What if Byleth had a class pet?

Probably a cute kitty cat or a good-boy/girl doggy.

I have a lot of loose thoughts about what could happen in each one, so I'll just group them all into a single one here.

What if the main character's dad didn't die in X?

Marth: Cornelius would probably end up stealing a lot of the leadership roles from Marth throughout the game but might serve as some way for him to learn to be stronger in times of conflict if he and Marth were put through the right circumstances together.  Judging off of his interpretation from the OVA, would probably result in a lot of exchanges of tough love to say the least.

Alm/Celica: Alm choses not to kill Rudolf and takes him prisoner instead so that he could disgrace him and his name for the remainder of history.  Would probably be sent into some form of exile or imprisonment once the war ended.  I imagine if Lima IV were still alive, Rigel would probably rely on more subversive tactics and rumor spreading to try and sow disorder in Zofia by slandering his name and making him appear to be an ineffective ruler before deciding to come in as "liberators" to set all of his "problematic decisions" correct.

Sigurd/Seliph: Byron would probably still give Sigurd Tyrfing since he would be a more capable wielder at this point in his life.  Even if he did, he looks old enough that he might die of old age or just be too crippled to fight anymore by the time the time skip to Seliph's half anyway (it's possible he just aged crappily as well).  Sigurd surviving would probably take away a good chunk of limelight from Seliph since it would ultimately revolve around a big revenge story of him fighting against Arvis and his forces for his slaughtering at the Battle of Belhalla.  For all we know though, he would probably still offer the throne to Seliph since he would probably feel that his work was done after seeing Arvis and the cult of Loptous fall and just want to live the remainder of his life in peace while his descendants are given the chance to heal the scars of the past.

Leif: Would probably be another Jeigan unit for the game and maybe a slightly nicer version of Cornelius.

Lyndis/Eliwood: Hassar would probably replace Mark as the MU! character and might only be playable in the Prologue Tutorial portion of the game.  Eliwood would probably feel that his mission would be more fulfilled since he was able to take Elbert home safe and sound.  Rest of the game would probably progress normally but Eliwood would probably be able to press forward knowing that Elbert was still alive and keeping Pherae from falling into potential anarchy.

Roy: The game happens.

Ephraim and Eirika: Fado would probably lead a resistance against Grado while doing everything possible to keep his men safe while serving as a symbol for Renais to rally behind.  And be able to maintain an impenetrable wedge between Ephraim and Eirika's relationship.

Ike: Greil would porbably go to greater lengths to make sure that Lehran's Medallion doesn't fall into the hands of Ashnard.  Basically, no Maniac difficulty for this game.  And he would go to every length possible to keep Ike from lewding Soren.

Chrom/Robin: Chrom wouldn't become exalt and Ylisse might actually be the aggressing nation towards Plegia if he was as warmongering as some of the background info says he was.  Sort of a full scale war version of Radiant Dawn if you will.  In Robin's case, Validar might actually be victorious if someone other than them doesn't have the honor of killing him.

Corrin: The events of the game don't even happen.  At least as we know them, it would be nice to actually have an idea of what sort of ruler Garon actually was to see if a war between Nohr and Hoshido was inevitable considering the current rulers at the time.

Byleth: Jeralt would probably still be at Byleth's side but what happens to him would depend on which house Byleth picks.  Blue Lions or Golden Deer: Jeralt would definitely be more conflicted considering whichever house Byleth picked but would probably be more sidelined due to not wanting to risk bringing any harm to his child unless he was given any information that might have proven that the church wasn't as squeaky clean as he suspected it might be.  Church of Seiros: Now Byleth is really pushing it.  Might even get serious enough where he becomes an enemy unit.  Who knows though?  Maybe Byleth would somehow be able to convince him that the church is simply an institution that needed to be purified rather than completely destroyed.  Black Eagles: Jeralt becomes a new playable character feeling that his suspicion of the Church of Seiros was founded on something after all and gains a sense of closure should he survive to the end.  And if the player plays the game right, can get him to move on with his life by having him getting married again but now to Leonie.
