Devil Axe Backfire

I believe the RNs for a normal attack work something like this (for FE7 at least)

2RN hit

if the attack hits:

1RN crit

If crit

1RN assasination attempt

The calculation for a devil axe backfire is 31-Luck%, but when and how is this determined?

You could try to patch the LUA script onto your emulator, it allows you to see the RNs and with some manipulation and save states you should be able to determine which RN it uses.

EDIT: I would also imagine it's either calculated after crit or hit, and assasinate isn't present because assasins can't use the Devil Axe

Logically, it'd be after hit, crit and lethality (if applicable) since it has to see what damage is done before it can backfire. I don't know for certain, but it seems logical to me.

I decided to do test it out myself. Turns out it does occur at the end, after crit or assassination. Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier lol.

I'd assume FE8 skills work in a similar way right?
