Ronan
Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I didn't know where else to put it. I used to be a part of this community, but fell out of it years ago. For some reason, I was looking through old stuff I used to play and found a bunch of old ROM hacks. This brought back nostalgia, and made me want to jump back into the community. The only problem was that most of them were unfinished (RIP Decay of the Fangs :( that one was one of my favorites). Do you guys have any recommendations for for some finished projects that I could play? The only request is that TLP is not suggested, as I have played it twice now this month, and I would like to play a few different hacks before I complete that one again. Thanks :)
Bhoop
I can't really recommend any myself, as I haven't really played any romhacks, but you can check out the feuniverse directory and see if any of them look interesting. Hanes
I think you could start with The Last Promise, it's one of the first hacks ever if not the first and while it lacks quite a bit of polish by today's standards it's still very well ahead of it's time and fun from what I've heard. Order of the Crimson Arm (or OotCA) is one I personally enjoyed to see someone LP and it has a story that's easy to follow while not being dumb so it's a cool place to start with. There's also all of Mangs' funny PME (Pick My Edits) Hacks but you will really only get it if you watch him a bunch. If that won't stop you you'll have to go to one of his videos and on the description he has his discord channel.

It was a lot of fun. Thanks for suggesting Order of the Crimson Arm, I had never heard of it before you mentioned it. I'm almost done with my first playthrough of it now, and I gotta say I really enjoy it. Funnily enough, I discovered Mangs through his playthrough of the game, so I may have to try his PME Hacks as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! For me it was the reverse lol, I found out OotCA through Mangs and it was the first LP of his I watched fully because I just am bad at doing that 😛 his PME hacks are really into inside jokes, though it's still funny without them. EDIT: A hack that was recently finished is "The Heroes we deserve" and it's a funny one.
