If Trickster requires Thief for reclassing, what would be the requirement for other classes?

My guess is:

  • Brawler/Priest -> War Monk
  • Priest -> War Cleric
  • Mage -> Dark Flier
  • Mage -> Valkyrie

According to the screenshot, it doesn't look like War Monk/Priest require any class unlocks. Just Brawl and Faith.

Something new(but not really) at least they're officially confirmed! I'm guessing Underground Seals will be available in the Main game through the Abyss area(wouldn't be surprised if its limited per playthrough we'll see on that). Anna is whatever to me don't really care for her in this game tbh its neat her portrait changes when a Trickster though.

Hoping not. I got new classes for the BE to master and I'd like to get them done ASAP.

Maybe I’ll make Ingrid a Dark Flier in my next playthrough, since she has equal magic and strength growth rates for a funsie.

I'm actually pretty excited to see how Edelgard does as a dark flier. Now she finally has a magic class that doesn't suck.

Why are both Mage knight and dark flier female only 😞

Males desperately need magic classes, and what do they do? Create more but lock them to be F Exclusive. Poor Linhardt and Hubert

It may be a case like Dark Bishop, where you need to have passed the Dark Mage Certification for Dark Bishop to become available.

And what would be your theories?

I do expect something regarding hidden agendas within the church to come out.

That’s odd though, because Dark Mage/Bishop both required a dark seal, whereas Thief is just a regular intermediate seal.

Maybe the reason for this is that all of the classes in this new category have special prereqs - female for Dark Flier and Mage Knight, and then Thief prereq for Trickster. Maybe that leaves Priest prereq for War Cleric?

Also, these classes use Awakening-esque designs. Could there possibly be a plot reason for that? 🤔 Or just perhaps just lazily reusing the designs...

Soooooo Fodlan is 80.7 million years later for Jugdral?

Given the general criticism of this game's DLC as lazy, as well as technical and graphical faults in the base game, pure laziness is certainly possible. Or, Rhea is Tiki.

To be fair, War Cleric exists, and that class uses Gauntlets and Magic, the former being weapon associated with Primarily male classes.

I was really hoping for some Anna supports in the DLC. It doesn’t seem likely, but I have hope. It’s nice to see her get something at least. I’m gonna give her that appearance post Time Skip. I hope this means she’ll get some more unique dialogue around the monastery, but I doubt it.

I really hope we can get the supports between the AWs and the lords in the DLC itself. I don’t want to have to reply the game 3 more times for it, but my compulsion to have the support list filled will make me. Although I’ll need to replay CF for Jeritza and Constance.

As noted, it’s interesting that the three of the non lord DLC characters has an inclination to a single house. It would be interesting if they appeared in the cutscenes for each respective route when recruited. It would take too much honestly, just a line or two, with maybe a character responding to them. I highly doubt it, but it would be interesting. Unfortunately, it would probably make me replay each route

Personally considering them honorary members of the houses in question. I would assume that at the end of this thing, there will be no more need for them to stay in Abyss, and thus the Ashen Wolves might disband.

If we assume (which of course we shouldn't, but it's fun to speculate) that it's going to follow Shadows of Valentia's post game trend of revealing the origins of another character in the series. So then we just need to look at big villains whose origin is unknown to us. And among that group the only one I can think of is Fomortiis. Which would be a surprise, but would be really cool. Calling it now, Magvel is the future versions of one of those islands off of Fodlan that are never directly mentioned or visited in the game.

Sothis being Tiki seems more likely. Turns out the entire plot of Three Houses was her killing time until Grima wakes up.

They only gave details on Trickster in their last Tweet. I don't think they'll have enough time to detail every class if they're going with one class per release schedule (MWF UTC).

I noticed that the Trickster Class uses the Hero stance for Swords.

"Magvel" could be just a corruption of "Morfis".

I think you could run the math already. IDK whats normal for 3H leveling though.

But, if we give her 19 levels without any class growths buffing them, rounding down in all cases for slightly more conservative estimates.:

HP 36 Str 23 Mag 14 Dex 13 Spd 15 Lck 10 Def 12 Res 10 Cha 21

And now, we add the Dark Flier stat boosts, assuming the data in the game already is correct.:

HP 36 Str 23 Mag 14 Dex 16 Spd 19 Lck 10 Def 12 Res 13 Cha 21

Well, it looks like her Spd is good, but DF doesn't buff her Mag at all.

Yet, assuming Edel certifies for Warlock first, her Mag can instantly become 17, which Mag +2 the ability can increase to 19. Maybe give her a Magic Staff to equip, and now she's at 22.

Black Tomefaire will improve Fire to 30 Atk, and Bolganone to 35, though nada for Luna and Hades. Luna is 23 Atk, Hades is 40 Atk. Seraphim if you invest in her to get it (not easy) will be 46 on Demon Beasts.

Pure Magical Edel will be annoyed that DF has no Mag growth boost, and she'll want a grind trip in Warlock for Fiendish Blow.

Ha, I am not going that far in my theories, but I am going down the same route that revealing character background. I am assuming the DLC would give more insight about Sothis and TWISTD, considering Ashen Wolves were somehow named after her as well.

As for shared universe, I wouldn't be surprised Three Houses turned out later to be in the same universe with Archanea but a later date (due to more advanced society). We have all these green hair manaketes running the governments, item makes reference to Archanea and also Nowi in Awakening talked about she was born in the other land where more manakets still live...

Kind of annoyed about Valkyrie being genderlocked, I can understand Dark Flier, pegasi are female only here, another can of worm, but still, no gremory-like classes for men. 😞

Oh and, friendship with War Monk's design has already ended, Enlightened One's was better.

NotKotomine being a good person ? 😛

I'd like to learn more about Nemesis, or better, I'm not totally satisfied with what they did with him.

Allow me to dramaticaly hold my chest. Talk about character regression. 😛

I mean sure, Mila's thurnwheel establish that she had some sort of hold on time, but that's still be a huge stretch.

Mage Knight/Valkyrie/whatever being girls only is an outrage. Forcing dudes like Hubert and Linhardt to be stuck with 4 movement until Lv.30 is just not okay. I'm actually mad about this.

Like, I know that Male has some exclusive Lv.20 classes but the Dark Mage line and Hero both suck ass. Girls now have 4 exclusive classes that are all very strong and offer a lot of utility, whereas guys only have War Master to their name.

On that note, Dark Flier better not bring Galeforce back, so help me Sothis...

Yeah this is obnoxious. If they must've gender-locked the DLC classes, I would've preferred one male-exclusive and one female-exclusive. Like, keep either Dark Flier or Valkyrie (and get rid of the other) female-exclusive, keep Trickster and War Monk gender-neutral, and add a male-exclusive class inspired by Awakening's Dread Fighter (Infantry Axe- and Reason-specialist). Only challenge is, then they'd have to redesign or reassign the characters somewhat.
