Eltosian Kadath
Spoiler As we head towards this cave that Elphin claims hold a Legendary Weapon Lalum, the dancer girl, has made it known that she is preparing to perform augury for our army. Out of curiosity, I take her up on the offer, but she does not read the auspices of Illia (I was expecting ex tripudiis...) nor the haruspices of Sacae, but some lowland form involving balls of crystal, and decks of cards. Most of it seems rather like the "cold reads" Etrurian con-artists would use to convince others of their "skills" in divination, but there was a part of it that stuck with me. She had me look into the murky ball and within there was darkness. As I peered deeper I saw a section light up like fire, and a vision of Lilina casting her magic, with Roy fighting right beside her. Then a section of the darkness splip off into a swords, held by some shadowy facsimile of a man, and before either can turn to see this, Roy is cut in twain, filling what was not black with red before fading back into the gloom. An ill omen, and far clearer than one would expect from augury... Figured I would play catch up with the fancy overview. Here we are before this noxious shadowy cave, with the sounds of people echoing from within. Speaking of which I can hear voices echoing as well. Must be brigands. Its poor timing that our raid coincided with their own, bu- ...It seems their intrusion was no coincidence. At least their lack of discipline should make this easier to deal with. Thank goodness we took Jutes when we did, given more time these beasts may have denied us a weapon of legend. Their greed is their undoing. Seems our presence has been discovered. With them spread out throughout the caves trying to loot the area, instead of concentrated and ready for us, this should be a cake walk. I better get going, as Roy is call us together for one last meeting before we enter the caves "A cursed axe at that if the legends are true" "Perhaps 'your highness' has access to historic libraries, or secret knowledge?" "They seem to be brigands, originally hired to guard the cave, but have resorted to looting instead" "Well noted Elphin. We will have to be cautious while exploring it" Now who to deploy. The cramped corridors, and exhaustion following the battle of Jutes is going to limit the number of men we can deploy. I have Astore take a quick peak around the entrance of the cave, and he can see a Halberd and bow from here, so I think I will avoid sending any of the cavalry or pegasi in case there are more hiding in the darkness. Things don't seem too dangerous so I think I will send in Fir, Lilina, and Wolt for more training. Wolt may seem an odd choice, but we have the spare Orion's Bolt and an extra Bow against Bern's Wyverns can be very useful. Just in case we need it Deke will come to bail us out of any trouble, our best healer Saul will be at the ready to heal, and our best spy Astore to nab as much of the treasure as possible. But that leaves us with one more spot, and a bit of a complication, we don't have anyone ready to use the Thunder Axe. I will ask for volunteers, but I remember the tales about the curse of the Thunder Axe, that any whom claim its power are cursed to die through violence, and never in the comfort of their own beds. I was rather surprised when Bartre stepped forward. He wanted the power to protect his daughter, and knows she is walking the path of a Sacaean sword master, and most on that path die from violence like those cursed by the Thunder Axe. Lets start by having Lilina setup a kill for Fir which lets her hone the deadliness of her swords. Next Astore disables the nearest thief's ability to loot this cave Saul lights things up a little with a Torch staff and with that knowledge Roy draws in one of the brigands. Deke meanwhile makes sure we don't have to worry about that archer ruining our plans with his arrows and Bartre moves up beside his daughter. Seems someone was using this place as an Elixir den before. I guess that explain all these random chest in the cave, and gives these guys something to loot besides the Thunder Axe. Time for Fir to take down another brigand, and then Lilina keeps her safe from an enemy Shaman. Next Bartre tries to set up the Wolt ki- or he can miss. That is fine, it was low odds anyway, and Deke can also setup the Wolt kill. Saul moves in to get some more vision, and Roy keeps ahead of him just in case. The shadows within this cave are already making me more nervous, and we are barely out of the entrance. Fir finishes off the shaman and it seems the way Lilina blocked for her taught her the importance of precise when defending. Let try this Bartre setup of the Wolt kill again, but this time it is Wolt that misses, which is fine as Deke can finish him after Saul heals Wolt back up Next Lilina lights up this thief, so Roy can join her to kil- ...fighting beside Lilina in the dark... I have him move in behind Fir, and with some vision from Astore, I see him the monstrous swordsman from that future vision. Now lets start by trying for the Wo Dao crit kill with Fir but she merely chips. That is fine plan A was a low odds to kill but sets up plan B, Lilina nabbing the kill but that misses as well. Ok plan C, if Roy can land a light brand hit, Astore can- ...No, Roy can't die, if he falls how could we go on? I guess there is a plan D but if this fails someones is going to- to-... This is getting a bit desperate, but if we use a sleep staff we have a chance. Those aren't good odds, but Saul managed to save the day. Even with forewarning he almost died anyway. After that we have everyone come together, that way if we have to face another one of those, those... we will have more option, but Astore is still chasing after that thief hoping to catch up with him as he goes for a chest. As those brigand that have just come into sight try to tackle Astore He learns to skillfully tumble around them. Time to clear these fools out with some thunder and axes and swords. Lilina is still a little hurt from that shaman encounter, so Saul finally heals her, and he learns from her battle magic. Wolt and Bartre both try their hand at hitting the sleeping monster, but even in sleep he is too dodgy for them. And then two of those sword monster come crashing in from the west and the north-east. But this time we have more option, like Deke ca- ... Deke can't just kill one. This is a bad sign... Thankfully Wolt pulls through, but it seems my figurative talk of monster got him preparing for more arcane threats. Fir can take a hit from the other one coming in, as her footwork is as fast as theirs, and lets make sure this first one never wakes. If there was one lesson to take from these it is how terrifying speed is. And with that the sleeper is dead. Fir can take the hit from that sword beast, Bartre trade switching Deke over to a handaxe to make everyone able to retaliate on the archer, and Roy following just behind Astore. Lets get rid of that last of these terrors with a chip from Lilina that helps her master the art of magic. Its dead. Meanwhile Bartre tries to setup- ...shrug Deke will just kill it then. With Roy getting into a bit of a scuffle (don't worry Saul has a physic just in case) and Astore is just barely behind that thief. He should catch him at the next ches- ...or he could double back and run right into Astore's waiting, and thieving hands. Now Deke sets up the kill on this brigand for Lilina Bartre tries to chip this other thief a little as he tries to escape, but he misses, so his daughter shows him how its done. She is a little low on health, so Saul heals her up and Wolt stays where he is to force that thief to head Astore's direction. That is the last thing of value on that first thief, so Wolt puts him out of his misery. That thief can take the hit, and it keeps this fool running in circles. Come enemy phase Roy final gets hit by one of those axes, but it fills him with enough anger to hit harder for once. Seeing the young lord hurt, Bartre unleashes his rage, killing that brigand in a single stroke. Roy pulls back and gets some healing, as we reposition people to keep that thief moving like a rat in a maze. Astore makes off with some more of those Elixirs. They are dangerous when abused, but when their use is carefully monitored by a healer, their effects can be vital to survival. Next a father daughter duo takes care of that last brigand in our sights and Fir manages to learn all the wrong lessons from it. We keep that foolish thief running around while Astore robs him blind, before Lilina ends him. With that we have a clear path to approach the back of this cave, although it takes a bit. In the slow approach Bartre has a chance to talk with his daughter Like so many teenagers she is clearly embarrassed by her father. I see where he is coming from here. The darkness of this cave fills me with fear for all of our people's safety, and a father must feel that fear 10 fold for his daughter. *sniff* or he cou-*sniff* I'm glad I gave them so many opportunities to talk. She is so embarrassed by this emotional talk, but he wont be around forever...or she might no-...no lets not be so morose It doesn't take a genius to see she is trying to get out of this conversation. I hope she learns to appreciate such a caring father, before it is too late. ...I miss my own... no. Lets move on. What the...another one of these morons. He is a bit closer to this dais we can just see at the edge of this cave, so I draw him closer with a tempting target that way nothing in the back will pounce on whoever kills him. Even if this jerk heals it will still chip him a bit, but it misses, so Fir gets the easy kill. Saul then continues to study the arts of combat magic while healing up some minor scratches. Will you look at that, there was some actual treasure in this cave. Who knew? We finally come into view of that dais, and none of the enemies around that alter are a joke. That brigand has a deadly devil's axe, and the swordsman has a killer edge, and their leader...None of them approach, despite Fir being in reach of the brigand, but that archer does, and he get taken out by a pair of girls Just in case the burly men behind Lilina drag her out of that brigand's reach I stall a little in figuring out how too deal with these threat, but in the end Deke and Lilina take care of one While Wolt and Fir take down the other. ...why does she have to emulate Lord Roys sword techniques? Alright time to take down the - ...25 crit...Nope, No nono No, NO. Lets just hit him with magic and rescue her out of the way before he grows a brain and- ... Well better safe than sorry. While Lilina is dealing with that, Fir and Astore will clear out the last lingering brigands, and treasure. Just what she needed to become a better combat mage. Good thing I sent Astore to keep searching, as that is a very valuable gem. Easy picking for Fir at this point. With two of them, that seems a little risky, but she can handle it especially when she is getting better at dodging all the time. Why was this hidden in a chest? Why? While Astore and Fir were off on their little adventure Lilina is finally about to finish this beast off. ...I thought this guy was speaking actual words and sentences before. Was I wrong about who was speaking when we were entering this cave? ...I guess you take the good with the bad. We could end it here, but there is one last bandit for Fir to take down, and a tiny bit of treasure left, so Fir takes one of these after an unlucky axe hit, and Astore finds a torch? There goes the last brigand, and with one last turn for Astore to grab a ...chest key... the people who filled these chests must had a few too many elixir before doing so. We are done here. "The Thunder Axe..." "Of course it did, thos-" "We already know that Lord Arcardo is working with Bern, so I expect the revolt to be aided by the Bernese military." "Merlinus, I doubt these rebels will be more than puppets for Bern." "How Etrurian, to be at each other's throats when they need unity most!" "...Lord Roy, I, well, I doubt I could...Look I can't stand Etruria. I shouldn't be leading our armies when we ride to their rescue. I...I'm afraid my own ...feeling... about Etrurians will interfere with my ability to coordinate with whatever feeb-, well loyalist Etrurians ...I'm sorry. I felt you should know before anything happened."

eclipse
Dear diary, Fresh off my vacation, I ran into them again. Sans Treck. Boss needs to hire better tacticians. And maybe some sense. Why are we going straight into a rebellion? Spoiler The bad guys took one look at the army, and sent in mages. I sent them a killing machine that laughs at their feeble magic. Nice try, lady. Gotta admit it took guts to stand up to the Bern King Guy. On a horse? Check. Dumb enough to compete with the redhead on the horse? Also check. You fulfill your hormones, kiddo. I'm hurrying for a completely different reason - heard rumors that there's a force behind us, so I want us IN the castle before they arrive. The real reason why we're losing to Bern - they have infinitely more common sense than us. Well, uh, things got congested. So Lilina volunteered to run crowd control. Setting people on fire is bound to create some space on the enemy side. You'd do Lugh proud, young lady. I swore I saw Lugh, but Chad informed me that this was his twin brother. Raigh had learned of his brother's fate, and had joined up to make sure the same didn't happen to Chad. Not that Raigh was the type to say it directly - he greeted me with a sneer, and dared me to put him out there. So I did. And this is what happened when I told him to kick some ass. We're going to get along just fine. Clarine's idea of defense is to never get hit. Apparently, this is her older brother Klain. He's making it a point to kill things before they get to his younger sister. Troops at our back, troops in front of us, and some flying things over the sea. Just another day of work. Fight or die, kid. Do you wanna see your brother? The Speaker of Sense, Miledy, decided to give us a hand. Figured it was better than hitting on the blond idiot earlier. Told Raigh to stand back, and parked herself between him and the enemy. Raigh was so confused that he did what she said. Those lances designed to take out axes? They're target practice for Fir. I suppose she was due for an off-day after all the works she put in. The big lunk's got one purpose, and that's to be punched in the face repeatedly. I mean, it's to take out annoyances like this in one shot. Klain shows this idiot how to wield a bow. Which would be a good lesson, if Klain's shot hadn't lodged itself into the enemy's skull. The wyverns have four choices. Two of them can't be killed because they're manly. Fir's got the sword that makes lancers cry. And then there's the bait. Bait successfully taken. This guy's almost dumb enough to be on our side. "These guys offer no challenge whatsoever," Deke grumbled. "I can do that, too," Shin mumbled, while keeping an eye on Klain. Yeah, I made the kid run. Guess it did him some good. You won't be missed. Overall, mediocre stats, but at this stage, every point of speed helps. Wait, what are YOU doing here?! I thought I told you-- "Back lines? Hell no, I'm gonna make my sister proud!" Well, why don't you call her here-- "She's dead, you insensitive twit!" Gee, sorry. "And she was fighting on the opposite side in the Western Isles." Okay? "It happens. Which means I'm gonna have to work twice as hard." If you keep getting levels like that, you'll earn your pay. And maybe your sister won't be disappointed in you. In other words, don't be this loser. "Sword girl other duties" apparently translates to "use a magical sword". She's tired. And there's nothing more for her to learn. Your aim is worse than a drunken idiot with a blindfold on. This will hopefully solve that issue. We've managed to outpace them, but barely. We need to hurry. Target practice, courtesy of Klain. We're in a hurry, so I'm gonna overkill this obstacle. Yes, I'm sure that you're dead. Shin wanted more overkill. Lilina's studies branch out. I pity whoever's on the receiving end of her offensive magic. I'd love to stay and shop some more, but these guys are a little too close for comfort. Having gold is nice. Having supplies is better, though. I'm proud of that turn count. Oh, weren't you that chick that thumbed her nose at that wyvern guy? Next up: Sand. I hate it.
eclipse
Dear diary, Sand belongs on a beach, not in my boots. It's way too hot, and brings back way too many memories. . .of being sunburned on a beach. Stop looking at me like that. Spoiler First, a look at the chick on a wyvern. Her stats, minus Aid, put all my horses to shame. Me too, kid. She's kinda slow, and on a horse in the middle of a desert. Can someone tell me HOW this lady managed to run circles around Bern with these stats? She exists to make Raigh look better. AND THERE'S A SANDSTORM, TOO?! Worst vacation ever. Though Deke is just in range of that mage. Coincidence? I think not! See, the big guy's strong, but inaccurate. Axes are inaccurate. So give him a weapon that's more accurate, and he does stuff like this. Those sword guys I saw earlier will regret ever setting foot near her. He may not be as fast as Chad, but he's better at taking hits. And now, dishing them out, too. You're one of two units that can call that a good level. Hitting harder's always nice. Anyone see anything wrong with this picture? No? Good. We're makin' good time, despite the crappy weather. Correction: We WERE making good time. Surely this guy isn't that good-- SHIT. Yes, you want to get lost. Like, wander off the edge of the map and never return. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Like filling this guy full of arrows. Lilina's making good use of her promotion. And I breathe a sigh of relief as the chick on the horse removes that enemy from the world, forever. A stat she doesn't mind gaining! Real talk, who in their right mind would put any sort of armored unit out in this heat. Even I'm not that stupid! Klain's tired of mages. "Do I know you?" Nope, never seen you before in my life. "I'm Cecilia. It's a pleasure to meet you." If you keep leveling up like that, we'll get to know each other very well. ... "I've definitely seen him before. But where?" "The faster we get through this, the faster I can get all this sand out of my armor." Raigh shows that other girl how to be a proper dark mage. "I need to keep up with these ladies, so that I can show them Elimine's grace." I'm going to show you the front lines if you don't shut up. I guess that's your other use. Picking up shiny things. Yes, that's the literal strongest guy in the army. Can't believe the enemy agreed to leave after an arm-wresting competition. "Just luck." Fir's gonna like this, one day. . . .assuming she can hit the later enemies for damage, that is. We've made decent time, and some money back. Booyaka. With that, I'm out. Good luck to whoever has to clean up after my mistakes!

I did give my word before, and there were no deaths this week, and getting back into the things I enjoy is probably healthy for me anyway. Alright I have heard from Garlyle that real life is taking up enough time that he wants to sit out. @Dayni hasn't been on forum since the last time I updated, and I am not sure if he is still active on the forum, so I think I will have his turn on temporary haitus until I hear something, and see if @Generic Idiot wants to take this turn. Even if it get out a little late or they have the worst possible timezone difference, or they loss a day or so for technical reasons they still have that full weekend to play through the chapter, or finish writing. Wednesday is just a deadline, not when I am actually expecting people to finish things, and people always have the option of sending thing out early, the deadline is just the last possible day it should be sent out to keep thing moving and making sure the next player/writer has a fair amount of time to work on the project. Eltosian Kadath
Spoiler Seems the infamy of water temples have driven the other tacticians off, leaving me to deal with this... mess. At least they left a decent intro behind. The awfulness of Water Temples was always a bit of a joke among fans of battle simulations, but I didn't think it had any basis in reality. Hopefully I can gleam some info from the enemy, and our local expert Sophia. Well at least we wont have to face off against an enemy wielding a Legendary weapon. Hopefully we have the time to- ...seems like we will need to rush for th- ...Well that makes things easier. If they are waiting until the end of this battle to break the weapon out, then we have all the time in the world to deal with them. Lets see what Sophia has to say about this place. "The Archsage knew about the dragons of Arcadia, and helped them?" "He wanted to protect the dragon, and men who avoided the war of the Scouring..." "So The Infernal Truth lies beneath a village of dragons...how apt." "Good question. Will removing it destroy the Oasis?" "We will have to thank your people after this battle for this boon." "... I guess I will have to talk with Merlinus about getting some makeshift floatation device setup then..." This is going to be a somewhat restrictive deployment. Milady and Shanna are deployed for their ability to fly, and rescue those that fall into the water (not to mention not needing a flotation device). Shin was the only horsemen that could assure me that both him and his horse could swim well enough not to drown, so he was the only other mounted ally I am bringing. The sages Bern deployed made Lilina, Saul, and Deke some of the best options for this mission, so each got one of the emergency flotation devices Merlinus whipped up. With the last of our flotation devices handed out to Fir, Bartre, and Raigh. So now we must get to this legendary weapon I am going to take this slow, that way no one will drown, or risk the terrors of bolting sages. The first engagement with the enemy is with Fir dodging and damaging this Devil Axe Berserker. Deke charges forward onto this sinking path, just between the ranges of both Bolting sages to stop these Pirate from threatening the rest of our troops. Then Bartre and Raigh Finish off the Berserker for Raigh to start following in Lilina's footsteps. With that done Fir moves back to draw in this Wyvern that thought using an axereaver was a good idea. Shin downs it immediately after. Unfortunately Deke is drawing a bit of attention, so he prepares to counter the ranged threats, and Bartre prepares for the same. ...Why is Deke testing out Roy's combat techniques? I guess there are more embarrassing combat techniques you can use. Shin has to deal with what Bartre drew in. Deke on the other hand is in a bit of a pickle. Enemy physics are turning his battle with a Mercenary into a quagmire. I have an idea, as long as I can rescue everyone out of the way, and it hits then plus takes it out. Now Milady just needs to and then Roy releases Shanna and ...Roy was the last one strong enough to have rescued Fir... ... Now because of me she is going to...going to... by st. Elmine why did there have to be Bolting... ...she dodged. SHE DODGED! Despite my tactical error FIR LIVED. By the grace of St. Elmine, I will not make a mistake like that again. Deke kills off the ranged attacker that could swim past him. Next Lilina heals her and Shanna gets Fir out of there. As for the hoard of pirates swimming towards the bulk of our army Bartre works on his handaxe practice so Shin can ...miss and setup the kill for ...Ok, which tactician put Roy in charge of training the troops? I need to have a strong word with them, as his rapier techniques don't carry over well to more practical weapons like lances, and are putting this whole army at a disadvantage. Shin should be able to deal with this advancing pirate and all this enemy phase action has reinforced in Shin the value of a good defense. The foolish archer took a potshot when he should have run. I let Deke put him out of his misery before he drow- ...or he could miss. Hopefully those platforms rise up again, as we are running out of pirates to distract us. Thankfully they are coming back, and Bartre picks up a kill, as he does Lilina deals with the archer Deke missed, who is getting even better at repelling magic With those pirates dealt with its time to start pressing forward. Lilina takes out one of the pirates without taking a hit Wait its theoretically possible for Eclipse magic to hit? Who knew (it didn't it was just possible) Still waiting on a clear path to appear... Ok this is getting annoying enough that I will have him dealt with. Now onto that pirate is easily dealt with. It about time I dealt with those Boltings With this barrier she should be able to deal with them...unless they...on second thought lets wait until that last section comes back so Saul can heal her up after every round. But she can take one of their hits while I wait. Watching Lilina deal with these Bolting hits has ingrained in him the importance of accuracy and avoidance. I probably should have waited to barrier her up, but it should be just strong enough that Oates's Bolting will run out moments before their combined bolting can brings her down. As for the rest of the army Shin is just about to draw in one of the arche- or a Mercenary can block him. Oh well Deke can take their combined attacks just fine then. That gives the rest of our army some time to get in some small talk. She is still so embarrassed by how much her father cares. ...Oh boy. I hope I don't have to post a guard to keep Bartre from killing his daughter's boyfriend. ...sigh. Lets see, Deke, and Milady could probably restrain him. Maybe Roy can try talking some sense into him? Oh Fir... nobody would believe th- : "Oho, so you merely wanted a training partner." ...How trustingly, and adorably naive. : "Um... I appreciate it, but I need someone who can use a sword..." Well that's a clever way of diffusing the situation. Although I am beginning to wonder which swordsman she is dating. Noah perhaps? ...Perhaps Bartre isn't as blind to what is going on as he lets on. With that juicy piece of gossipy drama behind us Bartre lets out his anger on the nearest enemy swordsman. Which lets Fir get the kill after watching her father go to town on this poor swordsman she is clearly feeling lucky she deceived him. That takes care of one of the archers, and next Raigh sets up the kill for and ...why (only +1 skill...) With that the forces here are done with, so the army advances as Lilina finishes exhausting the enemy's Boltings. When next our army meets the forces of Bern Milady is preparing for a Wyvern duel As Lilina and Saul are starting to catch up with the main force. Well that was a bit rude of Shin ...sigh. Unfortunately our main force can only wait for the next Wyvern to approach. It didn't stand a chance against their bows. Eventually a path ahead appears, With just a lone pirate blocking the way. Even with that fancy swordreaver, he is no match for Fir. As my army continues to march forward Milady starts to deal with some of the enemies on the flanks. Even if the archer didn't die With her out of range of enemy magic she will be fine. Milady is finally learning how best to use that lance of hers. While our Wyvern is dealing with the enemy flanks, our bows will deal with the enemy Wyvern. That clears out that pocket of enemies, but after some misses, Bartre ... Well I guess he chipped it enough for Raigh to miss. I guess Fir can finish it off. Milady is continuing her rampage. A path to the throne is finally opening up for our main army with one Merc in the way So Lilina chips For Shin to miss the kill, so Deke chips even more for ...another miss. Until Shanna finally gets the kill and ...can this army please stop trying to imitate Roy (+1 HP, +1 Skill) As for Milady that last archer has finally driven her off. She could take him down, but if she misses she risks death. As the main army advances, the archer and Druid march forth to meet us, so Shin starts by trying to take it down but the healing of Nosferatu keeps him going, so Deke finishes him but unfortunately The path ahead has already vanished. Milady finally rejoins our army to get the healing she needs, but Shin removes that last archer before she can deal with it. At least Milady can go deal with That healer she missed before. That just leaves the two Sages that once harassed our army with their Boltings. Eventually a path return But the Sages remain still. We cautiously approach before pouncing on the nearest with Nomad arrows. All that is left is Oates. To keep Milady from dying to Oates's magic might Saul barriers her up and is getting a strong sense of the importance of both dodging and defense. Here goes the first shot. The crit would kill, but alas it misses. Deke doesn't even need the barrier to make this safe to attempt. Shin gets healed back up by Lilina after his miss. Milady ends up hitting when she counters Oates This should give Shin a chance to take the same risk Milady did at the start with roughly the same result. Milady gets healed back by Lilina, but its misses all around when Oates attacks. He will live the counter and continues to hone the deadliness of his accuracy. Both my healer can bring them back into survivable range if she misses ...from Bern ironically. And fighting against this sage of Bern she is finally remember the lessons she learned at Bern's military academy. After watching all those lucky hits (and healing the resulting counters) Lilina is feeling rather lucky herself. Finally just before Roy seizes Shin promotes to a nomad trooper, not only improving himself drastically and he learns how to use a swo- ...wait did Shin just learn how to use a sword so Fir... bah I shouldn't be using this to spread that sort of camp gossip. I took things rather slow, but with Bolting sages, our limited deployment option, and the infamy of water temples it felt necessary to play it safe. "Sophia surely you must know the secret of how to open this" "Athos's Infernal Truth" "With this weapon secured I think its finally time for us to meet with the leaders of this village" "With the help of Sophia to guide us through the desert sandstorm, and into the temple that Bern had invaded below" "Has age stripped you of your dragon form? Are there any dragons left in Arcadia?" "Seems there will be no dragons to help us against Bern..." "And fought them, even in the deserts surrounding your home" "But she doesn't detect the dragon's among Bern's armies? Could there be a dragon far worse and more powerful drowning out the presence of those Bern are using on the battlefield?" "A good bow will always be of use against the Wyverns of Bern" "I am sorry little one. Perhaps when you are older..." "Heh, Almost forgot to turn this thing off"
