That one is very appropriate as a game for taking a vacation (pun intended) from other games for a while. 

I can see the appeal. Pre-Odyssey, it's probably the best 3D Mario in terms of movement and controls, but also the worst in level design. The whole thing seems rushed (and that's because, uncharacteristically for a Nintendo game, it was. It was 2002, and Nintendo was desperate to get Mario and Zelda onto the GameCube as quickly as possible so more people would buy it). It can be a lot of fun played as a break from other games.

I usually play Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons or the Legend of Zelda.

I've been doing this thing where, in between routes of Three Houses, I'll play a single case of Ace Attorney (Dual Destinies, specifically - bought it years ago, but never played past Case 1). Did Case 2 after my first (GD) playthrough, started Case 3 after CF, champed at the bit and started BL, then finished Case 3 on my Switch-less vacation. Will probably do case 4 once I finish BL, tentatively early March.
