Call me crazy, but I'm getting the impression that you were immensly bothered by it.

Indeed.

Also I was still partially high off the anesthesia.

A blender?

akwardly chewing with my gums to soften the food to where I could swallow it

I'm 33 and I got carded at the movies last month.

I'm 24, and whenever I told people I recently graduated, they ask me from what high school

I empathize with the all-caps in the OP, dental issues suck mega ass.  Dental and ear issues, both excruciatingly painful.  Both make me want to die.

Also weird and disgusting the kind of stuff you have to do after having dental work done on you.  Sometimes you'll come out of the dentist office looking like you had done 12 rounds in a boxing ring.  All in all, it sucks, and I think I was right to hate going to get dental stuff done as a kid.

It's called being cursed to have my genetics.

Now I'm fighting the urge to make a Metal Gear Solid 1 reference from this.

You must've gotten all the flawed, recessive genes.

Spoiler

Even though "recessive" does not equate to "inferior" in genetics.

Spoiler

Hideo Kojima is definitely a qualified geneticist.

Nice. Hope the tooth fairy gives big bucks for that painful tooth.

Damnit. I come in, read the OP and immediately want to make a tooth fairy reference. I scouring every comment posted thus far and find that someone beat me to it in the most recent post.

Somehow I didn't look like that. I just couldn't feel the right side of my face.

Well, at least ya had fun.

From what my toothless dad has told me, it's a matter of getting used to it. Once you do that, you're fine. Really hard foods will still hurt though.

This caught me off guard but thanks for the laugh.

The dentist said to avoid hard foods for two days, so I should be fine in that regard.

Especially since I don't really eat hard foods in general.

Threaten the tooth fairy by telling her that you will tell children that the tooth fairy does not exist so it ruins her business.

By the time the tooth fairy would come around, I'd be asleep.

At least you don’t have a dry socket. Luckily I didn’t get one after I got a rotten tooth pulled out earlier this year because I was careful, but I’ve heard it’s extremely painful.

I had to look up what that was. That.... sounds painful.

It is. And I already had to go through a lot of pain with my bad tooth before it got removed. I also got a ton of cavities filled.

As you can see, I’m absolutely horrible with hygiene.

I had to get a bunch of cavities filled, too.

Then I started using mouthwash.

No cavities after that.

What makes this great is I'm only seeing it now so, problem solved? XD

I feel this all the time and I'm only 26. Have you found any solutions yet?

It's still hard to eat, though.

Unfortunately, my teeth come out slowly.
