I'm sorry, this is fucking hilarious. I have to wonder what broke it. Maybe if they have too low HP? Maybe commanders have different AI?

He just called the retreat, so he is running away now. You can't Provoke someone who is escaping or otherwise is moving towards a specific location with no intention of stopping for combat.

This also makes Provoke handy to check on AI changes. If a unit can suddenly be selected with Provoke when it couldn't before, then that means they will come at you. If a unit stops being able to be targeted with Provoke like in this case, it means that unit is about to start running.

I do not get this reference

That would be because you wouldn't really know unless you read all of my comments and whatnot. (Which really, you have no reason to do at all.)

In one of the chapters, there is a miniboss named Minas whom you are supposed to capture for a citizen request. She alone killed:

  • The Gram
  • Reese
  • Izerna
  • Faye
  • Ward
  • Dean
  • Axel
  • Czene
  • Aegina
  • Enid
  • Perceval
  • Marcel
  • Daoud

The green-haired soldier vaguely resembles her.

But I do get the last laugh!

Yep. Lance guy made her scary because nobody could hit him, (PERCEVAL FRICKIN' MISSED 88 TWICE!) but Minas was the one who killed people.

It didn't help that I had four crippled units.

I'm bad, okay?

Ddhhu3vu oAh, this flower...

Iiu9ylti o......

Slight spoiler for people who haven't seen the conclusion of this request:

Spoiler

Fun fact: After you talk to Erec with Izerna, you no longer need to have him survive the chapter to fulfill Sister Maria's request. If he dies, there's a scene of Maria mourning alone for him after Izerna gives her the flower. So basically, it's Schrödinger's Flower, which communicates to others whether you'll be coming home, uh... "with your shield or on it," as one ancient Greek mother put it.

I can only wonder what that original description was.

I did some digging through my old backups, and I found it:

southern line.
However, he is ordered to
massacre the town to
avoid compromising the

The townspeople's lives

Makes no frickin' sense.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahah... what I love about this image isn't just the fact that, well, it happened, but rather the fact that it's about as blurry as the average UFO sighting image. That's just perfect. Was that on purpose? I'm inclined to think it was.

Honestly, it looks like someone took it with their flip-phone back when the game first released in '05... I think Aggro found it in an old 2channel thread or something.

Oh hey, it's that unused face! Back in the day, I actually thought this was Derrick's real face because I saw a screenshot of this face with "Derrick" as the name. Turns out it was from someone using gameshark/whatever codes to look through the unused faces in the game, and they "just happened" to be editing Derrick's face ID do it.

Which reminds me, I realized today that the game also has:

Except Sieg isn't a Jeigan (Levion is, but he's Kelik's Jeigan and only for a single map) and he's MUCH more of a main character than Shon could ever hope to be, even after you get his OP sword (which isn't nearly as OP unless you do all the steps of his stupid sidequest)

Most likely the devs just now discovered the meaning of "marketing".

Sure, maybe advertising the DJ-Max collab and the 2nd anniversary BEFORE they both ended might have been better, but eh: still MUCH better than Azur Lane's ads (i.e. in these you can see a tiny bit of gameplay at the very least)

Part 29 - The remote wilderness.

That is such a weird set, garage sale collection or what?

Garage sale, me? I started consistently owning physical games at the Wii U. Prior to that, the idea of spending money on games and consoles was completely alien to my parents, so I emulated everything.

4 I played because the AVGN said it was awesome. I didn't think it was all that. I don't think I even beat it. Of course, I was a kid, so maybe I'd fare better nowadays.

Dawn I played because Whoisthisgit said it was awesome. I didn't think it was all that. Beat once, never cared enough to replay.

Ecclesia I played after Youtube recommended the Barlowe battle to me. I spent the entire game hyped up for that one moment, and accidentally ended up discovering that one of my favorite games was sitting around it.

That is my whole story with Castlevania.

Anyhow I cannot wait for that luck to karmically swing back.

What in the world are you talking about? It's so rare for me to have good luck! If anything, the accumulated karma made it go well for once!

My first truly blessed unit!

I'm so happy for you. Still not as hilarious as it being Marcus. But it's a start.

The advance of the low-tier army.

Those are the best kinds.

It's no coincidence that Mel has blue hair...

That's what I've forever been saying!

At least she has a 54% chance to proc adept with a mithril sword.

Oh yeah, that's pretty cool.

Yeah, this is my least favorite map in RD. It's annoying, you can't tell what kind of mage casts what and the reinforcements destroy you utterly! That meteor user was just mean.

Honestly, it was bad, but not as bad as "rout in the desert" or "rout in the fog." Seriously, part 4 loves its routing far too much. You have no idea how happy I was when I saw that Izuka was a boss kill.

Still, nothing in part 4 comes close to part 3's Ike chapters. Now that is some real boring bullshit.

...Well, okay, when I wrote this, I hadn't made it to Dheginsea yet. Holy fuck, I'm this close to dropping the game 3 chapters from the end. And all because I forgot to bless the wyrmslayer. I hope I can figure something out to beat this bullshit boss fight, because otherwise it's "replay Lekain's 50 unit rout map" time, and I think I'd much rather drop yet another FE game before doing that.

I forgot Gonzales too! Why did they give you the master seal in the second-to-last chapter?! Ain't nobody contributing if they promote that late!

Actually, the master seal does not exist in FE6. What they give you in the second-to-last chapter is a guiding ring. Because that's the right time to be promoting Hugh.

I killed Ward, Izerna, Dean and Christine on this map. I can't really judge.

Oh, boy... I'm so sorry.

I WILL DOO WHUT OI WUNT!

All right, scottish person.

IT LOOKS LIKE MINAS KILL IT BURN IT NO MINAS IS ALLOWED TO GO UNPUNISHED FOR THEIR MANY CRIMES!

Stop with the Minas hatred. Minas is awesome. She's also called "mines" in spanish, which is pretty funny.

And thus, Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting career came to an end.

Everyone shed manly tears.

Good golly! In this map alone you crippled more enemies than I have in the whole game! (Granted, it's only three, but still.)

Three? Pfff. You underestimate my luck. Not that I can blame you. I don't think I've ever seen this many captures in one chapter. Hahahahaha...

Why didn't you bring Aegina? She annihlates this guy!

Because I hadn't the slightest desire to ever fight Goebbels. I would've brought her anyway, though, if I didn't have to drag Izerna's useless butt to Erec.

He's named after my school's librarian, obviously.

Your librarian is called Goebbels? That's... not sure if it's amazing, but it sure is interesting.

Minas approches...

Two more maps.

Just once, can you full battle cry-Pulverize her with Daoud for me? Please?

We shall see.

You know, is this on hard? I was relatively slow and I don't remember there being this many at once.

No, it's normal. I didn't have hard unlocked.

Actually, my problem is that I was way too fast. I made it to Oliver in no time, and then a trillion units spawned behind me. Imagine my despair when I realized I'd have to kill all of them. Admittedly, it wasn't so bad because Ike is even more badly designed than Seth, but still, pretty damn unnecessary, if you ask me.

Well, certainly not after Nephenee had her way (Took near a dozen 1 turn on like 7 HP after having been brought that low by several earlier. Neph Neph mothafucka).

Nephenee? Nephenee sucks in my run. She deals bad damage and has no defense. Left her and Brom behind to bring Meg and Aran into the tower.

Incidentally, I only brought Naesala as my only royal. Seeing Dheginsea, I can't help but wonder if that was a mistake.

Regardless, least it's not 4-3.

You mean "rout in the desert"? Yeah, that and "rout in the fog" were absolute horseshit.

Still less tedious than part 3 Ike's chapters. My explanation is below.

The Sable knights barely count. If NMotE didn't include them they'd not even be in a main game. Same with Malice.

Yeah, but... I like them!

As for Matthis, the guy might actually be proto proto Makalov, he brought this on himself.

Oh, please. Don't fall so low, man. Matthis joined Marth despite the fact that he was scared shitless and shit at fighting because, if he was going to die, he'd rather die fighting for something good. He could've just as easily ran away, but he did not. He also loves his sister to the point where he'd set his differences with Julian aside for the sake of finding her. Yeah, he's weak, lazy and cowardly, but that doesn't keep him from being a pretty good man overall.

Makalov is scum who gambles away everything he owns, treats everyone like they don't deserve him (especially his far more competent sister) and only moves his ass to do much of anything when loan sharks threaten to break his kneecaps. He also uses Astrid as his personal yes-woman, which is a little disgusting.

Don't do that, dude. Don't be like the others. Don't compare them. Matthis is 10 times the person Makalov is.

And no, no part of this is a joke. I genuinely, unironically like Matthis. As you should know, by now. But still. I wanted to explain all of this again.

Did I say that that was not a poor call?

Yeah, but allow me to be insufferable, will you?

I'm thinking this was intentional so that they could further restrict the range that they would start attacking the player from. That's it's own question, but considering they seem to be a group tied together, it would mess with their plan if the beast flew off ahead of the others. I found its presence the most annoying actually, not necessarily out of difficulty but because if it flew off I'd have that issue to deal with.

It's kinda weird, overall.

Course, therefore the only one they'd need to restrict is the beast, but they could add a value to these kinds of units that indicate they'll move only when the player's in range. Hmm, I'm going to keep this idea actually.

I'd be fine with it if there was some sort of indication that it might be the case. There isn't.

I meant the chests that are in the finales for CF and AM have nothing particularly useful.

They're still openable, just, why are they there, NG+ doesn't work in a way which makes sense for this and there's no pvp or trial maps (I miss those.)

Yeah, that's what I meant by "they aren't used."

On Ike's chapters, 3-5 ain't quite like that but I can get why that irritates you more generally. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not that imbalanced in part 3, come on. Part 3 is just mainly uneventful in gameplay (outside 5, 10, the DB chapters (barring 3-13 for the wrong reasons) and the finale), I still managed fine. 😛

The fact that it's so uneventful is what makes is unbearable for me. The maps are easy-peasy, and every single unit's level is sky-high, so what's left for me to care about? Nothing. I just moved units forward, minimized the game and let it play itself while I did more interesting things. At least now in part 4 I have units that I care about in every team, so it's not just "Ike and Titania Solo Maps: The Game"

Don't get me wrong, part 4 is not good by any means, but it's a bit more bearable.

And PoR? Yeah, that Tauroneo chapter is a bit of a snooze. The chapter after's alright and feasible to get the reward from.... you know what? My reactions are all there in the log I wrote up.

The problem is that it wasn't just Tauroneo's chapter. It was every single map for the past 10 maps. By that point I was completely sick of the game, and hadn't the slightest hope of it ever improving.

Clearly you've never been here.

Hey, I was just making a joke based on stereotypes!

Ireland's higher than the UK per capita (No. 2 because Turkey.). Most people are disposed to a chat over it. I'm just more of a herbal tea kind of guy.

I never tried to argue that Ireland is poor... I just hear Irish youtubers say that the Irish love potatoes. Is that not a thing?

It's a neat magic lance with 1-2 as well. Linhardt can use it pretty well. You get it in Hubert's paralogue......

.....and for whatever reason the final map of VW.

Ah, I see.

The lore might make sense for it being so rare, but why wouldn't it be in 21 VW instead?

Same reason all the lategame bosses in FE6 have promotion items. Because fuck you, that's why.

An unused portrait I guess?

Nope, I made it myself. I mean, it is just an unused head on top of the knight portrait, but I made it myself!

Also, she's making me think she's in 3H.

Her eyes aren't weird, though, and her shoulder pads aren't massive.

And I just killed her like Ashe in my first playthrough.

I mean, it's Ashe. He's kinda bad. I liked him well enough, but that's about it.

I don't remember being happy to see you fail.

There are people who aren't happy to see me fail? Unbelievable...

A sorrowful one at the dawn of a sorrowful day?

Yes, while eating an ecclair.

Lyarc's shield screams "Use magic, dingus" to me.

That's how you deal with future generals, yes. In this case, I had to drag Izerna's useless behind around, but rest assured, I would've deployed Aegina if it were up to me.

A man that angry has to be compensating really hard.

Like having no balls compensating.

I mean, his name is Goebbels. That's already a pretty huge red flag.

Oh boy, it's like Oujay never left!

Only it's even worse.

I'm just hoping this one doesn't die twice.

She's only up all night to get lucky, right?

I have no idea, and frankly I don't care. She can do whatever she wants on the bench.

RIP Arnold.

Footballman's son will never wake up again.

Footballman's son? Wa...? That's a crackpot theory if I ever saw one. Arnold, Footballman's son... wow.

Step 4 is clearly profit.

Also step 3.

Yeah, well, they're still steps.

.....

Not the horse!

It was a lovely horse!

Keep your shirt on, it was merely a thin one.

And so the Bornian Supremacy ends.

Bahahahahahahahah...

Oh, you men the one that goes "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"?

And then under its breath "se" at the end?

I imagine that's probably his war cry, yes.

Tanks.

Where they don't belong.

How so?

That is some style though.

Oh yeah, these guys are absolutely fabulous. They make Marcel look tiny by comparison.

RLqT4D9D_o.pngNone shall pass.

Is that Marcel's whole personality according to you?

...It's not too far off from the truth, to be honest...

Provoke, it works, right?

I'm sorry, this is fucking hilarious. I have to wonder what broke it. Maybe if they have too low HP? Maybe commanders have different AI?

Like Brightbow said, his AI had gone into "forcefully retreat no matter what" mode, so provoke stopped working on him. I wasn't actually surprised when it happened, I just pretended to be for the joke.

That tactics point.

You guys really struggled to find something to poke fun at in this update. Everything went amazingly. I'm still in disbelief myself!

God damnit... Stop comparing me to Volcens! You're going to force me to combine our portraits!

...Too late, I already made it.

Q60hnlca o

There. Look what you made me do. Are you proud of yourself?

...Actually, I really like how it came up. Guy looks way better with a beard. Though it does make him look old, too.

That's not much different from sending Christine, a lightly armored archer, into range of a fully powered up Battle Cry user with a Greatsword.

I've said a thousand times, I thought he didn't move! Which is an entirely different type of dumb, but hey. I could've reloaded a save and pretended it never happened. Would you rather I was dishonest instead of bad?

Or sending out Clifford without a spare shield and ordering him to charge right into the enemy.

Well... I have no excuse for that one. I kinda looked at Clifford's inventory and went "yeah, good enough."

The fact that I ran out of money didn't help matters.

I suppose that includes Ward's child? And you act as if I am mean to him.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahah... ohhh, you bastard, I hate that this made me laugh.

Well, this whole Izerna thing has become so petty at this point, I figured I might as well play along.

Only I am allowed to be petty. I am the LPer, after all.

Actually I was ripping on her. Of course, reaching lv 6 to learn Expert and 30 Light to promote, get her pref and learn Versatile, are of course the things that are actually important. Staff users have little use for raw stats.

Yeah, but Owen is better because I said so.

I said "Owen and/or Izerna". I'm not particular favoring anyone here. As long as poor Christine gets some company in the cemetery, it's all good.

Sucks to be her, then.

Thanks for noticing.

No problem. Asshat.

Well, he may have hidden Robust. But he does not know Mercy, hidden or otherwise.

Ahahahahah... somehow I feel like this is supposed to be a reference. One I'm, as always, not getting.

Every game that allows me to say "I killed Goebbels" will always put at least a little smile on my face.

Yeah, I can understand that.

I wouldn't call him terrifying. Unless you are talking about the real deal, in which case absolutely.
But as for this guy here, he is barely any stronger then Derrick, the guy with 0 bases in everything. And his Axe rank is actually quite a bit weaker. He is really just as scary as the Battle Cry skill.

Battle Cry is really scary, though.

You should get to that eventually. Not sure how beneficial having a capped Light rank before her promotion really is. Starlight is strong but it's still tough to get into melee range with 3 movement. But it most certainly can't hurt and if nothing else accurate Holy is nice to have.

I never used her in my previous runs and I beat the game just fine. I think we'll be okay.

Judging by how you are using Clifford, I figured it's because you refuse to use anything but blue gear for your mercenaries, for whatever reason.

Not quite, actually. Clifford is just a case of me thinking that his one very durable shield would be enough. Everyone else has non-blue gear to use.

Case in point. I can't see his inventory but I know he just picked up a S Verian shield up.

No, it's not "case in point", I can explain that.

...I'll admit, I completely forgot about the shield after he picked it up. It's not much better, I know, but it's the truth.

Besides, I checked it in this update, and it was red. Still worth equipping, but... yeah. Wouldn't have made much of a difference.

In any case, I would probably have him dismount, equip a shield and use a Vulnerary instead of risking a miss and having to endure another round of getting pecked apart from all sides while at below half HP. But I'd imagine since you didn't give him a spare shield, you probably didn't give him a potion either.

I suppose you must've missed the preps in the last update, where I very clearly gave him a vulnerary and a concoction.

As for why I made such a reckless move... you know the reason, c'mon, it's been said a thousand times. I'm bad at these games. Please forgive me for loving them all the same.

I can see why you picked Hermann as the base for your Avatar. I'm just not sure if you two are merely allies or if you are actually the same person. It's always only Reese who enters the throne room, after all. Hermann and Ruben were never seen together.

I laughed my ass off. Congratulations. I no longer have an ass, and it's thanks to you.

Seriously though, thank you. This is amazing. Please continue to be an integral asshole. I'll love it so long as you continue to be as creative about it as you were here.

Ah, the classic Longspear experience. Says something about how bad it's accuracy is that even Ward with his 28 Spear rank misses half the time.

But it's powahful, man! Unlimited powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

"I mean, last time I checked that town was filled with more Bornian soldiers then civilians."

Yeah, but then luck happened. I understand Lyarc's confusion, though. Nobody expected luck to favor me for once.

Well, people also consider magic a weakness of Superman, simply on virtue of him having no special defense against it.
Of course I would imagine that if you threw a fireball at him, it wouldn't hurt him any more then a Molotov Cocktail or whatever.

I didn't know magic could defeat Superman.

Yeah, I generally retire the Longspear at the first opportunity.

Well, that's because you are a good player. You couldn't possibly understand the subtle intricacies of my mind.

You know, the Verian S Shield gives +4 defense. Just saying.

Yeah. I know. Once again, I forgot. Because I'm an idiot.

The doubled attack power of Pulverize only applies on the first attack, though.

Hey, I know that. I've mentioned that before! Don't lecture me Obi-Wan! I can see through the lies of the Jedi! I have brought peace, freedom and security to my new empire! Don't make me kill you! You will try!

I am only a bit ashamed that I quoted that whole thing by memory.

Gasch is funny like that.
Btw, supposedly if he is killed, the treasure he's carrying will end up in the enemy's inventory and become a dropable item.

I thought that was kinda strange. That's... actually interesting, might even make it worthwhile to kill him off. But, nah. I couldn't do that. I'm too good a person, in spite of my lack of talent.

That's actually a perfectly reasonable conclusion to draw, considering how Sinnon's soldiers were just stumbling around like blind kittens.

Okay, now that's going too far. They did an admirable job, considering the fact that they were being led by me. Don't diss the boys and Larentia.

Too bad he didn't know about Ruben's child sacrifices. ...which does actually confirm that he is working with the Razites, come to think of it. Unless he is loyal to another dark deity altogether. Maybe Margul.

Fun fact: I actually made a Raze priest version of my portrait before the LP started.

Fohizc9k o

I suppose you were on the right track.

And why I call the Longspear a piece of junk.

You're probably right to call it that, but a weapon is a weapon.

...

...

...

Well, it's still a piece of junk, though.

I like how you didn't even want to acknowledge the fact that it crippled Lyarc. Piece of junk or no, it's earned a place in my heart. Hah!

Tictactician. But yeah. Funny shit happens when you type something, the computer freezes, you assume it's not registering keystrokes, you retype a bit, and fail to notice that when it started moving again the first bit was duplicated.

Tacticticiacticitictician.

Guess that's why I shouldn't write my songs about stuff that may not happen a certain way before it does. Problem is if I wait until I've completed the chapter.. I want to get the post made while everything's fresh in mind.

I understand the feeling.

There's a lot of odd and brutal traditions that have ended or been forgotten worldwide, or mutated to something more tame. I mean, soccer used to be a game played after a battle with a rival leader's head after all. The British weren't very well mannered in the 3rd century apparently.

Holy shit... how'd that even work? Heads are heavy and aren't perfectly round!

Yeah. If that thing was ever real, odds are it isn't now. It kind of reminds me of an old sci-fi story where a werewolf, in his brilliant planning, signed on to be among the population of a moon colony, figuring being on the moon would leave him permanently in werewolf form so he could basically do whatever he wished without reprecussion. The catch being the major twist was everyone who signed up was a werewolf... and the whole thing was a plot to get rid of them from Earth with a honeypot. The ending was basically the governments trying to work out how to get the vampires next.

Hah! That's pretty hilarious.

The funny thing being, he died shortly before I was born... ergo I was named for him, as much as the great grandfather... if not more so. Confounding really, as I can never say for certain which one is more responsible for the name.

Let's go with Dad. Just to be contrarian.

Considering the snakes my dog would do this to were venomous, it was less a bend, and more a "snap". Simply, he'd grab them at a speed that's difficult to describe, flick his head in one swift motion, before stopping. The snake would snap hard. Sometimes so hard it wasn't necessarily in one piece afterwards. The most notable example having split in three distinct pieces. Also of note, he didn't give a damn about the non-venomous snakes around.. giving a passive disinterest to them. Despite this reckless behavior, he lived 13 and a half years before getting congestive heart failure, never once taking a bite.

He showed those snakes who's boss.

Well, to be fair... Morgan Le Fay stole the thing and dumped it into a lake because Arthur killed her lover Accolon after promising not to (though to be fair he died from the wound four days after as opposed to being full blown run through or something like that). Mind Morgan and Accolon were planning to kill Arthur so they could rule. Point is... it's a little more complicated than just leaving the unbreakable at home for no reason.

Morgan!? He keeps showing up...! He just won't stay dead, will he!?

I don't know. I mean... how many years did it take from the announcement to making the first part? If we keep that up...

I think it may've been something like four years?

...five years. To make a tiny part of the whole game with a ton of filler put into it.

I almost doubt we'll see the end of it, ever.

I mean, the living meme needs a song that is a meme for his parody. I just wish I had some idea who the hell the other four mem(e)bers would be.

Arthur, Ruby and Kramer, like in my edit! They're all very D-team'ish.

That's revolting.

Valery is revolting.

I didn't even mean it that way. I realized after I typed it, then decided to leave it. Meanwhile I did fully pun on Hyman being a bit of a pussy intentionally. So I guess I'm guilty anyway.

That you are. hahah!

If he did, he'd be my favorite lord. No questions asked.

To be fair, screwing with Volcens would be an automatic "best lord" title for just about any lord.

Because he's not even trying to cover it, ergo it's not even suspicious. I mean, he outright jokes about his curse... except it's not a joke. Hence everyone thinks he's just funny and spontaneous in an attempt to get laid. The opposite of a certain individual who didn't know how money worked, and who was so blatantly trying to cover something it made her extremely suspicious.

Ahhh, I understand. Hah. Go figure, he was a genius all along.

What dispute? I was neither judging or endorsing anything. Hence it was already neutral. I just couldn't resist making a joke about the "pothead" phrase.

They literally do wear pots on their heads, though. Kinda like the TRS slaver. That one wore a pot too. He must've popularized the style.

Urgh...

How my grandfather dealt with the issue when one of the taps had broke and couldn't be sealed manually. Mind, it's less over the top because you can specifically seal off the water-main to his old property at a point just outside the front gate.... if you know where and have the equipment to access it. Basically it was off for ten-twenty minutes or so while things got fixed.

I'm glad he didn't seal off the water supplies of the entire country. That couldn't have ended well.

If it comes to Spanish games, there's a little gem I like called Maldita Castilla (or Cursed Castilla for those who aren't in Spain). It's a lot like the old Ghosts 'n' Goblins series. Though it's a bit more fair in that enemy spawns aren't random and you get three hits per life... it's also brutal because if you continue more than four times, you're getting a bad ending, if you don't get 5 hidden items you get the worst ending, and even if you make it through without continuing four or more times and fight the true final boss... if you really want the best ending you have to meet several requirements... not the least of which is no continues used. Naturally... I have not seen the best ending... though I understand the key difference from the good ending involves a statue being built.

Ah, yes, Maldita Castilla! I've played that one. I think I even got to the true final area once, but I couldn't beat it.

Nothing's ever going to convince me he isn't save for Kaga personally telling me I'm being a moron. In those exact words.

Aren't all of Kaga's games him calling the entire playerbase morons over and over again by way of throwing bullshit at them?

That'd be handy if I knew how to pronounce his name... let alone rhyme it.

I always pronounced it as "liar-ck". But what do I know. I'm the same guy who pronounces Tauroneo as "TAH-UH-ROH-NEH-O", spanish style.

Seriously though, how do you pronounce Tauroneo in english? Is Tauroneo even a name? I'm inclined to think it isn't!

tactictician.

Thicc tactician.

(insert accusation of cheating stolen from above but reworded to be about this cripple/capture streak as opposed to crits)

Dang it! That's not true...

Well, this is what I call a KilloGram. (I was just waiting for that).

Bwahahahahahahahah... I can just imagine the desperation as you waited for me to use the Gram again.

No really. What have you done to the real Ruben? He'd never get this lucky.

I'm actually Ruben from the PR department. Real Ruben said he was kinda tired, so I subbed in for him.

Who's provoking who?

It's complicated.

I feel like my fight with Hyman's completely been one-upped by this map. But I'm happy with that as long as my luck doesn't do a 180 on me.

Oh yeah, this is the luckiest I've ever gotten with the captures in this game.

We've established Erzenheimer is a gentleman, and only romantically engages with consenting collectables. As collectables are not sentient, by definition they cannot consent. Ergo Erzenheimer has to settle for a platonic relationship.

I like how you slightly modified his name to be closer to Lentzenheimer. If this keeps up, we'll be confusing the two by the end of the LP.

Would've been a mighty handy way to check if a certain boss that I was convinced couldn't move, could move. You know, as if "common sense" wasn't enough of an indicative.

That would be because you wouldn't really know unless you read all of my comments and whatnot. (Which really, you have no reason to do at all.)

In one of the chapters, there is a miniboss named Minas whom you are supposed to capture for a citizen request. She alone killed:

  • The Gram
  • Reese
  • Izerna
  • Faye
  • Ward
  • Dean
  • Axel
  • Czene
  • Aegina
  • Enid
  • Perceval
  • Marcel
  • Daoud

The green-haired soldier vaguely resembles her.

You really need to stop blaming her.

...then again, I've been blaming horsemen for almost 3 years by now. And I didn't even want to visit that village!

But I do get the last laugh!

Slight spoiler for people who haven't seen the conclusion of this request:

Fun fact: After you talk to Erec with Izerna, you no longer need to have him survive the chapter to fulfill Sister Maria's request. If he dies, there's a scene of Maria mourning alone for him after Izerna gives her the flower. So basically, it's Schrödinger's Flower, which communicates to others whether you'll be coming home, uh... "with your shield or on it," as one ancient Greek mother put it.

Oh, really? That's interesting. Of course, it's easier to get Izerna killed than Erec, so...

I did some digging through my old backups, and I found it:

The Duchy of Bornia has
betrayed the Berwick
League, so Vanmilion goes
to the stalwart Fort
Aryuza to hold the
southern line.
However, he is ordered to
massacre the town to
avoid compromising the
fort's security.
The townspeople's lives
are now in Reese's hands.

Makes no frickin' sense.

Oh wow, that sounds like Reese has to fight Vanmilion. Also, "massacre the town to avoid compromising the fort's security." Damn tourists, trying to get into the fort...

Honestly, it looks like someone took it with their flip-phone back when the game first released in '05... I think Aggro found it in an old 2channel thread or something.

That's probably more likely, but still. It's wonderful.

Maybe the real Derrick was the friends we made along the way.

Which reminds me, I realized today that the game also has:

Asbel (or Merric w/o his dumb hat)354052773__face(159).png.e695d5034d4b6316107bcd18b4bd4cf9.png Ingrid2128272573__face(279).png.b16d08ebae503fde68d0998e77655043.pngand DS!Caeda 199046855__face(281).png.8cd4c321e8d89b111f2e92143a8b2ea6.png

Asbel and Ingrid I can see. Caeda is kind of a stretch.

You know what isn't a stretch? Tia.

It was mainly a joke. You know, about how gachas require that you spend money to get the basic tools to play them?

Immagine1.jpg

... welp!

(Not like i can really complain about that though)

Wait, but then, is it an actual lie or is it just a joke that unlucky people make when they don't get what they want?

[Addendum]

(Yes, now i make these even before the actual post is out)

Now that is wonderful.

This is my FEHeroes experience, except Mostima is Wrys and the brown-haired girl with socks in her hair is that one red-haired ninja from Fates that I got like 5 times.

Hey, I only said they have a few similarities, not that they're exactly the same. I agree that Sieg is far more of a main character. Shon's kinda like the Lyn of TLP.

Also, what do you mean "Sieg isn't a Jeigan, Levion is"? Sieg is definitely a Jeigan. He's a prepromote with higher stats than the rest whose purpose is to weaken units for his fellow scrubs to eat up, and also to act as a panic button in case things go south. Due to his good growths, he stops behaving as a Jeigan in Anakin mode, but in Sieg mode? He's a textbook Jeigan there. If you want to be pedantic you can call him an Oifey, but still, same principle.

Sieg is a Jeigan for 12 chapters (not counting the prologue because you shouldn't use him there) and he's not a Jeigan according to you. Yet Levion is a Jeigan even though he only has a single chapter where he can be considered a Jeigan - a single chapter where he doesn't even Jeigan so much as he kills everything, mind.

Being old with lower growths isn't all there is to a Jeigan, you know?

Actually, it isn't: not exactly the best anime ever either, but definitely not generic.

Here is a sample:

(Maybe)

Eeeeeehhhhh... I mean, far be it from me to judge a book by it's cover, but it... definitely looks really generic to me. I don't know. I'm not the biggest fan of anime out there, anyway. I know, I'm a FE fan, but I've only watched like 6 animes in my entire life.

In fact, while we're at it, here's my anime list!

- School days. I only watched that one to get context on the ending, which youtube recommended to me. It was... weird.

- Another. Again, only watched because youtube recommended the gore to me. That one was fun.

- Code Geass, recommended by a friend. It's a trainwreck, but I enjoyed it enough.

- Evangelion, recommended by the same friend. I didn't hate Shinji.

- Paranoia Agent, the only one I discovered on my own. Also the one I enjoyed the most by far.

- Code Lyoko

...huh. Would you look at that. That's actually only 5 animes. I also started No Game No Life, again on my friend's recommendation, but I couldn't stand the obnoxious fanservice and the treatment of that one redhaired girl whose name I forget, so I dropped it three episodes in. I tried watching Lupin III, but I got bored.

As for western cartoons, my list goes like this:

- Code Lyoko.

-

So there you go. Feel free to judge my lists as you see fit. 'Cause I know full well that there's a lot to judge there.

It's from that other LP i mentioned before.

Ah, right, right.

Both.

I figured.

(i.e. the subs are accurate AND the anime is a parody)

(I mean, you should have realized from those previous pics)

I did, I just thought I'd be a jerk and ask anyway.

At least it didn't take them 13 games, like a certain other franchise. Isn't that right, FE?

In this case it's bad "subs".

(Btw those are all from "Defense Witches", a great TD game which unfortunately got shut down a couple years ago: you might still find its .apk around and even play the first 10 stages, but the rest of the game is inaccessible now)

What's a TD game?

...Oh, another phone game. Right. Sorry, got better things to do.

This was... not what I was expecting when I made that joke.

Oh, if you knew...

(Btw, that's another isekai anime that's anything but generic)

...okay, that was funny. I'll give you that.

Saga:

Spoiler
8d4cumgs o

Last time, for once in my LPing career everything went my way. Today, we reap the spoils of our victory.

3ri2evh6 oThe citizens are welcoming the Sinon Knights with great joy.

Y8ew3fye oIt's only natural, I suppose. If they hadn't stepped in, the town would have burned... Lord Reese saved them all through his own determination... I must confess myself rather envious of Lord Reese... If I also had subordinates like General Ward, then maybe I...

Lgjkwhcy o Oh, don't be such a baby. You have Sylvis. You asshole.

9qk5ifz8 o Still, I can understand your jealousy. Not everyone can cripple an uninjured general in one blow like that. Hahahah... just when I thought he couldn't be any more impressive, he goes and does that. I'm still so happy about that. I'm proofreading this three days later and I'm still sporting the biggest shit-eating grin thinking about it.

3ri2evh6 o......

Al8ulhez o

A knight enters the room and approaches Eleanor for a moment. He says something to her.

Ynqfbwgm o

Y8ew3fye oAh, very good. Send him in.

Tpaafpso o

Meoilxpy oI have come to report. General Lyarc, the commander--

Y8ew3fye oThe report can wait. Right now, we must have a toast to this great victory! Eleanor, prepare us a drink.

3ri2evh6 oYes, milord. One moment, please...

Mrg5zfee o

Y8ew3fye oI am told that not a single citizen was harmed in the battle! Most impressive, as expected of the Knights of Sinon.

Meoilxpy oI give thanks to Mother Veria that I was given her blessing to be victorious in battle.

Lgjkwhcy o Oh, please... Reese, would it kill you to show some real emotion for two seconds?

Jagwjzyg o

Meoilxpy oMy father has impressed prayers of thanksgiving such as that on me ever since I was a young boy. He taught me that the tides of war are not fully determined by men... Rather, we fight on the palms of the gods who decree our fates.

9qk5ifz8 o Is this a forth wall break? It kinda seems like it... In any case, I'm glad that you are so thankful to me and my skills. Uh, even if my name isn't Mother Veria.

Y8ew3fye oOh, I see... So it is Margrave Bernstol's saying... And do you believe his words?

Meoilxpy o...I do not know. But it is said that if we trust in our conscience, the Mother will not abandon us.

6bituoin o

Lgjkwhcy o No you don't! Vanmilion, you actually have a personality!

Meoilxpy oAs I am?

Y8ew3fye oThe Duchy of Narvia use to be such a peaceful and cheerful place...

Lgjkwhcy oThat's an odd jump...

Y8ew3fye oBut things have changed ever since His Majesty came to Navaron.

Txzubig9 o Never mind, it's not the time for complaints! It's time to trashtalk Volcens!

Y8ew3fye oHis soldiers are depraved beasts, and his advisors are incompetent... Especially that buffoon Padolf and that snake Herman... They treat Father like a servant and march about the palace as if they own it! Father could easily have them removed, but he does not... Why does he tolerate them so? I simply cannot understand it...

Meoilxpy o......

Qj0ieyz2 o

Well, that's a mystery for another day. For now, we must have that toast!

3ri2evh6 oMilord, a moment, please...

Y8ew3fye oYes, Eleanor?

N3vvlavh o

Uedfz3v4 o What?! Marcel! Captain Sideburns, don't you dare to harm my new knight...! I'll kill you!

Y8ew3fye oWhat on earth...? Eleanor, tell me the details.

3ri2evh6 oIt is a knight named Marcel whom he claims disobeyed a direct order during the battle.

Y8ew3fye oAnd did he?

3ri2evh6 oYes, Sir Marcel himself admits to deliberately disobeying him.

Y8ew3fye oThen Bowen has every right. The penalty for such defiant insubordination is death.

Uedfz3v4 oJesus! Death for protecting the citizens?! This is outrageous! Reese, do something!

3ri2evh6 oShall I inform Sir Bowen that he has permission to execute, then?

Y8ew3fye oThe accused himself admits it, yes? Then the law must be upheld.

Meoilxpy oWait a moment, Lord Vanmilion. About that knight Marcel...

Y8ew3fye oDo you know something about his specific circumstances, Lord Reese?

Meoilxpy oNot entirely, but that knight Marcel fought alongside us for the entirety of the battle.

Kvffy6qd o

Meoilxpy oMuch of our success in this battle was thanks to his bravery.

Y8ew3fye oThen, do you believe he is innocent?

Meoilxpy oI do not believe he is innocent, but he followed his own conscience. I think execution is too extreme.

Y8ew3fye oI understand. Let us do this, then: For the crime of disobeying orders, his execution would be warranted. However, given his deeds in the defense of Aryuza, he will instead receive a lighter sentence. He is to be stripped of his title and exiled to the remote wilderness.

Lgjkwhcy o Oh, please... well, at least he's not dying, but "remote wilderness" doesn't sound so good...

Meoilxpy oBut still, even that is...

83ansugh o

9qk5ifz8 o ...Oooooohhhh, I see... bwahahahahah, I like how he snuck that roast in there. "Remote wilderness", eh? You magnificent bastard...

Meoilxpy oTo... me, Lord Vanmilion?

Y8ew3fye oNo matter what happens, the law must always be upheld, yes? I delegate the task of carrying out his sentence to you, Lord Reese.

Meoilxpy oA-Ah, right. You can leave everything to me.

3ri2evh6 oThank goodness... That is quite a relief!

Inifdzjh o

M6xkibgl o

Phew... that looked really bad for a moment, but it seems Marcel is safe. That cheeky Vanmilion.

Foose9uk o

Cy2biwh7 o

Meoilxpy oAh, Marcel! You must have gone through quite the ordeal yesterday!

Rlqt4d9d oLord Vanmilion told me about what you did for me... I was to be executed, but thanks to your word, my life was spared. I will not forget this debt to you for as long as I live, Lord Reese!

Meoilxpy oLord Vanmilion was the one who overturned your sentence. You needn't thank me.

Rlqt4d9d oUnderstood, milord. I am honored to be given the privilege to serve you, Lord Reese. Even as a simple enlisted man, to serve alongside the Order of the knights of Sinon is simply wonderful!

Oksf9rhi o

Uedfz3v4 o What...?! Reese! Don't do that! How could you suggest such a thing?! My new unit! Accept the new unit at once, or I'll... uh... I'll edit your face onto Volcens's portrait! Yeeeeah, I'll go that far! And I would only do that to the worst of my enemies, so you should watch your step!

Incidentally, the music changes here.

Rlqt4d9d o...I-I suppose you did not... Then I truly am to be exiled...?

Meoilxpy oCome with me, Marcel. I have something to show you...

Zed40vst o

Why does Reese have to be a dickhead every single time we get a new unit?

L0iiv5k5 o

Owho! What is this? Epic music! Knights! A carpet! A... wait, a throne? Since when does Reese have a throne? This room looks so tiny, too... Did he just borrow a spare carpet and throne from Roswick to set this up in some back room?

Orhce6hh oGqfsk11z o

Well, whatever the case, Marcel understands that something important is going on, and kneels.

Usc3rheg o

Lgjkwhcy o Oh, so we are recruiting him, after all! Why lie to him like that, then? Just to get a kick out of his despair? I didn't think Reese had such a cruel sense of humor! Then again, I didn't think he had a sense of humor at all.

3cxl4xfi oMarcel, raise your head and look upon your liege!

Rlqt4d9d oWhy?! Why did you say I wasn't going to be made one of your knights?! I thought for sure I'd be exiled for the rest of my days! You had such cold eyes when you told me... I-I was convinced I was a goner! Why would you do that?!

3cxl4xfi oLord Reese, what in the world is he talking about?

Meoilxpy o...What? I was merely jesting! You should've seen his face. He really looked like he was going to start crying!

Rlqt4d9d o......

Bs8nwu8m oWhat's wrong, crybaby? Gonna cry? C'mon, cry for me, weakling.

Ps4nmuuw o...S-Sir Ward, what is happening...?

3cxl4xfi oI don't know, but it scares even me... S-So that's why he never smiles...

Bs8nwu8m oIs there a problem, Ward? Aren't you happy that I'm happy? You should relish in your liege's joy! Come, laugh with me! Laugh! Hwaaahaahaahaahaahaah!

Ftlvhzqv oEh... heh... heh heh... ergh...

Lgjkwhcy oStop, everyone! This joke has gone on for long enough. We must resume the actual scene!

3cxl4xfi oGreat... and there goes the other madman...

Ps4nmuuw o...What kind of people have I associated myself with...

Lgjkwhcy o Anyway, so where were we... ah, right here.

3cxl4xfi oMarcel, raise your head and look upon your liege!

Rlqt4d9d o...! Y-Yes, sir!

Meoilxpy oIn recognition of your outstanding actions and moral character, I, Reese of Sinon, dub thee... Sir Marcel, Knight of Sinon! I grant you the title of Guardian!

Lgjkwhcy oYou mean the title he already had? All right, Reese. Whatever you say.

Meoilxpy oI trust you have no objections?

Rlqt4d9d oN-None, Lord Reese! I accept wholeheartedly!

Nqlo6pwg o

Ps4nmuuw oThe Goddess's blessings be upon this wonderful young man!

3cxl4xfi oMay you be a sword to fight for what is true, and a shield to protect the people!

Rim1jva4 o

All right, and with that, we've got Marcel! Who immediately was sent to the bench, because there was no space for him. No worries, mate. I can think of at least three people who'd gladly cede their places to you. But first, let's visit the dungeon. I'm legit hyped for that.

Wjps1w3r o

Bwahahahahahah... ahahahahaha! Look at that! There are so many people crammed in there, that two of them are glitching through the walls! How many is it, Weyl?

Xpfbinj2 o

Ahahahahahahahah! Yes!

Wjps1w3r o

There you have it, folks. The Chapter Douglas / Fort Balt of this LP. The one chapter where absolutely everything came up in my favor. Ahhh, RNGoddess, how difficult it is to please you... but how worthwhile it is! I'll keep the children coming, don't worry.

Ubpqzwfo o...And after you left Bornia, I took him under my wing as my second apprentice. He was good. Not as good as you, but I'm proud of him nonetheless.

Ubpqzwfo o...Sigh... At least one of you survived the battle...

Flieoqph o......

Ubpqzwfo oWhat will you do, now that you've been allowed to return home?

Flieoqph oI don't know... I'm kinda sick of this. I like fighting, but... well, not to the death. Especially not to the death with our former comrades... The Razites were fine, I guess. They were the ones who attacked us. But you guys...

Ubpqzwfo oI wonder if even fighting the Razites is "fine"...

Flieoqph o...yeah, I wonder... if this happened to you guys, who's to say it didn't happen to them?

Flieoqph oAnyway, what about you, Teacher? What're you gonna do?

Ubpqzwfo oAs soon as I'm sent back to Bornia, I'm leaving the army. Perhaps I'll even leave Bornia, like you. All I know is I'll never pick up arms in the name of war again. All those years spent fighting for my homeland, and all for what? One day, we were fed a bunch of lies, and all of sudden we're fighting our allies. I don't understand it... and I don't want to.

Flieoqph oA-Are you sure you should be talking like that here...?

K96n5r80 oThe captain and I have already spoken, and he has my blessing to do as he wishes.

Flieoqph oHmm? General Lyarc! I didn't expect that a man of your caliber would be captured...

K96n5r80 oAnd yet that is what happened. To tell you the truth, I'd go with the captain if I could. But my position is too important. My absence would not go unnoticed. I need to stay and make sure nobody notices his. And... perhaps I'll look into the Governor-General, and see if he really is just a regular Verian priest and tactician, as he claims.

Flieoqph oAh... Well, good luck.

K96n5r80 oCome to Narvia, Captain. There are already many refugees here, from what I've heard, and you've got a friend here, too. It's the best course of action, in my opinion.

Ubpqzwfo o...Thank you, General.

Bcexxv0w o

All right, ransoming time! Hahahah... Lyarc is worth almost 2000D!

Ckv1lfst oQlrsqr19 o

As for the generic Bornians, they aren't so valuable, but they're numerous.

B24guhza o

All right, let's let Marybelle know that her dad is fine.

Ghmmbvhi o

3cxl4xfi oHe was considerably stubborn, but I am glad I was able to convince him.

Rmozfsyo o

4ge0cgir o

3cxl4xfi oAh, speak of the devil!

Jadofpfd oI've never liked you soldiers and knights and whatnot. Not one bit! Always causing trouble, breaking people's property, and all that...

3cxl4xfi o......

Jadofpfd oStill, you're just a young lad. I'm sure you'll wisen up once you get a bit older.

3cxl4xfi o(Young lad...?)

9qk5ifz8 o Pffffffft... How old is Gasch, really?

Pj4xam53 oPlease pardon him, Sir Ward...

Gcuth4fj o

Txzubig9 o Bwahahahahahahahahah... What do you mean, "please pardon him"? There's nothing to pardon, Ward is loving this!

Jadofpfd oGeh heh heh! That's exactly right!

9qk5ifz8 o I can just imagine Ward bearing the biggest shit-eating grin right now.

Jadofpfd oStill, I guess I wouldn't mind living a li'l while longer to watch you young folks wisen up a bit.

Pj4xam53 o...Oh, that's right! I should reward you somehow...

3cxl4xfi oThat's quite all right, Madam. I ask no compensation for this.

Jadofpfd oWell, at least let me give you this for all your trouble!

3cxl4xfi oA necklace?

Jadofpfd oBack when I was young like you, I got that from the Orient.

Jilrx85c o

Jadofpfd oHeck, maybe it'll come in handy for young folks like you.

3cxl4xfi oDo you not mind giving away such a precious keepsake from your youth, Mr. Gasch?

Jadofpfd oIt's not doing me any good. No use in me keeping it if it's just sitting on my mantle! It ain't like it'll keep me from going to the grave at my age.

3cxl4xfi oGiven your strength of spirit, Mr. Gasch, I'd say you still have quite a few years left to live.

Twjksdln o

3cxl4xfi oIn that case, I will accept your gift gladly.

Jadofpfd oGood. Now don't go forgetting about that drink you promised me!

3cxl4xfi oDon't you worry, Mr. Gasch. I'll treat you next time we meet.

9qk5ifz8 o I can imagine them sitting in a corner of the bar to talk about "kids these days". All while Gasch keeps calling Ward a youngster. He'll leave the tavern a content man. And then he'll bump into Czene, and it'll be ruined.

Ijchzsto o

Ah, a miracle charm!

Yg3z9lck o

You take it, Owen.

Cuxhiqau o

Very well, Valery. The time has come.

Ylsor739 o

Vqoe2ro0 oYou've been a great help.

Ps4nmuuw oThink nothing of it. After all, it does not matter by whose hand he as caught, is that not so?

Vqoe2ro0 oQuite right. Still, I'm mighty grateful to you. As for you, Valery...!

Ons14mdv o......

Yoobzgjr o

Ons14mdv oI-I'm sorry, sir...

Vqoe2ro0 oWhen you hear news like this, you come straight to me first! Don't you ever try to keep me out of the loop again, you got that?!

Ons14mdv oYes, sir! Understood, sir!

Vqoe2ro0 oAs your punishment, you'll be taking care of this paperwork. We just got these files from our sister guild in Aryuza about all the mercenaries killed in battle.

Lgjkwhcy o Exactly zero mercenaries.

Vqoe2ro0 oCopy each one onto a new sheet of parchment, then organize them for our records. Get it done by tomorrow morning.

Ons14mdv oWhat?! Yes, sir...

Kyq6etos o

Ps4nmuuw oThat seems a bit too harsh. I think Valery has been doing a fine job.

Vqoe2ro0 oYou think so? Maybe you're right...

Hnzesfck o

Vqoe2ro0 oWhat is it?

Ons14mdv oI can't find those documents you asked me to work on...

Hjzettoj o

Vqoe2ro0 o...Are you blind?! They're on your desk!

Ons14mdv oR-Right! I'll look there next...

Lgjkwhcy o You didn't think to look on your own desk?! Valery, please...

Vqoe2ro0 o...A fine job, you say?

Ps4nmuuw o...Sometimes.

Txzubig9 o Bwahahahah... I'll admit, that was a pretty funny scene. Even if it had that criminal in it.

Vqoe2ro0 o...Oh, I almost forgot! Let me get you the bounty for catching Munver.

Xc3tzpt7 o

That's not too much, actually. Huh... well, we got to see Valery making a fool of himself, so that's a good reward in and of itself. Hah!

7glefqef oHey! You can't do this! You have no right to lock me up here like this... I know this ain't how you're supposed to do things! Once rumors of this get out, you're gonna be--

Ons14mdv oHello, Munver. Sorry for the delay. My boss was yelling at me.

7glefqef o...no... n-no...!

Ons14mdv oDon't bother screaming for help. Nobody knows you're here. And nobody ever will.

7glefqef oB-Boss, p-please...! H-Haven't I done a good job? Stealing all them rich folk blind... w-wasn't I a reliable one?!

Ons14mdv oYou were a decent thief. But you just couldn't keep your mouth shut, could you, Munver? A few drinks can make you into quite the honest man... and that is not good. No, no, it's not good at all...

7glefqef oNo! Boss! Please! I can still... I can still...!

Ons14mdv oAdmittedly, it was my mistake. I let you know too much, despite the fact that you're obviously an incorrigible imbecile. But that's all right. Mistakes can be undone.

7glefqef oBoss! Boss, please! No! I can still be of use! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO--

Ons14mdv o...now. Where are those papers?

W0kx5e45 o

Let's take care of the flowery business now.

Dsukgzim o

Ddhhu3vu oHe was strong and well, and he asked how you were faring yourself. He promised he would come home, and he gave me this flower for you.

Xkynbhhs oThank the Goddess he's all right... Ah, this flower...! Izerna... Thank you so much...

Ddhhu3vu oI have one more matter of good news to give you, Maria.

Xkynbhhs oYes?

Kxfczgyo o

Ddhhu3vu oThe soldiers who fought to defend it are being allowed to return home!

Xkynbhhs oOh, how wonderful! Praise be to the Goddess!

Ddhhu3vu oMother Veria will never abandon us in our time of need.

Xkynbhhs oI can't thank you and Lord Reese enough for all you've done...

Ddhhu3vu oI am simply happy to see you smile again, Maria.

Xkynbhhs oI want to help you somehow, as a way of saying thanks.

Jdm4j531 o

Ddhhu3vu oAll I want is for you and all my fellow sisters to be happy.

Xkynbhhs o......

Ddhhu3vu oI think it's beautiful, the way you two communicate through the hidden meanings of flowers...

Xkynbhhs oThank you, Izerna... Ah, I know what I can do! High Priestess Quescria gave me this orb a while back, but it will be of better use with you.

Ac0swml9 o

Txzubig9 o A physic orb!? Gimme gimme gimme!

Ddhhu3vu oThank you, Maria! I will use it well!

9qk5ifz8 o Ahahaha... no, you won't. But Owen will.

Xkynbhhs oI am sure you will.

Lgjkwhcy o No, she won't! How many times must I say it?

Xkynbhhs oThank you again for helping Erec and me.

Qvzpi9fd o

Well, this is awesome.

Thgvcapj o

Last stop, Erzheimer's house.

1v1yepap oGnmjjo6d o

Yeah, yeah, just take the thing. It's not like I've any use for it, anyway.

Re0g7rfr o

Another one down.

Xfcemzzo oJlke3vzq o

We still got a ways to go, though.

Uv8pxckh o

Next up, a character event. Ey, Sylvis!

9csltscr o

K6a8y571 oI met one of your subordinates earlier, but I didn't get the chance to see you! What a twist of fate!

Lgjkwhcy o Ergh... what? We've been hiring you for months now!

Ps4nmuuw oLord Reese, who is this lady?

Meoilxpy oSylvis, a mercenary. I witnessed her supert marksmanship myself at the defense of Fort Aryuza.

Lgjkwhcy oAnd at the Goran Plateaus, and at Demias forest, and in chapter two (I kinda forgot the name of that location, sorry)... Reese, she's been a mainstay of the team forever!

Ps4nmuuw oSylvis? Are you perhaps Sylvis of Apollonia, the renowned huntress?

K6a8y571 oOh, you've heard of me?

Ps4nmuuw oOnly rumors from the townsfolk. They say you're an Apollonian bounty hunter with a crimson bow... And that although you're still in your mid-teens,

Uedfz3v4 o GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!? Kaga! Don't do this to me...!

Ps4nmuuw oyou only go after the biggest bounties you can find.

Yshglsvi o

K6a8y571 o"Once an arrow flies from her bow, it can pierce stone as well as flesh!" Things like that, right?

Ps4nmuuw oAnd yet looking at you, your body is clearly not steel, though your eyes are bright and sparkling.

9qk5ifz8 oOkay...? Interesting comment, Tianna.

K6a8y571 oOh, you flatterer! So, what's your name?

Ps4nmuuw oTianna, secretary to Lord Reese.

K6a8y571 oWell, Tianna, I'm afraid the rumors you've heard do exaggerate... The biggest bounty I've brought in was merely a hundred denarii,

Lgjkwhcy o I find that hard to believe... for instance, Graff was almost five thousand! Then again, I suppose you technically didn't bring that one in yourself...

K6a8y571 oand my beloved crimson bow is now broken. My arrows cannot, of course, pierce through rocks. And I'm actually in my twenties.

Txzubig9 o Oh, thank God... phewwww... oh, man, that was too close...

Ps4nmuuw oIt'd be hard for anyone to live up to such rumors. When the townsfolk hear of a woman warrior, the rumors tend to get out of hand much more easily...

Ckir7miu o

K6a8y571 oThe only reason people are so awed is that the women in this country just spend their time on pointless things!

Lgjkwhcy oOkay, that's... kind of uncalled for, Sylvis.

Ps4nmuuw oPointless things? What ever do you mean?

K6a8y571 oYour women just sit at home combing their hair, preening their dresses...

Lgjkwhcy oYou know, except for the ones that don't? Like Larentia, Ruby and Christine (you know, the one who gave her life on the battlefield because I'm dumb?), the scientist at the atelier, all the priestesses who save people from death? Sylvis, please. Don't be an asshole.

K6a8y571 oA stiff breeze could break them!

Lgjkwhcy oErgh, Sylvis... not to be a jerk myself, but... your defense isn't exactly what I'd call stellar, either...

K6a8y571 oThey can't do anything without men around to protect them. It's pathetic!

0hsunijm o

Ps4nmuuw oIt is true, I do not feel confident enough that I could defend myself in battle... If I were captured by the Empire, I'd have no illusions that I would come out alive.

Uedfz3v4 o Tianna, this better not be foreshadowing for anything...

Ps4nmuuw oYet I do not pity myself, nor do I think I should be pitied. I am content with my life. Why do you suppose that is, Sylvis?

K6a8y571 oWho knows? I'm not a mind-reader.

Egfg2idg o

Lgjkwhcy oReese, Tianna was talking, you know.

Meoilxpy oAnd in return, she helps ensure that we have a home worth coming to after the battle is over. And for that, I'm very grateful to her. She's not just some object for us to keep at home to do housework.

K6a8y571 o......

Ps4nmuuw oLord Reese...

Meoilxpy oI do not profess to know the values or customs of the people of Apollonia... But regardless, it's unfair of you to criticize our way of life when you clearly don't understand it at all. You say our women only spend time on fruitless efforts, but you couldn't possibly be more wrong. Marybelle, Cecily, Teresa, Lumiere, the sisters at the temple, and not to mention my own women soldiers...

Brnhmh0h o

Meoilxpy oThat's why we emphasize putting the men on the battlefield, to protect what's most important!

K6a8y571 o......

Lgjkwhcy oAwkward... I'm not entirely sure what to say, here. I'm kinda afraid of saying the wrong thing.

Lgjkwhcy oWell, I'll say that it'd be better if nobody had to fight, man or woman. That much should be obvious, in my opinion.

K6a8y571 oForgive me, Lord Reese... I spoke out of line.

Lgjkwhcy oYes, you did. You must cripple at least three guys in the next map for me to forgive you.

Meoilxpy oAs long as you understand, it's fine...

Ps4nmuuw o...If I may ask, Sylvis, what prompted you to travel here to Narvia?

Lfmsvt40 o

9qk5ifz8 o Okay, so after that awkward part, we get Sylvis's backstory. Sure.

Ps4nmuuw oWeiss? I'm afraid I have not.

9qk5ifz8 o We have, though. See if you can remember where.

K6a8y571 oHe sails around the Sea of Berre targeting large merchant ships. He's been awful for trade. I've been tracking him across Lazberia for the past three years.

Ps4nmuuw oThree years?!

K6a8y571 oCall it a personal vendetta. Those rumors you heard about me used to be more accurate.

Lgjkwhcy o You used to be made of steel?

K6a8y571 oI heard about the price on his head, and I foolishly thought I could take him down all by myself. I took the job, and by dumb luck I found him at Port Gaillard...

Kcjnphwl o

Ps4nmuuw oHe sounds like a formidable opponent!

Lgjkwhcy o Ohohohoh, you have no idea, Tianna...

K6a8y571 oYes, and whenever I get close to him, he's always one step ahead... He made such a fool of me... My pride as a bounty hunter was soiled because of that man!

Meoilxpy oThen I take it you came to Narvia in order to continue your hunt for this pirate Weiss?

K6a8y571 oIndeed. I heard a rumor that his ship was spotted in the Sea of Berre near the Duchy of Narvia. I intend to stay in this country until I confirm if this rumor is true. However, I don't anticipate that this will interfere with my regular work as a mercenary. Please feel free to hire me as you see fit, Lord Reese.

Meoilxpy oVery well, I will trust in your skills and in your honor as a warrior.

9qk5ifz8 o You know, I wonder if she wasn't originally meant to be introduced here instead of back in chapter 1. This whole scene feels weirdly out of place, given we've been hiring her for many chapters now, and her appearance in chapter 1 was so sudden... not to mention the fact that she's so much better than almost everyone else when she joins.

Olt5ofyn oBuw8vrzo o

Anyway, we've got missions!

Xhlvczbe o

We'll be going with Lumiere first, because it's where another one of the Silent Three speaks up and gets his character arc. Will it be Adel or Leon, though? Place your bets!

9vylsclq o

3cxl4xfi oIndeed, milord! It is great news. They are going to assist in taking down the local pirates, I hear. It is high time that the knights took care of those problematic cretins who have made trouble for so long.

Meoilxpy oYes, and I heard that Lord Vanmilion himself was tasked with carrying out the mission to the north.

3cxl4xfi oTo the north, you say...? Ah, do you mean Vall? That little island just visible in the distance from the northern shores?

9qk5ifz8 o We've heard that name before, too. Once again, see if you can remember where.

Meoilxpy oIndeed. It seems it has become the pirates' base of operations.

Zxcwzpoj o

Meoilxpy oWhat do you think of that idea?

3cxl4xfi oHmm, these pirates are certainly dangerous enough as to warrant careful preparation... What with looting, kidnapping, dealing with slavers... And considering that it is their base... Yes, I believe that it will be vital to take such precautionary measures.

Lgjkwhcy o Okay, Ward. Thanks for the heavy-handed summary.

Meoilxpy oI am glad that you agree. This reconnaissance will also serve another important purpose:

3jtity1j o

3cxl4xfi oAn excellent idea, milord. I shall prepare a team who shall carry out this reconnaissance.

Meoilxpy oWhen Lord Vanmilion's forces arrive, he may have little time to mind prisoners during the battle. Therefore, intruct our team to rescue any prisoners they come across during their mission, if possible.

3cxl4xfi oUnderstood. I will make ready at once.

X6oqsdbo o

If you guessed Adel, pat yourselves on the back. Leon actually has the latest beginning to his arc out of any playable unit. Seriously, it starts extremely late.

Ps4nmuuw oIt was a request by Mr. Danton, the proprietor of the atelier. He was very secretive of the details... He simply asked that I send him a trustworthy individual.

H24blq3o oIs it a matter that he doesn't want to make public?

Ps4nmuuw oYou had better ask him directly. He is waiting for you to see him at the atelier.

H24blq3o oI understand. I'll head there right now.

Uh8xsghz o

H24blq3o oDon't worry about it. What is it you need help with?

Ilrbpdns oEarlier today, someone tossed this letter from our lovely alchemist Lumiere into the atelier... She's been kidnapped by the pirates based on Vall.

Uedfz3v4 o What!? She hasn't made my fortify orb yet!

Ilrbpdns oThey're demanding 100,000 denarii.

H24blq3o oSo, you want me to break in and rescue her?

Ilrbpdns oNo, that's not it.

H24blq3o o...It's not?

Ilrbpdns oI'm sure that you and the rest of the Sinon Knights would have a good chance of bringing her back... But still... I just can't take a risk like that when her life's on the line.

H24blq3o oWhat do you mean?

Kcdel6n6 o

Ilrbpdns oThis whole business relies on the skill of our artisans to provide what our customers ask for. If we lost Lumiere, I don't know if I could keep the business afloat with all her clients gone... That's how precious she is to this business.

H24blq3o o......

Ilrbpdns oShe's a wonderful girl, too. We have a transporter who brings us materials every once in a while, but this time, they got sick. That sweet Lumiere, she went out on her own to fetch the materials herself instead!

Pmmqmo2p o

Ilrbpdns oAnyway, who knows what the pirates will do to her if we send a rescue team after her? I can't take that risk. ...So instead, I'm going to give in to their demands and pay the ransom. Will you make the exchange for us?

H24blq3o oBut Mr. Danton, where will you find 100,000 denarii on such short notice?

Ilrbpdns oOrlando has that part covered. He's going around town right now asking people to pitch in.

Lgjkwhcy oWait, isn't he standing right behind you? Look, in the image above! Right under the icon of the circle button! He's right there!

Ilrbpdns oDon't you worry about the money. Sir Adel... Please, could you help us?

H24blq3o o...Yes, I'll help you. I know an easy way for me to make my way to Vall island, too.

Lh3gcanz o

H24blq3o oThat should give me the chance to pay Lumiere's ransom for you.

9qk5ifz8 oAnd then, when Vanmilion conquers the island, we can get it back! Genius!

Hks9h575 o

This is serious, everyone! My fortify orb hangs in the balance! We must deploy our mightiest forces. That means you, Derrick.

Q1mgvbsq o... ...... .... .. .... ...... .. ... .. .. .... .... .. .......... .......... ...

Yeah, yeah, sure, whatever. Let's go.

Tip4p4qh oZbxbpepc oGwmr4dol oYfviycrm o2jxxvhuj o

You guys act as back-up.

Feun3yee o

While we're at it, let me show you this nice piece of gameplay-story integration: Lumiere is gone. And no, Orlando hasn't taken over her item list. You cannot craft any of Lumiere's items until you rescue her.

Of course, there's the detail that Orlando is here when he's supposed to be out collecting money, but... eh.

Ufdbv7ci o

Anyway, it's time for everyone's favorite part of the text updates: Preparations time.

Kramer gets a second, better sword, because I barely use him and I want to change that.

Gvaicqrt o

Sylvis picks up the gastraphetes we got last time.

2hprdi5t oGelt4wfi o

I've finally decided to follow Brightbow's advice and give these two cheap shields to use instead of the good ones. Now watch as they die because of them. I'll hold you accountable if it happens, Brightbow.

8ab5q87f o

Having hired Faye, Faramir has appeared. That means I get to take the liquid health from him.

Xvdw5my9 o

It's going to Owen, because I am terrified of losing him.

No2jhtpe oVg3mhtbt o

There we go. Holy shit that's a shitty statbooster.

Jnehfu8p o

Eh, it'll do. 26 is a little better than 23.

E7h1mnml o

Anyway, Arturo picks up a prototype shield.

Aiswagh8 oNywkgztv o

Sylvis picks up a pack of iron arrows and bodkin arrows. Bodkin arrows have 1 might, but they ignore all shields. There's a ton of situations where they'll come in handy.

Phblqjmk o78xcwnpc o

With our repairstone, I follow Brightbow's wise counsel and repair these two things already so I don't risk getting a green break. The Gram could still be repaired, but the Euthyphro would disappear. I like the Euthyphro, so I'd like to keep it for a while, at least.

F9x3zrmn o

Czene gets some darts. They're throwing knives, still weak, but they have 1 range.

Yjp2h38u o

While rummaging through my guys' inventories, I noticed that the gear I stole off of that one heavy knight is actually in perfect condition. That is awesome! Kiteshield goes to Arthur for now, in case he needs something sturdier to tank.

Dy1s38za o

As for the battleaxe-- Axel keeps it. Sigh... One of these days, Derrick. One of these days.

Fbmsdiua oFtinhmnd o

Lastly, we hand over some of the spears we obtained in the previous chapter.

Jht6zcgm oBlqi8bi8 o

Next time, we rescue people from bandits. Farewell.

Okay so it wasn't an oversight.

I would have found it hilarious if it was, but hey it makes sense.

That would be because you wouldn't really know unless you read all of my comments and whatnot. (Which really, you have no reason to do at all.)

In one of the chapters, there is a miniboss named Minas whom you are supposed to capture for a citizen request. She alone killed:

  • The Gram
  • Reese
  • Izerna
  • Faye
  • Ward
  • Dean
  • Axel
  • Czene
  • Aegina
  • Enid
  • Perceval
  • Marcel
  • Daoud

The green-haired soldier vaguely resembles her.

But I do get the last laugh!

Minas: actually a minotaur broken out of Knossos?

No, it's normal. I didn't have hard unlocked.

Actually, my problem is that I was way too fast. I made it to Oliver in no time, and then a trillion units spawned behind me. Imagine my despair when I realized I'd have to kill all of them. Admittedly, it wasn't so bad because Ike is even more badly designed than Seth, but still, pretty damn unnecessary, if you ask me.

I had forgotten there was that many.

Because again, Neph Neph mothafucka. I didn't even have the transfer bonus, this was all from RD itself. Also Boyd, Nailah and Ike I guess, it's not like others weren't helpful, just I know those were on the stairs in particular.

Nephenee? Nephenee sucks in my run. She deals bad damage and has no defense. Left her and Brom behind to bring Meg and Aran into the tower.

Incidentally, I only brought Naesala as my only royal. Seeing Dheginsea, I can't help but wonder if that was a mistake.

That sucks to hear, I swear I didn't expect her to work out so well twice but she did and I stand by her being more than useable.

And as for Dheginsea, I went with the royals as it was my first time and it would be easier to use what I knew would work, because Dheginsea is fucking wild and I didn't know how much so before going in. I don't know who else you used, but the unit who did the most damage in one hit for me was Ilyana at 20. Maybe do what the big brain people do and get a wyrmslayer blessed.

I obviously don't think he's 1:1 for a second. I mean that I could see somebody taking some of the negative traits while thinking about a character. Then taking that prototype and tinkering further........

And then proceeding to not give Makalov a single positive trait. I will walk back the idea that it was halfway direct, but I could see someone's character planning linking one to the other.

And I think if 8-4 didn't do the localisation we might have been doomed to a worse writing of him for SD that leaned him closer to the worst character not named Anankos.

Honestly, it was bad, but not as bad as "rout in the desert" or "rout in the fog." Seriously, part 4 loves its routing far too much. You have no idea how happy I was when I saw that Izuka was a boss kill.

To be honest... I think I have a problem not routing maps. Exp crazy. I mean... I slowly chipped Bentheon to death instead of one-shotting him because a) more exp and b) Bradamante (forged wing spear for the casual observer) preservation. I'm a damn addict to killing everything.

2 hours ago, Saint Rubenio said:

Ike is even more badly designed than Seth

Ike has to be broken because of the decision to make the game unwinnable if he doesn't get the killing blow on the final boss. Because that way it makes it harder (though not impossible) to soft-lock oneself on the final boss. Never mind the fact this has unfortunate effects on the gameplay for every other chapter he's playable.

I didn't know magic could defeat Superman.

Superman has zero resistance to anything magic. A nice example was the issue where he fought Dracula... who ended up hypnotizing him... and then went for the throat. Except Superman's powers come from his body cells being... you know, charged with sunlight. Dracula in his bid to turn Superman into an undead servant ended up ingesting what amounted to liquid sunlight. Very interesting death sequence ensued. It's notable, in the 1970s there was a story (kryptonite no more) where all the kryptonite on Earth was turned into lead by a chain reaction that reduced Superman to a quarter of his power prior (though the sneaky bastards worked it back up over the next decade, and kryptonite in space was unaffected hence it kept falling to Earth or being brought in by aliens until it was a thing again). So in the 70s, Superman was comparable to my Raphael from that one Three Houses run. Immune to pretty much any conventional attack, but weak against magic.

If I may interject, Lord Reese, one can often observe how the strict enforcement of gender roles often lead towards people ending up in areas where they can't apply their talents. Or even worse, unqualified people end up in a position of great authority where their ineptitude ends up costing many people their lives. For example many people see King Volcens as not a particular skillful ruler and would rather see his sister Princess Sienna to be the leader of this country.

In any case, looks to me like the only sidequests that result in an alternate scene like this are those were an NPC gets kidnapped.

Having hired Faye, Faramir has appeared. That means I get to take the liquid health from him.

Couldn't you have accessed his inventory the entire time from the Item List?

There we go. Holy shit that's a shitty statbooster.

I mean, this is a game where not a single character has a HP growth higher then 40%. Most need to get a lot of levels for that kind of improvement.

Or, you know, this.

I would've noped outta there so fast if I had been given the option. It wasn't even hard, because Nailah and Ike are literally invincible. It was just tedious as fuck.

Basically a promotion.

Aside from the story-related ones (which basically make the OPest units in the game even OPer) these where supposed to fix the atrocious balance by making even the worst units at least useable, albeit with high investment: useless to say, the devs completely bombed it and judging from the latest MOD batches it seems they have completely given up on that, assuming they even had any intention of fixing things to begin with.

Ironically, Uzi is one of the few lucky units that really needed a good upgrade AND got it: others weren't as lucky and either got awful or subpar upgrades or f@ck nothing at all, while more and more units that didn't need them are hogging the good ones instead.

Okay so it wasn't an oversight.

I would have found it hilarious if it was, but hey it makes sense.

It's still pretty hilarious.

Minas: actually a minotaur broken out of Knossos?

Ergh... no, not quite.

I had forgotten there was that many.

Because again, Neph Neph mothafucka. I didn't even have the transfer bonus, this was all from RD itself. Also Boyd, Nailah and Ike I guess, it's not like others weren't helpful, just I know those were on the stairs in particular.

I'm glad your Neph Neph was so good, because in my run she was worse than Aran.

...pffft... okay, no, she wasn't, but I like to think she was. Dawn Brigade for the win.

That sucks to hear, I swear I didn't expect her to work out so well twice but she did and I stand by her being more than useable.

I can totally understand.

I managed to beat him by using my godly Nolan and Leonardo, as well as some minor chip from Ike (seriously, they both did double Ike's damage, it was so satisfying to see)... and Naesala for the finisher. His battle quote is so ironic. I would never have won if it wasn't for him being able to take Dheginsea's final 2 hitpoints.

I obviously don't think he's 1:1 for a second. I mean that I could see somebody taking some of the negative traits while thinking about a character. Then taking that prototype and tinkering further........

And then proceeding to not give Makalov a single positive trait.

Hahahahahah... yeah, that's probably what happened.

I will walk back the idea that it was halfway direct, but I could see someone's character planning linking one to the other.

I could see that, yes.

And I think if 8-4 didn't do the localisation we might have been doomed to a worse writing of him for SD that leaned him closer to the worst character not named Anankos.

Shadow Dragon writing is a blessing. If the entire series had gotten the same treatment, it'd be so much better.

I was just clarifying the fact that for some reason we drink more tea per capita.

Now that is an awesome fact.

As for potatoes, it depends personally. I'm not exactly a man for the boiled spud and as it turns out some types of spud are not my thing.

Ah, I see.

It made me think of this Arnold:

ha-696x442.png

Ahahahahahah... of course, I shoulda guessed.

He's wearing black armour, so I thought of a different Black Knight.

No, it's not FE at all. But if you get it it'll make sense. Hopefully up to a certain point.

No, I don't think so...

I mean, is he wrong?

Eh. We mostly owe our victory to Ward. But Marcel helped!

Reese needs aloe vera after that.

The poor dude...

Similar to myself after yesterday, only I didn't get burned by the guy Roswick calls disappointment.

Hey, that's not quite it. He merely called him "unresourceful". Which I suppose, coming from Sweetest Grandpa Roswick, might as well be calling him "disappointment".

I mean, he didn't say he wouldn't make Marcel one of his knights.

Very specific wording I suppose.

Still, kind of a shitty joke to make in this situation.

Again, please delete.

Hah! Never.

He had his title stripped as punishments so Reese had to regive it.

Yeah, in retrospect, I should've known.

See, the difference is that Runan used his Runysmile a few times. He looked extremely uncomfortable, but he did it.

Reese doesn't smile a single time in the entire fuckin' game, which leads me to believe that he literally has no idea how to smile. When he tries, it comes out like that, so people asked him to never do it again.

TIANNA THREE YEARS IS NOT THE TERRIFYING PART HE CAUGHT SYLVIS'S ARROW IN MID AIR.

RIGHT?! IMAGINE IF I EVER HAD TO FIGHT THAT MONSTER!

Maybe she was supposed to only be hireable from here at some point, then they realised they needed another way to cripple enemies so changed their mind and had her be available after the first chapter.

Whatever it was, I'm glad they did it.

He could have just come back to tell him the amount he got now. 100,000 denarii is huge and I doubt your army will have that much.

I know that's not the actual reason, but sometimes you might as well make a hypothesis.

I agree, I agree.

To be honest... I think I have a problem not routing maps. Exp crazy. I mean... I slowly chipped Bentheon to death instead of one-shotting him because a) more exp and b) Bradamante (forged wing spear for the casual observer) preservation. I'm a damn addict to killing everything.

I usually am, too... when the game isn't so damn slow that I feel like I'm falling asleep every time I play it. Seriously, RD is the only game where I've ever turned off animations. It's that bad, and it didn't even help that much.

Can't say I'm too fond of that decision, to be honest. Give me a Gotoh if you're so worried I'll get softlocked.

10 is too low. Quite honestly, Makalov times anything will still be a zero in my book. Kind of like Matthis will always be number 1 in yours. In that aspect, the only way one can effectively compare the two is to binary coding. 1s and 0s.

Hah! I never knew computers were made of Matthises and Makalovs.

Considering a particular slur for those of Irish descent (I should know, because on finding out we had Irish blood, my brother and I had a back and forth with a "you're a ____") includes both potato and another ethnic slur, that is kind of a stereotype. That said, I do love potatoes.

But... are you Irish? I always pictured you as a scandinavian.

Saint Volcenio. The self-declared Saint.

The saint of time limits.

Quick, someone get Houdini to fight Superman.

And Lyarc's thigh.

Pffft!

I think it was more about... you know, boasting they'd killed that Danish prince or whoever else lead the army they fought on a given day. While desecrating his mortal remains. You know, as opposed to trying to kick goals. Kind of mutated.

I understand: back in the day, the players murdered each other. Nowadays, it's the audience that fights to the death. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

When you realize why Snake was absent from Smash 4, but showed up in Ultimate. That dog died in between.

Hah! That's probably it, yes...

Weird considering that Morgan Le Fay was female. Also Arthur's half sister. Who also did that thing I'm not going into.

She was a Morgan clone too. You know, like those female Morgans from the last LP.

When it becomes the only series Square Enix is doing for the rest of my life. Which would be... fine I guess. I mean, I'd have liked to have access to the half dozen Dragon quests I don't own (well, maybe not X, but the other 5). But whatever.

I don't know, the most recent Square Enix game I've played is Super Mario RPG.

...No, wait, Square made Octopath Traveler, didn't they?

I did say other four members. That's still only three. Probably need a Cranky Kong fill in too.. but not one that's a total dick like Volcens (sides we already had him parody K. Rool, Derrick Knight 64 when?).

Ward is a perfect fit for Cranky Kong.

I mean, Donnel does in Awakening too, so it's clearly international. But anyway my point was pothead is another term for a stoner here...

Yeah, I knew that, but... seriously, they wear pots on their heads! Why!?

It would've been interesting, seeing as there had been a drought at the time. Then again... 10-20 minutes. What's the harm?

The harm is possible lawsuits from the water company, if there were one. Or public lynching from the guys whose shower water was taken in the middle of the act.

My favorite part of the game involves companions from the cart trip, and what you might call their character progression to avoid spoilers.

Oh yeah, for a game with so little in the way of story, they were pretty great.

Spoiler

The moment when you find Mendoza in the woods and he transforms into Mendoza.exe was actually pretty chilling. Same with Don Diego dropping from the trees.

Quesada's the one that got the short end of the stick there. He just... kinda died to the second level boss. Would've been great if the second half of level 2 had been about trying to locate the injured Quesada... only to find him already half-transformed into some sort of horrible beast and having to fight him after he begs to be finished off.

Not in that exact phrase. Because he doesn't speak English. I think.

Hah! Yeah, that's right.

My headcanon is that he does speak English, but he won't acknowledge it because he doesn't want to translate his games, as another form of dickmove against his fanbase.

Well shit. You came to the same conclusion about that pronunciation as me, as I assumed his name was derived from Taurus the bull in the Zodiac, but with more of a Spanish flair than Greek.

I don't know, it doesn't even seem to be a real name, anyway, so might as well pronounce it however we want. The way I do it is pretty satisfying, I must say.

To be honest, I was waiting for the right moment from the point I laid eyes on it.

Of course you were.

I did? I'm sorry. I really need to get a proof-reader that can tell me what I've done wrong instead of barking at me.

Don't worry about it. Reward your proof-reader with a treat next time he calls out a typo.

Vanmillion percent behind this sentiment.

Hwahahahahahahah! Indeed, I agree.

So you admit to being your own worst enemy.

Well, I mean, I've three LPs worth of evidence, and a fourth one in the making.

First the Runysmile, now the Reesegrin. War really is creating a split personality in these lords.

As I said above in my reply to Dayni, my headcanon is that Reese legitimately does not know how to smile, because as a completely emotionless man he's never felt the need to do it.

But was stripped of. Remember? He just got it back.

Yeah, yeah, okay. Is everyone going to point it out, as always?

Suddenly it makes sense why Gasch wasn't worried. Maybe he didn't realize it needed to be on him to work.

That's probably it.

When you realize the wicked bastard is pretending to be inept so his boss doesn't catch onto what he's doing.

He just gets worse and worse!

When I've been adding an "en" the whole time. I hate myself.

That wasn't very erotic.

Maybe Reese really does have a split personality, and it's war-Reese that saw those, but peace-Reese was out for a bit at the fort?

Nah, Runan was the one with the split personality. Reese is a sociopath.

Valery's board per-chance?

Yep, you win the prize: an imaginary cookie. Enjoy.

If he's standing right behind him, perhaps he's back.

Saint Palpatineio

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Horseman The Raider? I thought not. It's not a story Ruben would tell you. It's a Kaga legend. Darth Horseman was a Horseman of Archanea, so powerful and so wise he could use the Glitch to influence the midichlorians to raid villages… He had such a knowledge of the bandit side that he could even rob the ones he cared about of their belongings. The bandit side of FE is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice raided his village in his sleep. Ironic. He could raid other villages, but not his own.

Volcens Claus is coming to town!

Volcens Claus? Pffff... ahah... okay, good. Good interpretation of it, I guess.

It really does. 4-2 is a really boring map, (RIP Mangs' ironman) but I actually liked the desert one because I got to use my 11-mov Aran, (Celerity + Boots = fun times) and Laura.

Isn't that awesome. I got to have Nealuchi and Naesala team up, so that was fun at least. Still, spending an hour and a half slowly crawling towards "Literally Hitler" Numida was not pleasant at all.

They're pretty good if you're using the worse units. I.E, Mist, Rolf, Ilyana.

Mist died, actually. I had to consider resetting a chapter and enduring another 30 minutes of boredom, or sacrificing her. The choice was obvious.

Eh, I doubt that I'll make it that far.

There's just something annoying with having a crippled cleric limping towards the exit point and Minas guns her down while saying "If you retreat, I will not follow!"

...And having your best combat units all crippled.

Eheheheheheh... I, I uh... I can only hope I fare better.

Oh boy! Are you going to go for the chest in this one?

Kvbwgecb o Hey, I'm not even FROM Narvia, I'll have you know.

Vnr7otde o ...she wasn't talking about you.

Kvbwgecb o Wha... since when are you here? And what are you doing hiding behind the counter?

Vnr7otde o ...

So this means that, while Faye isn't hired, he's just hiding behind the counter? That's amazing...

I think Sylvis might be playing too much Dwarf Fortress.

I can't deny that the idea of Sylvis running into battle carrying a baby is absolutely hilarious.

Vnr7otde o ...I like that guy.

Hush, Faramir. Your job is to act as Faye's casual mode. Keep your opinions to yourself.

Vqoe2ro0 o Excuse me, but some people need this counter for their work, you know!

Vnr7otde o ...

Yeah, Valery needs it to keep pretending that he's an upstanding citizen.

Q1mgvbsq o .. . ... ........, .... ....., ... ... ..... ....... ... ... ...... ........... .. ...... ..... ..... .... ....... ...... ...... .. .. ..... ..... .... ..... ..... ..... .......

Q1mgvbsq o  .. .... ....., ........... ..... ... .. .. . ........ .. ..... ......... ..... ..... .......... .... .. ....... .... ...... ..... .....

Q1mgvbsq o  ... ....... .... ...... ... .... ....... .. ... . .......... ........ ..... ... ..... ...... ... ... ...... ........ ...... .. .. ... ...... .. .... .......

I'm... not even going to attempt to decypher this.

...ohhhh you put it below with white text! How... how did I never think of that...?

If I may interject, Lord Reese, one can often observe how the strict enforcement of gender roles often lead towards people ending up in areas where they can't apply their talents. Or even worse, unqualified people end up in a position of great authority where their ineptitude ends up costing many people their lives. For example many people see King Volcens as not a particular skillful ruler and would rather see his sister Princess Sienna to be the leader of this country.

Derrick once again proves that he's the greatest person in Lazberia. We should put him in the throne instead of Volcens.

Seriously though, I gotta try that white text trick. Here, this is what Derrick said in the last update when I hired him.

You really need to stop making me out to be some sort of invincible powerhouse...

Kvbwgecb o  In any case, personally I would have liked to hear what Tianna was going to say before Lord Reese cut her off.

So do I! For such a stiff guy, he sure is rude.

Or maybe she used to be in her teens.

Don't even bring that up. I'm still shuddering at the idea that Kaga could've made her underaged. Thank goodness he exercised some restraint... or one of his fellow Tirnagog employees changed it behind his back.

And put her in chapter 1 while they were at it. God bless that person, whoever they are.

In any case, I'm sure her arrows can indeed pierce rocks.

She's awesome enough to pull it off.

Well, Weiss does have one of the smallest bounties on the list.

That much is true.

It does feel like it. Wouldn't surprised if at some point someone decided "You know what, she will be available for the whole game. PUT HER IN CHAPTER 1!"
In any case, the game is most certainly better for it.

Oh yeah. Sylvis is one of the most fun units to use. I can't imagine being stuck with Christine and Sherlock till chapter 5.

Meoilxpy o Apparently they were tasked with hunting down a small army of knights who conspired against the crown on orders of Lord Reese... of... Sinnon...

Meoilxpy o Goddammit, Volcens.

Ahahahahahahahahahahah... once again, I can totally see this, and that's not good.

If you decline the mission, it also plays a different cutscene that establishes that Lumiere returned. ...though it's a pretty weird one. They don't actually explain how she returned. Though the tone seems to suggest that the ransom was paid.

I seem to remember something like that, too.

In any case, looks to me like the only sidequests that result in an alternate scene like this are those were an NPC gets kidnapped.

I mean, it'd be kind of a dickmove to take a vendor away for the entire game.

Couldn't you have accessed his inventory the entire time from the Item List?

Uhhh...

...I'm... not sure. I could sell the potion from Tianna's "sell items" menu, but the item list thing didn't occur to me.

I mean, this is a game where not a single character has a HP growth higher then 40%. Most need to get a lot of levels for that kind of improvement.

Yeah, but still... 3 HP...

[Addendum]

(That's what happens when doing this kind of stuff at 6:00 a.m.)

I suppose so.

Look at the list of people following your LP and take a wild guess.

(Or you can just check who's the one that posted something between that comment and the previous one)

The one who posted before you was Dayni. I am asking who Daysi is.

Eh, she'll be fine...

... maybe.

Good thing she does not have cat ears, no?

Good thing the guy doesn't know of that secret passage.

Goebbels flanking the civilians would make the chapter plain bullshit.

And now back to where we left off:

Imagine if there was a turn limit.

And fog of war.

And enemies moved entirely randomly.

And your units suffered either a 50% crit or 90% accuracy penalty.

So... still Berwick Saga?

If you can, then welcome to GFL's night maps!

tumblr_pfetq8b5DK1w169g0o1_500.gif

(Okay, they aren't actually THAT bad, but still...)

I love how you claim to like the game, but then you keep giving me arguments not to ever touch it.

Izerna 1 - 0 Katri

I'm still mad about that, I'll have you know.

And it was so easy too!

(Maybe)

That would imply Clifford wouldn't be the one delivering the blows in his drunken stupor.

To his daughter, to be precise.

Sorry, not sorry.

(Though you've most likely seen this one already in my previous post by now)

Yeah, you already sent that one.

dca3c6c3-a9c3-4209-ad19-62dd5f22dc93.jpg

Yes, that is... that is what she said, indeed.

Pretty sure she's still ahead of Katri though.

Yes. Yes she is.

Unless you count Neuron as Katri too, i guess...

No I don't. All I count is that she got Attrom and Juliattisnacordst killed. Depriving me of the chance to continue saying "Juliattinacordst" throughout the game.

Shut up, you. Go buy a nose.

Welcome to Sparta Fire Emblem Berwick Saga videogames!

Yeah! Videogames in general!

Meanwhile, the Goddess:

konosuba-drinking.gif?fit=525,294

Ah, yes. The one they call the useless goddess. I've had some clips from this anime recommended to me by Youtube.

The protagonist is despicable, but I suppose that was kind of the point.

Could have been worse: they could have been the ones going down to the defenseless healer instead.

Gavial-(Arknights)-Arknights-%D0%98%D0%B

That's me in TF2.

16EosSw.jpg

Oh God, the mood whiplash...!

45e.jpg

Hey, when you usually never make it to the podium, you have to take what you can.

And that's all for now: today's update will have to wait.

All righty.

Fanservice.

Ah, yes, that wonderful thing that is so necessary most of the time.

Pretty sure not even the worst gachas work like that, and sure as heck neither GFL nor AK do.

Well, I wouldn't know. I don't want to get involved with gachas.

Both.

Ah, I see.

They are horns.

Well, in that drawing they looked like socks. And in this one they look like octopus tentacles.

...Oh, for crying out loud, she has tentacles in her hair... Japan!

PoshFrigidAtlanticblackgoby-size_restric

That's it? Well, I suppose it's impossible to comment much when there's not much to see either. Seriously, it didn't hit me that I've only watched a single cartoon from start to finish in my entire life until... well, I only had one name for the cartoon list.

Tower Defense.

Yeah, I figured that one out myself. Then I forgot to remove the question.

Welp, so you indeed saw it already (but it's too late to edit my previous post)

Hahah, fool.

Pffff... if you keep saying things like this, you'll end up selling the game to me.

Uh...

b3c607e0-b7e3-4db8-ac61-779758ee27dd.gif

... dunno.

What anime even is that? I've never seen it before.

Sigh... Okay, I'm not sure if I should ask, but why is she in her underwear? Is that her standard attire?

Y8ew3fye oBut since Polaris has basically abandoned any pretense of still being working on "Stormfall - Saga of Survival" since over a year ago, i'll just dump him on you instead.

That one looks horrible, not gonna lie.

MTO61aJlBjSj9XFSVez5ltyXcI0dwleFmKCYTXp6

Oh right, I'd forgotten she wears invisible panties so nobody can look at them. Genius.

Valery is a villain. That is my whole input.

Well, ergh... n-not quite?

S.A.T.8_Q%E7%89%88%E5%8A%A8%E7%94%BB.gif

Cool trick. But why is she wearing two huge fidget spinners?

[Addendum]

Alternative take of the whole Goddess spiel:

(Yeah, She isn't pleased by your units constantly missing either)

Ergh... that thing sittin on the throne is a she? It looks like neither a she nor a he. It looks more like an eldritch abomination of undiscernible gender.

Nay:

Spoiler
Bbvlkguk o

So here's the thing.

4mr1caun oIklhdfka o

For today's thing, we will bring a team.

The thing shouldn't be that difficult. There are a few nasty surprises hiding among the enemies, but other than that, it should prove to be smooth sailing for all. Well, except the enemy. There's also a chest inconspicuously chilling in the upper corner. Really, the most difficult part should be approaching the boss and a set of reinforcements that I know are coming. Everything will be fine.

Uprhoan4 o

Eyy, it's Penelo's boss! He won't be leaving today. He's also not a bounty target, which is... interesting, to say the least, given his resume.

Hmdzr8rk oNo, boss... Ain't heard nothin' yet.

Xwoxwtwj oTch, don't they care about her at all? Bunch of stuck-up assholes... Shave her hair and send it to 'em. Maybe that'll make them realize we mean business.

Lgjkwhcy o Look, Kaga did Ludveck first! Uh... extremely ugly Ludveck.

Xwoxwtwj oAfter that, give 'em half a day to come up with the money.

8wrjuugm o

Hmdzr8rk oYa found a buyer, boss?

Xwoxwtwj oSure did. He's very interested. Even with her head shaved, she'll fetch a mighty price! Gehahaha!

Uedfz3v4 o Why must it always come down to that with Berwick brigands?

9nw6wyqj o

Oh God... They don't have eyes! Is that why they picked them? Easier to kidnap when they have no eyes to see the kidnapper coming?

Zip6ernd oNo! They can't...! Oh... Someone, please save us!

Biklshgy oIt'll be all right, I promise. Someone will come rescue us. We can't give up hope. We just need to be strong and trust that we'll make it through this. That's all we can do right now...

Qw7pfebt o

H24blq3o oThey let us walk right in after we showed them the ransom money! Now that we're this close, we don't need to worry about not making it to the prisoners in time... Mr. Danton may not like it, but I think this is going to be our best chance.

9qk5ifz8 o Oh yeah, we're going to wipe them out. What, you didn't seriously think that the whole map was going to be handing the money over to Zaiath, right?

H24blq3o oEveryone, I'll take point! I want to make rescuing any hostages our top priority for this mission!

Lgjkwhcy o Oi! What're ya doing barking orders like that? Derrick is the leader of the D-team! Derrick, what is your bidding?

Q1mgvbsq o..............................................!

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!

Jsgkkmwp o

Okay, so the object is to escape. We need to open the door to the maidens, and afterwards we have to escort them to the pier on the upper right corner.

O5dxazja o

Guess-who will lead the charge.

7xo47fcl o

He's immediately faced with an enemy he cannot tank. If I were smart, I would've unequipped the shield, because it doesn't make a difference here, but...

Hnlus2ie oIpvg81jh o

And he promptly takes some damage. Excellent.

Dhvq4xbh o

It's too early to be sporting ugly cuts, Derrick. Have some healing.

Nnwbtuca oO0xyingt o

Adel, you do as you said and take point.

2qdmn4uh o

Aaand that was all of turn 1.

92ub9fkm o

If you're wondering how to get to that chest, much like in TRS, you can morph through certain walls and just walk through. Don't ask me why.

M21yruio o

Anyway, let's do some Jeiganing with the bishop.

Li2yez8u oUceplz3t o

Doggone it...

Xi6z5oh7 o

Oh, right. Leon has a pilum equipped, so he can't counter.

Hj4enqme o

Good, thank you for not falling prey to my incompetence.

Zbblwxfx oHia5629n oIbwbu34z o

Aegina somehow fares better than Owen.

A234uxxc oKoyqpyvl o

And Kramer scores the first kill of the day.

Lwolaxoi o

Oh, look. It's an overwatch asshole. What is he packing?

Npfymwmh o

A brave bow and sniper arrows. Awesome.

M8ggglmm o

Ah! An enemy! If he crits Czene she might die! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

F4ywmyoi o9u3c00bn o

Fine.

3isvllxn oUe0qut4h o

Please die, thank you.

Ch5qyi4s oFikuba7t o

Awesome. Now we can feed the kill to Czene.

Hvbutgvd oXfcj8jqk o

Excelente.

Woqrfrnm o26gfm7mv oKf8cey04 o

Adel's speed wasn't high enough to Vantage this guy. He also didn't have enough shield skill to block. That's some great point taking right there.

Vpquuji2 oA4cdsn6x o

Hah! All the accuracy and extra hits in the world couldn't help you against raw defense! And... an unnecessary shield that I by all means should've unequipped so as not to waste it.

Imlo1y73 oWycjerbj o

Thankfully, he didn't use his shield for either arrow. It's hilarious, when a unit takes no damage they don't even flinch.

Ucyyyzv0 o5h1wgvla o

Whoa! Battle Cry...! Gotta be careful around that. Sheesh, though! How many of these units are going to have special kits?

Qcfaapju o5zp9iuoh o

All right, Derrick. It's time to be a badass.

Kbmx0yxx oNr39vhvc o

Kaboom! That's what I like to see!

Hvgpsbe2 o

Time to redeem yourself, Owen. Make this work, please.

N5s9tvjg oRet4btfd o

Bleeeeeeeergh...

Csdz2qgp oOj9w1tkp o

Better. Well, not "better", but at least you got him, unlike someone else.

17rphivn o

Haha funny number

Irvvxnaw o

Ohhh, and a crit to finish him! Good work, Adel. I mean, it was completely unnecessary, but...

Vxrmfvfq o

Let's approach the chest.

Chfdivyq o7n3c8rwe o

This ain't good, though. That's just asking for someone to get injured.

Ipge2yu8 oIorefrzh o

Leaving that aside for now. Derrick will lure the battle crier closer, and hopefully finish this guy while at it.

Pi72cvhu oUuua8a1i o

Ahah, that's my Derrick.

H7rzg92m oHebcwpv0 o

And with that, he has fallen right into my trap.

Xffmrln9 oOdat7x9c o

Not bad. Could've been worse.

Vz5ib2yd oMhhfyul0 o

And with that, it's the beginning of the end for you.

30oxvmjk oXbwlwswd oVdrfkt9j o

I'm gonna try to have Leon fight the thief. With Robust, he will not be affected by the increased injury rate.

Wlzwx1nh o

Hmmm... it looks like that lower archer does not move. We'll have to make sure, though.

While we're at it, let's take a look at the boss and his cohorts.

Im79pt9r o

For starters, there's this pirate with an anti-shield axe. Better be careful with our knights.

649ghezz o

Nima carries a key in case we didn't bring a thief, or the thief dies. He also wields a bastard sword, so he can be moderately dangerous.

Elicsd5x o

This other generic carries the axe that bypasses shields. Yeah, I took this shot later. By now, you should be used to the fact that I'm bad at this.

Hmi12x9m o

As for Zaiath, he has a brave weapon and the hit brace, but his attack is nothing to write home about. Derrick could take him, easy.

Js0peiel o

Czene peers closer the chest.

Bxe9uh01 o

This dude refuses to move. He's gonna defend that tile no matter what.

7vt8jyne o

He can also put us to sleep, so we had better deal with him first.

Dmq9d9kd oWcef0ppq o

...Okay, so I think we can be sure that those guys don't move. I mean, Owen was right there in the archer's range (guarded by Marcel, but they can't see that), and none of them moved. We'll have to take the initiative...

Yjmvhltz o

But first, Leon can lure that thief closer.

Jupwtwge o

Ah! No, not you! You're not the objective!

Mkiuep1w oKm8rc9ur o

That went well, thankfully.

Kicgysun o

Now. First off, I wait for this dude to wait.

V6yblisw oNai7hdh2 o

With Adel shieldless, let us lure the breaker axe guy closer.

Qhmorr5n o

Meanwhile, the leader of the team will ambush Leon's attacker.

Tu5w1z1n oGlpgkdhi oOqigzqo5 o

Ah! Mission failed!

Tmqhuoi9 o

...mission acceptably performed!

Cestxwxq o

...Oh, that dude didn't go for Leon either. Bah... Does anyone in this map move at all?

Rkjcvy9b o

Well, suit yourself. I'm gonna joink this while you're wasting your time.

Rdlfbk7p o

...eh? Wait, Krishna? Since when are you a man?

Wztz3ag3 oGuess I got here just in time... C'mon, boys! Let's teach these idiots a lesson!

Ixhinoer oWfbbubqz o

...oh, so opening the chest was the trigger for these guys to appear. Right, right... I thought they were timed reinforcements, but as it turns out, I could've skipped them altogether, or cheesed them. Instead, I've dropped them right on top of myself. You never go to bed without learning something new.

"But Ruben, you've played this game two times before this LP! How didn't you know this?", I hear you ask. Well, why don't we ask the man himself? As it happens, I have him right here! Hey, Ruben! I'm glad you came.

Hey, Ruben! Happy to be here.

I'm happy to have you, Ruben! So, there's a question that I believe all the reasons would like you to answer! For some reason I just called them "reasons" instead of "viewers"! The viewer is that there is no brain within my skull and I badly need to sleep! But regardless, let's move on to the question!

Okay, Ruben, shoot!

Why are you, Ruben, an incompetent, idiotic, feeble manchild with the memory of a dying goldfish and the strategical prowess of a horseman and Martel combined?

Why, Ruben, that's a great question! Sadly, I am not smart enough to comprehend brains, so I cannot answer it!

That's all right, Ruben! I'm glad to have had you on. See you, Ruben!

Goodbye, Ruben!

......

......

......

Fuck me someone's gonna die to these bastards

Pvgzq21v oYhvxhc6w o

Krishna has Adept and way too much attack and a crit chance, his merc friend has a magical sword, and--

Kfj1zszd o

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH DERRICK! Marcel is safe, for some reason (actually, the reason is that his unit type is knight, not armor), but DERRICK!!

Xsd3ozvw o

I'll put Czene in this hole here. I have no idea why it exists, there's nowhere to go from there. But I mean, it's not like my lack of knowledge about things has ever screwed me over, right? If I can't remember anything about this extremely suspicious hallway that doesn't seem to go anywhere or serve a purpose, then that must mean it doesn't serve a purpose! It's completely safe to throw the squishy thief in there! I mean, I've played through this game twice! I know everything about it!

Jestlgp0 oWpphnril oBgzpew9r o

I have several questions.

1- Why did the guy attack from up close when he has Throw and throwing axes?

2- Why didn't Leon dodge and use this chance to counterattack?

3- Why is Leon's vest in his portrait green when it's depicted as red in his battle sprite and official artwork?

E8fkarg6 o2f4yhnhd oKykclbsc o

I can't believe Kramer of all people is putting in work. I don't use you enough, man. Especially considering that you have a paralogue. In which there's an Erzheimer item that can only be obtained there and nowhere else. Yeah, that's... really my only reason to bother with Kramer.

3o1uciln oWnifhcin o

Ah, yes, there they come. I'm not scared at all. Can you tell?

Bynzkgjg oUpg7juts o

Derrick is the only one I can count on. He is a god among men. Has the meme gotten old yet? Too bad, because it's going to last the entire game. Or until his death. But how could anyone wish death upon that cute face?

P6zmmicr o

Big shield time. That leather thingy won't cut it against these guys.

I don't even have anyone to tank alongside him... Derrick risks death, I cannot employ him. Adel's the next best thing, but he couldn't possibly Vantage Krishna or the mercenary...

Jljz2rbe o

Healing for the lord. He's gonna need it in roughly 30 seconds.

Dlqz9aq5 oNw8ts0lj o

A kill for the guy I've barely used.

Ykaaj3mi oGaxpv4ls o

Ah, yes. Now that is an extremely compelling argument for me not to bench you after I get you to level 10 for the paralogue.

Vomulmoj o

24 attack! 3 crit! Way too much accuracy! 13 AS! Yes! I totally wanted to make this guy appear!

Utefuiv1 o

Wztz3ag3 oYou got guts, I'll give you that. But now you've got me curious... How's about I take you apart so we can get a good look at those guts of yours!

Wav9jifk o

How's about we call the fight a day, go to the nearest butcher and I buy you some pig guts to play with?

Dfrtm2z9 o

Of course n-- Oho!

Jtn83kb3 o

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ADEL YOU SQUANDERED IT! YOU SQUANDERER!

Koafgcmz o

Blistering barnacles... guah!

6oznfpfp o

That is hardly a compensation for the fact that you are dying, Adel.

Fpmn7zyp o

At least Marcel will not be dying any time soon.

Aqqhixgh oBn7qdo66 o7e9frkdr o

Our situation has not improved.

Qaa1bco6 o

Okay, so Adel heals, and...

Hqutnjjt o

...well. Might as well try this, no?

R3xjem3q o

Come to Papa!

Lltdh64c o

Youssschhhhson of a...

Oqfo7vnn o

All right, Aegina. Time to prove your worth.

Z2g8yzdn o

Pallas Riana

9p4an3fw oFhzeh951 o

Not bad! Not bad at all.

D9gxxbvj o

This still looks like crap.

Lw1m2l08 oRg1vagio o

Okay, Owen. Please.

T71wdigq oBcyy1ie3 o

Yep, it's over. My lucky streak is over. It ended with Lyarc's capture.

Qm9ntwcl o

Oh, for Christ's-- Where is he going now?!

Ppw5ivmn o

Oops, no time to think about that. We're still under heavy pressure.

Qfitjqs6 o

Well, maybe not so heavy. Ahaha

7dllr2ty o

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Hah! Hahah!

D5r8ttcs o

I think I just shit myself.

Zqr5p5n0 o

And the most wonderful thing is, I can't even have him attack safely, because I didn't give him any of the free pilums we got last time. I'm good at preparations, I'm good at tactics, I'm good at strategy, I'm good at survival... Man, if we don't find something I'm not good at soon, I might just be named the most perfect human being alive!

Mjao4ayj oFogkaxjv o

Sigh... Thank goodness for limitless trading. Here, have a single pilum to chuck at the guy.

Gwud1na2 o

Eargh... I don't wanna do it. If I throw that pilum and it crits, Adel dies.

Qonqi9yv o

Instead, I have someone wait so Marcel is assaulted instead.

7nwm6r0e oYyotc7qf o

Ahhh, always so nice to have good defense in an ironman run. Once he gets his fourth point of move, it'll be even better.

Tvwvrwns o

I love how you can just barely see his sword. Doesn't his arm get tired from holding it up like that all the time?

80n8jjfn o

Righto, it is time.

Hzou3nd6 oB3k0wm6d oRxdmi3yb oOu5dkz36 o

Good.

Djoxvkdl oP9ned7yu o

And with that, one of four goes down.

Rbn8hhaz o

Come the next turn, we finally bust out the mend orb. Adel badly needs healing, and lots of it too.

Gpccyrju o0m1tabny o

Next time I ought to make a gif of mend. It's quite the pretty light show as well.

Ptwjhaxx o

Wonfulder.

4k0nkzdt o

All right, so Krishna's going. To God knows where. Surely not Czene. But nah, that doesn't make sense. He's probably trying to escape. Common sense dictates that he probably escapes to the pier, like the green units. I've never let him escape, actually, so I guess we'll find out together. If nothing else, this LP's proving to be quite the learning experience.

Jf5idxzf o

No, but seriously. He can't reach Czene, can he? He might be on escape AI, but I don't trust him not to go for a guaranteed kill.

Coirwgmy o

Okay, no. He can't make it, just about. Phew... I figure he'll circle around to where the thief is, since he can't get through us, and try to slip to the pier. Perhaps I'll have to send Derrick to stop him.

Eldabsul oJwhtmwgj o

But that's not for a while yet. First, Marcel has to score another kill.

Iuarpkzd o

Almost there... perhaps we could get him another level today? That'd be level 2 of 10 for his movement point.

Dzoij3ej oIoeg9rmz oT9vch1eu o

Haa! Who needs Vantage when you can just dodge?

Eqhseaot o7rzysmcv o

And now...

Ndwstbin o

It was too much to ask, wasn't it?

Lfegpvil o

Fsssss... barnacles...!

Yxz2zuyr o

Sure, whatever, but where's the spear level?

A3rko8fl oGbkplk7v o

Aaaaand she missed the fireball. Great.

H0jdidkc oMqarjxsb o

Thank you! At least someone's doing something right!

Ismqbddx o

Kinda bad, though. He can attack both Aegina and the wounded Adel.

Iwpbuchm oYyitqhmv o

Pallas Riana time again, then.

Wzznuoon oXfkw6ntn o

Great. Very nice, thank you. That is exactly what I wanted from you.

1dmsgbqr o

No worries, she's not in Krishna's range. Double-checking because I'm paranoid.

7wvvhabr o

Heal up, Adel. Your time's not yet.

Tdqxdn8a o

......

...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand of course, his escape point is there. He doesn't go to the pier, or back the way he came. Nah, instead, he morphs into the cave's walls and phases through to the outside. That makes all the sense. How didn't I see that one coming?

Oh, I'm sorry? I should've seen it coming because there's no reason for that little hallway to exist otherwise? Oh, but that's too much to ask from my two tiny neurons! They're already begging for death, they're so exhausted! You'd require more effort from them? Is it obvious yet that I'm in a terrible fucking mood right now?!

...Nah, but that's not because of the game. That's because I have my final project due in less than two weeks and I keep procrastinating and getting mentally blocked every time something doesn't work. Which, given that I'm studying programming, is every single time I make a change in the code.

That was yesterday, though. Today was better.

Wmc4kcyx o

Anyway. That's been Czene. She can't go anywhere, and she can't survive long enough for us to save her. I sincerely hope none of you folks were terribly fond of her. You know, like me. Who was so eager to show off her character arc. But now I can't, because I fucked up and that's it.

Remember when I said every death in this game was going to hurt? Yeah. I actually thought I might be able to show off people I liked. Hah. Imagine that. By the end I'm going to be stuck with, I don't know, Volo, Dean and Kramer. That's all the arcs I'll get to go through. Well, those and the NPC ones. Thankfully, my two favorite scenes in the game by far aren't affected by permadeath. Boy, do I look forward to those. We've still got a long road to walk, though. Especially considering one of those is literally the final scene of the game.

Tyfsorye o

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Everyone, charge. Who knows, maybe a miracle will happen and she'll dodge six times in a row. Because that's the kind of thing that tends to happen to me, y'know.

Ocypewej o

Yeah, I figured. Not a single dodge.

Pjghxuzx o

Well. That's that, then. I guess we're using Thaddy.

...uuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Two deaths so far, and both have been caused by my complete and utter lack of any sort of knowledge about this game. Two prior runs, everyone!

Xeoae8si o

Can I at least kill him? Will I get that?

D5zsiu46 o

No, of course not. That was a waste of Pallas Riana uses.

Fhui5rao o

And as soon as he steps onto the little hole, he literally just fades away. Wonderful. We've lost Czene, the bounty and have gained nothing in return.

Well, there's the material. The gravekeeper will give that one back to us, at least. Woohoo. A unit in exchange for a shitty material. I hate myself...

Jovt7toq o

So let's kill this guy. Gee, a bit more damage and that would've been the perfect kill for Czene!

Pl1hfoel oYabtyox9 oQl3ljcdp o

Two hits did the trick.

By8o9yqc oOpuss13s o

Sigh... Look, I'm sad Czene's gone too, but you don't have to follow her example when it comes to levels.

9flrgbuc o

Okay, so now we just have to turn all the way around. Why did I have the whole team come up here? Well, I haven't the slightest idea. I don't know what I was doing at this point, okay? I was mad.

Yfpihvky o

All right, time to confront the boss.

Keh9rbbi o

Notice that it's turn 19, meaning we'll lose our healer next turn. So let's not waste any time and top off Leon.

Lqdgba3z o

Since they won't move, we'll bring the fight to them. For Czene!

Foqswvni o

...why. Why is it that I only get a single chapter of things going well per LP.

Cnvloptv o

Case in point! Case in fucking point! That's the guy that breaks shields, too... I think so, anyway... and this time I forgot to unequip Adel's shield!

O2mqd38v oZeiysymp o

Thankfully, at least something went right!

Mmdp8yf4 o

Gang up on him!

Odwbvphf oThnguhze o

Why must you always do this to me?

W3efkudf o

Thank you. Sort of.

Zrjbtvfp o

Airblade would've done the trick here, but I was not about to take the risk.

Qbjmygyy oVhye6etr o

Yes, very good, thank you.

Yvrwpntu oLht9mkzz o

...okay, so... that was the shieldbreaking guy, I'm pretty sure. The guy Adel's fighting is the one with the war pick, the axe that bypasses shields. I think? Maybe?

Vvujaqr1 o90nhmkdg o

In any case, let's take him down also.

Pfh0vo1e o

Aaaaaaaaaand he took the boss's concoction. Well. If nothing else, I'm glad he has left the actually difficult target without the means to screw me over.

Jzgrex96 o

For fuck's sake...

V3gznr9b o

Okay. Good. Finally.

6ygeduqk o

Now, Derrick, if you will...

Hyvwkm9x o

......

Igwslcv2 o

Go back home and rest. Go on. It's not like you missing twice killed Czene or anything. Nah, it's not your fault. It's mine, for being an integral imbecile. I mean it.

Fumfnidf o27envunu oXxi6edsi o

Oh, and the asshat has Aim, too. Very nice, very nice. This is exactly what I needed right now.

El6nhryf o

Yes! Good! Great! And this sleep is the asshole kind of sleep, too. It's not like GBAFE sleep, where you still dodge and tank and everything. Instead, there's a chance you'll wake up when getting hit, but your avoid and defense are down to 0 when you're snoozing away. So yeah, Adel's kinda fucked.

3z43n470 o

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH FUCKING FINALLY

Zxnjlfjl o1ixnt7dv o

Ahem. Excellent, Derrick. As per usual.

Pcmavc0b o

...Haaaah...

Xzwc426k o

You know what? Fuck these arrows. 3 might and a single point of extra damage is garbage.

O10emfwf o

Tried going for Adel, huh? Sorry, but you've got another thing coming. I mean, Marcel will probably lose this fight, but it's better than Adel getting whacked.

Inp51edc o6efekd18 oPaxjbba6 o

Hah! Marcel, you're the boss.

31dqsuoe oQbpfypal o

Eheheh... earrrrghhh... Very good, Kramer. That's how you motivate me to deploy you more often. That's just the way...!

Tlc0sjoa oHlbjujn6 oGf9prdpx o

It once again falls to Marcel to do everything. How I look forward to getting you your movement point.

7cohz2fk oY2xhue6f o

Not bad at all! He's quickly turning into quite the accurate slayer. More strength is also very welcome. Thank you, Marcel, keep at it.

4yhwozmn o

Okay, and now... now what, I wonder...

0cti0u2a o

Fuck it. Derrick fights the boss.

Ikw97foj o

Hahah, at this point? I don't want to. I just want to see guts that don't belong to my units. You're soon going to keep Penelo company.

Z8arcwp7 oAwqsnuk2 o

Perfect. I knew Derrick wouldn't let me down. He's the leader of the D-team, after all!

6anssjdb oAtozjaeb o

Kramer, heal up.

Xgwfj8yq o

Oof... damn, that might...

Dwf5se2f o

That's not the right portrait. Also, we weren't "posing". We really did want to mediate, but then Adel started going on about taking points, and...

Nvhjmeou o

GAAH! Rude!

Rj3iqqdq o

He's already in killing range. Hoo, boy...

Lztnvuzd o

Okay, that's better. Notice that Zaiath is angry at Derrick. That's perfect, him going after my sturdiest unit means I don't have to deal with him too fast.

Lqelcpii o

Aegina still needs to run for dear life. Nima can destroy her.

Rc7seklj o

C'mon, Derrick. You can do this...!

7dhymtxn oRccayhx5 o

Well.

Howwcdqs o

Might as well try throwing a franciska at Nima.

Xzskaeje oHzwg1gvf o

You think this is the (von) karma? Was a bunch of captures really enough to exhaust all of my positive karma? What did I ever do to deserve this?

7mtprvre o

...meeeeeeeeeeeh...

Nm1plrf5 o

Yeah, Marcel is doing it first.

Nzz9pkeh oLregql7t o

I am very happy.

Ieiunxca o

Sheesh... no, I can't do that, it's too risky...

Lf9psrdb o

Better wait for him to wait.

Nemc50bi o

Aaaaand he healed. Marvelous.

Adeaay94 o

Ah, welcome back! Just in time to see that we have done no progress at all.

Fauv8q59 o

With the slim spear, Adel has just enough AS to Vantage Nima. Let's try that.

Istgfz6f o

But first, the leader is under attack!

Tcf7u9mz o

Good attempt.

E1txjxqj oJb1ewt2w o

But not good enough!

8dsojoke o

Poor, poor fool. You can never defeat the D!

B1gzgv77 o

Eeeeeyyyyy! That is most appreciated.

Grniwcrz oD3i6exme o

Keep at it! Throw another francisca!

Dflpxzqb oA08s2qww o

Yes! Yes! Great! More!

Shjc2obm oVk6x5rgo o

You two are going down. I'll avenge Czene like this. You know, as opposed to killing her murderer. That is rather impossible. I mean, how could we beat a guy who can phase through walls?

Bkdffqlm o

Ah-HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH! YOU HAVE FALLEN INTO MY TRAP!

N9avbknv o4k32n1jy o

Why do I even bother.

Rovc3gqc o

That's cool, at least. Maybe?

Rn8ccft0 oZzzrpdnq o

Almost got it...

Xpvbayc5 o4kn2t9gu o

Okay, so I can do this. It's... extremely risky.

Qgiatiqr o

Therefore, I used Focus Chant to have 100% chance to kill. Wasteful, perhaps, but if I had tried that without Focus Chant I would've lost Aegina, guaranteed.

S4yd2idz o

And who's going to do it? Your boss? Your boss can't defeat Derrick, man.

620lir2w o

I'm going to need that, thank you.

Ey9yq78p o2nhozjw9 o57lf1pjh o

...Holy shit. No, seriously, he's beating the boss all by himself. How awesome is that?

Tz1yxgbf o

Ahh, no shield, eh?

Micofjx5 o

Very well then. It was merely a hindrance, anyway. With your arms free of any weight but your axe's...

Fa62akh6 o

Deal the finishing blow!

1cj6s885 o

Could've fed the boss kill to someone like Aegina or something, but I mean, Derrick beat him singlehandedly. It was only right to let him have his well-earned kill.

Not a single miss against this guy. We should all learn from Derrick.

710s7gc3 o

Well? What's it gonna be?

L4w24b1o o

BWAHAH! AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! HEHEHEHEH! OOOHO... HOOH... BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Q1mgvbsq o......

Ehehahahah... ahah... hwoh... bwahahah... ahhhh...

Q1mgvbsq o...... ......, ..... ... .....?

That's enough, don't you think?

Yeah, yeah, sure... ohhh, man. That's too much. Derrick, you're too good, I don't deserve you.

S4lzgs7s o

Great, a coin.

Pe0van8f o27mtdjtw o

All right, ladies. You're free.

Zip6ernd oThe door---it's open! Thank you so very much!

Uedpso69 oFreedom at last! Thank heavens you came!

Km6q67th o...We're going to do what? Steal a pirate ship?!

9qk5ifz8 o This is basically the excuse to make the green units head for the pier. At first I thought it was pretty dumb, but then I realized that we've only dealt with the head honcho and a bunch of his underlings. The rest of the island is still crawling with pirates that only let us pass when we showed them the dough (not to mention Krishna), so we naturally don't want to go back the way we came.

Km6q67th oThat one over there, you say...? A-All right, I'll follow you...

Biklshgy oThank you so much for coming. You're a lifesaver. We just need to make our way over to that pier, correct? Please take care of the others first. I'll be right behind you.

Xsukecdo o

Of course. Couldn't be smooth sailing outta here.

Cnn6vtwm o

Xtbdl5ty oYou'll never make it outta this place alive!

Kvt9ftjy o

This guy has this Erzheimer item again. Would be cool to capture him, but we're not really in any situation to be setting up captures.

D14nzhyq o

See, we're completely out of any healing, and Adel is almost dead. We must be cautious.

2ocshxcf oBqtsficq o

I'll skip the advance. Marcel leads the final charge.

Ki2bodit oQgik0uiu oApiojgfz o

Kramer is attacked by another one of the three pirates. He is unable to do much, but at least he dodged.

Qecfc3y0 o

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!

The hell are you going!? Wait for me to deal with the enemies, you dummies!

Qdsmrqxh oSwpootta o

C'mon... please...! The civilians are right there! We gotta be careful! Not to mention, since your leather shield broke, I had to equip the good one. That's one use down the drain. Thanks, man!

Ingszeet o

BWAAAHAH!

Tkcnfvc1 o

I'm proud of you, Kramer. Really gotta deploy you more often.

Ohd1vmqp o

...GWAAAAAAA--

E4hq2pzh oQjvjdp5w o

Hoooo... not sure if that would've been a kill, but I'm glad we won't have to find out.

Hd9xgdfd o

...Sigh... it can't be helped. I need these guys dead right now.

Fic4ou0v o

Please don't die, Leon. Two deaths in one day would be too much... especially in a goddamned sidequest!

Gekcvpg4 o01jopi3z o

Pfah... of course. Naturally!

8lmqtdm6 oU4sqeps5 o

Thank you, jeez!

2dqc2uo6 oYhrf3xzj o

Not too shabby.

Mbntspnc oIrnnetwu o

Aegina finishes off the one Kramer hit critically.

Czfbxuep o0nhdsxla o

Why do I even bother.

Qmq0jp6v o

Last guy comes at Marcel.

O9gxbpuc oOrpyt9pd o

Never judge a book by its cover. He may look like a 12-year-old in a skirt, but he fights like a lion. Plus, the skirt looks great.

Evpsvns3 o

So, anyway.

Le3h8mmu oX8ec7vrp o

Kramer may take the final kill. If he dodges, that is.

Vmgi4tlf o5ziu8bpc o

And so, he does the foul deed.

I9c2ppgy o

The map is almost over. Next turn they should give me the option to escape with everyone. First, however...

Wqwlxjfq o

Adel needs to have a chat with Lumiere.

4onitk1f o

Biklshgy o...Sir Adel? I never imagined that the Sinon Knights would be sent to rescue us.

H24blq3o o...That was a bit of a fall. I trust that you are unhurt?

Biklshgy oY-Yes, I'm fine... I was trembling, and I tripped over by mistake...

H24blq3o o(She's been through a lot... It's no wonder she's trembling. I should do something to help...)

Gwonfyfq o

H24blq3o oI worry for your safety, so knowing that you'll have that key will help to put my mind at ease... Now then, we shouldn't linger here. Let's make our way over to the pier.

Bghnguad o

Yes, please. We linger here for too long, and Krishna might come back through the wall to kill, I don't know, Kramer or something.

That was a complete disaster. We've lost Czene, which is... well, not gonna lie, it could've been worse. We still have Thaddy, who is better at stealing anyway, and for Watchful we got Larentia. It's just a shame that I won't get to say that Kaga did horse thieves first. Other than that, it's not too crippling a loss (in fact, I'd argue Christine was far worse), but I'm still mad, because holy shit was that avoidable. I only had to move her one turn earlier, and Krishna would've zoomed past her and escaped. But nope, I just had to be too afraid to move her inside his range. What a load of bullshit.

Sigh... Well, at any rate, that's it. Next time, we get some more scenes for Adel, and our second sidequest of the chapter. Till then, please fare better than Czene has. Or Christine. Or Esteban.

...bah...

Disgusting. Early promotion + Only letting her use swords despite her 11> strength = Pwnage incarnate. It made part 4 a lot harder.

Hi I'm Daysi.

So look, I could have used them if I decided to grind them off the Izuka map.

I could actually test that right now if I wanted to put hours in.

Somehow, I do not.

Plus I had a godly Boyd and bows weren't that important in that first run. Also to be fair, I think of the nobles only Caineghis and Tibarn fought Dheginsea.

Praise be to Nolan. More powerful than Ike himself. He's the true hero of this story.

Also my favorite unit from this game (and consequentially Tellius). So it's good to see him doing so well.

1/16th Irish on my mother's side. The fact is, I can't say I'm very pure on any given European ethnicity because quite a bit of mixed bloodlines. There's French, English, German, both Scottish and the aforementioned Irish as well. Probably some Italian given the border town the French line originated in. I mean, it's confusing, but knowing there's so many bloodlines from so many countries also means I know the odds I'm inbred are far lower.

I couldn't hack him to the appropriate level and stats (I still have the screenshots, and it's easy to remember 3 hp, 1 strength, 1 skill, 1 speed, 1 luck and 1 def)  if I wanted to because I haven't the slightest bit of understanding how any of that works.

Shit. Well... I had been enjoying her. Now I don't feel like making jokes.

Just thought it would be funny if Reese was about to say something super urgent when Vanmillion asked him to delay the report on the enemy commander.

Xwoxwtwj oSure did. He's very interested. Even with her head shaved, she'll fetch a mighty price! Gehahaha!

I would hope so, given that she is one of the few people capable of crafting magic orbs. She might well be the greatest alchemist in all of Lazberia, considering that a later conversation with Almuth heavily implies that the Raze Empire cannot actually synthesize magic orbs at all. So yeah, her haircut shouldn't have much of an impact on her price.

Well, my observation is that if an attacker cannot actually deal more damage then the defender's base defense, then the defender won't even bother using the shield.
So I suppose the reason Derrick blocked here is because the magic damage prevented the game from noticing that blocking won't actually decrease the damage here.

Well, here we go again.

Not bad! Not bad at all.

That's a matter of perspective, really.
Although with what little punch this team packs, the odds of actually killing him were probably minuscule either way. So the only chance for Czerne's survival were... well, for her to go anywhere else, really.

I have no idea what a neural upgrade is supposed to be, so...

I love how you claim to like the game, but then you keep giving me arguments not to ever touch it.

To be brutally honest, that game has more flaws than i can count (and the list is bound to get longer thanks to its dev) but the core gameplay and story are solid enough i'm willing to overlook all of them... for now, at least (and to a certain extent that's true for Arknights too)

As a matter of fact, when i first checked GFL's tiers list (and where my favourite units stood on that list) i was ready to ragequit immediately, but i liked the gameplay so much i decided to see how far going full waifu>meta would have carried me: pretty damn far as it turned out, and by then the story had just started to get good too so...

FABARM SAT-8

FABARM SAT-8 – ★★★★★ Shotgun

A shotgun so good, that basically almost everyone picked her up when the older servers were given a chance to get any T-doll in the production list for free. For general use, the Shotgun that all other shotguns aspire to be. Good HP, decent armour, and a skill that actually kicks in while the fight is in progress.

That skill happens to be giving your entire front row a 35HP shield, that takes armour into account first. It also has 5/8 uptime. Basically, if your SGs took scratch damage before? They should take literally nil now, unless its a really major fight or you were silly enough to go fight anti-armour enemies.

Additional Notes

Dusk's Notes#

Utility-wise, a very good unit. What she is amazing at is that her skill actually triggers every fight, unlike most other SGs. She can potentially fight unlimited enemies as long as the enemies cannot break her shield, which can be helpful.

... yeah, definitely not.

Besides, it's not like he knows that Ruben needs 7 more turns before he can do that move again.
