STOP HITTING ON THE STAFF CHICK.

dBGwCLN.png

Socializing can wait until all the enemies are dead.

EZs0nHw.png

"Everyone else is doin' fine.  Time for a nap."

iUNsJDL.png

Damn straight we did.

ZUo2uKv.png

These things are always handy.  Rarely useful, but when they're needed, they're NEEDED.

nD1m1ED.png

Deke is content with ripping out the enemy's throat with his bare hands instead of sullying his blade.

BJKAlcH.png

I'm not going to complain about Speed.  Or Res.  Wait, RES?!

I5BiYvb.png

Lilina is trying her best!

yXPtGuO.png

Marcus gets the exact same level as his subordinate.  Unlike his subordinate, this one's good on him.

xNTGGpA.png

SIimeball here tries to copy Lilina.  Which is gross.

8rupE2h.png

I can crit like crazy, too.  But mine are fatal!

9hfQBPv.png

Wolt finally pulls some competence out of his ass.

e1baZHb.png

Wouldn't YOU like to know?

9Oluv8D.png

. . .what the. . .

Deke's ready to tank mages.

(A/N: He's officially broken his Res average.  This Deke is amazing.)

MJJBmot.png

The turn count's so damn high because I had to buy a lot of things, and I couldn't bring along that dead weight known as Merlinus.  Sue was kind enough to lend her services as a pack mule.  Pity the armory only sold swords and axes.  Vendor had some useful magic, and Lilina's grateful for the Fire tomes.

X39Hjtt.png

. . .that's it, I've had my quota of stupidity, I'm out.

Good luck on the next bit.
