Revise an existing Classic Mode 2.0

I originally made this thread back around the time of Joker's release, and since I don't like to triple post in my own threads, I figured I'd make a revival thread for it.

Piranha Plant: A Strange Bookend

Stage 1: Jigglypuff on Saffron City (Red and Blue Main Theme (64))

Stage 2: Mr. Game and Watch on Flat Zone X (Flat Zone (Melee))

Stage 3: Wolf on Lylat Cruise (Star Wolf (Brawl))

Stage 4: Duck Hunt on Duck Hunt (Duck Hunt Medley (for 3DS/Wii U)

Stage 5: Bayonetta on Umbra Clock Tower (Time for the Climax!)

Stage 6: Incineroar on Boxing Ring (The Battle at the Summit!)

Boss: Mewtwo, Lucas and Roy w/Ryu, Cloud and Corrin on Battlefield Omega (Opening - Super Smash Bros. Melee (Brawl)), and then Master and Crazy Hand w/Ryu, Cloud and Corrin on Battlefield Omega (Battlefield (for 3DS/Wii U)

I would legit just remove master & crazy hand from every single classic mode encounter and replace them with enhanced versions of opponents that fit that character or other bosses.

They're not fun to fight, they're disproportionately more challenging than in prior games, and they just kind of exist as an uncreative boss option.

Usually the Classic Modes for each  has some kind of theme running through them, but this is just a random selection of fighters with no reason behind it as far as I can tell. Also, why are there two boss stages? You can't reasonably expect players to have  beat Master and Crazy Hand after fighting six fighters at once.

That statement is subjective at best.

If you don't like to be challenged, start the Classic Mode all the way from the lowest difficulty. Then you'll only have to face them on 5.0 difficulty or something.

Those two are the traditional Smash Bros end bosses. It would be like playing a Mario game without Bowser being the final boss.

The theme is fighting the last characters in their respective Smash debut games (Jigglypuff in SSB64, Mr. Game and Watch in Melee, etc.)

You know, I feel like, looking back, the Pokémon Trainer’s three Pokémon should’ve been their own separate characters so we can be spared of Red’s crappy voice so they could not only be fully fleshed out characters, but so at least Squirtle and Ivysaur have their own routes (Charizard can keep the Pokémon Trainer route)

Squirtle: Let’s Clean Up This Gunk! (Fights characters who behave correlate with water or ink, and they’re all team battles with Mario)

Spoiler

Stage 1: Dark Samus (team battle w/Mario) on Peach’s Castle (Castle Theme (Super Mario World) / Fortress Boss (Super Mario Bros. 3))

Stage 2: Game and Watch x8 (team battle w/Mario) on PAC-LAND Battlefield (Yuga Battle (Hyrule Castle))

Stage 3: Wii Fit Trainer x4 (team battle w/Mario) on Wii Fit Studio (Super Hoop)

Stage 4: Toon Link, Greninja and Corrin (team battle w/Mario) on Pirate Ship (Dragon Roost Island)

Stage 5: Inkling x8 (team battle w/Mario) on Moray Towers (Inkoming!)

Stage 6: Bowser and Bowser Jr. (team battle w/Mario and Ivysaur) on Delfino Plaza (Delfino Plaza (Remix))

Boss: Marx (team battle w/Mario)

Ivysaur: Dude, Where’s My Sun?! (Fights against characters with a dark motif mostly on dark or night-themed stages)

Spoiler

Stage 1: Dark Samus on Frigate Orpheon (Snowman)

Stage 2: Ganondorf on Brinstar (Dark World (Brawl))

Stage 3: Bayonetta on Fourside (Riders of the Light)

Stage 4: Wolf x3 (one of them breathes fire) on Luigi’s Mansion (Lost Painting)

Stage 5: Meta Knight (Dark alt) on Spear Pillar (Celestial Valley)

Boss: Dracula

Stage 6: Bowser and Bowser Jr. (team battle w/Mario and Squirtle) on Delfino Plaza (see Squirtle’s Classic Mode route)
