Stealing it will not only provide you with an Erzheimer item, but will also render the boss virtually helpless, as none of his other daggers have any crit. Just make sure he takes his turn before moving in Thaddy, so he won't have a chance to switch weapons. I think he always moves last, but the reinforcements won't trigger before you talk to the NPCs. If he is the only enemy on the map, he has no choice but to move at the start of a turn. Thanks for the advice! Though at this point you're just telling me how to play the game. Oh, I absolutely think it's a concept that could work if it wasn't for the small detail that it directly contradicts the sequel that came out first. And it's so easy to fix as well: due to the process involved in resurrecting someone their quintessence is quite severely drained leading to reduced life (what I'd personally pick if writing a remake), the energy exerted stopping the dragons took a lot more out of her than expected (which considering her combat in the game beforehand is 1 0 1 shouldn't be implausible), on dying her quintessence was being broken down and she came back with less of it, some examples just off the top of my head. Good ideas. Then again, Ninian in general has Deus Ex Machinas pouring out of her every pore. Her character has more things to be fixed than her inability to exist properly. It certainly has its uses in Genealogy (says the guy who in his first playthrough didn't pair Lex with anyone, but Wrath + Vantage is a consistent meme), Thracia (where it neutralises PCC on that attack and wrath so it's not that perfect. No HP threshold though), PoR has no HP threshold and you can use it on a tanky unit thanks to the scroll (Mia's alright and Naesala's Naesala), RD has it precentage procced (Why? Nolan worked fine with it to be fair, but still.), in Awakening and Fates can use it really well if you use it in conjunction with other skills and same with 3H (Again, good guy Dimitri in that thing you called a trap). But Vantage is reliant on the unit's stats, the other skills they might have, what they're using and what scale of foes they're facing, so alone it can be bad, but that's what I like doing, planning out what can be done to improve stuff like this. I like how half of these are just listing the skill's weaknesses. Seriously, how's RD being percentage procced supposed to prove that it's actually good? And, to be frank, it seems more difficult than it's worth to make this skill truly work. You more or less have to one-shot the enemy, otherwise it's no different than a regular enemy phase fight. Also useful in Heores but that's a different discussion because of how Heroes works. Ah, yes, you see, the problem here is that Heroes might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned. Berwick Vantage only works like it does because of Berwick's combat to begin with, so I wouldn't say just copying it would work imo. I never said it would. Just said that Berwick Vantage is awesome. Also accuracy in Berwick is as nervewracking as a shoddy zipline, so its reliability is also up in the air. That's why Adel has Supporter, isn't it? I'd also like to mention that in GFL all enemy factions are hostile towards each other as well as the player, which works perfectly fine with the context... until Isomer, where you are forced to kill or avoid Belgrade's forces (which are labeled as KCCO aka neo-KGB for some reason) even though it's explicitely stated in the cutscenes that you are working alongside them AND that they won't be targeting you: which is idiotic, because they could have easily made them into friendly NPCs (like they did with the KCCO forces in Chapter 10, before their betrayal) or at the very least design the maps so you couldn't access them and viceversa (like they also did in Chapter 10 when the KCCO was still on your side) and failing all that they could have adjusted the story to explain why the f@ck you need to battle your way through your allies as well (like they did in CT when you briefly coperated with SF against the KCCO), but no! And that's not even the biggest plothole of the event... Yeah: as i said, the game wasn't perfect but now it's almost as if they are ruining it on purpose! Maybe they're just trying to test how far they can go before people stop throwing cash at them. Kinda like Nintendo with their increasingly worsening online service. However, here's the thing: in this game, it's not just mages that get full movement in the desert. Every single light infantry unit gets to move around without restrictions. With the team I have deployed, we only benefit from the desert, as we can move just fine, but the enemy fighters cannot. Beyond that, there's not much. We've got Nagra and three generic pilgrims to the south, surrounded by enemies that, thankfully, won't immediately start attacking. The boss is currently hiding in the temple in the middle of the oasis. ...Okay, let's address the elephant in the room. Oddly shaped elephant, I must say. This is how wyverns work in this game. They have magical weapons. This one in particular deals 21 damage. They also have a shit-ton of defense, as you can see. I'm pretty sure nothing short of a crit could possibly put a dent into this thing. Of course, they also fly, which means most weapons can't even reach them. So how in the world are we supposed to beat these guys? Simple. Magic. Each wyvern in the game has a scale like this. It deals elemental damage when they're hit by physical weapons, which makes it even more of a terrible idea to try and fight them with melee weapons. It also makes them invincible against the corresponding type of magic, fire in this case. However, and this is the important part: they all have a distinct weakness to one type of magic. This is why Aegina is coming today. Sure, 3 magic, but there are only so many ways to go wrong with -8 wind resistance. Pallas Riana will tear this guy to pieces, and Sylvis's freeze arrows will help too. It's just a matter of luring the wyrm closer... As for the reason we want to fight it, well... Also really? I've been saying Kaga got lax as a joke but it seems doubly strange that there would be no wyverns on any main maps when they're clearly the kind of enemy that could be a lategame threat and still be designed around. The bane skills trigger when the game calculates that an attack would have hit. If that happens, it rolls again with the hit rate lowered to a max of 33%. In other words, no matter how overkill your accuracy is, you will never have a chance higher then 33% to actually hit. No. It's just the cap. If you attack with a 10% hit chance and your first roll is successful, the second roll still has only a 10% chance for success. If you attack with a 33-100% hit chance and your first roll is successful, the second roll would always only have a 33% chance of success. But first, let's talk about the various AI patterns! Units will be programmed to follow either one or a couple of the following patterns: ATTACK - Attack enemies in range, otherwise move towards nearest enemies. ATTACK(RESTRICTED) - Attack a specific targeted unit if in range; otherwise move toward the target; otherwise wait on the spot. Will not attack units other than the target, even if the path is blocked. If target leaves the map, becomes regular ATTACK type. ATTACK(MOVING) - Attack any enemies in range; otherwise move toward a specific point. When that point is reached, switches to a different AI pattern. INTERCEPT - Attack enemies in range; otherwise wait on the spot. INTERCEPT(HOME) - Attack enemies in range; otherwise return to designated "home" tile. CAUTIOUS - Attack enemies in range; otherwise move out of enemies' attack ranges (or try to); otherwise wait on the spot. He has the largest bounty by far, and yet he is so easy to catch. Sure, he can swim and will try to run away after the first round of combat. But the escape spot is easily blocked. And if it's done by Larentia, he can't even attack her. Also, while he can reach the escape point in 2 turns, his first turn will put him on a cliff, where he is an easy target.Maybe he's so high because he's covered by the wyvern? Buff with Rally Str and Spd (From two units with D authority that I already have) to get them 14 AS. Get them to take out the archer in DK's range, sit someone behind (Stride being used to allow higher movement for those around, mainly convenience and to take out the mage on the other side to be safe because if not they can kill). DK attacks, doesn't double and if he doesn't crit we continue (Because that's sadly still a problem.). Next we bring him down into Dark Spikes range with gambits and we're done. All this for pretty good hitrate, especially Lysithea on 98%. Still pissed I didn't record it, I had him taken out with Hilda, Marianne and Lysithea. Three enemies bodied him. That was cool. Also chapter 5 ended up hell and I had to reset because an archer attacking me somehow led to all the enemies moving at once, on top of ambush spawns at the same time because I'd triggered them. Once I didn't manage to trigger literally a dozen men it was uneventful. I also recruited Bernadetta before that map, so that was good. They should be able to take out the saucer's staff and effectively disable it. Sir, don't you think the idea that aliens would aid Margrave Bernstol is a little out there? We have to be ready for everything, Arcturus. So let's continue. It might be possible that the Goddess Veria sends down an avatar. It's hard to predict how huge such an avatar might be, but I think if we can have two squads of Lancers focus a charge on one of her feet, we might stagger her long enough to target her head. The question is, should we rely on our archers or our wyverns to deal that blow... ? I took a much-needed break to focus on other important stuff, both during quarantine and beyond, and I honestly don’t see myself using SF all that much outside of keeping up to date with this LP and a few others, especially now that I find it easier to keep up with the hacking community on FEUniverse. That being said, I don’t really have any witty remark about the LP (even though I caught up on like ten pages’ worth of updates in a week), but you’re definitely making Berwick Saga more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I do have other reasons, but not as much any more. As for hacking, I feel like there's so much going on that I can'tr really keep up with it all.
